God’s 6th month, Elul 27, 5776 - 9/30/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

God foreknew the nature He put in people and how our curiosity would work. God knew and revealed to Moses, how and when He would disperse the Israelites for their disobedience. Revealed that gifted believing IN faith by grace through Jesus would be. All was planned from the foundation of the world. God knew the whole history of mankind, before it unfolded. From the beginning, a gifted “new nature” in His people, making them at one with Himself was planned through Jesus.

Prophets and loyal angelic beings looked forward to understanding the Messiah’s coming and His remission of lawlessness, “sin” against God. To the time when God’s spirit would be gifted to His chosen Elect, “a people born from above” and the new world order implicated.

The mystery to the world? “people being born from above - God’s spirit imputed to and in people.” This rebirth was first manifested on that Pentecost after Jesus’ ascension and is the example for future conversions. God’s plan includes, Jesus’ kingdom being established on earth, many being, “born from above” becoming “recipients of His nature changing spirit.“ People will one day be convinced that Jesus inspired His prophet Joel to tell this future.

(Joel 2:27- “You will be convinced that I am in the midst of Israel. I am the Lord your God; there is no other. My people will never again be put to shame. An Outpouring of the Spirit. After all of this I will pour out My Spirit on all kinds of people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your elderly will have revelatory dreams; your young men will see prophetic visions. Even on male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. I will produce portents both in the sky and on the earth – blood, fire, and columns of smoke. The sunlight will be turned to darkness and the moon to the color of blood, before the day of the Lord comes – that great and terrible day! It will so happen that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be delivered. For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who survive, just as the Lord has promised; the remnant will be those whom the Lord will call.”) Jesus’ apostle Paul was given the revelation to write.

(Rom 15:4-6;“For everything that was written in former times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and through encouragement of the scriptures we may have hope. Now may the God of endurance and comfort give you unity with one another in accordance with Christ Jesus, so that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”)

True to the instinctive inherited from Adam nature, the Israelites in Samuel’s day, (and all people in every age since.) looked around at the practices of unbelieving people and thought to themselves, “these too are good people” they are blessed as we are, “so let’s learn their way.” (Solomon even fell victim, “to the way of the gentiles.”)

God does send rain to the righteous, unrighteous and unbelievers and people in every age can choose the benefit of moral living. (The Israelites in Samuel’s day found the ways of the gentiles appealing, so they considered the gentile practices worthy of incorporating with their God given practices.) Such evolutionary thinking has the whole world up side down and God’s righteous Ways practically dismissed as being out of touch.

God’s new covenant with His called out people, is slandered by unbelievers. The point? “until God reveals Himself, calls and gives His spirit, each person has a worldly condoning mind. The Israelites thought, practicing paganism must be okay, since God provides them with rain, raiment and food as to them. So it is, “unbelieving people want to decide for themselves, what is right, wrong, good and evil.”

(Jesus said; “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor’ and ‘hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemy and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be like your Father in heaven, since He causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Even the tax collectors do the same, don’t they? And if you only greet your brothers, what more do you do? Even the Gentiles do the same, don’t they? So then, be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Matt 5:43-48)

Jesus’ good news “gospel” has the same foundational truths, He gave the Israelites through Moses. (Be careful not to be ensnared like they “the unbelievers” are; do not pursue their gods and say, “How do these nations “neighbors” serve their gods? I will do the same.” You must not worship the Lord your God the way they worship! For everything that is abhorrent to the Lord your God, everything He hates, they have done when worshiping their gods.” Deuteronomy 12:)

This world’s religious people with their many beliefs don’t grasp the fact that God is allowing Satan to be their god, “likely until Jesus returns and binds him.” It has all been prophesied. (The same instinctive inherited nature that led the Israelites to explore the gentile way, still pulls people to be condoning of all religions.) When Jesus’ message isn’t accurately taught, “even some called out people become vulnerable to deceptions.” Naïve people are susceptible to deception, by false miracles and imaginary gods. Paul experienced it, even among people he had taught accurately.

(Galatians 1:6-10; “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the One “God” who called you by the grace of Christ and are “now” following a different gospel – not that there really is another gospel, but there are some who are disturbing you and wanting to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed! As we have said before, and now I say again, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be accursed! Am I now trying to gain the approval of people, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ!”)

The Pharisees and Sadducees in the apostolic era, were overly zealous in their looking to the law, “for their saving.” At the same time, many gentiles were led to seek the God of Abraham. Cornelius is a good example. (see Acts 10:)

As we look at Paul’s letters; “find if you can” any condoning of gentile paganism. Remember too, the apostles’ letters are to, “a spirit begotten people, a people fathered by God, a people born from above.” Consider also, “At no time did Jesus’ apostles include the holy spirit in their worshipful salutations.”

Ephesians.

(Ephesians 1:1-10; “From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, to the Saints [in Ephesus], the faithful in Christ Jesus. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! (The identity of a Saint is; “one faithful to Jesus.”) “Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ.” (Paul acknowledges, God the Father does the calling; we are blessed in the heavenly realms in Christ.) For He “God the Fatherchose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in His sight in love. (5) He did this by predestining us to adoption as His sons “people” through Jesus Christ, according to the pleasure of His will – to the praise of the glory of His grace that He has freely bestowed on us in His dearly loved Son “Jesus.” (7) In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, “sin” according to the riches of His grace that He lavished on us in all wisdom and insight. (9) He did this when He revealed to us the secret of His will, according to His good pleasure that He set forth in Christ, toward the administration of the fullness of the times, to head up all things in Christ – the things in heaven and the things on earth.”)

As Israel was called and delivered because of promises to Abraham, so we are called out as, “followers of Jesus and saved by predestinated promise.” Thus, we too are heirs with Abraham. We worship God the Father and God the Son; who knew us individually before the foundation of the world! He called, He revealed the secret of His will. Revelation isn’t something we get from book learning. Revelation is gifted insight. God reveals according to His good pleasure.
(Eph 1:11-12; “In Christ we too “with Jesus” have been claimed as God’s own possession, since we were predestined according to the one purpose of Him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of His will so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, would be to the praise of His glory.”)

We in this last age have become the first according to God’s will. As God’s possession, our purpose is to be, “at one” with Him. Thus we obey from the heart, out of love toward God and not interested in following after those who do not understand. We love them and we as they, are in the world. The difference? “we are in the world but not of the world, they are of the world.” Their god is that which they serve and practice. Jesus’ good news is veiled to them. Paul explains to we Saints.

(2 Cor 4:1-6; “Therefore, since we “apostles” have this ministry, just as God has shown us mercy, we do not become discouraged. But we have rejected shameful hidden deeds, not behaving with deceptiveness or distorting the word of God, but by open proclamation of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience before God. (3) But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing, among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe so they would not see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the one who shined in our hearts, to give us the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ.”)

Be thankful that our Creator is a God of love, giving rain and other blessings to all. Remember Joel’s second chapter? God’s spirit is yet to be given to all kinds of people. Jesus’ revelations to John will ultimately be completed.

(Revelations 21:6-8; “He also said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the one who is thirsty I will give water “My spirit” free of charge from the spring of the water of life, “spirit of eternal life.” The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son. But to the cowards, unbelievers, detestable persons, murderers, the sexually immoral, and those who practice magic spells, idol worshipers, and all those who lie, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. That is the second death.”)

The term, “second death” is used four times in Revelations, check each. May we each be led to question the things we practice.

God’s 6th month, Elul 25, 5776 - 9/28/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

This coming Monday at sunset begins the day of Trumpets, “Rosh Hashanah” Judaism also considers it the first day of their year. They don’t have a good reason for the change. Trumpets foreshadows the return of Jesus, the first resurrection and Satan being bound. That day is preplanned, but Jesus said time would be cut short for the Elect’s sake. We followers of Jesus are looking forward to that day of Trumpets.

Though an intellectual, speaking several languages with highly accredited credentials, Paul consider these assets nothing in relationship to his knowing Jesus. He only boasted of his credentials to offset the unbelievers that were doing so.

(Philippians 3:10-11; “My aim is to know Jesus, to experience the power of His resurrection, to share in His sufferings, and to be like Him in His death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.”) Nothing in life parallels knowing Jesus intimately.

(Phil 3:12; “Not that I have already attained this – that is, I have not already been perfected – but I strive to lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus also laid hold of me.”)

We aren’t perfected while in our temporary temple. Review Hebrews 12:19-29, to see where Paul and all deceased followers of Jesus are being perfected at now.

(Phil 3:13-16; “Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have attained this. Instead I am single-minded: Forgetting the things that are behind and reaching out for the things that are ahead, with this goal in mind, I strive toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Therefore let those of us who are “perfect” “being perfected” embrace this point of view. If you think otherwise, God will reveal to you the error of your ways. Nevertheless, let us live up to the standard that we have already attained.”)

We followers of Jesus are in the process of attaining God’s standards for our way of life. Remember, In verse 12, Paul said, “not that I have already attained this - that is, I have not already been perfected; so obviously Paul does not mean that he was perfect.

(Phil 3:17-21; “Be imitators of me, brothers and sisters, and watch carefully those who are living this way, just as you have us “we apostles” as an example. For many live, about whom I have often told you, and now, with tears, I tell you that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is the belly, they exult in their shame, and they think about earthly things. (20) But our citizenship is in heaven – and we also await a savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform these humble bodies of ours into the likeness of His glorious body by means of that power by which He is able to subject all things to Himself.) Most theologians’ god is their belly, they desire to lord over people and live presumptive lives.

(Phil 4:1-7; “So then, my brothers and sisters, dear friends whom I long to see, my joy and crown, stand in the Lord in this way, my dear friends! (2) I appeal to Euodia and to Syntyche to agree in the Lord. Yes, I say also to you true companions, help them. They have struggled together in the gospel ministry along with me and Clement and my other coworkers, whose names are in the book of life. (Paul believes these individuals were foreknown to God and saved.) (4) Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice! Let everyone see your gentleness. The Lord is near! Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”) We need to live with the expectation that the day of our Lord’s coming is near and that we do not have the promise of a tomorrow in these physical bodies.

(Phil 4:8-9; “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things. And what you learned and received and heard and saw in me, do these things. And the God of peace will be with you.”) Do these things and “practice The Way of righteous living.” The Way cannot include a mix of paganism, Judaism and Christ! One of Satan’s many tools is to keep us busy with selfish concerns, entertainment and the like, so we forget the benefit of meditation and why God’s Sabbaths.

(Phil 4:10-14; “I have great joy in the Lord because now at last you have again expressed your concern for me. (Now I know you were concerned before but had no opportunity to do anything.) I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content in any circumstance. I have experienced times of need and times of abundance. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of contentment, whether I go satisfied or hungry, have plenty or nothing. I am able to do all things through the One “Jesus” who strengthens me. Nevertheless, you did well to share with me in my trouble.”)

Remember Paul’s commission? (Acts 9:15-16;“But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go, because this man is My chosen instrument to carry My name before Gentiles and kings and the people of Israel. For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of My name.”) Paul’s imprisonment gave him opportunity to share Jesus with kings.

(Phil 4:15-20; “And as you Philippians know, at the beginning of my gospel ministry, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in this matter of giving and receiving except you alone. For even in Thessalonica on more than one occasion you sent something for my need. I do not say this because I am seeking a gift. Rather, I seek the credit that abounds to your account. For I have received everything, and I have plenty. I have all I need because I received from Epaphroditus what you sent – a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, very pleasing to God. And my God will supply your every need according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. May glory be given to God our Father forever and ever. Amen.”) When we worship the God of Abraham, when He is revealed to us individually, we can each say with Paul; “my God will supply my every need according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”

(Phil 4:21-23; “Give greetings to all the Saints in Christ Jesus. The brothers with me here send greetings. All the Saints greet you, especially those who belong to Caesar’s household. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.”) The biblical definition of a Saint is, “a follower of Jesus.” Paul’s letter to the Colossians and this one to the Philippians must have been written in close proximity. The same co-workers are mentioned. Obviously Paul had a good relationship with Caesar’s servants.

Many theologians subscribe to what’s called, “Pauline theory.” Members of an order of Roman Catholic missionary priests, “the Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle” founded in New York in 1858. Many protestants also subscribe to the false notion that Paul’s teachings vary from Jesus’, and more liberal. “even changing the Sabbath.” Only through twisting Paul’s teaching in many areas are they able to come to such conclusions.

Regarding Paul’s teaching on the first day of the week, let’s look at it. Paul taught on each day of the week. Look at Acts 20: and at what led to this particular first day theory. Paul and a number of his co-workers left Macedonia and spent months teaching as they traveled. The Jews were plotting Paul’s murder so he altered his plan to go to Syria and returned through Macedonia. Paul and co-workers sailed away from Philippi after the days of Unleavened Bread, and within five days came to the others in Troas, where they stayed for seven days. This church was sending gifts to Jerusalem and Paul wanted to be in Jerusalem by Pentecost. (Acts 20:16) To assume that Paul waited until the first day of the week to teach is ludicrous. Dr. Luke wrote about this event.

(Acts 20:7; “On the first day of the week, “beginning at sunset after the seventh day” when we met to break bread, Paul began to speak to the people, and because he intended to leave the next day, he extended his message until midnight.”) To be consistent, these twisters of scripture should assume we should teach until midnight on the first day of the week! It’s obvious, the people were anxious to be taught and Paul told those witnessing his proclaiming the kingdom, that they would not see him again.

(Acts 20:28-32; “Watch out for yourselves and for all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God that He obtained with the blood of His own Son. I know that after I am gone fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Even from among your own group men will arise, teaching perversions of the truth to draw the disciples away after them. Therefore be alert, remembering that night and day for three years I did not stop warning each one of you with tears. And now I entrust you to God and to the message of his grace.”) Fleshly minded theologians have fulfilled Paul’s prophecy.

Heavenly Father: Thank You for the awesomeness of revelation. Thank You for knowing our thoughts, intents, our physical and spiritual needs. Keep us on Your Potters wheel and grow us, we ask in Jesus’ holy name. AMEN.

In Moses’ day the Egyptians thought themselves superior to others and particularly the Hebrews. Thinking it an abomination to eat or associate. (see Genesis 43: - 46:) The word, “abomination” can mean: detestable, horrible, intense disapproval, shameful or intense dislike. Consider the harm people do to themselves when they look to manufactured gods, that are abominations to our Creator.

Because of God’s promise to Abraham, He set Jacob’s descendents aside, making them His promised people, “sanctified them” separated them from those practicing detestable things. God called Moses and made him a deliverer to Israel. Moses gave them righteous standards of conduct and the Messiah. “Jesus’” coming was prophesied through Moses.

(Deut 18:15-19; “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you – from your fellow Israelites; you must listen to Him. This accords with what happened at Horeb in the day of the assembly. You asked the Lord your God: “Please do not make us hear the voice of the Lord our God any more or see this great fire any more lest we die.” The Lord then said to me, “What they have said is good. I will raise up a prophet like you for them from among their fellow Israelites. I will put My words in His mouth and He will speak to them whatever I command. I will personally hold responsible anyone who then pays no attention to the words that prophet speaks in My name.”) Jesus always spoke in the name of His Father.

(John 12:44-50; “But Jesus shouted out, “The one who believes IN Me does not believe IN Me, but in the One who sent Me and the one who sees Me sees the One who sent Me. I have come as a light into the world, so that everyone who believes IN Me should not remain in darkness. If anyone hears, “understands” My words and does not obey them, I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world. The one who rejects Me and does not accept My words has a judge; the word I have spoken will judge him at the last day. For I have not spoken from My own authority, but the Father Himself who sent Me has commanded Me what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His commandment is eternal life. Thus the things I say, I say just as the Father has told Me.”)

God’s promises, calling and sanctification was never something that could be earned by works of any kind. It was revealed to the Israelites through Moses, as it’s revealed to Christians through Jesus and His apostles.

(Deut 9:4; “Do not think to yourself after the Lord your God has driven them out before you, “Because of my own righteousness the Lord has brought me here to possess this land.” It is because of the wickedness of these nations that the Lord is driving them out ahead of you.)

Likewise, followers of Jesus are called to that understanding. God’s promised the Israelites blessings, protection and the lands of the unbelieving people groups, making a covenant of obedience with them at Hereb. Commanding life practices, reflecting wholesome morals and His righteousness. Instructibg that some things be considered detestable to His people. God gave them holy times that looked forward to a future rest, spirituality and times demonstrating their rejection of imaginary gods.

(Deuteronomy 12:29-31; “When the Lord your God eliminates the nations from the place where you are headed and you dispossess them, you will settle down in their land. After they have been destroyed from your presence, be careful not to be ensnared like they are; do not pursue their gods and say, “How do these nations serve their gods? I will do the same.” You must not worship the Lord your God the way they worship! For everything that is abhorrent to the Lord your God, everything He hates, they have done when worshiping their gods. They even burn up their sons and daughters before their gods!”) Unbelieving people believed sacrificing their children was the ultimate gift to their god. Thinking they were born to live forever someplace.

God’s 6th month, Elul 24, 5776 - 9/27/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

Dear Believers IN, “followers of Jesus” everywhere and particularly you subscribers.

About 21 years ago it became abundantly clear that organized religion were attempting to make me and all parishioners merchandise. I had been led to believe IN the whole word of God, some time back and began to understand that I couldn’t personally make anyone understand, “believing IN opposed to believing that.” I found that almost all organized religions’ parishioners were, “believers that” so I was compelled by God’s gifted spirit in me, to begin encouraging other like minded, Believers IN by teaching on the internet. God has grown that little planted seed, into thousands of like minded people,

subscribing to this, “believing IN” teaching.”

Our purpose from the start has been to encourage, believers IN to stay the course and prayerfully get involved in spreading Jesus’ good news. Believers IN are the Elect, Jesus had in mind when He said, “all would be deceived, if possible even the Elect.” AND “For the Elect’s sake time would be cut short.”

Last year about this time, I was wondering if God would allow me to complete our study through Genesis. Aneurisms were discovered on my aorta, that were medically viewed as a time bomb. Unless God miraculously healed, doctors said major surgery was a must. Thanks be to our Creator, He has kept me here to encourage a few.

Now I want to continue encouraging all of you to, not only stay the course, but to share this good news. Pray about starting a home study group with family and if possible, other like minded folks.

We plan to offer a book soon, that will be an aid. I will include my personal mini bible index. With thought of love for each of you in my mind: Sincerely, James.

Spiritual Circumcision.

(Physical circumcision always looked forward to people shedding the fleshly outlook and worshiping God in spirit and truth.)

Jesus and each apostle warned about deceivers using Jesus’ name, but presenting their own manufactured view. Paul called such evil workers. “dogs.” (See Phil 3:1). Explaining too, that followers of Jesus are the circumcision, who worship in spirit, having the mind not to be overly trusting of human credentials.

True to the inherited instinctive nature, folks infiltrating God’s churches, boasting of their credentials. Few understood the significance of “circumcision of the heart - mind” and the many viewed God’s churches only as religious social clubs. Thus they condone practices that are abominations to our Creator. Speaking of credentials, Paul didn’t think highly of his.

(Phil 3:7-9; “But these assets, “called credentials” I have liabilities compared to the far greater value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things – indeed, I regard them as dung! – that I may gain Christ, and be found in Him, not because I have my own righteousness derived from the law, but because I have the righteousness that comes by way of Christ’s faithfulness – a righteousness from God that is in fact based on Christ’s faithfulness.”)

Christ’s faithfulness is gifted, or imputed to Believers IN’S minds, making us, “Christ Like.“ Denominationalist are prideful about, “their own faith” their belief foundation is in their own fleshly intellect. (Believing IN Christ is to put on “be clothed with” Christ.) We must rely on Jesus’ gifted faith in us. Schooling and personal inherited intellect amounts to nothing, “if God isn’t reveal to us individually.” Though much had been revealed, Paul didn’t loose sight of his need to grow.

(Phil 3:10; “My aim is to know Him, to experience the power of His resurrection, to share in His sufferings, and to be like Him in His death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.”) Remember Paul’s words in the first chapter?

(Phil 1:21-24;“For to me, living is Christ and dying is gain. Now if I am to go on living in the body, this will mean productive work for me, yet I don’t know which I prefer: I feel torn between the two, because I have a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far, but it is more vital for your sake that I remain in the body.”)

See the resurrection chapter, “1 Corinthians 15:” for balanced understanding.

As a begotten Christian; “one, born from above” “one fathered by God” Paul was gifted with immortality, thus Paul was an heir with Abraham, gifted with eternal life. Paul will be in the First Resurrection.

Questions in many biblical student’s minds are; “Where is Paul now and where are all who have died in Christ? At what point in Paul’s life did he become, an heir with Abraham? When did Paul inherit eternal life? Paul was spiritually, “born from above” at conversion. Paul is now with Jesus and being perfected. He was known before the foundation of the world.

People aren’t born to live forever someplace, as Satan said to Eve and as those from the synagogues of Satan teach. This truth was revealed to Paul and is revealed to whom God chooses.

Comparing followers of Jesus coming before God in prayer, to when Moses and the Israelites came before Him at Mount Sinai, “the Hebrews writer -likely Paul- teaches.”

(Hebrews 12:18-29; “For you “Christians” have not come to something that can be touched, to a burning fire and darkness and gloom and a whirlwind and the blast of a trumpet and a voice uttering words such that those who heard, “at Mount Sinai” begged to hear no more. For they could not bear what was commanded: “If even an animal touches the mountain, it must be stoned.” In fact, the scene was so terrifying that Moses said, “I shudder with fear.”

(22-24; “But you “Christians” have come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the assembly and congregation of the firstborn, who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous, who have been made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks of something better than Abel’s does.”

(25-29; “Take care not to refuse the One “Jesus” who is speaking! For if they did not escape when they refused the One who warned them on earth, how much less shall we, if we reject the One who warns from heaven? Then His “Jesus’” voice shook the earth, but now He has promised, “I will once more shake not only the earth but heaven too.” Now this phrase “once more” indicates the removal of what is shaken, that is, of created things, so that what is unshaken may remain. So since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks, and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe. For our God is indeed a devouring fire.”)

We need not debate, but believe IN the God of Abraham. We need not to be overly concerned about what happens at the point of death. We do need to be concerned about practicing God’s Way, while we live in our temporary bodies. The same Jesus that inspired this Hebrews text, led the Israelites from sin, “Egypt” and He leads today’s Christians from worldly perverted practices to His Way. He inspired the scriptural teaching about Himself.

(Matt 26:31-32; “Then Jesus said to them, “This night you will all fall away because of Me, for it is written: ‘I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ But after I am raised, I will go ahead of you into Galilee.”) Paul wrote it too.

Romans 11:5-10; “So in the same way at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. And if it is by grace, it is no longer by works, otherwise grace would no longer be grace. What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was diligently seeking, but the Elect obtained it. The rest were hardened, as it is written, “God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, to this very day.” And David says, “Let their table become a snare and trap a stumbling block and a retribution for them; let their eyes be darkened so that they may not see, and make their backs bend continually.”

This earth is filled with idolatrous people. A people that do not believe IN God as Creator. We cannot worship God in spirit and truth without believing IN Him as Creator. He is, as He manifest Himself to be in the holy scriptures. Few in this age worship this God of Abraham, “Jesus the Christ.” The Son of God, is our Creator, Lord, Shepherd and coming King. His true identity is revealed at John 1:1-5, Colossians 1:15-20 and Hebrews 1:. Believers IN, obey Him because we are gifted with a love of Him. It’s obedience from the gifted love of Him and is required, “less we be idolaters.”

When God is revealed and we are, “born from above” we know Him intimately as our Father and a family relationship is established. Things holy to the Father are holy to His children. The seventh day has always been holy to our Creator and His believing IN children.

(Genesis 2:1-3; “The heavens and the earth were completed with everything that was in them. By the seventh day God finished the work that He had been doing, and He ceased on the seventh day all the work that He had been doing. God blessed the seventh day and made it holy “sanctified it” because on it “the seventh day” He ceased all the work that He had been doing in creation.”)

The verb “holy” can be translated “sanctify” meaning, “set apart.” The Hebrew word, (qiddesh) means “to make something holy; to set something apart; to distinguish it.” On the literal level the phrase means essentially that God made this day different. In the context of the Law, it means that the day belonged to God, for rest from ordinary labor, for worship, and spiritual service. The other six are for believing people’s ordinary use.

When the seventh day isn’t recognized as belonging to God, people go off on tangents, worship the creation rather than the Creator and attempt to make God fit their intellectual view. (God foreknew the inclinations of His created people and allows Satan’s to tempt us purposely, demonstrating our need for a nature change built on Jesus’ faith. The need to be, “reborn” in order to overcome through Jesus‘ faith in us.) Our Lord’s brother, “James” was inspired to write.

(James 4:5;“Or do you think the scripture means nothing when it says, “The spirit that God caused to live within us has an envious yearning”?) This envious yearning in us is inherited from Adam’s disobedience. (Now God has provides His grace, “a new nature” through the gospel message, that counteracts our inherited from Adam, instinctive fleshly nature.) James continued.

(James 4:6-8; “But God gives greater grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.” So submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”) Jesus revealed Himself, called and commissioned His apostle Paul. Paul having been, “born from above” knew Jesus intimately and could share his goal in Christ with us.

Paul’s Letters to God’s churches, supporting text & commentary, chapter 17

Monday, September 26th, 2016

God’s 6th month, Elul 23, 5776 - 9/26/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

Remember Jesus promised His apostles, they would do greater miracles than He, because He was going to His Father. (See John 14:12). Jesus said, “A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they obeyed My word, they will obey yours too. (See John 15:20). As Jesus exemplified God the Father, Jesus’ apostles exemplified Jesus. As The Father is revealed through Jesus, Jesus reveals Himself through His apostles.

(Phil 2:4-11; “Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well. You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had, who though He existed in the form of God did not regard equality with God “the Father” as something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking on the form of a slave, by looking like other men, and by sharing in human nature. He humbled Himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death – even death on a cross! As a result God exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow – in heaven and on earth and under the earth – and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.”)

Praise be to God, the day is coming when every person will know that Jesus is Lord. We humans, are made in the image of God and made to need God, “as a child needs his human parent.” Followers of Jesus are spirit led to put on Jesus the Christ, think as He did and does. Our attitude toward other Believers IN grows to be like Jesus’ love for us. Followers of Jesus have no desire to be human deities, “we don’t care to decide for ourselves what’s right, wrong, good and evil, nor invent our own religion. Our desire is to empty ourselves, “yield ourselves as slaves to Jesus.” Christians are gifted to believe IN the Son of God, who is now ascended to His Father, intermediates on our behalf and through Jesus our inherited from Adam human nature is changed.

As the Son of God, Jesus shared in human nature, experiencing temptation and overcame to the end. Remember how Jesus yielded to, and prayed to His Father? When we Believers IN are, “born from above” we too, are gifted with overcoming powers as was Jesus. Paul explained to the Hebrews.

(Heb 4:15; “For we do not have a high priest incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin.”) Jesus entered that Sabbath rest that we Believer IN are also called to. (Heb 4:1-3; “Therefore we must be wary “cautious” that, while the promise of entering His rest remains open, none of you may seem to have come short of it. For we had good news proclaimed to us just as they “the Israelites” did. But the message they heard did them no good, since they did not join in with those who heard it in faith. For we who have believed enter that “Sabbath” rest, as He has said, “As I swore in my anger, They will never enter My rest!’ For forty years I was continually disgusted with that generation, and I said, ‘These people desire to go astray; they do not obey My commands.’ So I made a vow in My anger, ‘They will never enter into the resting place I had set aside for them.’ ?(quote from Psalms 95:10-11) And yet God’s works were accomplished from the foundation of the world.”)

The Alpha and Omega, “Jesus” planned things from the foundation of His creation to the times beyond, New Jerusalem’s coming down.

(Heb 4:4-10; “For God has spoken somewhere about the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works,” but to repeat the text cited earlier: “They will never enter My rest!” Therefore it remains for some to enter it, yet those to whom it was previously proclaimed did not enter because of disobedience. So God again ordains a certain day, “Today,” speaking through David after so long a time, as in the words quoted before, “O, that today you would listen as He speaks! Do not harden your hearts.” For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken afterward about another day.(9) “Consequently a Sabbath rest remains for the people of God. For the one who enters God’s rest has also rested from his works, just as God did from His own works.”)

The Seventh Day foreshadows our resting from doing works of the flesh and Jesus’ millennial rule on earth and does not change the fact that the seventh day is holy to God.

(Heb 4:11-13; “Thus we must make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by following the same pattern of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart. And no creature is hidden from God, but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must render an account.”) Overcoming our fleshly nature and Satan’s demonic doctrines, “to the end” is God’s Way for His people.

(Philippians 2:12-13; “So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, continue working out your salvation with awe and reverence, for the One bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort – for the sake of His good pleasure – is God.”)

Don’t be boastful when these truth are understood, God gives the desire! Being saved is individually gifted. Having a changed nature is to be, “born from above.” Sovereign individuals made in God’s image spiritually, understand that He brought us forth and He gave us the desire for the sake of His good pleasure. Thus we work at pleasing Him with awe and reverence.

(Phil 2:14-18; “Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without blemish though you live in a crooked and perverse society, in which you shine as lights in the world by holding on to the Word of Life so that on the day of Christ, I will have a reason to boast that I did not run in vain nor labor in vain. But even if I “Paul” am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice together with all of you. And in the same way you also should be glad and rejoice together with me.”)

In Paul’s day and ours, Christians are living in perverse societies. Worse today? Likely! But, as for as our being tempted, “Jesus has lived it.” Jesus did say, “these latter days would be likened to Sodom and Gomorra.” Overcome to the end is what we are called to do.

We Christians were once as are unbelieving governments, politicians, educators and religions. In that they are driven by that instinctive nature inherited from Adam and Satan‘s deceptions. That nature is self serving, self preservation, desiring self subscribed beliefs, ways and views. From that inherited nature, people of particular religions, race or skin color, develop biases regarding politics, legal issues etc. Satan blinds, encourages division and the worshiping of imaginary gods as each see fit. True to James’ defining words about our inherited nature. (Review James 4:1-3) When people yield to their own intellect, bias attitudes develop, issues of no consequence take hold and become friends to the demonic, thus hostility toward God’s Way. Such is spiritual adultery. Our Lord’s brother, “James” explains.

(James 4:4-10; ‘Spiritual’ Adulterers, do you not know that friendship with the world means hostility toward God? So whoever decides to be the world’s friend makes himself God’s enemy. “Or do you think the scripture means nothing when it says, “The spirit that God caused to live within us has an envious yearning”? But God gives greater grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.” So submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and make your hearts pure, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn, and weep. Turn your laughter into mourning and your joy into despair. Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will exalt you.”) (Remember Jesus’ words? “we can’t love God and money, we either hate the one or love the other?) This is Paul’s theme in his letters also.

(Philippians 2:19-21; “Now I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon, so that I too may be encouraged by hearing news about you. For there is no one here like him who will readily demonstrate his deep concern for you. Others are busy with their own concerns, not those of Jesus Christ.”) Without spiritual guidance people fall in the clutch of self preservation above all else.

(Phil 2:22-28; “But you know his “Timothy’s” qualifications, that like a son working with his father, he served with me in advancing the gospel. So I hope to send him as soon as I know more about my situation, though I am confident in the Lord that I too will be coming to see you soon. But for now I have considered it necessary to send Epaphroditus to you. For he is my brother, coworker and fellow soldier, and your messenger and minister to me in my need. Indeed, he greatly missed all of you and was distressed because you heard that he had been ill. In fact he became so ill that he nearly died. But God showed mercy to him – and not to him only, but also to me – so that I would not have grief on top of grief. Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you can rejoice and I can be free from anxiety. So welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor people like him, since it was because of the work of Christ that he almost died. He risked his life so that he could make up for your inability to serve me.”)

Compare these apostolic time to our own. Likely, not much of the New Testament was in circulation and certainly not Jesus’ Revelations to John. God’s scattered congregations depended on Jesus’ apostles and those sent. The apostles primary concerns were that Christians stay true to God’s Way. It is obvious, the strong always enjoyed lording over the naive and false teachers infiltrated God’s churches.

Jesus revealed and John wrote; “To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: “This is the solemn pronouncement of the One who is the first and the last, the one who was dead, but came to life: ‘I know the distress you are suffering and your poverty (but you are rich). I also know the slander against you by those who call themselves Jews “Christian” and really are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.” Rev 2:8-9) Jesus used similar words to His church at Philadelphia. (see Rev 3:9) (Jesus said, “Watch out that you are not misled. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He “Christ” and, ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them!” Luke 21:8) Likewise Paul warned the Philippians.

(Philippians 3:1-6; (““Finally, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the Lord! To write this again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you. Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of those who mutilate the flesh! For we “Christiansare the circumcision, the ones who worship by the Spirit of God, exult in Christ Jesus, and do not rely on human credentials – though mine too “credentials” are significant. If someone thinks he has good reasons to put confidence in human credentials, I have more: I was circumcised on the eighth day, from the people of Israel and the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews. I lived according to the law as a Pharisee. In my zeal for God, I persecuted the church. According to the righteousness stipulated in the law I was blameless.””)

True to the inherited instinctive nature in people; folks were infiltrating the churches and boasting of their credentials. Few understood the significance of “circumcision of the heart - mind.”

Paul’s Letters to God’s churches, supporting text & commentary, chapter 16

Sunday, September 25th, 2016

God’s 6th month, Elul 22, 5776 - 9/25/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

Paul is a great example of one supernaturally moved from darkness to “the Light.” As we study Paul’s letters to God’ churches, we find him repeating the same principle in various verbiage. Likewise, we repeat various text, from Jesus, His prophets, our Lord’s brothers James, Jude and other apostles, that support the subjects. Review is good, whether we are blessed with near perfect memory or somewhat forgetful. As with Colossians, Philippians was written during Paul’s time of confinement, or maybe better said, “house arrest.” Each authority did allow Paul visitors and coworker supports.

(Phil 1:1-2; “From Paul and Timothy, slaves of Christ Jesus, to all the Saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, with the overseers and deacons. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!”) With Paul’s intimate relationship with Jesus and God the Father was knowledge of His Ways, as an apostle, he had permission to write, “from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Jesus inspired Paul’s letters.

(Phil 1:3-6; “I thank my God every time I remember you. I always pray with joy in my every prayer for all of you because of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now. For I am sure of this very thing, that the One who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”) That is until the day of Jesus’ return or perhaps until Jesus is revealed intimately.

Each believers should be about the business of support as was, God’s church at Philippi, who participated in the spread of Jesus’ good news. A responsibility of all who are gifted with this understanding and gifted outgoing Godly love. We like Paul, only had instinctive love in his heart until Jesus was revealed to our minds.
(Phil 1:7-11; “For it is right for me to think this about all of you, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of THE gospel all of you became partners in God’s grace together with me. For God is my witness that I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus. And I pray this, that your love may abound even more and more in knowledge and every kind of insight so that you can decide what is best, and thus be sincere and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.”)

We too can be partners with Paul. His letters are still going out. Our goal is, “to encourage the called to overcome to the end, thus, be blameless “for the day of Christ.”

(Phil 1:12-14; “I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that my situation has actually turned out to advance the gospel. The whole imperial guard and everyone else knows that I am in prison for the sake of Christ, and most of the brothers and sisters, having confidence in the Lord because of my imprisonment, now more than ever dare to speak the word fearlessly.”)

God always works things out for good, for those He is calling. True of the inherited nature in people; many in Paul’s day began teaching a Jesus of their own understanding. From their own fleshly instinctive love nature. This too is what Paul was doing as a Pharisee, before his conversion and what each self called teacher does.

(Phil 1:15-18; “Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from goodwill. The latter do so from love because they know that I am placed here for the defense of the gospel. The former proclaim Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, because they think they can cause trouble for me in my imprisonment. What is the result? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is being proclaimed, and in this I rejoice. Yes I will continue to rejoice.”)

Paul is not overly critical of those teaching from selfish ambition. Paul’s thoughts were, “if a Jesus of one’s imagination is being proclaimed, some may be led to investigate whether or not they speak truth. (see 1 Thess 5:21) Those teaching Christ from goodwill were Paul’s supporters. As today, some teach for the sake of popularity and monetary gain. The problem in each age is that many find their comfort zone in denominations that teach a mix of Judaism and paganism, using Jesus’ name. Thus Jesus’ Words are fulfilled; (“”Jesus began to say to them, “Watch out that no one misleads you. Many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and they will mislead many.”” Mark 13:5-6)

(Phil 1:19-26; “for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. My confident hope is that I will in no way be ashamed but that with complete boldness, even now as always, Christ will be exalted in my body, whether I live or die. For to me, living is Christ and dying is gain. Now if I am to go on living in the body, this will mean productive work for me, yet I don’t know which I prefer: (23) I feel torn between the two, because I have a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far, but it is more vital for your sake that I remain in the body. And since I am sure of this, I know that I will remain and continue with all of you for the sake of your progress and joy in THE faith, so that what you can be proud of may increase because of me in Christ Jesus, when I come back to you.”)

Paul’s focus was on the betterment of the Philippians, you and I, without selfishness of any kind

Self preservation is a created characteristic in all living things. We people though, are created superior to all other living things, we are created in God’s image and likeness. We have the capacity for altruistic concern, beyond instinctive love. Animals can’t consider the lasting benefit of instinctive love for their own kind. “Survivor of the fittest” is other life’s inherited instinctive nature, a nature they have on will to overcome. Yes, some domesticated animals can be instinctively trained to protect people, property and other animals. But, they are limited to their God created instinct. People created in the image of God, individually gifted with various talents, learning and memory capabilities. People are gifted with lasting instinctive love of other people, family, organizations and can share creative teaching. People are created with the capacity to instinctively love, have lasting concern for other people and animals. People are created with the capacity to individually practice what seems right, make choices, seek God and practice the way He suggest. Or, follow what seems right to our inherited instinctive nature: which is idolatry.)

Our Creator tells us emphatically in His Word, that we are the clay and He the Potter, thus, when we choose practices from within our own instinctual intellectual reasoning it is Idolatry. Exactly what Satan coached Eve, then Adam and Cain to do! These put what seemed rational to themselves, ahead of God’s instruction. For our learning, the holy scriptures teach that our inherited animalistic nature nurtures lust, division, war and the desire to lord over others. Jesus’ half brother James, explains these human characteristics.

(James 4:1-3; “Where do the conflicts and where do the quarrels among you come from? Is it not from this, from your passions “inherited instinctive nature” that battle inside you? You desire and you do not have; you murder and envy and you cannot obtain; you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask; you ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, so you can spend it on your passions.”)

Some are blinded for a set time, however the called are gifted with the ability to analyze the result of our actions and look to God for right practices. The many don’t because, they prefer the praise of people, rather than the praise of our unseen Creator. As with Eve, Adam and Cain, the fleshly minded find it appealing to practice life according to passion, “the get way.” These passions include love of money, power, fleshly lust, comfort in one’s own religion, and the desire to lord over others, etc.

The only escape from instinctively doing what seems right, is to turn to our Creator. History demonstrates that without looking to God’s Way, majorities always evolve to and yields to their inherited animalistic behavior. That was the people’s state of being before the flood and where humanity is heading today. Even in countries where so many families have God’s holy scriptures in their homes; anti God teaching and beliefs are growing more rampant each day.

From within our inherited instinctive nature we don’t have the capacity for Godly love. Instinctive self preservation isn‘t Godly love! We are created to become, “holy like God.”

(1 Peter 1:16; “for it is written, “You shall be holy, because I am holy.” A quote from Lev 19:2) We are ultimately created to become at one with Jesus and God our Father. The called are gifted to live morally as God defines morality, judge ourselves in Jesus’ Light and be at one with Him. Jesus continues to teach God’s Ways through Paul, to His chosen people.

(Phil 1:27-30; “Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ so that – whether I come and see you or whether I remain absent – I should hear that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind, by contending side by side for the faith of the gospel, and by not being intimidated in any way by your opponents. This is a sign of their destruction, but of your salvation – a sign which is from God. For it has been granted to you not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for Him, since you are encountering the same conflict that you saw me face and now hear that I am facing.”)

Jesus’ Way is; “the life, the one true spirit and gifted outlook to cultivate.” No doubt, “His Way has many opponents.” Because Satan is the god of this world, thus, Believers IN have many divided opponents. Destruction is inevitable for Satan and his followers who don‘t repent.

(2 Cor 11:13-15;“For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will correspond to their actions.”) Our gifted belief IN Jesus and the opposition we encounter, “is a sign from God regarding our salvation!” To demonstrate belief in Christ, Christians practice His Way.

(Philippians 2:1-3; “Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort provided by love, any fellowship in the Spirit, any affection or mercy, complete my joy and be of the same mind, by having the same love, being united in spirit, and having one purpose. Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself.”)

These instructions are to followers of Jesus, to a converted to God’s Way people. A people called and led to turn from the inherited instinctive fleshly nature. A people, “Born from above.” A people gifted with humility, moved to treat others more important than themselves! (God’s uniting spirit binds such people as one in the like manner in which God is One.) NOW Paul teaches the benefit of being gifted with Godly love.

Paul’s Letters to God’s churches, supporting text & commentary, chapter 15

Friday, September 23rd, 2016

God’s 6th month, Elul 20, 5776 - 9/23/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

Paul had been explaining that the law was added because of transgressions, however faith is not opposed to the Law. The law is the guardian until the Descendant, “Jesus” to whom the promise had been made, is believed IN, “revealed to.” Once Jesus’ deity and love is revealed to our minds, “we love His law” thus are no longer under the result of, “penalty of” sin. Which is eternal death. Review the last study.

(Gal 3:22; “But the scripture imprisoned everything and everyone under sin so that the promise could be given – because of the faithfulness of Jesus Christ – to those who believe.”)

See the difference in the law, regarding those who believe IN and those who don’t? Believers IN are made at one with Jesus, so they desire obedience because of the oneness in love. People who aren’t Believers IN, remain under the penalty. All will be judged by Jesus’ word. To people gifted with the revelation of Jesus’ deity, “believers IN” the faithfulness of Jesus is imputed to their mind. His spirit is by promise to the called.

(Gal 3:18; “For if the inheritance is based on the law, it is no longer based on the promise, but God graciously gave it to Abraham through the promise.”) Thus the need to review, “If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:29) Promises to Abraham include immortality, heirs numbering beyond our ability to count and territory with indisputable boundaries.

(Rom 4:13-23; For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would inherit the world was not fulfilled through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith. For if they become heirs by the law, faith is empty and the promise is nullified. For the law brings wrath, because where there is no law there is no transgression either. For this reason it is by faith so that it may be by grace, with the result that the promise may be certain to all the descendants – not only to those who are under the law, but also to those who have the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all. (as it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations”.(see Gen 17:5)

Abraham is our father in the presence of God whom he believed – the God who makes the dead alive and summons the things that do not yet exist as though they already do. Against hope Abraham believed in hope with the result that he became the father of many nations according to the pronouncement, “so will your descendants be.” (19) Without being weak in faith, he considered his own body as dead (because he was about one hundred years old) and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver in unbelief about the promise of God but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God. He was fully convinced that what God promised He was also able to do. So indeed it was credited to Abraham as righteousness. (23) But the statement it was credited to him was not written only for Abraham’s sake, but also for OUR sake, to whom it will be credited, those who BELIEVE IN the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. Jesus was given over because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of our justification.”)

Paul understood that the promises to Abraham, included himself and each believing IN, “follower of Jesus.”

Heavenly Father: great and wonderful are all your Ways; thank You for Your creations and for making us in Your image. Thank You for Your calling each Saint in whom Your spirit dwells. Give us yielding overcoming minds that we may grow and worship You in spirit and truth is our prayer, in the name, “nature” of Jesus we pray. AMEN.

Jesus knew the whole world would be deceived before His return. The vast majority would be in servitude to Satan, unwittingly. Spiritually naïve people can’t see how they are used to serve Satan’s purpose. Satan’s demonic assumptions invade song lyrics, literature and religions, causing deceptive beliefs. (When people believe IN, only one demonic lie, God’s truth is camouflaged.) The most popular erroneous deception being the assumption, “that people are born to live forever someplace.” It’s Satan’s first camouflaging lie and every major religion teaches some form of it. (Study Genesis 3:)

The word, “love” is probably the most powerful word we use in every day language. Especially if we understand, “love’s meaning” in relation to how God loves. (There are two kinds of love; “inherited instinctive and Godly gifted.”) (A study of 1 Corinthians 13: gives us the full meaning of Godly love.) Our fleshly minds have a problem loving others as ourselves and judging righteously, “because our fleshly minds only knows instinctive love.” Instinctive love is self serving, caring for and protecting one’s own family, friend and the like. (Instinctive love in people is similar to that of a female animal instinctively protecting their young.) Jesus’ apostle Paul shares with Believers.

(Romans 8:5-11; “For those who live according to the flesh have their outlook shaped by the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit have their outlook shaped by the things of the Spirit. For the outlook of the flesh is death, but the outlook of the Spirit is life and peace, because the outlook of the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to the law of God, nor is it able to do so. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, “followers of Jesus” however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, this person does not belong to Him. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is your life because of, “Jesus’ gifted” righteousness. Moreover if the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, the One who raised Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies alive through His Spirit who lives in you.”)

Christians are gifted with Godly love for one’s self and others alike. Righteous Godly love is able to consider others needs as their own. Able to discern things not discernable before. The characteristic of instinctive love is self centered, self preservation of mine and my turf. Revenge is a natural characteristic, an eye for an eye without respect. Godly love includes considering others first, applying self judgment and self examination in Jesus’ light. God’s spirit within gifts people to see His truths.

Writing to God’s church at Corinth about observing the Passover celebration, Jesus’ apostle Paul cautioned the people to examine themselves before partaking of. (see 1 Corinthians 11:28-32; Paul went on to say; (“that is why many of you are weak, sick, and quite a few are dead. But if we examined ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned with the world.” 1 Cor 11:31-32)

(God is love. see John 4:16) Thus, God’s love toward His people, include judgment, discipline and righteousness. When we love God we endure suffering as discipline, knowing that God treats us as His children. (“For what son is there that a father does not discipline? But if you do not experience discipline, something all sons have shared in, then you are illegitimate and are not sons.) Besides, we have experienced discipline from our earthly fathers and we respected them; shall we not submit ourselves all the more to the Father of spirits and receive “eternal” life?” Hebrews 12:6-9)

In Jesus’ Revelations to John, regarding His church at Laodicea: Jesus said, “All those I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent!” Rev 2:19)

Love of His people includes discipline that gets our attention, when we don’t practice the things He reveals. Godly love carries over to how we love our children. (“The one who spares his rod hates his child, but the one who loves his child is diligent in disciplining him.” Proverbs 13:24) God’s love for His people include capital punishment when people aren’t willing to yield to His values. God’s loving way purges wickedness from a Godly nation. (see Deuteronomy 21:18-21.)

We have all seen instinctive love in action, but few recognize it for what it is. For example: governments by the people, “so called democracies” always evolve, applying instinctive love to it’s populations for self serving reasons. Resulting in, loss of self esteem, character diminishment, while politicians enrich themselves. Economic chaos finally erupts. Likewise most charitable institutions evolve to the practice of instinctive love. They soon become bureaucracies with CEO’S making big money, while a fraction of donations get to the people. (As groups, fleshly minded people naturally evolve to instinctive behavior, yielding to the self serving ways.) History of nations verify: (“it’s always been that when people attempt to rule themselves, they gradually evolve to the destructive, instinctive “get way.”) Fleshly people always yield to their instinctive inherited nature. The decline and fall of the Roman empire is a good example.

Instinctive love manifest its self in many ways. Our Creator God is ignored. Jesus said it; (“No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” Luke 16:13) So the fact is, “individuals either serves the true God of Abraham or they make something else their god; imaginary or otherwise.” Characteristically yielding to instinctive love, “people see things, their way.” Hurt me or my child, I get even. Instinctive love also manifest it’s self when folks put a similar or same value on animal life as people’s. When pastime pleasures revolves around entertainment and life style practices, that are abominations to our Creator. All these are signs of the times in which we live. (Lawlessness increases so much, that even instinctive love of many grow cold.)

Unbelievers scoff at us for attempting to shed light on this subject; but we must.

God demonstrated His love for His chosen people, “the Israelites” by giving them standards to live by and altruistic leaders. But true to the inherited instinctive love, “the inherited nature in them” the Israelites wanted a king like the pagan people around them. So, God told Samuel, “the people aren’t rejecting you, they are rejecting Me.” When individuals, groups or nations reject God’s Way, they are an idolatrous pagan people, and soon evolve to haters of what God loves.

(Matt 24:9-14; “Then they will hand you “Christians” over to be persecuted and will kill you. You will be hated by all the nations because of My name. Then many will be led into sin, and they will betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will appear and deceive many, and because lawlessness will increase so much, the love of many will grow cold. But the person who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end, “of this age” will come.”) The Christian way is difficult for many when surrounded by pagan societies. The question: who is gifted with the mind to examine themselves in Jesus’ Light and who is gifted with the desire to seek His Way? We can glean these truths from Paul’s letters to the churches.

Paul’s Letters to God’s churches, supporting text & commentary, chapter 14

Thursday, September 22nd, 2016

God’s 6th month, Elul 19, 5776 - 9/22/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

Our purpose is to help keep called out people encouraged. Some may need to find a Church of God assembly, that keeps His weekly and annual Sabbaths, for additional encouragement. You that have been studying with us for some time know that this world is totally deceived, “except for God’s called out Saints.” (Jesus said it, “For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, the Elect. Be careful! I have told you everything ahead of time.” Mark 13:22-23) Study Matthew 24:15-28 also.

God’s Elect are foreknown. He can reveal His foreknowledge to us, as He did to Isaiah, regarding king Cyrus, who would be born much later. Cyrus learned of this prophecy.

(Isaiah 45:1-11; “This is what the Lord says to His chosen one, to Cyrus, whose right hand I hold in order to subdue nations before him, and disarm kings, to open doors before him, so gates remain unclosed: “I will go before you. “Cyrus” and level mountains. Bronze doors I will shatter and iron bars I will hack through. I will give you hidden treasures, riches stashed away in secret places, so you may recognize that I am the Lord, the One who calls you by name, the God of Israel. For the sake of My servant Jacob, “Israel” My chosen one, I call you by name and give you a title of respect, even though you do not recognize Me.

(5-8) I am the Lord, I have no peer, there is no God but Me. I arm you for battle, even though you do not recognize Me. I do this so people will recognize from east to west that there is no God but Me; I am the Lord, I have no peer. I am the One who forms light

and creates darkness; the One who brings about peace and creates calamity. I am the Lord, who accomplishes all these things. O sky, rain down from above! Let the clouds send down showers of deliverance! Let the earth absorb it so salvation may grow, and deliverance may sprout up along with it. I, the Lord, create it..

(9-11) “One who argues with his creator is in grave danger, one who is like a mere shard among the other shards on the ground! The clay should not say to the potter, “What in the world are you doing? Your work lacks skill!” Danger awaits one who says to his father, “What in the world are you fathering?” and to his mother, “What in the world are you bringing forth?” This is what the Lord says, the Holy One of Israel, the One who formed him, concerning things to come. “How dare you question Me about My children! How dare you tell Me what to do with the work of My own hands!”) Believe God, He knows each of us.

Consider the terminology Jesus used when speaking to the Pharisees and Sadducees. How would Jesus address today’s schooled clergy? Other than disagreements regarding the resurrection and angels, the Pharisees and Sadducees did believe God was Creator. They looked to the fathers, “calling Abraham their father.” However, rather than looking to God in the spirit of love, they looked to the law in a worshipful fashion. Made their own rules regarding the Sabbath, were prideful about charitable giving and the like. (Jesus told the people; “whenever you do charitable giving, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in synagogues and on streets so that people will praise them.” Matt 6:2)

(Likewise Jesus said to the experts in the law, “You have nullified the Word of God on account of your tradition.” “Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said, ‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me, and they worship Me in vain, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.” Matt 15:6-9)

Jesus’ words to these Pharisees & Sadducees is mild, compared to the words He has for this age’s professing Christians leaders, who are worshiping and leading many to worship in vain.

(Matt 23:13-14; “But woe to you, experts in the law and you Pharisees, hypocrites! You keep locking people out of the kingdom of heaven! For you neither enter nor permit those trying to enter to go in.”)

Organized religions harms the populous, by replacing God’s Way with a mix of pagan and Judaism traditions, such as Easter and Christmas.

(Matt 23:34-36; “For this reason I am sending you prophets and wise men and experts in the law, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town, so that on you will come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. I tell you the truth, this generation will be held responsible for all these things!”) Consider Abel & how it is that he still speaks. Jesus’ followers will continue to be persecuted.

God’s gifted law covenant with Israel and His new gifted covenant with Believers IN, are both from, His loving plan to save the world. The old was a forerunner to the new. So let us repeat Peter’s revelation from the last study.

(“Concerning this salvation, the prophets who predicted the grace that would come to you searched and investigated carefully. They probed into what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when He “God” testified beforehand about the sufferings appointed for Christ and His “Christ’s” subsequent glory. They “the prophets” were shown that they were serving not themselves but you, in regard to the things now announced to you through those “we apostles” who proclaimed the gospel to you, by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven – things angels long to catch a glimpse of.” 1 Peter 1:10-12)

This good news mystery, “secret” “is spiritually imputed to the minds of called out Believers IN.” The old covenant prophets and angels desired this understanding, “regarding how it could be that people would be made AT ONE with God.” It is from this present gifted understanding about God’s imputation of His spirit in people that we are able to understand, love and have the desire to be obedient. It was to people with these gifted characteristics that each apostle wrote letters.

At the end of Paul’s Colossian letter he names his associates. Among them was Mark, the writer of the gospel account titled, “Mark” & Luke the writer of the gospel account titled, “Luke“ & “Acts of the Apostles.” Mark was a cousin to Barnabas, “Jesus’ apostle. Luke the physician, the writer of the gospel account titled, “Luke” Tychicus and Onesimus, being ones from the Colossian church. Onesimus was a runaway slave, from his master, “Philemon” when Paul met him. Now he is back with Paul and serving. Before, the time of this letter to the Colossians Paul had sent Onesimus back to Philemon with the following letter.

(Philemon 1:1-3; “From Paul a prisoner of Christ Jesus and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our dear friend and co laborer, to Apphia our sister, to Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the church that meets in your house. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!”)

Many women worked with Paul, spreading the good news. Churches in homes was not uncommon. Obviously Paul wanted his letter to Philemon to be seen by all those named above.

(Philemon 1:4-24; “I always thank my God as I remember you, “Philemon,” in my prayers, because I hear of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the Saints. I pray that the faith you share with us may deepen your understanding of every blessing that belongs to you in Christ. I have had great joy and encouragement, because of your love for the hearts of the Saints have been refreshed through you, brother “So, although I have quite a lot of confidence in Christ and could command you to do what is proper” I would rather appeal to you on the basis of love – I, Paul, an old man and even now a prisoner for the sake of Christ Jesus – I am appealing to you concerning my child, whose spiritual father I have become during my imprisonment, that is, “Onesimus” who was formerly useless to you, but is now useful to you and me.

I have sent him (who is my very heart) back to you. I wanted to keep him so that he could serve me in your place during my imprisonment for the sake of the gospel. However, without your consent I did not want to do anything, so that your good deed would not be out of compulsion, but from your own willingness. For perhaps it was for this reason that he was separated from you for a little while, so that you would have him back eternally, no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, as a dear brother. He is especially so to me, and even more so to you now, both humanly speaking and in the Lord.

Therefore if you regard me as a partner, accept him as you would me. (18) Now if he has defrauded you of anything or owes you anything, charge what he owes to me. I, Paul, have written this letter with my own hand: I will repay it. I could also mention that you owe me your very self. Yes, brother, let me have some benefit from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in Christ. Since I was confident that you would obey, I wrote to you, because I knew that you would do even more than what I am asking you to do. At the same time also, prepare a place for me to stay, for I hope that through your prayers I will be given back to you.

(23) Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you. Mark, Aristarchus, Demas and Luke, my co-laborers, greet you too. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.”)

We noted from the Colossians letter, that Onesimus was one of Paul’s coworkers and obviously, after Paul’s letter Philemon gave Onesimus his freedom. Philemon had likely been a Believer for a good while, likely had read or had heard of the principles in Paul’s letter to the Galatians and knew the love of Jesus.

When Jesus and His apostles speak of faith, they are speaking of believing IN. Which is to say, “the gifted revealed knowledge of God the Father and God the Son.” The words, “when faith came to you” has the meaning, “when God is revealed to you.” Philemon probably understood the spiritual content of Paul’s Galatians letter.

(Galatians 3:23-24; “Now before faith, “revealed knowledge of God’s spirit in us ” came, we were held in custody under the law, being kept as prisoners until the coming faith would be revealed. Thus the law had become our guardian until Christ, so that we could be declared righteous by faith.”)

Christians are declared righteous, NOT of our own doing or conjured up beliefs; “but by the imputation of God’s spirit.” “A changed nature.” “Born from above.” With these gifted characteristics imputed, “Christians aren’t under a guardian.”

(Gal 3:25-29; “But now that faith has come, “been gifted” we are no longer under a guardian. For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith. (God’s spirit within) For all of you who were baptized “immersed” into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female – for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. (29) And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.”)

Abraham was led by and yielded to God, he was a believer IN God and His promises. From this gifted belief, Abraham was willing to sacrifice Isaac.

(Gal 3:19-21; “Why then was the law given? It was added because of transgressions, until the arrival of the Descendant, “Jesus” to whom the promise had been made. It “the law” was administered through angels by “as” an intermediary. Now an intermediary is not for one party alone, but God is one. Is the law therefore opposed to the promises of God.? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that was able to give life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law.”)

Law cannot and it’s purpose was never to give eternal life. (This faith, this gifted Belief IN, is the gift of eternal life!) The law is good and revealed faith does not oppose the promises of God..

Paul’s Letters to God’s churches, supporting text & commentary, chapter 13

Wednesday, September 21st, 2016

God’s 6th month, Elul 18, 5776 - 9/21/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

The Christian Family.

People groups have varying ideas about God’s View about the function of family. Outgoing love is the Christ like principle, Jesus taught through Moses and His apostles. The human family should be representative of God’s kingdom family. That is, Husbands representing God the Father, wives representing Jesus and children the church. Jesus’ apostle Paul was inspired to teach this Christian balance.

(Colossians 3:18-21; “Wives, submit to your, “Christian” husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing in the Lord. (21) Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they will not become disheartened.”)

Husbands should be loving as God the Father loves Jesus’ church. Christian wives should be submissive in good conscious as Jesus is to His Father. Then, Children will be led to love by example and will not be provoked, if trained and disciplined as Jesus leads His church family. Jesus shared these same principles through Paul, as written to the Ephesians. These teachings mean nothing to unbelievers.

(Ephesians 5:20-21; “Always giving thanks to God the Father for each other in the name of “nature of” our Lord Jesus Christ, and submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.”) No human should be revered and no Christian will ask to be. We revere Jesus when He is revealed and love one another as He commanded. Remember, Paul is writing to people who were once pagan, but now converted to be Believers IN Jesus.

(Eph 5:22-33; “Christian” wives, submit to your, “Christian” husbands as to the Lord, because the husband is the head of the wife as also Christ is the head of the church – He Himself being the Savior of the body, “the church.” But as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her to sanctify her by cleansing her with the washing of the water by the Word, so that He may present the church to Himself as glorious – not having a stain or wrinkle, or any such blemish, but holy and blameless. (28) In the same way husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves Himself. For no one has ever hated his own body, but he feeds it and takes care of it, just as Christ also does the church, for we are members of His body. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”) (a quote from Genesis 2:24) “AT ONE” is key to our understanding of how Jesus wants the families to be and how each Christian must be in their relationship to Jesus.

(Eph 5:33; “This mystery is great – but I am actually speaking with reference to Christ and the church. Nevertheless, each one of you must also love his own wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.”) Division is squashed when people strive to be, “at one.” Jesus is, “AT ONE” with God the Father. The two are One in purpose. Jesus said, “I and My Father are one. (See John 10:30)

(Colossians 3:22-4:1; “Slaves, “employees” obey your earthly masters in every respect, not only when they are watching – like those who are strictly people-pleasers – but with a sincere heart, fearing the Lord. Whatever you are doing, work at it with enthusiasm, as to the Lord and not for people, because you know that you will receive your inheritance from the Lord as the reward. Serve the Lord Christ. For the one who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there are no exceptions. Masters, treat your slaves with justice and fairness, because you know that you also have a master in heaven.”)

God knows our hearts and knows that it is not always easy to comply. Testing of character and spiritual growth aids in overall spiritual conquering, “overcoming.” Jesus’ apostles letters are to Christians; not the world of unbelievers. Only Christians have a gifted inheritance from the Lord in this age. (Many unbelievers will be in a second resurrection, many will repent and be saved when Jesus is revealed to their minds.) This isn’t a second chance, people not called in this age have not had their first chance. God’s system of servant ownership is the best welfare system ever devised.

(Colossians 4:2-6; “Be devoted to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving. At the same time pray for us too, that God may open a door for the message so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may make it known as I should. Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunities. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer everyone.”)

Unbelievers aren’t mindful of God’s opening doors for the message, nor can they understand the mystery of Christ living in a person. (That being, “born from above.”) Christ Jesus living in people, makes people at one, “in family with” Himself and God the Father.) This, Jesus inspired letter through Paul is to converted gentile Christians at Ephesus and all called to be Believers IN.

(Ephesians 3:1-6; “For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles – if indeed you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you, that by revelation the divine secret “mystery” was made known to me, as I wrote before briefly. When reading this, you will be able to understand my insight into this secret “mystery” of Christ. (5) Now this secret was not disclosed to people in former generations as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit, namely, that through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, “church” and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus.”)

Jesus called Paul primarily to be the apostle to the gentiles, but to Israelites as well. Paul was a recipient of many revelations from Jesus; thus he was bold saying, “my insight.” If we understand these things, we too are recipients of Jesus’ revelations and can say, “my insight.” Jesus made Paul special.

(Acts 9:15-16; “But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go, because this man “Paul” is My chosen instrument to carry My name before Gentiles and kings and the people of Israel. For I “Jesus” will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of My name.”)

(Eph 3:7; “I “Paul” became a servant of this gospel according to the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the exercise of His power.”)

Jesus and His apostles, taught “This Gospel.” Not a mix of pagan and Judaism as Catholic and Protestants practice.

(Eph 3:8-9; “To me – less than the least of all the Saints – this grace was given, to proclaim to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ and to enlighten everyone about God’s secret plan – a secret that has been hidden for ages in God who has created all things.”)

Previously not understood! (God’s spirit living in us makes us love, be willingly obedient and “at one with Jesus.” Only after Jesus’ ascension and through Him, on that first Pentecost, “was this mystery made evident.” (see Acts of the Apostles, chapter 2:)

(Eph 3:10-13; “The purpose of this enlightenment is that through the church the multifaceted wisdom of God should now be disclosed to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly realms. This was according to the eternal purpose that He “God the Father” accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confident access to God because of Christ’s faithfulness. For this reason I ask you not to lose heart because of what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.”)

From creation the sacrificial death, resurrection, ascension and salvation through Jesus was planned. (Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son, “Isaac” is the Father’s example, “forerunner” of the plan) God’s prophets and angels did not understand these particulars, “as now revealed to followers of Jesus.” Allow Peter’s shared understanding.

(1 Peter 1:6-9; “This brings you “Christians” great joy, although you may have to suffer for a short time in various trials. Such trials show the proven character of your faith, which is much more valuable than gold – gold that is tested by fire, even though it is passing away – and will bring praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. (8) You have not seen Jesus, but you love Him. You do not see Him now but you believe IN Him, and so you rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, because you are attaining the goal of your faith – the salvation of your souls.”)

We need to overcome, “conquer” our inherited nature, understand Satan’s devises and grow spiritual character, “that’s valuable in God’s View.”

(1 Peter 1:10-12; “Concerning this salvation, the prophets who predicted the grace that would come to you searched and investigated carefully. They probed into what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when testified beforehand about the sufferings appointed for Christ and His subsequent glory. They “the prophets” were shown that they were serving not themselves but you, in regard to the things now announced to you through those who proclaimed the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven – things angels long to catch a glimpse of.”)

God the Father inspired Isaiah to write the following, but apparently Isaiah didn’t understand its significance, when he wrote.

(Isaiah 52:13-15; “Look, My servant “Jesus” will succeed! He will be elevated, lifted high, and greatly exalted – (just as many were horrified by the sight of You) He was so disfigured He no longer looked like a man; His form was so marred He no longer looked human – so now He will startle many nations. Kings will be shocked by His exaltation, for they will witness something unannounced to them, and they will understand something they had not heard about.”)

How wonderful, the New Covenant Jesus revealed to His apostles, explaining salvation, things His prophets and angels had been desiring to understand. (The prophets were not serving themselves, but we Believers IN, Jesus.) Remember Jesus’ parable about the last being first? Jesus’ apostles were about the business of encouraging called out People. Paul exercised tremendous strength and faith, encouraging the Saints while in prison.

(Colossians 4:7-18; “Tychicus, a dear brother, faithful minister, and fellow slave in the Lord, will tell you all the news about me. I sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know how we are doing and that he may encourage your hearts. I sent him with Onesimus, the faithful and dear brother, who is one of you. They will tell you about everything here. Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, sends you greetings, as does Mark, the cousin of Barnabas (about whom you received instructions; if he comes to you, welcome him). And Jesus who is called Justus also sends greetings. In terms of Jewish converts, these are the only fellow workers for the kingdom of God, and they have been a comfort to me. (12) Epaphras, who is one of you and a slave of Christ, greets you. He is always struggling in prayer on your behalf, so that you may stand mature and fully assured in all the will of God. For I can testify that he has worked hard for you and for those in Laodicea and Hierapolis. Our dear friend Luke the physician and Demas greet you. Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters who are in Laodicea and to Nympha and the church that meets in her house. (16) And after you have read this letter, have it read to the church of Laodicea. In turn, read the letter from Laodicea as well. And tell Archippus, “See to it that you complete the ministry you received in the Lord.” I, Paul, write this greeting by my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.”)

All Christians love and look forward to the resurrection, serving with the apostles and these co-workers.

Paul’s Letters to God’s churches, supporting text & commentary, chapter 12

Tuesday, September 20th, 2016

God’s 6th month, Elul 17, 5776 - 9/20/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

All people have a pagan leaning mentality until made, “a Christ like person.” Before God gifted a transformation. After supernaturally becoming, “a Believer IN.” we are, “His people.” Paul continues his letter to the Colossians, writing to people whose nature has been miraculously changed. “The Elect and holy.” “His church.” Such people apply themselves and grow in the knowledge of God.

(Colossians 3:12-17; “Therefore, as the Elect of God, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if someone happens to have a complaint against anyone else. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also forgive others. And to all these virtues add love, which is the perfect bond. (15) Let the peace of Christ be in control in your heart (for you were in fact called as one body to this peace) and be thankful. Let “allow” the Word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and exhorting one another with all wisdom, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, all with grace in your hearts to God. And whatever you do in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”)

After being called and God personally revealed, it’s commanded that we overcome “conquer” to the end.

In Jesus’ revelations to His apostle John, He reveals the characteristics of His seven churches, their good qualities and their short comings. (study these) Let’s review the last verse or two in each letter.

(Rev 2:6-7; (Ephesus) “But you do have this going for you: You hate what the Nicolaitans’ practice – practices I also hate. The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, I will permit him to eat from the tree of life that is in the paradise of God.’”)

(Rev 2:10-11; (Smyrna) “The devil is about to have some of you thrown into prison so you may be tested, and you will experience suffering for ten days. Remain faithful even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown that is life itself. “immortality” The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers will in no way be harmed by the second death.’”)

(Rev 2:14-17; (Pergamum) “But I have a few things against you: You have some people there who follow the teaching of Balaam, who instructed Balak to put a stumbling block before the people of Israel so they would eat food sacrificed to idols and commit sexual immorality. In the same way, there are also some among you who follow the teaching of the Nicolaitans. Therefore, repent! If not, I will come against you quickly and make war against those people with the sword of My mouth. The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, I will give him some of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on that stone will be written a new name that no one can understand except the one who receives it.’”)

(Rev 2:21-29; (Thyatira) “You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, and by her teaching deceives My servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. I have given her time to repent, but she is not willing to repent of her sexual immorality. But to the rest of you in Thyatira, all who do not hold to this teaching (who have not learned the so-called “deep secrets of Satan”), to you I say: I do not put any additional burden on you. However, hold on to what you have until I come. And to the one who conquers and who continues in My deeds until the end, I will give him authority over the nations– he will rule them with an iron rod and like clay jars he will break them to pieces, just as I have received the right to rule from My Father – and I will give him the morning star. The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”)

(Rev 3:4-6: (Sardis) “But you have a few individuals in Sardis who have not stained their clothes, and they will walk with Me dressed in white, because they are worthy. The one who conquers will be dressed like them in white clothing, and I will never erase his name from the book of life, but will declare his name before My Father and before His angels. The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”)

(Rev 3:9-13; (Philadelphia) “Listen! I am going to make those people from the synagogue of Satan – who say they are Jews “Christian” yet are not but are lying, Look, I will make them come and bow down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you. Because you have kept My admonition to endure steadfastly, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come on the whole world to test those who live on the earth. The one who conquers I will make a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will never depart from it. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God (the new Jerusalem that comes down out of heaven from My God), and My new name as well. The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”)

(Rev 3:14-22; (Laodicea) “Listen! I am standing at the door and knocking! If anyone hears My voice and opens the door I will come into his home and share a meal with him, and he with Me. I will grant the one who conquers permission to sit with Me on My throne, just as I too conquered and sat down with My Father on His throne. The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”) It seems the, “Laodicea church” is characteristic of Jesus’ prophecy regarding the times just before His return.

Peace on earth was prophesied long before.

Jesus’ return as King of kings and Lord of lords is to bring peace, abundance and a world wide knowledge of Himself and God the Father. His first coming was as, “The Light to the world.” Through Jesus, we see God the Father. To the called Jesus is, “that Rock that led Israel from sinful Egypt” but a stumbling stone to unbelievers.

When Jesus’ parents brought Him to Jerusalem to do the customary, a righteous and devout man named Simeon had been spirit directed to be there. It had been revealed to Simeon that he would not die before he saw the Lord’s Christ. Taking Jesus in his arms, Simeon said, “Now, according to Your Word, Sovereign Lord, permit your servant to depart in peace. For my eyes have seen Your salvation that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples: a light, for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to Your people Israel.” So the child’s father and mother were amazed at what was said about Him. Then Simeon blessed them and said to His mother Mary, “Listen carefully: This child is destined to be the cause of the falling and rising of many in Israel and to be a sign that will be rejected. Indeed, as a result of Him the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed – and a sword will pierce your own soul as well!” Luke 2:25-35)

Jesus said about Himself.

(Matt 10:34-36; “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household.) After Jesus is revealed, His spirit imputed, we find little in common with the world and likely our family too. Consider what was revealed to the Baptist.

(John 1:6-13; A man came, sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify about The Light, so that everyone might believe through Him. He Himself was not The Light, but he came to testify about The Light. The True Light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was created by Him, but the world did not recognize Him. He came to what was His own, but His own people did not receive Him. But to all who have received Him – those who believe IN His name – He has given the right to become God’s children; children not born by human parents or by human desire or a husband’s decision, but by God.”)

We need to be mindful that when God the Father reveals Jesus in this age, it isn’t to bring peace, “division is likely.” It is by God’s decision that we become His children. When He comes again as Lord of lords, knowledge of Him will cover as water covers the sea. God has promised a miraculous spiritual and a physical resurrection. Prophesied through Jeremiah, one of several.

(Jeremiah 31:8-22; Then I will reply ‘I will bring them back from the land of the north.

I will gather them in from the distant parts of the earth. Blind and lame people will come with them, so will pregnant women and women about to give birth. A vast throng of people will come back here. They will come back shedding tears of contrition. I will bring them back praying prayers of repentance. I will lead them besides streams of water,

along smooth paths where they will never stumble. I will do this because I am Israel’s Father; Ephraim is My firstborn son.’” (Ephraim & Manassas were Joseph’s sons. Jacob pronounced special blessings on these two. God set thee younger before the older. See Genesis 48:20)

(10-19; Hear what the Lord has to say, O nations. Proclaim it in the faraway lands along the sea. Say, “The One who scattered Israel will re-gather them. He will watch over His people like a shepherd watches over his flock.” For the Lord will rescue the descendants of Jacob. He will secure their release from those who had overpowered them. They will come and shout for joy on Mount Zion. They will be radiant with joy over the good things the Lord provides, the grain, the fresh wine, the olive oil, the young sheep and calves he has given to them. They will be like a well-watered garden and will not grow faint or weary any more. The Lord says, “At that time young women will dance and be glad. Young men and old men will rejoice. I will turn their grief into gladness. I will give them comfort and joy in place of their sorrow. I will provide the priests with abundant provisions. My people will be filled to the full with the good things I provide.”

(15-20; The Lord says, “A sound is heard in Ramah, a sound of crying in bitter grief.

It is the sound of Rachel, “Jacob’s wife” weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because her children are gone.” The Lord says to her, “Stop crying! Do not shed any more tears!

For your heartfelt repentance will be rewarded. Your children will return from the land of the enemy. I, the Lord, affirm it! Indeed, there is hope for your posterity. Your children will return to their own territory. I, the Lord, affirm it! I have indeed heard the people of Israel say mournfully, ‘We were like a calf untrained to the yoke. You disciplined us and we learned from it. Let us come back to you and we will do so, for you are the Lord our God. For after we turned away from you we repented. After we came to our senses we beat our breasts in sorrow. We are ashamed and humiliated because of the disgraceful things we did previously.’ Indeed, the people of Israel are My dear children. They are the children I take delight in. .For even though I must often rebuke them, I still remember them with fondness. So I am deeply moved with pity for them and will surely have compassion on them. I, the Lord, affirm it!

(21-22; I will say, ‘My dear children of Israel, keep in mind the road you took when you were carried off. Mark off in your minds the landmarks. Make a mental note of telltale signs marking the way back. Return, my dear children of Israel. Return to these cities of yours. How long will you vacillate, you who were once like an unfaithful daughter? For I, the Lord, promise to bring about something new on the earth, something as unique as a woman protecting a man!’”) All this in part, because of God’s promise to Abraham. Thus, all Israel to be saved, (see Romans 11:26.)

God’s 3rd holy season is only two weeks away, the first day of God’s 7th month, “Trumpets” foreshadows the first and spiritual resurrection and Jesus’ return. The 10th day of His 7th month is, “Atonement” “Yom Kipper” foreshadowing Believers IN, literally being at one with God the Son & God the Father. The 15th day begins the “Feast of Tabernacles” foreshadowing Jesus’ millennial reign. The 22nd, “eighth day of the feast is God’s 7th annual holy day, “The Last Great Day” foreshadowing final judgment.

Paul’s Letters to God’s churches, supporting text & commentary, chapter 11

Monday, September 19th, 2016

God’s 6th month, Elul 16, 5776 - 9/19/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

The whole world had been conformed to Satan’s, “get way” long before Jesus and His apostles taught that people should be Christ Like. The whole world; “except those God chose to reveal Himself to” was in a state of perishing long before Abraham, Moses and David. Satan has been about the business of camouflaging God’s Word and Ways since Adam. Paul was inspired to pen this truth.

(“But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing, among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe so they would not see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2Corinthians 4:3-4) To the Romans Paul wrote.

(Rom 12:2; “Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God – what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.”) We need to know why and how this world got to the place we are in today.

Satan’s hold on this world and the pagan worship of imaginary deities is reflected in our so called Roman Christian calendar. The Romans named days after imagined gods. (Sunday - old English sunnandæg “day of the sun,” translation of Latin dies solis.) (Monday - old English mōnandæg, a Germanic, translation of Latin lunae dies “day of the moon”) (Tuesday - old English, Tīwesdæg “Tiu’s day” Germanic god of war (translation of Latin Martis dies “Mars’ day.) (Wednesday - old English wōdnesdæg “Woden’s day” “Woden + dæg “day,” translation of Latin Mercurii dies “Mercury’s day.”) (Thursday - old English, Þu(n)resdæg “day of thunder,” translation of late Latin Jovis dies “day of Jupiter - the god of thunder.”) (Friday - old English, Frīgedæg “day of the goddess Frigg.”)

We can absolutely prove the origin of the so called, “Roman Christian calendar” and how it differs from the, “Orthodox Christian calendar.” Proof Satan’s divisionary control over the nations. Proof that organized denominational Christianity looks to and worships Satan’s pagan ways more than The Ways of our Creator. Pagan practices. modern professing Christians look to are abominations God hates. Paul wrote to the Colossians about why Jesus came and why they needed to be converted from their previous evil practices. Lets review the highlights of verses 6-15 of chapter two in the previous study.

(Be careful not to allow anyone to captivate you through an empty, deceitful philosophy that is according to human traditions and the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ

(In Him you also were circumcised – not, however, with a circumcision performed by human hands, but by the removal of the fleshly body, “mind” that is, through the circumcision done by Christ.

(Having been buried with Him in baptism, you also have been raised with Him through your faith in the power of God who raised Him from the dead. And even though you were dead in your transgressions and in the un-circumcision of your flesh, He nevertheless made you alive with Him, having forgiven all your transgressions.)

Worshiping the sun, planets, statues and demonic customs of the world are abominations to God. God gave His people a calendar that reflected His Ways and foreshadows His plan for His saving the world. It’s all preplanned..

Shortening the time of human rule is promised.

(Mark 13:20-23; “And if the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would be saved. But because of the Elect, whom He chose, He has cut them short. Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘Look, there He is!’ do not believe Him. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, the Elect. Be careful! I have told you everything ahead of time.”) Worldly religions have the, “Cain outlook.” God calls us to yield to the, “Abel outlook.”

For the first fifty plus years after Jesus’ ascension His apostles traveled far and wide spreading the good news about Jesus being the prophesied Messiah. Sharing Moses and the prophets writings about His coming, Sharing Jesus’ miracles, revealed teachings and His promised return with power.

The people groups went to, were likened to the Israelites in Egypt many years previous, in that they were characteristically pagan in their thinking and worship. We know little about most of Jesus’ apostles’ travels. Andrew, James son of Zebedee, Philip, Bartholomew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Thaddeus, and Simon the Zealot are barely mentioned in the book, “Acts of the apostles.” We know they each taught the same inspired revealed messages, that Jesus gave each authority over unclean spirits and healing many through them during the time allotted.

(Matthew 10:5-8; “Jesus sent out these twelve, instructing them as follows: “Do not go to Gentile regions and do not enter any Samaritan town. Go instead to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. As you go, preach this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven is near!’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.” The lost sheep of the house of Israel were scattered in many countries; thus the records of the majority were not documented in the book, “Acts of the apostles” written by Luke. Apparently because of their gifted powers, Jesus first sent His apostles out, commanding that they make no provisions for their travels. (see Matt 10:9-15)

“Because of Jesus’ miracles through them, Jesus said; (Whenever you enter a town or village, find out who is worthy there and stay with them until you leave. As you enter the house, give it greetings. And if the house is worthy, let your peace come on it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And if anyone will not welcome you or listen to your message, shake the dust off your feet as you leave that house or that town. I tell you the truth, it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town!”) Later Jesus send His apostles out, telling them to go prepared.

Jesus’ doctrine and teachings through His apostles is a, “covenant of obedience with His chosen people, as was His covenant with Israel, through Moses.” A contract with a people Jesus calls Saints, “a people born from above.” “A people in whom His gifted spirit resides.” “A people loving God as He is manifested to be in the holy scriptures.” From this understanding, Paul wrote to the Romans.

(Romans 12:1-2; “Present your bodies as a sacrifice, alive, holy, and pleasing to God; which is your reasonable service. Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God – what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.”) Remember Israel’s condition when Jesus led them from Egypt through Moses? Jacob’s descendents had succumbed to the ways of sinful Egypt. Because of His promise to Abraham, God called, led and delivered them from Egypt. (Egypt representing sin.) God offered and they accepted His covenant, “contract.” Circumcision was the physical evident reminder. God gave some Egyptians the mind to follow and they too were circumcised in the flesh, becoming a part of Israel. (Israelites had conformed to the world and God led them to a transformation, “a renewing.”)

Today, God leads, delivers His chosen, makes them, “Saints of the Most High.” God’s church at Rome was spiritually circumcised of mind and heart as are His Saints today. Christians are spiritually shedding their inherited fleshly nature and being transformed to the likeness of Jesus.

Jesus’ covenant with Israel through Moses was physical. It looked forward to Jesus’ covenant sacrifice for the sins of the world. Physical Israelites delivered from physical Egypt were unable to spiritually yield to and love God’s Way, because the holy spirit had not yet been given. In their physical, “fleshly” condition they could not lovingly obey. See John’s explanation regarding Jesus and the spirit.

(John 7:37-39; ““On the last day of the feast, “of Tabernacles” the greatest day, Jesus stood up and shouted out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me, and let the one who believes in Me drink. Just as the scripture says, ‘From within him will flow rivers of living water.’” (Now Jesus said this about the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were going to receive, for the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.”) Except God be revealed individually and we turn from our inherited fleshly nature, we do not have the capacity to spiritually love and obey as Jesus did. We are only able to spiritually yield to God through Paul’s instruction, when we are gifted with a belief IN Jesus. Recipients of Jesus’ spirit imputed to our minds. Through His gifted spirit, we live God’s loving law.

(Rom 12:9-21; “Love must be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil, cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another with mutual love, showing eagerness in honoring one another. Do not lag in zeal, be enthusiastic in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, endure in suffering, persist in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the Saints, pursue hospitality. Bless those who persecute you, bless and do not curse. (15) Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty but associate with the lowly. Do not be conceited. Do not repay anyone evil for evil; consider what is good before all people. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all people. Do not avenge yourselves, dear friends, but give place to God’s wrath, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Rather, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing this you will be heaping burning coals on his head. (21) Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”)

No one can live the above, in the flesh! Only through the imputation of God’s spirit, can we spiritually obey. All the law and the prophets looked forward to the time when, with God’s help, people could live this covenant relationship.

At the time of Jesus’ first coming, many Israelites knew of the prophesied Messiah’s coming and His being King David’s heir. They expected the Messiah’s coming to be likened to God delivering through Moses. Jesus’ apostles thought that He would establish His physical kingdom on earth at that time, “until Jesus opened their minds.”

Jesus did promised to return, establish His kingdom with power, bind Satan and bring peace to a deceived world. Only after a miraculous opening of their minds, did Jesus’ apostles understand that a spiritually circumcised people would be called to overcome by the blood of the Lamb and rule with Jesus in His kingdom.

(Colossians 3:1-3; “Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Keep thinking about things above, not things on the earth, for you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”) All who are, “born from above” are spiritually circumcised; fleshly dead and their life “immortality” is hidden with Christ in God.

(Col 3:4-11; “When Christ (who is your life) appears, then you too will be revealed in glory with Him. So put to death whatever in your nature belongs to the earth: sexual immorality, impurity, shameful passion, evil desire, and greed which is idolatry. Because of these things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. You also “once” lived your lives in this way at one time, when you used to live among them. But now, put off all such things as anger, rage, malice, slander, abusive language from your mouth. Do not lie to one another since you have put off “circumcised’ the old man with its practices and have been clothed with the new man that is being renewed in knowledge according to the image of the One who created it. (11) Here there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all and in all.”) The Son of God “Jesus Christ” is now glorified and at the right hand of God the Father. Now in this age, His spirit is given to His chosen, “the Saints.” Quoting from Isaiah 28:16; Jesus’ apostle Peter explains, Christ Like People’s position, here and now.

(1 Peter 2:4-10; “So as you come to Jesus a living stone rejected by men but chosen and priceless in God’s sight, you yourselves, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood and to offer spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (6) For it says in scripture, “Look, I lay in Zion a stone, a chosen and priceless cornerstone, and whoever believes IN Him will never be put to shame. So you who believe see His value, but for those who do not believe, the stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone, and a stumbling-stone and a rock to trip over. They stumble because they disobey the Word, as they were destined to do. But you, “Christians” are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of His own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. You once were not a people, but now you are God’s people. You were shown no mercy, but now you have received mercy.”)

Christ like people in that and this age were pagan before God‘s gifted transformation. After God is revealed, Believers IN become, “God’s people.” Paul continues in his letter to the Colossians. Let’s note that he is writing to people whose nature has been miraculously changed. Now Paul calls these, “the Elect and holy.” “His church.” Recommending that each apply themselves and grow in the knowledge of God.
