God’s 7th month, Tishrei 10, 5777, 10/12/16. To followers of Jesus.

People’s gods can be identified by the sum total of their practices. That which we yield ourselves to. Dedicated involvement in this world’s system of things makes the system one’s god. We should ask, do I seek to know the God of Abraham’ view. From our weak in the flesh nature, we may not want to appear strange to our peers, so we are pulled in a, “go along to get along” direction. Some find Jesus’ Way embarrassing. That can defile one’s conscious. Jesus explained this inherited nature in His parable about a rich man entering God’s kingdom. Jesus’ disciples asked, “then who can be saved.?”

Jesus replied; “this is impossible for mere humans, but with God all things are possible.” Individuals thinking salvation can be obtained by following personal convictions are in darkness still. Peter asked; “What then will there be for us, “we apostles?” Jesus spoke of their leaving all to following Him, of “inheriting eternal life” and His millennial kingdom.

(Matt 19:23-30; Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth: In the age when all things are renewed, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you “twelve” who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (29) And whoever has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for My sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”)

People gifted with a love of Jesus in their minds aren’t ashamed and are inheriting eternal life. When all things are renewed under Jesus’ authority as king of kings; Israel’s 12 tribes will be recognized and Jesus’ 12 apostles will be their leaders. See Isaiah 35:.

Later Jesus personally revealed the same to His apostle John. See Revelations 21:.

Again in parable, Jesus described His kingdom, likening it to a wedding banquet. Many were invited but all were to busy with personal activities and the expectations of others. Finally the king ask his servants to go out and invite people from the streets, both bad and good to fill the banquet hall.

(Matt 22:1-14; “When the king came in to see the wedding guests, he saw a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ But he had nothing to say. Then the king said to his attendants, ‘Tie him up hand and foot and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth!’ Many are called, but few are chosen.”)

NOT wearing wedding clothes? Not having put on Jesus? Not immersing self in Jesus? Is to make gods fitting one’s personal likes. Paul speaks of Jesus’ apostles Peter and Barnabas’ weakness in the flesh, finding themselves yielding to what was popular with their peers.

(Galatians 2:11-14; “But when Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he had clearly done wrong. Until certain people came from James, “Jerusalem church” Peter had been eating with the Gentiles. But when they “from Jerusalem” arrived, Peter stopped doing this and separated himself because he was afraid of those who were pro-circumcision. And the rest of the Jews also joined with him in this hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was led astray with them by their hypocrisy. (14) But when I saw that they were not behaving consistently with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, “If you, although you are a Jew, live like a Gentile and not like a Jew, how can you try to force the Gentiles to live like Jews?”)

The lesson? We need not be overly critical of people ostracizing us for our following Jesus’ Way. Back to Paul’s teaching the Galatians and we Believers.

(Galatians 2:15-16; “We “apostles” are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that no one is justified by the works of the law but by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by the faithfulness of Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.”)

Paul is distinguishing Israelite mindfulness of the law and gentile sinners, because of their differing life style practices they were accustomed to. Understand; Paul is teaching, that both, Israelites and gentiles are justified by Jesus’ faith, gifted to people’s minds. NOT a persons own conjured up faith, in a Jesus of one’s own imagination! Christians are led to believe in the Jesus of Abraham!

(Gal 2:17; “But if while seeking to be justified in Christ we ourselves have also been found to be sinners, is Christ then one who encourages sin? Absolutely not!”)

Jesus encourages Believers IN to over come their sin nature to the end.

Jesus’ apostle John explained; “Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; indeed, sin is lawlessness.” 1 John 3:4) John explaining that sin is, what is lawlessness in God’s View!

(Gal 2:18; “But if I build up again those things I once destroyed, I demonstrate that I am one who breaks God’s law.”)

Through Jesus, Paul buried the old self and put on the Ways of God. Thus freed by Jesus’ truth and having Jesus’ spirit imputed, Paul was willing and lovingly obedient to the spirit of the law. If Paul backed off that gifted understanding, “he would be breaking God’s law.!”

(Gal 2:19-21; “For through the law I died to the law so that I may live to God. I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So the life I now live in the body, I live because of the faithfulness of the Son of God, (Not my own faith) who loved me and gave Himself for me. (21) I do not set aside God’s grace, because if righteousness could come through the law, then Christ died for nothing!”)

Paul’s calling and being gifted to believe IN Jesus, moved him from darkness to light. Jesus died so that His spirit, “mind” could be gifted to those God the Father calls. Thus recipients of God’s spirit inherit eternal life through Jesus. The law for good of all and is as a schoolmaster for the fleshly minded. When God’s people are gifted with His spirit, they are gifted with a love of, “God’s spiritual intent of His law.”

Jesus was in Jerusalem during the annual Feast of Tabernacles and on the seventh of seven annual Sabbaths, He spoke out.

(John 7:37-39; “On the last day of the feast, the greatest day, Jesus stood up and shouted out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me, and let the one who believes in Me drink. Just as the scripture says, ‘From within him will flow rivers of living water.’” (39) (Now Jesus said this about the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were going to receive, for the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Believing IN Jesus as the Savior of the world is a gift. Believing In Jesus’ promises is a gift. Gifted believing IN saves people from the clutches of lawlessness against God, which is sin and death. Gifted believing IN gives a person the desire to be obedient, love God the Father and God the Son.

Paul had been a devout Pharisee law keeper, he had obeyed what he understood and he self righteously persecuted God‘s church, until Jesus called and put His spirit in him. We that understand this, need to be reminded often, “calling and forgiveness is gifted, by grace to undeserving sin practicing people.”

The Galatians were not well grounded in the faith of Jesus, as Christian’s should be, thus, the tone in Paul’s letter to them.

(Gal 3:1-2; “You foolish Galatians! Who has cast a spell on you? Before your eyes Jesus Christ was vividly portrayed as crucified! The only thing I want to learn from you is this: Did you receive the Spirit by doing the works of the law or by believing what you heard?”)

Each called out, repentant and saved individual since Jesus’ ascension is saved by His grace. Believers IN is, “being gifted to understanding who Jesus is and why He was sacrificed.” He died, shed His blood, so our individual lawless nature could be changed. “So we could be reborn born from above” Born from above people are recipients of His spirit, gifted with the desire to have His mind and love as He loves.

(Gal 3:3-5; “Are you so foolish? Although you began with the Spirit, are you now trying to finish by human effort? Have you suffered so many things for nothing? – if indeed it was for nothing. Does God then give you the Spirit and work miracles among you by your doing the works of the law or by your believing what you heard?”)

People not recipients of the holy spirit, “as were the Pharisee types” taught a strict adherence to the law, with the underlying theme that doing so saved. From their fleshly nature and people’s today it seemed, “there hast to be a methodology to being saved.” Abraham is our example, “he obeyed because he loved God.” He didn’t rely on what seemed right to his intellect or his good activities. Cain is our example of what not to do.

(Gal 3:6-11; “Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, so then understand that those who believe are the sons of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, proclaimed the gospel to Abraham ahead of time, saying, “All the nations will be blessed in you.” (9) So then those who believe are blessed along with Abraham the Believer. For all who rely on doing the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not keep on doing everything written in the book of the law.””)

Our inherited fleshly instinctive nature cannot keep God’s law, “lovingly.” To think, “relying on the law can change one’s nature is a curse.”

(Gal 3:11-14; “Now it is clear no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous one will live by faith. But the law is not based on faith, but the one who does the works of the law will live by them. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us (because it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”) in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, so that we could receive the promise of the Spirit by faith.”)

Jesus’ gifted faith to our minds, puts a love of Jesus’ Way in our being. A love for what Jesus loves and hatred of what Jesus hates..

Paul’s insight to God’s church at Rome.

(Romans 6:15-23; “What then? Shall we sin “practice things God said, don’t do” because we are not under law but under grace? Absolutely not! Do you not know that if you present yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or obedience resulting in righteousness? But thanks be to God that though you were slaves to sin, you obeyed from the heart that pattern of teaching you were entrusted to, and having been freed from “the practices of” sin, you became enslaved to “Jesus’” righteousness. (I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh.) For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification. For when you were slaves of sin, you were free with regard to righteousness. (21) So what benefit did you then reap from those things that you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death. But now, freed from sin “practices God said, “don’t do” and enslaved to God, you have your benefit leading to sanctification, and the end is eternal life. For the payoff of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”)

Christians are led to lovingly practice the spiritual intent of God’s law. Acknowledging all that is holy to God.

God’s 7th month, Tishrei 9, 5777, 10/11/16. To followers of Jesus.

Today at sunset begins the fifth of God’s seven annual Sabbaths. The day of Atonement, (Yom Kipper to Judaism). The day foreshadows our literally being AT ONE in purpose with our Creator.

God delivered the Israelites by promise to Abraham, not for any good in them. Likewise when Jesus is revealed to us and we are gifted with a desire to know Him, it isn’t because of any good in us, but by predestined promise that we be heirs with Abraham through Jesus. Consider Paul’s exclamation regarding his deliverance from darkness.

(Galatians 1:11-17; “Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. For I did not receive it or learn it from any human source; instead I received it by a revelation of Jesus Christ. For you have heard of my former way of life in Judaism, how I was savagely persecuting the church of God and trying to destroy it. (14) I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my nation, and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my ancestors. But when the One “God the Father” who set me apart from birth and called Me by His grace was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I could preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not go to ask advice from any human being, (17) nor did I go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before me, but right away I departed to Arabia, and then returned to Damascus.”)

Paul realized that God set him aside at birth and called him by His grace; revealing Jesus Christ as his Shepherd. It was Jesus that spoke to Paul when he was in route to Damascus. Paul did not immediately go to Jerusalem to discover how Peter, John and James were presenting Jesus; rather he fasted and yielded to Jesus’ revelations to himself. When God gifts us with the desire to know Him, we need to seek, study independently, meditate and prayerfully seek spiritual gifted understanding.

(Gal 1:18-24; “Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas, “Peter” and get information from him, and I stayed with him fifteen days. But I saw none of the other apostles except James the Lord’s brother. I assure you that, before God, I am not lying about what I am writing to you! Afterward I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia. But I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. They were only hearing, “The one who once persecuted us is now proclaiming the good news of the faith he once tried to destroy.” So they glorified God because of me.”)

Are today’s organized churches ambassadors with Jesus’? Not if they mix paganism. For the most part God’s called are scattered, worshiping as strangers in a foreign land as did Abraham. Government tax exemptions, political correctness and invading impostures wanting to lord over, make righteous organizing difficult in every nation. Independent assembling, omitting political correctness and independent of governments is the way.

(Gal 2:1-5; “Then after fourteen years I went up to Jerusalem again with Barnabas, taking Titus along too. I went there because of a revelation and presented to them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. But I did so only in a private meeting with the influential people, to make sure that I was not running – or had not run– in vain. Yet not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, although he was a Greek. Now this matter arose because of the false brothers with false pretenses who slipped in unnoticed to spy on our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, to make us slaves. But we did not surrender to them even for a moment, in order that the truth of the gospel would remain with you.”)

Jesus’ apostles encountered divisionary opponents from many fronts. Judean Pharisee and Sadducees with scholarly credential, persuaded congregations toward methodology. A human method of how one can be saved seems logical to our fleshly inherited minds. However methodology isn’t God’s way! Study Romans 4:13-25, where Paul gives us Abraham’s example.

Circumcision looked forward to circumcision of the heart. Methodology thinking Pharisees, couldn’t understand that eternal life was not through the law. Then there was gentiles confusion, they not wanting to turn loose of pagan customs. Teaching God’s truth has always encountered the same problems. Judaism not accepting Jesus’ resurrection and professing Christians hanging to old pagan practices keep both in spiritual darkness.

(2 Corinthians 6:14: “Do not become partners with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness?)

The flesh is weak, Christians need to be mindful of our fleshly nature’s pulls. Even wise Solomon yielded to inherited lustfulness and took pagan wives. (see 1 Kings 11:)

Followers of Jesus, can only point out the pit falls of our inherited nature to the willing. Our vehemently debating personal opinions only aids Satan’s purposes. Dividing families, people groups and nations is Satan’s dark purpose. Jesus’ apostle Paul said it best, “God is not characterized by disorder but by peace.”

1 Cor 14:32-33; Net bible translation, “disorder and the lack of peace come from ungodly sources. The King James translation. “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace as in all churches of the Saints.” Methodology minded people like to control, dominate and abuse. When conformity to this world’s system of things is practiced, participants evolve to an acceptance of demonic ideas, practices and opinions that appeal to the fleshly mind. Again, Jesus’ apostle Paul says it best.

(Romans 12:2; “Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God – what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.”)

This world’s system of things is divided by demonically influencing fleshly minded people to exercise instinctive self righteousness. So, each person wants thing their way. Each child is born with it. But even the fleshly minded can over come it’s pulls with self imposed discipline. Individuals can choose their own, or another’s religion. However believers IN God are gifted to understand that both boil down to idolatry.

The answer is; “seek God’s View, His opinion and His Way regarding all things!” Turn from what seems right to the fleshly mind and turn to God’s Word prayerfully. The holy scriptures refer to such turning as, “repentance.” When people aren’t spiritually led to see the flaws in their own inherited fleshly nature, they remain where Satan wants them. As we reviewed in the previous chapter, Jesus’ brother James was gifted to understand our inherited nature and shared it with us. Basically James taught, “when people ask from within their fleshly minds, they aren’t asking humbly with apologetic attitudes, but are asking to appease emotions, which are generally confined to, ‘me, myself and mine.’” Fleshly compassion runs shallow. So, let’s review Paul’s explanation of how a,” Christ-Like mind” should work, review Philippians 2:4-8.

Each apostle advised people to follow them as they followed Jesus. Each clearly stated that God the Father and God the Son revealed themselves and gifted them with spiritual understanding. Love being key in all things. Their prayers were not hindered by the old inherited fleshly nature because their nature had been converted to a nature like Jesus’.. Like Jesus, His apostles did not regard equality with God as something desired. Methodology thinking people leaning to their own understanding, thus desiring equality with God, by choosing for themselves, what’s right, wrong, good and evil. Such a desire appealed to Eve when the old devil said; “God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will open and you will be like divine beings who know good and evil.” Gen 3:5))

Jesus’ desire was to follow His Father’s lead in all things and commanded that we follow Him as He followed our Father. Over and over, each of the four gospel writers, quoted Jesus saying; “I did not come to do My own will, but the Fathers. Each Believer IN, is blessed with that same mentality, “loving God because He loved us first.”

Jesus’ apostle personally taught from gifted revelation. Paul wasn’t influenced by personalities or the apostles that had been with Jesus before His ascension. We need the same yielding to God mentality. By studying God’s Word and prayerfully meditating on it, we wait on His revelations. Thus grow in revealed faith and knowledge of Him, through His gifted faith in us. After fourteen years Paul went up to Jerusalem, consulted with and shared his experiences with God’s church leaders.

(Gal 2:6-10; “But from those “apostles” who were influential (whatever they were makes no difference to me; God shows no favoritism between people) – those influential leaders added nothing to my message. On the contrary, when they saw that I was entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised just as Peter was to the circumcised (8) (for He who empowered Peter for his apostleship to the circumcised also empowered me for my apostleship to the Gentiles and when James, Peter and John, who had a reputation as pillars, recognized the grace that had been given to me, they gave to Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship, agreeing that we would go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised. (10) They requested only that we remember the poor, the very thing I also was eager to do.”)

Each apostle was and each Christian is, led by the spirit of Jesus. Some years later Paul returned to Jerusalem. He had traveled to many places and encountered divisionary situations from Judaism and gentile leaders who wanted to trample on truth’s freedom and lord over the people. Paul knew returning to Jerusalem had it’s dangers. In route Paul and company came to the home of an evangelist named Philip. That experience is recorded in, “Acts of the apostles.”

(Acts 21:8-24; “On the next day we left and came to Caesarea, and entered the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him. (He had four unmarried daughters who prophesied.) While we remained there for a number of days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea. He came to us, took Paul’s belt, tied his own hands and feet with it, and said, “The Holy Spirit says this: ‘This is the way the Jews in Jerusalem will tie up the man whose belt this is, and will hand him over to the Gentiles.” When we heard this, both we and the local people begged Paul not to go up to Jerusalem. (13) Then Paul replied, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be tied up, but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” Because he could not be persuaded, we said no more except, “The Lord’s will be done.” (Christians from Caesarea, Paul’s usual traveling companions and Mnason of Cyprus, “a disciple from earlier times” all went up to Jerusalem. Doctor Luke recording the event.) (17) When we arrived in Jerusalem, the brothers welcomed us gladly. The next day Paul went in with us to see James, “Jesus’ brother” and all the elders were there. When Paul had greeted them, he began to explain in detail what God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry. When they heard this, they praised God. Then they said to him, “You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are who have believed, and they are all ardent observers of the law. They have been informed about you – that you teach all the Jews now living among the Gentiles to abandon Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or live according to our customs. What then should we do? They will no doubt hear that you have come. (23) So do what we tell you: We have four men who have taken a vow; take them and purify yourself along with them and pay their expenses, so that they may have their heads shaved. Then everyone will know there is nothing in what they have been told about you, but that you yourself live in conformity with the law.”)

Paul never taught Israelites or gentiles not to live in conformity with the law; thus Paul had no problem teaching this. Paul taught that circumcision of the flesh foreshadowed circumcision of the heart. He did not teach physical circumcision as a necessity for salvation.

God’s 7th month, Tishrei 8, 5777, 10/10/16. To followers of Jesus.

From God’s calling and Abraham believing IN, he was delivered from darkness to light. Our Creator, who cannot lie, made promises of deliverance to Abraham’s physical and spiritual descendents; through the Descendent, “Jesus.“ Review, John 1:1-5, Colossians 1:15-20 & Hebrews 1: & 2:, these scriptures identify Jesus as the Creator. God the Father purposely sent His willing Son to live in the flesh, be our sacrificial Lamb and shed His blood, so the world’s sins could be remitted through Him. Jesus is now serving as our Mediator until the appointed time of His return as king of kings. We people that know we are created in God’s image, know not to look else where, for knowledge regarding, what is right, wrong, good and evil. Satan could not make deceptive inroads if people believed IN creation and looked to God for knowledge.

Satan’s deceiving this world’s populations will ultimately play into God’s hands. When people’s minds are opened and they are able to identify Satan as the culprit, who has deceived the whole world; “many will be gifted with remorseful repentance.” Satan’s tempting Eve caused the first act of disobedience and the fall of man. Satan is the cause, of people inheriting a lawless nature and the reason, “all are born with a sin nature.” Thus from the beginning The Sacrificial Lamb’s Work was planned. God always looked forward to creating a spiritual people that would be at one with Himself. Lets review.

(Philippians 2:1-8; “Therefore, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort provided by love, any fellowship in the Spirit, any affection or mercy, complete my joy and be of the same mind, by having the same love, being united in spirit, and having one purpose. Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself. Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well. You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had, who though He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God, “the Father” as something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking on the form of a slave, by looking like other men, and by sharing in human nature. He humbled Himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death – even death on a cross!

Jesus, His apostles, nor do followers of Jesus, think to independently decide for themselves, what was right, wrong, good and evil.

(9-11; As a result God exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow – in heaven and on earth and under the earth – and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

(12-13; So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, continue working out your salvation with awe and reverence, for the One bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort – for the sake of His good pleasure – is God.

The desire to be at one with God can’t be conjured up, it’s gifted.

It isn’t natural to the fleshly mind, to study God’s Word independently, meditate and prayerfully seek spiritual gifted understanding. To the fleshly mind, it’s natural to lean to one’s own understanding. Learn from our particular environment, tradition, educators and parents. Political correctness is acceptable to the fleshly minded. From these foundations, Satan has a field day, promoting division. Jesus taught this truth through James, “again lets review.”

(James 4:1-5; “Where do the conflicts and where do the quarrels among you come from? Is it not from this, from your passions that battle inside you? You desire and you do not have; you murder and envy and you cannot obtain; you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask; you ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, so you can spend it on your passions. Adulterers, do you not know that friendship with the world means hostility toward God? So whoever decides to be the world’s friend makes himself God’s enemy. Or do you think the scripture means nothing when it says, “The spirit that God caused to live within us has an envious yearning”?) When we lean to our own understanding, “we are adulterers in God‘s View!”

(Proverbs 3:5-8; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own estimation; fear the Lord and turn away from evil. This will bring healing to your body, and refreshment to your inner self.”) (Study the whole text.) It is from pride that people lean to their own understanding. Disagreements are natural.

(James 4:6-10; “Or do you think the scripture means nothing when it says, “The spirit that God caused to live within us has an envious yearning.” But He gives greater grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.” So submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and make your hearts pure, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn, and weep. Turn your laughter into mourning and your joy into despair. Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will exalt you.”)

God is opposed to people’s leaning to their own understanding. This is what Satan tempted Eve, Adam and Cain to do. We all inherited a spiritually adulterous nature from Adam, that must be turned from, “repent for having yielded to.”

Our practices identify us to our communities. Our inherited instinctive nature wants to be like and liked by our family, peers and to be politically correct. God’s called out a people to practice a life opposed to what is politically correct. Jesus’ Way is never considered normal in communities that lean to political correctness. Their practices fits this world’s system of things. It was no different in the apostle’s day, Peter wrote.

(1 Peter 4:12-14; “Dear friends, do not be astonished that a trial by fire is occurring among you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice in the degree that you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, so that when His glory is revealed you may also rejoice and be glad. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the spirit of glory, who is the Spirit of God, rests on you.”)

All recorded history of God’s dealing with His prophets, Moses and Israel are for our learning in this latter age. Remember Christians are modern day Israelites - Jews. (See Galatians 3:29) We need to consider God’s Words through His prophet, Moses and His characteristically dealing with disobedience. Moses received the ten commandments, a second time and worshiped God.

(Exodus 34:8-10; “Moses quickly bowed to the ground and worshiped and said, “If now I have found favor in your sight, O Lord, let my Lord go among us, for we are a stiff-necked people; pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for Your inheritance.” (10) The Lord said, “See, I am going to make a covenant before all your people. I will do wonders such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation. All the people among whom you live will see the work of the Lord, for it is a fearful thing that I am doing with you.”)

The miraculous things God did for His chosen people are historical facts, never equaled. Likened to the miracles Jesus did personally, through His apostles and His promised miraculous power at His second coming. Unbelieving people driven from lands in Moses’ day are likened to the unbelievers Jesus will encounter when He returns.

(Exodus 34:11-17; “Obey what I am commanding you this day. I am going to drive out before you the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite. Be careful not to make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where you are going, lest it become a snare among you. Rather you must destroy their altars, smash their images, and cut down their Asherah poles. (14) For you must not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. Be careful not to make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to their gods, and someone invites you, you will eat from his sacrifice; and you then take his daughters for your sons, and when his daughters prostitute themselves to their gods, they will make your sons prostitute themselves to their gods as well. You must not make yourselves molten gods.”)

God does not change. People leaning to their own understanding are prostituting themselves. God’s covenant equivalent for Christian worship and marriage is revealed to us through Jesus’ apostle Paul. Lets review 2Corinthians 6:14-17.

We Believers are commanded to overcome to the end, examine ourselves and put away sin. Through Moses, God had the Israelites put out leavening, “that which puffs up” from their homes to demonstrate putting sin out. The Israelites in Egypt were saved from the death angel by putting blood on their door facing. Looking forward to Jesus’ blood sacrifice for the remission of sin. The next step was then and is now, to put sin out.

(Exodus 34:18-20; “You must keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. For seven days you must eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you; do this at the appointed time of the month Abib, for in the month Abib “Nisan” you came out of Egypt. “Every firstborn of the womb belongs to Me, even every firstborn of your cattle that is a male, whether ox or sheep. Now the firstling of a donkey you may redeem with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, then break its neck. You must redeem all the firstborn of your sons. “No one will appear before Me empty-handed.”)

Jesus is the first born among His brethren; at the time, “the only begotten Son of God.” Since, people called to be believers IN Him, “are begotten children of God.” Passover is the fourteenth day of God‘s first month, the 15th and 21st day are the first and second of God‘s seven annual Sabbaths.

(Exodus 34:21; “On six days you may labor, but on the seventh day you must rest; even at the time of plowing and of harvest you are to rest.”) God’s Sabbaths are made for Believers IN, a spiritually led to love and trust God people. God is saying; “even when work is stacked up, rest and remember to whom you belong.”

(Exodus 34:22-24; “You must observe the Feast of Weeks, “Pentecost” the first fruits of the harvest of wheat – and the Feast of Ingathering “Tabernacles” at the end of the year. At three times in the year all your men must appear before the Lord God, the God of Israel. (24) For I will drive out the nations before you and enlarge your borders; no one will covet your land when you go up to appear before the Lord your God three times in the year.”)

God does not change, the principle is, “when Jesus is revealed” the next step is to repent for having lived the way that seemed right to the fleshly mind. Followers of Jesus must consider the nature of the fleshly mind and where that nature was leading.

The whole, “Word of God” is for our learning. The Sabbath lesson is, “know that God is our Provider.” The principle for obedience was then and is now; “those whose heart is stirred should take action.” See Exodus 35:21, 26 & 36:2. We Christians, (unlike the Israelites in Moses’ day) are gifted with a Godly desire to be at one with Jesus. Gifted with the spirit of loving obedience. Jesus explains through His apostle Paul.

(Romans 15:4-6; “For everything that was written in former times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and through encouragement of the scriptures we may have hope. Now may the God of endurance and comfort give you unity with one another in accordance with Christ Jesus, so that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”)

The old and new covenants are for God’s chosen people’s learning. Prophetic words through Jesus’ prophets of old and His apostles, are NOT for fleshly instinctive minds, but from God gifted revelations and to His called out people.

God’s 7th month, Tishrei 7, 5777, 10/9/16. To followers of Jesus.

People believing in various theories regarding how we came to be aren’t Christian. In name only, Christians are mockeries of God’s truth. Followers of Jesus must believe IN, as He did. There is only one truth and “God is truth.” God the Father is allowing Satan to be the god of this world’s populations until the planned return of Jesus and Satan bound. As the people of this world’s god; Satan has devised many divisionary theories that are acceptable to various sects. “A what difference does it make people” with the mentality, “we are all trying to get to the same place.” Thus Satan’s constituencies are divided, confused; at war with one another economically and through belief systems. Jesus reveals the result of demonic division on the world. Revealing Satan’s demise, to John and we Believers IN.

(Revelations 20:1-3; “Then I saw an angel descending from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the abyss and a huge chain. He seized the dragon – the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan and tied him up for a thousand years. The angel then threw him into the abyss and locked and sealed it so that he could not deceive the nations until the one thousand years were finished. (“After these things he must be released for a brief period of time.”)

Religions in general, don’t understand that Satan is serving God’s purpose, by being the deceiver people must overcome in Christ, in order to be an heir with Abraham. As Jesus resisted the devil’s temptations with The Word, so must we. Thinking themselves intellectual and god‘s to themselves, the many assume they have the ability to decide for themselves, what’s right, wrong, good and evil. That was Eve’s then Adam and Cain’s mistake, “decide for themselves.” Jesus reveals that God the Father is allowing Satan to deceive the nations until His appointed time. (People thinking themselves intellectually smarter than Satan are dead wrong.) We each need Jesus’ faith imputed to our minds in order to overcome the fleshly mind’s pulls and demonic error to the end. Jesus is the vine and we the grafted in branches.

(John 15:5-10; “I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me – and I in him – bears much fruit, because apart from Me you can accomplish nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown out like a branch, and dries up; and such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and are burned up. If you remain in Me and My Words remain in you, ask whatever you want, and it will be done for you. My Father is honored by this, that you bear much fruit and show that you are My disciples. “Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; remain in My love. If you obey My commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have obeyed My Father’s,”)

(Deceived populations are in the state of being Jesus had recorded at, Matthew 24:)

(Luke 17:24-30; “For just like the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in His day. But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. Just as it was in the days of Noah, so too it will be in the days of the Son of Man. (involved in selfish pursuits) People were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage – right up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot, people were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building; but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be the same on the day the Son of Man is revealed.”)

The Son of Man, “Jesus” is revealed to Believers IN now. Jesus will be revealed to the world when He comes back with power, binds Satan and takes control. When Jesus came the first time, the Pharisees and Sadducees were looking for the Messiah, “the prophesied heir of David, “one likened to Moses.” Judaism is still looking; not realizing that Jesus will ultimately fulfill their hopes. To people like those at Capernaum, Jesus said the following.

(Matt 11:23-30; “And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? No, you will be thrown down to Hades, “the abyss!” For if the miracles done among you had been done in Sodom, it would have continued to this day. But I tell you, it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you!” At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decides to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke on you and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and My load is not hard to carry.”)

The intellectuals in this world think to carry their own load, “be their own god.” Leaning to one’s own fleshly instinctive mind is idolatry. (“No one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decides to reveal Him.)

As Paul taught in principle, “through our fleshly instinctive nature” we make many varied decisions about many things.” For example: from the fleshly mind, people can choose nutritious foods, exercises for health, peruse satisfying vocations, choose life styles and a religion of their particular liking. (The ability to make choices, come from our Creator God, who made us in His image and likeness.) In part? God is immortal but people are not born immortal. Through our fleshly inherited from Adam nature we inherit death. Death is our inheritance from Adam. Regarding immortality, only through Jesus is immortality inherited. (see Galatians 3:29)

Satan has the whole world believing otherwise. Every worldly religious has adopted some form of believing in, “an immortality from birth doctrine.” Let’s revisit and consider the result of Satan’s lie.

(Gen 3: Eve said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit from the trees of the orchard; but concerning the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the orchard, God said, ‘You must not eat from it, and you must not touch it, or else you will die.“ The serpent said to the woman, “Surely you will not die, for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will open and you will be like divine beings who know good and evil.”)

Satan lied, called God a liar and by believing in that lie, “fleshly instinctive minded people are deceived as was Eve and have made Satan their god.” Believing, not only that they are born to live forever someplace, but that people are as divine beings, able to choose, “what is right, wrong, good and evil for themselves.” Thus demonic division among nations, religions and people. Darkness worldwide.

In our studies through Paul’s letters, the Mystery of eternal life is revealed to the called. A mystery hidden from previous ages, “until Jesus is revealed.” Paul’s letters to the churches teach this revelation to, “those to whom Jesus reveals Himself.” (Indeed His truth can only be taught by revelation.) Until God gifts us with an open mind, we tend to think we can intellectually overcome the fleshly inherited from Adam mind. Let’s look at Paul’s letter to the Galatians and all Believers.

Galatians; “inheriting immortality and overcoming darkness.”

(Galatians 1:1-5; “From Paul, an apostle (not from men, nor by human agency, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead) and all the brothers with me, to the churches of Galatia. Grace and peace to you from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins to rescue us from this present evil age according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever! Amen.”)

This same deity, Jesus, the Son of God who said, “let there be light and let US make man in OUR image” gave Himself as the sacrificial Lamb so sins against Him could be remitted. (Study John 1:1-5, Colossians 1:15-20 and Hebrews 1: & 2:) As an apostle, Paul was taught personally by Jesus and had authority to write as an ambassador, of, “Jesus Christ, the Son of God and God the Father.”

When Adam was created, God was looking forward to people being gifted spiritually with the mind of Jesus imputed. “Creating people in His image spiritually.” Giving people the power to overcome the inherited from Adam, fleshly instinctive nature and demonic doctrine. “Clothed in Jesus” “immersed in Jesus” and as branches, clinging to that Vine. Paul said it best to the Romans and all Believers IN.

(Rom 13:12-14; “The night has advanced toward dawn; the day is near. So then we must lay aside the works of darkness, and put on the weapons of Light. Let us live decently as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in discord and jealousy. Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to arouse its desires.”)

Satan has the world believing, “arousing desires is good.“ New Christians Paul taught were, for the most part, as babes in Christ, not well grounded; old practices continued to be tempting.

(Gal 1:6-10; “I am astonished that you. “Christians” are so quickly deserting the One “God the Father” who called you by the grace of Christ and are following a different gospel – (7) not that there really is another gospel, but there are some who are disturbing you and wanting to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, and now I say again, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be accursed. Am I now trying to gain the approval of people, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ!”)

“Let him be accursed?“ Greek words “(ἀνάθεμα, anaqema)” imply a dreadful curse; thus some translations like to use “condemned to hell or Hades” rather than, “let him be accursed.” Paul’s point, “judgment awaits those who distort.” The good news, “gospel” about Jesus is distorted by people wanting to lord over others and those Satan has in his clutches.

(Galatians 1:11-12; “Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. For I did not receive it or learn it from any human source; instead I received it by a revelation of Jesus Christ.”)

Indeed, every Believer, believes IN, because God revealed Himself to the mind. Christians have the power to prove, thus not fall for various doctrines that mix paganism in the name of Jesus Christ. The good news about Jesus, begins with the knowledge that He is Creator all things.

Paul’s Letters to God’s churches, supporting text & commentary, chapter 26

Friday, October 7th, 2016

God’s 7th month, Tishrei 5, 5777, 10/7/16. To followers of Jesus.

Jesus’ apostle Paul was moved from darkness to the Light, desired that his life characteristics mimic His Lord and Savior, Jesus’. There was no rebellion in Paul’s gifted spiritual nature! Having been moved from darkness to the Light, Paul practiced and loved Jesus’ Way. Loving the times and things Jesus loved and hating what Jesus hated. Paul shared his previous convictions before being called and Jesus’ revealing Himself. Paul was mindful that Jesus was working through Him and the other apostles. (Paul teaches us to be on guard against our old inherited from Adam nature, it’s fleshly desires and the devil’s imitations, selling himself as an angel of light.) (see 2 Corinthians 11:14)

Through Jesus’ gifted spirit in us, “Paul recommends that our speech be wholesome, always building up fellow Believers IN and that we not grieve the holy spirit.” (see Eph 4:29-32)

The holy spirit can be defined as, “the imputed mind of Jesus to our being.” His spirit is miraculously gifted to the called. Jesus explained to Nicodemus.

(John 3:5-8;“I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must all be born from above.’ (8) The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”)

Our mental and spiritual state of being must grow to the likeness of Jesus’. It is the power to prove that good and acceptable Way, the power to pursue pureness that emits from God. Followers of Jesus inherit the nature of compassion and forgiveness, so that, just as God in Christ forgave us we can forgive others. God the Father’s forgiveness is through God the Son, who lived an example for Believers IN.

(Eph 5:1-5; “Therefore, be imitators of God “the Son” as dearly loved children and live in love, just as Christ also loved us and gave Himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God “the Father.” But among you there must not be either sexual immorality, impurity of any kind, or greed, as these are not fitting for the Saints. Neither should there be vulgar speech, foolish talk, or coarse jesting – all of which are out of character – but rather thanksgiving. (5) For you can be confident of this one thing: that no person who is immoral, impure, or greedy, (such a person is an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.”) Having these gifted characteristics, “we know to whom we belong.”

Jesus revealed the same in His revelations to John.

(Rev 21:7-8; “The one who conquers, “overcomes to the end” will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son. (8) But to the cowards, unbelievers, detestable persons, murderers, the sexually immoral, and those who practice magic spells, idol worshipers, and all those who lie, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. That is the second death.”)

Jesus’ and His apostles were always reminding us about the deceiver and his follower’s characteristics.

Believers moved from darkness to light; from death to life.

(Eph 5:6-14; “Let nobody deceive you with empty words, for because of these things God’s wrath comes on the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers “practice their ways” with them, for you, “Christians” were at one time in darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of the light – for the fruit “the result” of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth – trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. (11) Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. For the things they do in secret are shameful even to mention. But all things being exposed by the Light “Jesus” are made evident. For everything made evident is light, and for this reason it says: “Awake, O sleeper! Rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you!”)

Paul is making a composite quotation, possibly from Isaiah 26:19, 51:17, 52:1, and 60:1. Jesus is the One that inspired His prophets, thus He and His apostles quoted from them often.

(Eph 5:15-21; “Therefore be very careful how you live “what you practice” not as unwise but as wise, taking advantage of every opportunity, because the days are evil. For this reason do not be foolish, but be wise by understanding what the Lord’s will is. And do not get drunk with wine, which is debauchery, but be filled by the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music in your hearts to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for each other in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.”)

The way we revere Jesus is to practice His righteous Way of living. We need to know that our life practices are to benefit others. That can’t be done by mixing paganism with Judaism and calling it Christian, as do worldly organizations. Denominations mixing the two are pagan, serve this world’s system of things, it’s pagan calendars and times honoring imaginary gods.

(Eph 5:22-33; “Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord, because the husband is the head of the wife as also Christ is the head of the church – He Himself being the savior of the body “church.” But as the church “people born from above” submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her, “that body of believers IN” to sanctify her by cleansing her with the washing of the water by the Word, so that He may present the church to Himself as glorious – not having a stain or wrinkle, or any such blemish, but holy and blameless. (28) In the same way husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one has ever hated his own body but he feeds it and takes care of it, just as Christ also does the church, for we are members of His body. (31) For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and will be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. (32) This mystery is great – but I am actually speaking with reference to Christ and the church. Nevertheless, each one of you must also love his own wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.”)

When Adam and Eve were created, Jesus was looking forward to this family oneness and His oneness to His church. When families and believing IN congregations, are AT ONE with Jesus, His gifted love prevails.

(Eph 6:1-4; “Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment accompanied by a promise, namely, “that it may go well with you and that you will live a long time on the earth.” (quote from Deut 5:16:) Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but raise them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.”)

Jesus and His apostles referred to the ten commandments; quoting and honoring them. Governments, fleshly adults and children need God’s rule of law for guidance. Gifted Believers IN, “Christians” “people born from above” “recipients of God’s spirit” having the mind of Jesus implanted, do not need the schoolmaster. But that doesn’t abolish the law!

We should make no apology for repeating scriptural text, review is good for wholesome study. Paul repeats the same themes using various verbiage in each letter. He taught the Galatians and we Believers IN.

(Galatians 3:19-29; “Why then was the law given? It was added because of transgressions, until the arrival of the Descendant, “Jesus” to whom the promise had been made. It was administered through angels by an intermediary, “Moses.” Now an intermediary is not for one party alone, but God is One. Is the law therefore opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that was able to give “eternal” life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. But the scripture imprisoned everything and everyone under sin so that the promise could be given – because of the faithfulness of Jesus Christ to those who believe. (23) Now before “Jesus’” faith came, “we Christians” were held in custody under the law, being kept as prisoners until the coming faith would be revealed. Thus the law had become our guardian until Christ, “is revealed individually” so that we could be declared righteous by “Jesus’” faith. But now that “Jesus’” faith has come, “to we Believers IN” we are no longer under a guardian. For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through, “Jesus’” faith. For all of you who were baptized “immersed” into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female – for all of you, “Believers” are one in Christ Jesus. (29)And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.”)

Remember; “Abraham’s believing in” made him God’s friend. Christians must respect the rule of law, governments and God’s ten commandments. (Children need to have the commandments taught to them and fleshly adults need them as guardians.) Without God’s commandments, societies become divided and war is inevitable.

(Eph 6:5-8; “Slaves, obey your human masters with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart as to Christ, not like those who do their work only when someone is watching – as people-pleasers – but as slaves of Christ doing the will of God from the heart. Obey with enthusiasm, as though serving the Lord and not people, because you know that each person, whether slave or free, if he does something good, this will be rewarded by the Lord.”)

Unconverted fleshly people from each generation will face judgment according to their deeds! Paul explained to the Romans and we Believers.

(Romans 2:2-8; “Now we know that God’s judgment is in accordance with truth against those who practice such things. And do you think, whoever you are, when you judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself, that you will escape God’s judgment? Or do you have contempt for the wealth of His kindness, forbearance, and patience, and yet do not know that God’s kindness leads you to repentance? But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourselves in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed! (6) He will reward each one according to His works: (7) eternal life to those who by perseverance in good works seek glory and honor and immortality, but wrath and anger to those who live in selfish ambition and do not obey the truth but follow unrighteousness.)

Eph 6:12; “Masters, treat your slaves the same way, giving up the use of threats, because you know that both you and they have the same master in heaven, and there is no favoritism with Him. Finally, be strengthened in the Lord and in the strength of His power. Clothe yourselves with the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.”) Paul is referring to Satan as the, “prince of the power of the air. See Eph 2:2.

(Eph 6:13-23; “For this reason, take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand your ground on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand. Stand firm therefore, by fastening the belt of truth around your waist, by putting on the breastplate of righteousness, by fitting your feet with the preparation that comes from the good news of peace, and in all of this, by taking up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. With every prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit, and to this end be alert, with all perseverance and requests for all the Saints. (19) Pray for me also, that I may be given the message when I begin to speak – that I may confidently make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may be able to speak boldly as I ought to speak.” (Each Christian is an ambassador in chains, and clothed with Jesus.)

Tychicus, my dear brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make everything known to you, so that you too may know about my circumstances, how I am doing. I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know our circumstances and that he may encourage your hearts. (23) Peace to the brothers and sisters, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all of those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.”)

May we each be gifted with a love for God and neighbor as Jesus loved.

God’s 7thh month, Tishrei 4, 5777 - 10/6/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

Heavenly Father: please draw many to Yourself, open minds and give repentance through Jesus. We pray in the nature of Jesus that our kingdom soon come. AMEN

The nature in people causes unbelievers to follow this world’s naïve fleshly minded leaders that loves to lord over them. The naive Israelites practically begged for such a leader back in Samuel’s day. Like the populations today, they wanted to choose for themselves what is right, wrong, good and evil; thus they and all unbelievers desire to be gods to themselves. The Israelites, like people today didn’t understand that doing so, “was idolatry” since we are God’s creation.

Few professing Christians understand, “the practice of circumcision was a foreshadowing of spiritual circumcision of our inner being, “heart.” Few are taught the spiritual magnification circumcision looked forward to. That prophesies regarding Jacob include followers of Jesus. Believers IN, “NOT necessarily professing Christians” ARE spiritual Israelites, “Jews.” (Galatians 3:29; “If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.”)

For their disobedience, Israelites were dispersed among unbelieving pagans. Nations they desired to mimic. Today’s spiritual Israelites, “Christians” are scattered in a pagan world. For the most part, we Christians, individually face the same challenges the Israelites did as a nation. We see people practicing this world’s system of things and prospering, thus we want to mimic. If we aren’t careful we will fall for the same deceit the Israelites did. (Study Leviticus 26:.)

After God advised the Israelites not to make or yield to idols, “to keep My Sabbath, walk in My statutes and obey My commandments” He promised blessing for obedience. These blessing parallels what is promised in Jesus’ millennial kingdom.

(Leviticus 26:3-13;“‘I will put My tabernacle in your midst and I will not abhor you. I will walk among you, and I will be your God and you will be My people. I am the Lord your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt, from being their slaves, and I broke the bars of your yoke and caused you to walk upright.”)

(God is saying; “I did it all, I caused you to walk upright, I brought you out of Egypt, “sin” I will put My tabernacle in your midst, I will walk among you, be your God and you My people.”) However, God knew how and when the Israelites would disobey, just as He knows each of us. So, He prophesied through Moses, regarding what would become of them as a nation and how He would handle things.

(Leviticus 26:39-45; “As for the ones who remain among you, they will rot away because of their iniquity in the lands of your enemies, and they will also rot away because of their ancestors’ iniquities which are with them.”)

Our parent’s sins, “their beliefs we carry forward” must be confessed. Their erroneous teaching put us where we are.

(40-42; “However, when they confess their iniquity and their ancestors’ iniquity which they committed by trespassing against Me, by which they also walked in hostility against Me (and I Myself will walk in hostility against them and bring them into the land of their enemies) and then their uncircumcised hearts become humbled and they make up for their iniquity, I will remember My covenant with Jacob and also My covenant with Isaac and also My covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.”)

Land is also being abused, so God will give it rest. After Jesus returns many previously uncircumcised hearts will become humble and repentance will be given.”

(43-45; “The land will be abandoned by them in order that it may make up for its Sabbaths while it is made desolate without them, and they will make up for their iniquity because they have rejected My regulations and have abhorred My statutes. In spite of this, however, when they are in the land of their enemies I will not reject them and abhor them to make a complete end of them, to break My covenant with them, for I am the Lord their God. I will remember for them the covenant with their ancestors whom I brought out from the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations to be their God. I am the Lord.’”) The Israelites like people rejecting Jesus, “chose darkness over light.”

Promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, stretches into Jesus’ reign on earth. Now consider the parallels in God’s old and new covenants.

(Deuteronomy 10:12-16; “Now, Israel, “you Christians” what does the Lord your God require of you except to revere Him, to obey all His commandments, to love Him, to serve Him with all your mind and being, and to keep the Lord’s commandments and statutes that I am giving you today for your own good? The heavens – indeed the highest heavens – belong to the Lord your God, as does the earth and everything in it. However, only to your ancestors did He “God” show His loving favor, and He chose you, their descendants, (remember Galatians 3:29?) from all peoples – as is apparent today. Therefore, cleanse “circumciseyour heart and stop being so stubborn!”) “Circumcise the foreskin of” references the Abrahamic covenant which prompted Moses to recall the sign of that covenant, namely physical circumcision

(Gen 17:9-14; “Just as that act signified total covenant obedience, so spiritual circumcision ‘cleansing of the heart’ signifies more internally a commitment to be pliable and obedient to the will of God.”)

(Deut 10:17-19; “For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great mighty and awesome God who is unbiased and takes no bribe, who justly treats the orphan and widow, and who loves resident foreigners, giving them food and clothing. (19) So you must love the resident foreigner because you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.”) WE Christians are as foreigners in every community in which we live.
(Deut 10:20-22; “Revere the Lord your God, serve Him, be loyal to Him and take oaths only in His name. He is the one you should praise; He is your God, the one who has done these great and awesome things for you that you have seen. (22) When your ancestors went down to Egypt, they numbered only seventy, but now the Lord your God has made you as numerous as the stars of the sky.”)

We spiritual Israelites, “Christians” in each age are few, but the sum total from each age is numerous. That sum will be resurrected or changed.

(Jeremiah 4:4; “Just as ritual circumcision cuts away the foreskin as an external symbol of dedicated covenant commitment, you must genuinely dedicate yourselves to the Lord

and get rid of everything that hinders your commitment to Me, people of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem. If you do not, My anger will blaze up like a flaming fire against you that no one will be able to extinguish. That will happen because of the evil you have done.”) From God’s perspective the whole world now fits this foregone conclusion, thus Jesus‘ words.

(Matthew 24:15-25; “So when you see the abomination of desolation – spoken about by Daniel the prophet – standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then those in Judea must flee to the mountains. The one on the roof must not come down to take anything out of his house, and the one in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing their babies in those days! (20) Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. For then there will be great suffering unlike anything that has happened from the beginning of the world until now, or ever will happen. And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved. But for the sake of the Elect those days will be cut short. Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe him. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the Elect. Remember, I have told you ahead of time.”)

Remember Jesus’ words and the apostles’ letters, are to a people, “born from above” Believers IN, “Christians.” A people converted from the old pagan practices, that gentiles were characterized by. Practices and ways of life modern professing Christians are practicing in these latter days. Practices rooted in the very life styles of the people groups, whose lands God gave to the Israelites. Like the prophet’s letter to the Israelites, Paul’s letter to the Ephesians and each called out Believer, reminds us to remember where we have been led from.

(Eph 4:17-24; “So I say this, and insist in the Lord, that you no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They “as unbelievers” are darkened in their understanding, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts. Because they are callous, they have given themselves over to indecency for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. (20) But you, “Believers IN” did not learn about Christ like this, if indeed you heard about Him and were taught in Him, just as the truth is in Jesus. You were taught with reference to your former way of life to lay aside the old man “the old nature and practices” who is being corrupted in accordance with deceitful desires, “nature” to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and to put on the new man, “Jesus’ Ways, practices and thinking” who has been created in God’s image – in righteousness and holiness that comes from truth.”)

Unbelievers practice the ways our dictionary and the holy scripture define as pagan; ways brought forward by false teachers to attract the masses. (Practices the very people, “whose lands God gave the Israelites” call Christian. What professing Christian has the will to do a little research?

(Eph 4:25-32; “Therefore, having laid aside falsehood, each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on the cause of your anger. Do not give the devil an opportunity. The one who steals must steal no longer; rather he must labor, doing good with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with the one who has need. You must let no unwholesome word come out of your mouth, but only what is beneficial for the building up of the one in need, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. You must put away every kind of bitterness, anger, wrath, quarreling, and evil, slanderous talk. Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.”)

In Jesus, we Believers IN are forgiven because IN Him and through Him, is the remission for sin, “lawlessness in God’s View.” From God’s View sin is the practice of what He defines as lawlessness, “paganism.”

Followers of Jesus must know what God says about righteous practices, that differ from worldly practices. Do we not know that our life practices are important to God?

Paul’s Letters to God’s churches, supporting text & commentary, chapter 24

Tuesday, October 4th, 2016

God’s 7thh month, Tishrei 2, 5777 - 10/4/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

As we glean from Paul’s gifted spiritual understanding, let us pray that our own minds be supernaturally opened and we be delivered from darkness to the Light, “Jesus.”

God can use people with or without their knowing. Through Isaiah, God named and used Cyrus without his knowing Him. (see Isaiah 44: & 45:) God used Paul’s imprisonment as a vehicle to get the good news about His kingdom and His Ways to kings, politicians, Israelites and non-Israelites. Knowing the nature in people, Paul was mindful that his imprisonment might cause some to disbelieve. However it’s obvious from his words that Paul was confident that God’s people in His church at Ephesus were gifted to understand the secret of Christ living in them.

(Eph 3:4-6; “When reading this, you will be able to understand my insight into this secret of Christ. Now this secret was not disclosed to people in former generations as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit, namely, that through the gospel “this good news” the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus.”)

These called Ephesians were being delivered to Jesus’ light, by revelation. Worldly religions aren’t able to grasp this mystery. Paul’s insight regarding this gifted nature changing spirit in God’s called, is gifted to Believers IN, “Christians.” We gifted should not boast, because it’s only through God’s grace and mercy that we are gifted with this comprehension. Works play no part.

(Eph 3:14-19; “For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on the earth is named. I pray that according to the wealth of His glory He, “God the Father” may grant you to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner person, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, so that, because you have been rooted and grounded in love, you may be able to comprehend with all the Saints what is the breadth, length, height and depth, and thus to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.”)

When God’s spirit is imputed to an individual’s inner person, Jesus’ gifted faith teaches His Way of love. Imputes a love for His Way, “practices He ordained” to the mind. The secret is a supernatural movement from darkness to light.

(Eph 3:20-21; “Now to Him “God the Father” who by the power that is working within us is able to do far beyond all that we ask or think, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”)

Christians are looking forward to Jesus’ return, the first resurrection of Jesus’ body of Believers, Satan being bound, a millennial Sabbath rest, a physical resurrection judging people’s previous deeds, the destruction of evil and New Jerusalem coming down. Then darkness will be put away forever!

(Eph 4:1-6; “I, therefore, the prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live “practice” worthily of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (4) There is one body and one Spirit, just as you too were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”)

Through gifted understanding, a new nature and God gifted power we persevere. Fleshly and spiritual mistakes are likely, but when we continuously seek knowledge of His will, He keeps us on His potter’s wheel. God reveals the practices that honor worldly gods, defile peoples conscious and demonstrates a love of this world’s system of things. Things God calls us turn from. Jesus taught the way and the end result of sin is death.

(John 15:5-8; “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me – and I in him – bears much fruit, because apart from Me you can accomplish nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown out like a branch, and dries up; and such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and are burned up. (7) If you remain in Me and My Words remain in you, ask whatever you want, and it will be done for you. My Father is honored by this, that you bear much fruit and show that you are My disciples.”)

Prior to God revealing Himself individually, people’s choices are limited to their instinctive inherited from Adam nature. (Dead in their trespasses.) Differing from animals, fleshly people are made in God’s image and likeness, THUS fleshly minded people can learn from error, grow mentally, discipline themselves and make moral choices. The fleshly mind contributes to many divisionary religions.

Until God individually reveals Himself, people can’t love God’s Ways, as manifested in the holy scriptures. Prior to God revealing Himself we are each, “as in Adam.” Practicing life according to the dictates of our fleshly inherited nature. Our Lord’s brother James explains.

(James 4:1-3; “Where do the conflicts and where do the quarrels among you come from? Is it not from this, from your passions “inherited instinctive nature” that battle inside you? You desire and you do not have; you murder and envy and you cannot obtain; you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask; you ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, so you can spend it on your passions.”)

We make decisions from our fleshly passions, until the Light is revealed. After “imputed with God’s spirit” “born from above” “converted” we are “made alive in Christ.” Paul explains.

(1 Corinthians 15:20 But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those, “His followers” who have fallen asleep. For since death “the result of practicing lawlessness,“ came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also came through a man. For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ, the first fruits; then when Christ comes, those who belong to Him. Then comes the end, when He “Jesus” hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when He has brought to an end all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be eliminated is death. For He “God the Father” has put everything in subjection under His, “God the Son’s” feet. But when it says “everything” has been put in subjection, it is clear that this does not include the One, “God the Father” who put everything in subjection to Him “Jesus.” And when all things are subjected to Him, “God the Father” then the Son Himself will be subjected to the One who subjected everything to Him, so that God may be all in all.”) Restudy Jesus’ identity as recorded at John 1”1-5, Colossians 1”15-20 and Hebrews 1: & 2:.

(Eph 4:7-16; “But to each one of us “we Christians” grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Therefore it says, When He ascended on high He captured captives; He gave gifts to men.” Now what is the meaning of “He ascended,” except that He also descended to the lower regions, namely, the earth? He, the very One who descended, is also the One who ascended above all the heavens, in order to fill all things. (11) It was He who gave some as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, to equip the Saints for the work of ministry, that is, to build up the body of Christ, “the church” until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God – a mature person, attaining “growing” to the measure of Christ’s full stature. So we are no longer to be children, tossed back and forth by waves and carried about by every wind of teaching, by the trickery of people who craftily carry out their deceitful schemes. But practicing the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ, who is the head. From Him the whole body “church” grows, fitted and held together through every supporting ligament. As each one does its part, the body grows in love.”)

It is a spiritual delivering, from darkness to light! Each called out Believer IN Jesus, is a member of Jesus’ church. Each Christian is individually called to prove all things, attain to the unity and over come to the end.

(Eph 4:17-18; “So I say this, and insist in the Lord, that you no longer live “practiceas the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding, being alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts.”)

For our learning, Jesus and His apostles demonstrates the Israelites darkened view of desiring to learn the way of the gentiles. People are alienated from God because of their inner desire to make personal choices, fitting their inherited from Adam nature. It is an inherited hardness, a self willed nature of the inner person. Understanding limited to the fleshly instinctive nature.

(Eph 4:19; “Because they are callous, they have given themselves over to indecency for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.”)

People either practice God’s Way or yield to our inherited instinctive nature that is nurtured by Satan. When Jesus is revealed and our understanding opened we can choose to follow His righteous practices.

(Eph 4:20-24; “But you did not learn about Christ like this, if indeed you heard about Him and were taught in Him, just as the truth is in Jesus. You were taught with reference to your former way of life to lay aside the old man “nature” who is being corrupted in accordance with deceitful desires, to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and to put on the new man “Christ” who has been created in God’s image – in righteousness and holiness that comes from truth.”)

Loving righteous practices can only come through God’s truth being revealed. To love God is to love His Way and despise this world’s system of things! Our Lord’s brother James taught it!

(James 4:4-10; “Adulterers, do you not know that friendship with the world means hostility toward God? So whoever decides to be the world’s friend makes himself God’s enemy. Or do you think the scripture means nothing when it says, “The spirit that God caused to live within us has an envious yearning”? But He gives greater grace.

When we claim to be a follower of Jesus, yet serve this world’s system of things, we are spiritual adulterers.

Paul’s Leters to God’s churches, supporting text & commentary, chapter 23

Monday, October 3rd, 2016

God’s 7thh month, Tishrei 1, 5777 - 10/3/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

God’s fourth annual Sabbath begins at sunset today, it is the first day of God’s seventh month. Trumpets, “Rosh Hashanah.” When darkness is replaced with Light, “Jesus” the would will recognize and observe God’s Sabbaths.

Holy God: give us the mind to recognize our own self righteousness and turn to Your Light, “Jesus.” Make us know that our individual gods is that which takes our time and give majority attention to. That which lead us to do what seems right to our fleshly nature. Lead us to believing IN faith in Your Word and Way, is our prayer in the holy name of Jesus. AMEN.

Speaking to fleshly Israel and for our learning, God teaches the danger of our making idols. Speaking to spiritual minded people about inherited fleshly minds, God inspired Isaiah to write.

(Isaiah 44:19; “No one thinks to himself, nor do they comprehend or understand and say to themselves: ‘I burned half of it “the wood” in the fire – yes, I baked bread over the coals; I roasted meat and ate it. With the rest of it “the wood” should I make a disgusting idol? Should I bow down to dry wood?”)

May we pray to grasp the spirituality presented here through Isaiah. From that which God gives us to sustain life, our resource, mental capacity, time and money, “after our needs are met” what do we do with what remains? That identifies our idolatrous god. Look at what is popular in society, your community and observe the many idols being worshiped.

(Isaiah 44:20; “He “the fleshly minded person” feeds on ashes; his deceived mind misleads him. He cannot rescue himself, nor does he say, ‘Is this not a false god I hold in my right hand?’ Is this not a lie in my right hand?)

This is ALSO true to New Testament principles, “no one can rescue ‘save’ themselves.” Remember, Paul taught us who New Testament heirs of Abraham are. (see Galatians 3;29). Those practicing Jesus’ Way.

(Isaiah 44:21- “Remember these things, O Jacob, O Israel, “you Believers IN - Christians” for you are My servant. I formed you to be My servant; O Israel, I will not forget you! I remove the guilt of your rebellious deeds as if they were a cloud, the guilt of your sins as if they were a cloud. Come back to Me, for I protect you.”)

God’s principle in dealing with His chosen is and has been the same through the ages. Abraham’s heirs were dead in their trespasses until God delivered them from Egypt “sin” and made a covenant of obedience with them. That old covenant looked forward to the New Covenant, God would give His chosen. Paul explained to God’s church at Ephesus and God’s Elect everywhere.

(Eph 2:1-3; “And although you “Christians” were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you formerly lived “practiced” according to this world’s present path, according to the ruler of the kingdom, “prince or the power” of the air, the ruler of the spirit that is now energizing the sons of disobedience, among whom all of us also formerly lived out our lives in the cravings of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath even as the rest.”)

The Israelites in Egypt were practicing lawlessness in God’s View until God supernaturally delivered them. Likewise, we Believers IN, “Christian” were yielding to, “practicing what seemed right to our inherited instinctive nature” until God chose to reveal Himself and deliver us from, “the kingdom of the air’s sinful practices.” (Study and meditate on these three verses, do we not see ourselves in Paul’s characterizations. Before our conversion, we were fleshly minded. We were all once as gentiles in the flesh.

(Eph 2:4-10; “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, “His chosen” even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you are saved! – and He raised us up with Him “Jesus” and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, to demonstrate in the coming ages the surpassing wealth of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (8) For by grace you are saved through “Jesus’” faith, and this is not from yourselves, (not your decision) it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast. (10) For we are His workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.”)That we may do and practice them!”

God’s procession for His purpose! To demonstrate in the coming ages! The surpassing wealth of His grace toward us in Christ Jesus! (Does this knowledge not make our hearts swell and a tear form?

God’s revealing Himself to individuals is an individual gift! Thus, no one can boast for having known our Creator’s characteristics. (May God keep us on His potter’s wheel and make us as He would have us be.) Now back to Isaiah 44: and God’s parallel declarations through him and Paul’ letters.

(Isaiah 44:24-28; “This is what the Lord, your protector, says, the One who formed you in the womb: “I am the Lord, who made everything, who alone stretched out the sky, who fashioned the earth all by Myself, who frustrates the omens of the empty talkers and humiliates the omen readers, who overturns the counsel of the wise men and makes their advice seem foolish, who fulfills the oracles of His prophetic servants and brings to pass the announcements of His messengers, who says about Jerusalem, ‘She will be inhabited,’ and about the towns of Judah, ‘They will be rebuilt, her ruins I will raise up,’ who says to the deep sea, ‘Be dry! I will dry up your sea currents,’ who commissions Cyrus, the one I appointed as shepherd to carry out all My wishes and to decree concerning Jerusalem, ‘She will be rebuilt,’ and concerning the temple, ‘It will be reconstructed.’”) God also said through Isaiah, that Cyrus did not recognize Him, yet God used Cyrus to do His bidding. Study Isaiah’s chapter 45:.

God is likely to use these same principles in this age. That is; “God may use one or more world powers to punish a people that should know Him, a people having His printed Word in many homes.”

(Eph 2:11-22; “Therefore remember that formerly you, “Gentiles in the flesh” who are called “un-circumcision” by the so-called “circumcision” that is performed on the body by human hands – that you were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. (13) But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He “Jesus” is our peace, the One who made both groups “Israelites and non-Israelites” into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility, when He nullified in His flesh the law of commandments in decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of two, thus making peace, and to reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which the hostility has been killed. (17) And He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near, so that through Him “Jesus” we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer foreigners and non-citizens, but you are fellow citizens with the Saints and members of God’s household, because you have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the Cornerstone. In Him the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”)

Note that God does it all, the choosing, the gifting and the will. People understanding and practicing His Way, shuns the world’s way. (Physical circumcision always looked forward to spiritual circumcision of the heart.) The world has Israel’s history, of God’s delivering them from Egypt and thus can have hope for redemption, now that Israel and non-Israelites are one in Christ. When non- Israelites heard and were gifted to believe IN the message of salvation they too became, “at one with the hope of Israel.” All from every tribe on earth, who are gifted to believe IN are at one with Christ and each other. All built on the same foundation and for the same purpose.

(Ephesians 3:1-4; “For this reason I, “Paul” the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles – if indeed you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you, that by revelation the divine secret was made known to me, as I wrote before briefly. (4) When reading this, you will be able to understand my insight into this secret of Christ.”) “If indeed you have heard - have understood.”

Paul did not understand these things through his own smarts nor schooling, “but by revelation!” Likewise we who are gifted to understand! It is the “divine secret” not understood by the world nor by this world’s divided so called Christian denominations.

(Eph 3:5-6 “Now this secret was not disclosed to people in former generations as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit, namely, that through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus.”)

Prophets and angels were not privileged to understand the workings of God’s spirit in people, until the revelations on that Pentecost after Jesus’ ascension. This gospel, “good news” when believed IN saves His chosen individuals, gifting them with believing IN faith through Jesus. (Jesus’ gifted faith, never our own conjured up!)

(Eph 3:7; “I became a servant of this gospel according to the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the exercise of His power.”)

God exercises His power when He opens an individual’s mind and reveals Himself. It is Jesus’ faithfulness imputed.

(Eph 3:8-12; “To me – less than the least of all the Saints – this grace was given, to proclaim to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ and to enlighten everyone about God’s secret plan – a secret that has been hidden for ages in God who has created all things. (10) The purpose of this enlightenment is that through the church the multifaceted wisdom of God should now be disclosed to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly realms. This was according to the eternal purpose that He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confident access to God because of Christ’s faithfulness.”)

Hidden for ages in God! God planned it all from the beginning! Now through Jesus’ body of believers, “His church” even God’s wisdom is disclosed in the heavenly realms. Through knowing faith revelations, Paul was gifted with boldness and confidence to teach this good news. Through knowing revealed faith, each follower of Jesus is gifted with boldness and confidence to teach this good news!

(Eph 3:13; “For this reason I ask you not to lose heart because of what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.”)

From our inherited fleshly minds, it’s easy to assume that if a person is suffering, “they aren’t serving God.” This was a characteristic of gentile thinking. For example: When Paul was bit by a snake on the island of Malta. Local people said to one another, “No doubt this man is a murderer! Although he has escaped from the sea, Justice herself has not allowed him to live!” However, Paul shook the creature off into the fire and suffered no harm. But they were expecting that he was going to swell up or suddenly drop dead. So after they had waited a long time and had seen nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and said he was a god.” Acts 28:4) It was for the cause of Jesus that Paul was imprisoned and God worked things out for His good pleasure. To the best of our understanding, Paul was killed for his believing IN, gifted faith in Jesus. We need to count the cost, when gifted with the desire to follow Jesus.

Paul’s Letters to God’s churches, supporting text & commentary, chapter 22

Sunday, October 2nd, 2016

God’s 6th month, Elul 28, 5776 - 10/2/16. To people called to be Believers IN Jesus.

Now back to Paul’s letter to the Ephesians and all Believers IN.

(Eph 1:3-14; “Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ. For He “God the Fatherchose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in His sight in love.” (HOW we appear to people isn’t important). (5) He “God the Father” did this by predestining us to adoption as His sons “children” through Jesus Christ, according to the pleasure of His will – to the praise of the glory of His grace that He has freely bestowed on us in His dearly loved Son. (It is through and about Jesus’ gifted faith in us.) (7) In Him “Jesus - the Son of God and our Creator” we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, that He lavished on us in all wisdom and insight. He did this when He revealed to us the secret of His will, according to His good pleasure that He set forth in Christ, toward the administration of the fullness of the times, to head up all things in Christ – the things in heaven and the things on earth. In Christ we, “Believers” too have been claimed as God’s own possession, since we were predestined according to the one purpose of Him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of His will so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, would be to the praise of His glory. (13) And when you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation) – when you believed IN Christ – you were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit, who is the down payment of our inheritance, until the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.”) Read these eleven verses several times.

It is not about people, it is about God’s planned purpose, His predestined counsel, His will. We are the sheep, He is the Shepherd. We are the clay, He is the Potter. We are the branches, He is the Vine. May we worship Him according to this gifted understanding.

Only those to whom God gives the desire will convert to His Way. It is from within people’s fleshly nature that they desire to please the god of their imagination. God’s Word teaches that He is allowing Satan to be the god of this world. Allowing Satan to divide and even conquer nations. Called teachers also know, their acquaintances aren’t likely to consider their teaching, because, “familiarity does breed contempt.”

Jesus encountered this human condition. His long time acquaintances were offended that He spoke with authority, saying to one another, “how did He get such wisdom and powers.”

(Matt 13:53-58; “Now when Jesus finished these parables, He moved on from there. Then He came to His hometown “Nazareth” and began to teach the people in their synagogue. (They were astonished and said, “Where did this man get such wisdom and miraculous powers? Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother named Mary? And aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? And aren’t all his sisters here with us? Where did He get all this?”) And so they took offense at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own house.” And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.”)

Kin folk, can’t fathom, one of their own being gifted with revelations from God. This principle is recognized by fleshly minded people as well. Once in a seminary class our instructor shared; “if you want to sell your congregation on something new, bring in an outsider, one unfamiliar to them who has credentials.” This indeed describes people’s inherited instinctive fleshly nature. That nature naturally looks for educational credentials. Most of this world’s population say they believe in God, not mindful of the foundation of their learning. Worldly religions can’t know God as He manifest Himself to be, because He has not yet revealed Himself to them. Each nation, group, denomination or other, conjures up gods that fit their cultivated imaginations. The Creator God of Abraham reveals one truth. He isn’t divided as are denominations. (God does not reveal Himself differently, to various religious groups, but the god of this world, does!) To those God reveals Himself to, Jesus’ apostle John wrote.

(1 John 3:1-6; “See what sort of love the Father has given to us: that we “followers of Jesus” should be called God’s children – and indeed we are! For this reason the world does not know us: because it did not know Jesus.” Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that whenever it is revealed we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. (And everyone who has this hope focused on Him purifies himself, just as Jesus is pure) Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; indeed, sin is lawlessness. And you know that Jesus was revealed to take away sins, and in Him there is no sin. Everyone who resides in Him does not “practice” sin; everyone who “practices” sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.”)

We followers of Jesus should not expect the world at large to know us, “when the world did not know Him.” The world cannot know us, “before the time!” Only spiritually fathered people, “born from above people” are God’s children! We will be like Jesus when resurrected, then we will be revealed with Him to the world. (Lawlessness, “sin” is practices God doesn’t approve of.) “Sin is lawlessness in God’s View.” So, what must people be led to repent of? (Repent for having lived the way that seemed right when we were fleshly minded!) To be saved all people must ultimately repent “turn from” having practiced the ways of the world. Ways not approved by our Creator!

Satan’s divisionary ways, “acceptable to the world are against God.” Denominational minded theologians must subscribe to, “pleasing their people.” Parishioner numbers are their goals. (Worldly churches aren’t likely to keep pastors when congregations aren’t growing.) Followers of Jesus, know, “what they turned from and know the downside of the flesh.”

(John 2:23-25; “Now while Jesus was in Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover, (not Easter!) many people believed in His name because they saw the miraculous signs He was doing. But Jesus would not entrust Himself to them, because He knew “the nature in” all people. He did not need anyone to testify about man, for He knew what was in man.”)

People hearing Jesus at the feast of Passover, “unleavened bread” believed IN, because of Jesus’ miracles and grew spiritually as they practiced overcoming. People are much like Jesus’ apostle Thomas. Thomas did not grasp Jesus’ Words of explanation about His sacrificing Himself for the sins of the world. When Thomas heard that Jesus was resurrected, his comment was, “unless I see and touch, I will not believe.” Jesus knew that ahead of time, just as He knows what you and I are thinking ahead of time. After seeing and touching, “Jesus was revealed” Thomas then had remorse.

Many will be remorseful as was Thomas, “after their physical resurrection.” Many are gifted with remorse when Jesus is revealed to His chosen in this age.

(John 20:28-29; “Thomas replied to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to Thomas, “Have you believed because you have seen Me.? Blessed are the people who have not seen and yet have believed.”)

Believing IN, must be by revelation. How so? Jesus is not speaking of a conjured up belief from people’s imaginary thinking. (Jesus is saying, “blessed are the people who are gifted with believing IN faith.) When people are gifted to believe IN, there is also a compulsion, to act on that belief. Spiritually compelled to turn, “repent” for having practiced ungodly ways and turn to God’s Way. Jesus said, “believing IN will cause us to be unpopular in societies.”

(John 12:37-43; “Although Jesus had performed so many miraculous signs before them, they still refused to believe IN Him, so that the word of Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled. He said, “Lord, who has believed our message, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been REVEALED?” For this reason they could not believe, because again Isaiah said, (40) “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they would not see with their eyes and understand with their heart, and turn to Me, and I would heal them.” Isaiah said these things because he saw Christ’s glory, and spoke about Him. Nevertheless, even among the rulers many believed IN Him, but because of the Pharisees they would not confess Jesus to be the Christ, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue. For they loved praise from men more than praise from God.”)

Followers of Jesus are thought of as being strange in every age, even before Jesus’ resurrection. True to people’s inherited fleshly instinctive nature, “many will not convert from worldly practices, because they love their particular societies.” Jesus’ apostles experienced this human condition in all the places where they took the good news. But Jesus knew that ahead of time, just as He knows what you and I are thinking ahead of time.

Scripture is written for our instruction, so that through endurance and encouragement of the scriptures we may have hope. Now may the God of endurance and comfort give you unity with one another in accordance with Christ Jesus, so that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”)

The imputation of God’s love in people, is manifested through Jesus. The old covenant looked forward to God’s spiritual covenant with His spiritual family, “His church.” Israel’s forty years wondering and being fed manna looked forward to our being spiritually fed. Looked forward to Jesus being the Vine and our being the branches. Jesus’ prayer to His Father offers revelation.

(John 17:13-19; “But now I am coming to You, “Father” and I am saying these things in the world, so they may experience My joy completed in themselves. I have given them Your Word, and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world, just as I do not belong to the world. (15) I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but that you keep them safe from the evil one, “Satan.” They “Believers IN” do not belong to the world just as I do not belong to the world. Set them apart “sanctify them” in the truth; your word is truth. Just as You sent Me into the world, so I sent them into the world. And I set Myself apart, “sanctified Myself” on their behalf, so that they too may be truly set apart, “sanctified.”)

Remember, spiritual wisdom is gifted.

(Eph 1:15-23; “For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the Saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you when I remember you in my prayers. I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you spiritual wisdom and revelation in your growing knowledge of Him, “Jesus” since the eyes of your heart have been enlightened – so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what is the wealth of His glorious inheritance in the Saints, and what is the incomparable greatness of His power toward us who believe, as displayed in the exercise of His immense strength. (20) This power He, “God the Father” exercised in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms far above every rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one “age” to come. And God put all things under Christ’s feet, and He gave Him to the church as head over all things. (23) Now the church is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.”)

The spiritual things to be gleaned here far exceeds what unbelievers can comprehend. (1) God loves His Saints. (2) God the Father and God the Son are One in purpose. (3) God gives wisdom and spiritual revelations in growing knowledge of Himself. (4) God enlightens the eyes of our being, “heart.” (5) God gives us to know the hope of His calling, our inheritance. (6) Knowledge of His incomparable greatness. (7) God gives power to us who believe IN the exercises of His immense strength. (8) God the Father exercised that power when He raised Jesus and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms. (9) All authority and dominion is given to Jesus, as head of the church, the body of Believers IN. All these things were in the foreknowledge of God the Father and God the Son, when Adam and Eve were created.
