God’s 10th month,Tevet 2, 5777 - 12/31/16. To God’s Way People

The Holy Scriptures defines Jesus’ deity as being the “Alpha and Omega, the Son of God the Father” in and through whom the Father created all things.

Gen 1:26-27;” Then God “Elohim-Jesus” said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the earth.” God created humankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them, male and female He created them.”

People are created with special spirit dimension in the brain, reasoning power, intellect, ability to learn, write, plan, create, build, control, teach, choose, worship, build character, experience emotion, express intimacy, choose to be subordinate and experience a husband and wife physical union. At death that spirit goes back to the God that gave it, but has no consciousness until God chooses to recreate “give it back.” Jesus recreated when He fed thousands from five loaves and they had more left over.

Jesus ask: (Mark 8:17-21; “Why are you arguing about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Have your hearts been hardened? Though you have eyes, don’t you see? And though you have ears, can’t you hear? Don’t you remember? When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you pick up?” They replied, “Twelve.” “When I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you pick up?” They replied “Seven.” (21) Then He said to them, “Do you still not understand?”) Why can’t the world understand?      When Jesus resurrected Lazarus back to physical life after four days in the tomb, “He recreated “gave back to him” his previous life. See John 11:40-44. Previous to Lazarus’ resurrection Jesus had explained the resurrections.

John 5:29 5:28 “Do not be amazed at this, because a time is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear His, “God the Father’s” voice and will come out – the ones who have done what is good to the resurrection resulting in life, and the ones who have done what is evil to the resurrection resulting in condemnation. I can do nothing on My own initiative. Just as I hear, I judge, and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of the One who sent Me.”) Why do major denominations prefer to believe in Jesus’ parable regarding Lazarus and the rich man?

After Jesus’ sower parable, His Lazarus and rich man parable and the wedding feast parable, His apostles ask Him why He spoke in parables.

(Matt  13:11-15; “He replied, “You, “Disciples - called out ones” have been given the opportunity to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but they “unbelievers” have not. For whoever has will be given more and will have an abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. For this reason I speak to them in parables: although they see they do not see and although they hear they do not hear nor do they understand. And concerning them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: ‘You will listen carefully yet will never understand; you will look closely yet will never comprehend. For the heart of this people has become dull; they are hard of hearing,

and they have shut their eyes, so that they would not see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’) A quote from Isaiah 6:9-10. Thus parables both conceal or reveal depending on whether a person is open to hearing what they teach.

Inherited nature

Because of Adam and Eve’s disobedience, we are sentenced to suffering, pain, and sorrow and live in our inherited from their sin nature. ’Thus all have sinned.’ We inherited a hostility toward God nature and aren’t naturally subject to His laws. From birth our nature is a mixture of good and evil.

Genesis 2:7-25; “The Lord God formed the man from the soil of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being. The Lord God planted an orchard in the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man He had formed. The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow from the soil, every tree that was pleasing to look at and good for food. (Now the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil were in the middle of the orchard.) (It’s obvious God wanted people looking to Him for the knowledge of good and evil.)

(2:10-14; “Now a river flows from Eden to water the orchard, and from there it divides into four headstreams. The name of the first is Pishon; it runs through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold. (The gold of that land is pure; pearls and lapis lazuli are also there). (13) The name of the second river is Gihon; it runs through the entire land of Cush. (14) The name of the third river is Tigris; it runs along the east side of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates.

(15-17; “The Lord God took the man and placed him in the orchard in Eden to care for it and to maintain it. Then the Lord God commanded the man, “You may freely eat fruit from every tree of the orchard, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will surely die.”

(18-23; “The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a companion for him who corresponds to him.” The Lord God formed out of the ground every living animal of the field and every bird of the air. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them, and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. So the man named all the animals, the birds of the air, and the living creatures of the field, but for Adam no companion who corresponded to him was found. (21) So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep and while he was asleep, he took part of the man’s side and closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the part He had taken out of the man, and He brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This one at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; this one will be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.”

(24-25; “That is why a man leaves his father and mother and unites with his wife, and they become a new family. The man and his wife were both naked, but they were not ashamed.”) (The earth was their bedroom!)

We associate the serpent with Satan. In this view Satan comes in the disguise of a serpent or speaks through a serpent. Later passages in the Bible indicates a satanic presence behind the serpent, (for example, Rev 12:9”

Genesis 3:1-19; “Now the serpent was more shrewd than any of the wild animals that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Is it really true that God said, ‘You must not eat from any tree of the orchard’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit from the trees of the orchard; but concerning the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the orchard God said, ‘You must not eat from it, and you must not touch it, or else you will die.’”

Satan calling God a liar is Satan’s first lie and proves we aren’t born with immortality.

(4-7; “The serpent said to the woman, “Surely you will not die, for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will open and you will be like divine beings who know good and evil.”

When the woman saw that the tree produced fruit that was good for food, was attractive to the eye, and was desirable for making one wise, she took some of its fruit and ate it. She also gave some of it to her husband who was with her, and he ate it.

     (7) Then the eyes of both of them opened, and they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

 A blame nature inherited

(8-10; “Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God moving about in the orchard at the breezy time of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the orchard. But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” The man replied, “I heard you moving about in the orchard, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.”

(11-13; “And the Lord God said, “Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?” The man said, “The woman whom you gave me, she gave me some fruit from the tree and I ate it.” So the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman replied, “The serpent tricked me, and I ate.”

(14-15; “The Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, cursed are you above all the wild beasts and all the living creatures of the field! On your belly you will crawl and dust you will eat all the days of your life. And I will put hostility between you and the woman and between your offspring and her offspring; her offspring will attack your head, and you will attack her offspring’s heel.”

(16; “To the woman He said, “I will greatly increase your labor pains; with pain you will give birth to children. You will want to control your husband, but he will dominate you.”

     (17 “But to Adam He said, “Because you obeyed your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ cursed is the ground thanks to you;

in painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, but you will eat the grain of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat food until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you will return.”) (You are DUST & to DUST you return! You are not a living soul, born to live forever some place.)

The prophecy at verse fifteen is meaningful, we can speculate about what we know with the understanding that we need revelations. A bite on the heel from a poisonous serpent is potentially fatal. The etiological nature of v. 15 is apparent. Ancient Israelites, (example, Eccl 10:8; Amos 5:19), would find the statement quite meaningful as an explanation for the hostility between snakes and humans. This ongoing struggle, when interpreted in light of v. 15, is a tangible reminder of the conflict introduced into the world by Adam and Eve’s rebellion against God.  Though supposedly prophesying Christ’s victory over Satan. “The Earliest Messianic Interpretation of Genesis 3:15,” In this allegorical approach, the woman’s offspring is initially Cain, then the whole human race, and ultimately Jesus Christ, the offspring (Heb “seed”) of the woman (see Gal 4:4). The offspring of the serpent includes the evil powers and demons of the spirit world, as well as those humans who are in the kingdom of darkness (see John 8:44).

According to the above view, the passage gives the first hint of the gospel. Satan delivers a crippling blow to the Seed of the woman “church“(Jesus). Jesus delivers a fatal blow to the Serpent, “defeating him through His death, resurrection and ascension. See 1Cor 15:55-57) Then Jesus destroys him and all evil in the judgment “See Rev 12:7-9; 20:7-10.”  Jesus’ prophecy through Joel will ultimately be fulfilled, “all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

God’s Truth versus Satan’s deceptions, chapter 6

To God’s View People.  Mark 2:27-28; “Then Jesus said to them, “The Sabbath was made for people, not people for the Sabbath. For this reason the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”

The Holy Scriptures demonstrate Jesus’ deity as being Creator, Re-Creator, Sustainer, Deliverer, Mediator and coming King of Kings; review chapter five.

Our argument “if you prefer to call it that” is only with people that claim to worship Jesus, but pay little attention to Jesus’ practices. Folks claiming Judeo Christianity but practice Gentile Evangelicalism. People that seemingly believe God is divided and there are no absolutes. You have to fit one of these categories, if you don’t observe God’s Sabbath. God gave His foreshadowing Sabbaths to keep His people from demonic deceptions.

Jesus and each apostle were most concerned about His people looking to other gods, trusting their inherited intellect and trusting people because of their credentials. Review Jesus’ Words: (Matthew 24:3-8; “As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, His disciples came to Him privately and said, “Tell us, when will these things happen and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?” (4) Jesus answered them, “Watch out that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will mislead many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. Make sure that you are not alarmed, for this must happen, but the end is still to come. For nation will rise up in arms against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these things are the beginning of birth pains.”)

In view of the above consider two facts. (1) God the Father, God the Son and His followers aren’t divided; “their Way is one.” (2) Satan and his followers are divided; “their way is many.” The ultimate consideration is life. (1) Wholesome living in our temporary fleshly bodies and (2) gifted eternal life through Jesus our Creator. (Jesus and His apostles taught “eternal life is through the Light, the Life, Jesus only.) Satan and his followers want the world believing all people are born to live forever someplace and inspire divided concepts among divided people groups.) His Sabbaths made for people foreshadow His truth.

Absolute truth is revealed through Jesus’ life, resurrection and ascension.

1Corinthians 15:1-11; “Now I want to make clear for you, brothers and sisters, the gospel that I preached to you, that you received and on which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold firmly to the message I preached to you – unless you believed in vain. For I passed on to you as of first importance what I also received – that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, (4) and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then He appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as though to one born at the wrong time, He appeared to me also. (9) For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace to me has not been in vain. In fact, I worked harder than all of them – yet not I, but the grace of God with me. Whether then it was I or they, this is the way we preach and this is the way you believed.”) Only God’s Sabbaths foreshadow Jesus’ return, peace on earth, look back and forward to His life imputed to Believers.

(1Corinthians 15:20-28; “But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man “Adam” the resurrection of the dead also came through a man “Jesus.”  For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. (23) But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruits; then when Christ comes, those who belong to Him. “)

At this point, Paul’s prophecy jumps to the millennia’s end. New Jerusalem’s coming down. (1Cor 15:24-28; “Then comes the end, when He “Jesus” hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when He has brought to an end all rule and all authority and power. (25) For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy to be eliminated is death. For He God the Father has put everything in subjection under His feet. But when it says “everything” has been put in subjection, it is clear that this does not include the One “God the Father” who put everything in subjection to Him. (28) And when all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself will be subjected to the One who subjected everything to Him, so that God may be all in all.”) God’s seventh day Sabbath foreshadows this time of peace on earth, Satan bound and knowledge of God spreading as water over the sea. God’s first three annual Sabbaths look back to Jesus’ death, burial, resurrection and partial fulfillment of His spirit gifted to Believers. His third annual Sabbath “Pentecost” foreshadows an even greater fulfillment during Jesus’ reign. God’s last four annual Sabbaths “made for people” are in God’s seventh month and within the first two thirds of the seventh month.

When speaking to His apostles, Jesus said “only His Father” knew dates, but when we see the things He spoke of taking place we should know the end of Satan’s reign is near. It’s seemingly significant that God’s seven annual Sabbath are in His first seven months of His year. The first three in about the first one hundred and twenty days of His year. Then an approximate three months before His fourth annual Sabbath. The last four in His seventh month and in close proximity to one another.

Evangelical and Judeo Christians have allowed Satan’s lies take them away from our Creator’s Ways, commandments and Sabbaths to his divisionary world system of things that revolve around evolving tradition. Jesus’ apostle Paul was inspired to write Titus.

Titus 3:8-11; “This saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on such truths, so that those who have placed their faith in God may be intent on engaging in good works. These things are good and beneficial for all people. But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, quarrels, and fights about the law, because they are useless and empty. Reject a divisive person after one or two warnings. You know that such a person is twisted by sin and is conscious of it himself.”) SO let’s not debate with those trusting their schooling and fleshly intellect. We Believers IN have His revealed truth, let’s realize, debating is only for vanity sake among unbelievers. We must rely on Jesus’ gifted faith in us and wait on His and our kingdom.

Philippians 4:4-9; “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice! Let everyone see your gentleness. The Lord is near! Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds5 in Christ Jesus. (8) Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things. And what you learned and received and heard and saw in me, do these things. And the God of peace will be with you.”) Our Creator Jesus revealed these same truths to Jeremiah and Isaiah long before.

Jeremiah 17:7-10; “My blessing is on those people who trust in Me, who put their confidence in Me. They will be like a tree planted near a stream whose roots spread out toward the water. It has nothing to fear when the heat comes. Its leaves are always green. It has no need to be concerned in a year of drought. It does not stop bearing fruit. (But not the unbelieving person.) (9-10) “The human mind is more deceitful than anything else. It is incurably bad. Who can understand it? I, the Lord, probe into people’s minds. I examine people’s hearts. I deal with each person according to how he has behaved. I give them what they deserve based on what they have done.”) To glean Jesus’ meanings through Jeremiah, we need to know His message presented through His apostles. We need to know His Sabbaths are for people and a foreshadowing of His planning. Recall Jesus’ deity as taught in chapter 5, as we consider His revelations through His prophets and know His millennial promises will be as planned.

Isaiah  44:24-28; “This is what the Lord, your Protector, says, the One who formed you in the womb: “I am the Lord, “Jesus” who made everything, who alone stretched out the sky, who fashioned the earth all by Myself, who frustrates the omens of the empty talkers and humiliates the omen readers, who overturns the counsel of the wise men and makes their advice seem foolish, who fulfills the oracles of His prophetic servants and brings to pass the announcements of His messengers, who says about Jerusalem, ‘She will be inhabited,’ and about the towns of Judah, ‘They will be rebuilt, her ruins I will raise up,’ who says to the deep sea, ‘Be dry! I will dry up your sea currents,’ (28) who commissions Cyrus, the one I appointed as shepherd to carry out all My wishes and to decree concerning Jerusalem, ‘She will be rebuilt,’ and concerning the temple, ‘It will be reconstructed.’”) Jesus had Jeremiah and Isaiah speak of His using Cyrus to fulfill His desires long before Cyrus was born.

2Chron 36:22 In the first year of the reign of King Cyrus of Persia, in fulfillment of the promise he delivered through Jeremiah, the Lord moved King Cyrus of Persia to issue a written decree throughout his kingdom. It read: “This is what King Cyrus of Persia says: ‘The Lord God of the heavens has given to me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has appointed me to build for him a temple in Jerusalem in Judah. May the Lord your God energize you who belong to His people, so you may be able to go back there!”) Read more about Cyrus in the book of Ezra. God places whom He wills over the nations. Daniel lived in the days of King Jehoiakim of Judah, when King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon advanced against Jerusalem and until the first year of Cyrus the king.

God’s Truth versus Satan’s deceptions, chapter 5

12/25/16 —

Hebrews 13:8-9; “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever! Do not be carried away by all sorts of strange teachings. For it’s good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not ritual meals, which have never benefited those who participated in them.” Seemingly, people observing the sixth and first day for their Sabbath don’t understand Jesus’ deity. The Hebrews writer most likely Paul and John reveal that Jesus was and is the Lord that delivered Israel through Moses, our Creator, Sustainer and future King of Kings.

(Hebrews 1:1-4; “After God “the Father” spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets, 2) in these last days He has spoken to us in a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He created the world. The Son is the radiance of His glory and the representation of His essence, and He sustains all things by His powerful word, and so when He, “God the Son” had accomplished cleansing for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Thus He became so far better than the angels as He has inherited a name superior to theirs.”) God the Father and God the Son are One in Spirit, purpose, planning, sustaining and God the Son “Jesus” is Mediator and soon coming King of Kings. Jesus’ apostle John writes and reveals the same to as many as The Father gives understanding to.

(John 1:1-5; “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God. The Word was with God in the beginning. All things were created by Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created. In Him was life, and the life was the light of mankind. And the Light shines on in the darkness, but the darkness has not mastered it.”) The Word “Jesus” was and is fully God! With the Father in the beginning as such the spokesperson that said, “let us make man in our image and likeness.” In Jesus was and is life! Jesus’ coming revealed God the Father’s loving characteristics and His Fathering individuals with His Holy Spirit. Paul wrote the same in his letter to the Colossian Church of God.

The Supremacy of Christ. (Colossians 1:15-20; “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, for all things in heaven and on earth were created by Him – all things, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions, whether principalities or powers – all things were created through Him and for Him. He Himself is before all things and all things are held together “sustained” in Him. He is the head of the body, the church, as well as the beginning, the firstborn from among the dead, so that He Himself may become first in all things. For God “the Father” was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in the Son and through Him “Jesus” to reconcile all things to Himself by making peace through the blood of His cross – through Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven.”)

Jesus’ apostle Paul understood that Jesus’ parables making reference to building a house on a rock etc. pertained to building on Jesus Himself. Likewise it was Jesus that delivered Israel from Egypt “sin” through His servant Moses.

To Converted to Jesus’ Way people, Paul wrote

(1Corinthians 10:1-13; “For I do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea, and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, and all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they were all drinking from the spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ. But God was not pleased with most of them, for they were cut down in the wilderness. (6) These things happened as examples for us, so that we will not crave evil things as they did. So do not be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.” And let us not be immoral, as some of them were, and twenty-three thousand died in a single day. (9) And let us not put Christ to the test, as some of them did, and were destroyed by snakes. And do not complain, as some of them did, and were killed by the destroying angel. These things happened to them as examples and were written for our instruction, on whom the ends of the ages have come. So let the one who thinks he is standing be careful that he does not fall. (13) No trial has overtaken you that are not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.”)

Paul was very familiar with the books of the law as preserved through Moses, the parallels of Israel’s baptisms, Jesus’ baptism and church membership baptism. Knew the relationship of Israel’s being led by Jesus through Moses and Jesus leading His church through His apostles; while remaining the head of His church. Thus Paul uses Israel’s hardheaded examples for our learning. But FEW people calling themselves Christian in our age apply these lessons.

Today’s Christendom now celebrates more pagan times than the Israelites were delivered from. Christmas a prime example.

Satan’s divisionary input

The idea of celebrating Christmas grew from winter equinox celebrations and people celebrating martyrs’ days. Setting aside an anniversary of a martyr’s death, usually at the site of death or the martyr’s tomb. At first these festivals were local.

Not until the Fourth Century did the idea of celebrating occasions in the earthly life of Jesus become popular. Much due to the evolving traditions in the Church at Jerusalem. Special celebrations were devised on the actual or supposed sites of the events of the life of Christ lent themselves particularly well to the celebration of historical remembrances. Interest developed regarding where Jesus was born, grew up, where He performed miracles, etc. None of which His apostles celebrated.

It is to the gentile Church of Rome, however, that we must give the credit for the origins of the feast of the birth of Christ. But on what was this feast based? Why was December 25th chosen as the day for its celebration in the west? The winter equinox had the most appeal to non-Israelites.

True to his characteristics Satan divided these gentile “believers that.” The Orthodox Christmas is likewise a national holiday in Russia, banks and public offices are closed on January 7. If their Christmas Day falls on a weekend, a non-labor day is the following Monday. Sometimes more time is declared. Russian Orthodox church uses the old ‘Julian’ calendar for religious celebration days, but also wanted to appeal to the sun worshiping pagans at their winter equinox celebrations.

Historically, after Jesus’ apostles died and the apostasy Jesus’ brother, “Jude” wrote about gained ground, for the next three centuries the Christian Church only knew of one great festival “Pentecost.” To them, Pentecost meant the complete celebration of the Passover, the cross, Jesus’ resurrection and ascension; to the 50th day commemorating, the descent of the Holy Spirit. (Pentecost means “to count 50” and the count begins from the Wave Sheaf seventh day Sabbath in the week of Unleavened Bread, thus 50 days out always falls on the first day of the week. So apparently the first day became to be considered a feast day gathering to proclaim the mighty redemption brought by the death and resurrection of Christ. A festival of redemption was then realized weekly by the Holy Eucharist “symbolic bread and wine - Lord’s supper” eaten and drunk during the ceremony of Communion. (Symbolizing the presence of the victorious Risen Christ in the midst of the assembly. As was celebrated yearly in the great Paschal “resurrection” Feast” after Jesus’ three nights and three days in the tomb.

We see that in this ancient period the interest and emphasis was not at all on the historical facts concerning what happened to Jesus but what happened to those who join His Church. How the new believer dies and rises to new life in Christ through baptism and how in the Eucharist “communion with bread & wine” thinks believers participates directly in the sacrifice of Christ.

Christmas Day in Russia attempts to mark the birth of Jesus Christ in the Christian Orthodox tradition. Although banned during the Soviet times, Christmas is now regaining its popularity and religious meaning. The first star signals the start of their Christmas dinner. For many secular Russians, their Christmas Day is a family holiday, but not as important as New Year’s Day. Many visit friends and relatives, as well as give and receive presents on January 7. Prior to their Christmas Day is Christmas Eve, which marks the start of an old Slavic holiday, Svyatki, in which young women used a mirror and candles to invoke the image of their future husbands. Like going to church, fortune-telling on Christmas Eve is again becoming popular in Russia.

Study the Jesus inspired book, Jude wrote. Our Lord’s brothers, James and Jude, became His followers after His resurrection and ascension. Jude particularly saw the apostate coming. The apostate amounting to a renouncement of gifted “believing IN” to a “methodology of choosing a believe that.” Believers IN is gifted to know God gives the desire, calls, chooses and puts people in His family. Spiritually believing IN is to be imputed with God’s spirit, “fathered by God.” Thus the gifted knowledge that, “we can no more choose to be fathered by God than we could have chosen our fleshly parents.” To believe otherwise is the foundation of the apostate Jude saw coming.

God’s Planning versus Satan’s deceptions, chapter 4

Friday, December 23rd, 2016

Almighty God: make us thankful for Your holiness, righteousness, promises and planning. Give we truth seekers minds and desires to

know You. Reveal Your characteristics and holy way, too many as You reveal and lead. Replace our fleshly inherited nature with the

nature of Jesus that we may genuinely pray in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

Jesus’ second coming will be the end of this age’s demonic system of things, not the end of this world. People need to realize that it isn’t in mankind’s fleshly nature to rule himself peacefully and righteously for long periods of time. Our inherited from Adam nature has all the pitfalls leading to disagreements, confusion and war. That inherited nature plays into Satan’s divisionary deceptive agenda. Thus Jesus says; “we must be born again” to enter The Kingdom of God

As most of the so called civilized world looks to Christmas seasons and talk of peace on earth, we followers of Jesus know it’s a demonic ploy. While worldly knowledge is increased at many levels, the increase of radicalism within self serving individuals, people groups, religions and nations are on the rise. Even among people groups that have the printed Holy Scripture in most homes; knowledge of God’s Way has been replaced with the same demonic practices the pagans were doing before God removed some from their occupied lands and gave those lands over to the Israelites. NOT because of Israelite goodness or righteousness, BUT because of God’s promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Today’s Evangelicals “cultures using Jesus’ name” aren’t necessarily Christian. Probably ninety nine percent are denominationalist practicing paganism in the guise of Christianity, rather than practicing “what the Holy Scriptures define as Christian “ Satan has the world referring to people using Jesus’ name as Christians. The Holy Scriptures define a Christian as “a follower of Jesus” and more particularly “one born from above.” Meaning “one whose nature God has miraculously changed.” These converted to God’s Way people, “He puts in His Kingdom Family - His church.” For the most part, today’s denominationalist should be called “pagan Evangelicals” rather than “Judeo Christians” because their practices aren‘t Christ like. Most of today’s denominationalist has the demonic mentality that thinks, “there are no absolutes, and all people are trying to go to the same heaven.”

God’s Way is absolute and His Way is one. Jesus and His apostles were persecuted for teaching absolutes without wavering and all but John were apparently killed. Still in this age, people teaching absolutes are slandered big time. It is naturally popular to be yielded to this world’s system of things rather than to practice God’s Way. For years we have been teaching Jesus’ truth regarding beliefs; the difference in “believing IN” opposed to “believing that.” The believing IN way is absolute; the believing that way allows division.

Matthew 5:17-18; “Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have not come to abolish these things but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth pass away not the smallest letter or stroke of a letter will pass from the law until everything takes place.” Likewise Jesus did not come to bring peace in this age.

Matthew 10:34-39; “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. “Whoever loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And whoever does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life because of Me will find it.” (Jesus’ apostles considered it an honor to suffer and even die for teaching Jesus.)

God the Father and God the Son’s characteristic are “one in purpose” and their way optimizes love. Once converted and a recipient of God’s spiritual nature change, “born from above” He keeps us close.

Matthew 18:10-14; “See that you do not disdain one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of My Father in heaven. What do you think? If someone owns a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go look for the one that went astray? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he will rejoice more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. In the same way, your Father in heaven is not willing that one of these little ones be lost.”

Satan manifests himself as an angel of light. Speaking of people teaching false doctrine Jesus’ apostle Paul penned; “For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will correspond to their actions.” 2Corinthians 11:13-15) Jesus Himself taught likewise with no parable and privately.

(Matthew 24:3-8; “As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, His disciples came to Him privately and said, “Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?” Jesus answered them, “Watch out that no one misleads you. All these things are the beginning of birth pains.” Regardless the pain, Jesus tells us to overcome our inherited nature and demonic deception to THE END.

God Allow His witnesses use of His Spirit Power

Followers of Jesus are looking for the prophesied events His annual Sabbaths foreshadow. One of these is the Good News message two witnesses will deliver.

Revelations 11:1- “Then a measuring rod like a staff was given to me, “John” and I was told, “Get up and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and the ones who worship there. But do not measure the outer courtyard of the temple; leave it out, because it has been given to the Gentiles, and they will trample on the holy city for forty-two months. And I will grant My two witnesses authority to prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth. (These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands that stand before the Lord of the earth.) If anyone wants to harm them, fire comes out of their mouths and completely consumes their enemies. If anyone wants to harm them, they must be killed this way. These two have the power to close up the sky so that it does not rain during the time they are prophesying. They have power to turn the waters to blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague whenever they want. (7) When they have completed their testimony, the beast that comes up from the abyss will make war on them and conquer them and kill them. Their corpses will lie in the street of the great city that is symbolically called Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was also crucified. For three and a half days those from every people, tribe, nation, and language will look at their corpses, because they will not permit them to be placed in a tomb.

And those who live on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate, even sending gifts to each other, because these two prophets had tormented those who live on the earth. (11) But after three and a half days a breath of life from God entered them, and they stood on their feet, and tremendous fear seized those who were watching them. Then they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them: “Come up here!” So the two prophets “witnesses” went up to heaven in a cloud while their enemies stared at them. Just then a major earthquake took place and a tenth of the city “Jerusalem” collapsed; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven. (14) The second woe has come and gone; the third is coming quickly.” This is when and how Jesus’ Good News will go to all nations before His return. Let’s wait on Jesus’ revelations, separated from falsehood and pray He shorten the time.

Matthew 24:15-28; “So when you see the abomination of desolation – spoken about by Daniel the prophet – standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), then those in Judea must flee to the mountains. The one on the roof must not come down to take anything out of his house and the one in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing their babies in those days! Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. For then there will be great suffering unlike anything that has happened from the beginning of the world until now, or ever will happen. And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved. But for the sake of the ELECT those days will be cut short. (23) Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe him. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the ELECT. Remember I have told you ahead of time. So then, if someone says to you, ‘Look, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe him. For just like the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so the coming of the Son of Man will be. Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.”

Peace will not come about on earth through mankind’s doing, but in spite of people. As God has planned, so it will be.

God’s Planning versus Satan’s deceptions, chapter 3

Thursday, December 22nd, 2016

It is difficult to put doctrinal error in a sequence of importance. The triune God theory may be the second. A little history study shows us that worldly religions evolves with tradition and it’s demonic inspired traditions have caused some Bible translators to assume certain things. “A triune God” being one.

The trinity teaching didn’t originate until the last half of the second century; about a hundred years after the New Testament had been written and canonized. About 1230 years later the English translation of the Christian Bible for the Church of England was completed in 1611. Also known as the Authorized Version (AV) or the King James Bible (KJB). .

The Triune doctrine was officially adopted at the Council of Constantinople in 381 AD. A fourth century spurious, (meaning “not genuine: different from what it is claimed to be, not authentic, or not valid or well-founded”) addition was made to 1John 5:7. The KJV reads: “in heaven, the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost; and three are one..” The modern Net Bible translation reads: “For there are three that testify, the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three are in agreement.”

No respectable Greek (manuscript) contains “and three are one.” which appearing first in the late 4th century Latin text and entered the “Vulgate New Testament of Erasmus.” (His KJV p1038) Numerous Bible commentaries agree, most modern translations omit the passage, “and three are one.”

(Net Bible translation reads: 1John 5:6-8; “Jesus Christ is the one who came by water and blood – not by the water only, but by the water and the blood.” And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify, the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three are in agreement.)

(The Faithful Version translation reads: 1John 5:6-8; “This is He who by water and blood - Jesus the Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood, and it is the Spirit that bears witness because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that bear witness on the earth: the spirit: and the water, and the blood and these three witness into the one truth.”

Theological History

I do not pretend to be able to read Greek. I look at several translations and compare scripture to scripture prayerfully

The infamous Comma Johanneum, “theological formula” has been known in the English-speaking world through the King James translation. However, the evidence – both external and internal – is decidedly against its authenticity. For a detailed discussion, see Net Bible - John 5:7 - TCGNT 647-49. (Google TCGNT 647-49) Our discussion will briefly address the external evidence. This longer reading is found only in nine late manuscripts, four of which have the words in a marginal note. Most of these manuscripts (221 2318 [18th century] {2473 [dated 1634]} and [with minor variations] 61 88 429 629 636 918) originate from the 16th century; the earliest manuscript, codex 221 (10th century) includes the reading in a marginal note, added sometime after the original composition. The oldest manuscript with the Comma in its text is from the 14th century (629), but the wording here departs from all the other manuscripts in several places. The next oldest manuscripts on behalf of the Comma, 88 (12th century) 429 (14th) 636 (15th), also have the reading only as a marginal note (v.l.). The remaining manuscripts are from the 16th to 18th centuries. Thus, there is no sure evidence of this KJV reading in any Greek manuscript until the 14th century (629), and that manuscript deviates from all others in its wording; the wording that matches what is found in the translation was apparently composed after Erasmus’ Greek translation was published in 1516. Indeed, the Comma appears in no Greek witness of any kind (either manuscript, patristic, or Greek translation of some other version) until a.d. 1215 (in a Greek translation of the Acts of the Lateran Council, a work originally written in Latin). This is all the more significant since many a Greek Father would have loved such a reading, for it so succinctly affirms the doctrine of the Trinity. The reading seems to have arisen in a 4th century Latin homily in which the text was allegorized to refer to members of the Trinity. From there, it made its way into copies of the Latin Vulgate, the text used by the Roman Catholic Church. The Trinitarian formula (known as the Comma Johanneum) made its way into the third edition of Erasmus’ Greek translation (1522) because of pressure from the Catholic Church. After his first edition appeared, there arose such a furor over the absence of the Comma that Erasmus needed to defend himself. He argued that he did not put in the Comma because he found no Greek mss that included it. Once one was produced (codex 61, written in ca. 1520), Erasmus apparently felt obliged to include the reading. He became aware of this manuscript sometime between May of 1520 and September of 1521. In his annotations to his third edition he does not protest the rendering now in his text, as though it were made to order; but he does defend himself from the charge of indolence, noting that he had taken care to find whatever manuscripts he could for the production of his text. In the final analysis, Erasmus probably altered the text because of politico-theological-economic concerns: He did not want his reputation ruined, nor his Novum Instrumentum to go unsold. Modern advocates of the translation and KJV generally argue for the inclusion of the Comma Johanneum on the basis of heretical motivation by scribes who did not include it. But these same scribes elsewhere include thoroughly orthodox readings – even in places where the Translation/Byzantine manuscripts lack them. Further, these advocates argue theologically from the position of divine preservation: Since this verse is in the translation, it must be original. (Of course, this approach is circular, presupposing as it does that the translation = the original text.) In reality, the issue is history, not heresy: How can one argue that the Comma Johanneum goes back to the original text yet does not appear until the 14th century in any Greek manuscripts (and that form is significantly different from what is printed in the translation; the wording of the translation is not found in any Greek manuscript until the 16th century)? Such a stance does not do justice to the gospel: Faith must be rooted in history. Significantly, the German translation of Luther was based on Erasmus’ second edition (1519) and lacked the Comma. But the KJV translators, basing their work principally on Theodore Beza’s 10th edition of the Greek New Testament (1598), a work which itself was fundamentally based on Erasmus’ third and later editions (and Stephanus’ editions), popularized the Comma for the English-speaking world. Thus, the Comma Johanneum has been a battleground for English-speaking Christians more than for others.

 Bible Proofs

     1) The word “trinity” in not in the bible.  (2) The Holy Spirit was “poured out” on Pentecost (acts 2:18 and was “poured out” upon Gentiles (Acts 10:45) There is no indication that God, an angel or a person was ever “poured out.”

Acts 2:2: “and suddenly there came from heaven a sound like the rushing of a powerful wind, and filled the whole house..” No appearing of Jesus or an angel ever filled a house. Acts isn’t the only place the spirit is likened to the wind. Explaining to Nicodemus about being born again, Jesus is quoted as saying; (John 3:7-8; “Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must all be born from above. The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

At Acts 2, Doctor Luke describes the Holy Spirit’s appearance as, “cloven tongues.” Again, no individual angle or deity ever appeared as tongues of fire. (Acts 2:3)

Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit. (Matt 1:18-20) If the Holy Spirit were a person that would make the Holy Spirit Christ’s father.

The Holy Spirit is the power God uses to accomplish His work. Sometimes the scripture does personify a thing or quality as if it were a person: “Wisdom cries outside; she utters her voice in the streets.” Proverbs 2:3-4; The use of “she” and “her” does not make wisdom or understanding a person. Nor can the use of “he” in the KJV make the Holy Spirit a person. The Net Bible translation of this Proverbs text translates the KJV, “she” as “it.” Verses 3-5, “indeed, if you call out for discernment – raise your voice for understanding – if you seek it like silver, and search for it like hidden treasure, then you will understand how to fear the Lord, and you will discover knowledge about God.

Christ said, “I and My father are one.” (John 10:30, 17:21-22) Never mentioning the Holy Spirit as being one with Him and His father. God ‘s ultimate purpose for creating mankind was to add many to His Family.

Daniel 7:13; “the Son of man… came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him” Daniel a loyal servant of God spoke of only two members of the Godhead. AND Psalms 110:1; “the Lord said to my lord, Sit at My right hand …’ David was a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22) spoke of only two members of the Godhead.

In most of Paul’s letters he gave salutations from God the Father and Christ - never including the Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit were a person and a member of a triune Godhead, Paul would have sent greetings from the Holy Spirit as well. In three of Paul’s letters, God the Father and Christ are referred to as persons - but the Holy Spirit is not referred to as such. (See Colossians 1:3, 1Thess 1:1, & Hebrews 1:1-2) Also study Colossians 1:15-20, John 1:1-5 and Hebrews 1: & 2: for truth regarding Jesus’ deity.

Matthew 28:19; reads; Go… “Baptizing them into the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” The use of the Holy Spirit here in no way makes it a person.

In John’s vision of the throne of God, (Rev 4:5) Jesus reveals only the Father and the Son. John did not see a third person designated as “God, the Holy Spirit.”

Worldly religions teach the doctrine of the trinity, “God teaches the family.” God is an open family - not a closed triangular trinity. Converted begotten believers IN can literally be born into the family of God at the first resurrection.

(Psalms 82:6-8; “I thought; ‘you are gods; all of you are sons of the Most High.’ Yet you will die like mortals; you will fall like all the other rulers.” Rise up, O God, and execute judgment on the earth! For You own all the nations.”

A common form of rabbinic argument. The reason the Old Testament judges could be called gods is because they were vehicles of the word of God But granting that premise, Jesus deserves much more than they to be called God. He is the Word incarnate, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world to save the world (John 10:36). In light of the prologue to the Gospel of John, it seems this interpretation would have been most natural for the author. If it is permissible to call men “gods” because they were the vehicles of the Word of God, how much more permissible is it to use the word “God” of Him who is the Word of God? Thus John records Jesus at John 10:34.

(John 10:34-39; Jesus answered, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, you are gods’? If those people to whom the word of God came were called ‘gods’ (and the scripture cannot be broken), do you say about the One whom the Father set apart and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’? If I do not perform the deeds of My Father, do not believe Me. But if I do them, even if you do not believe Me, believe the deeds, so that you may come to know and understand that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me.” Then they attempted again to seize Him, but He escaped their clutches.”

Believers IN, friends of Jesus

John 15:14-17; “You are My friends if you do what I command you. I no longer call you slaves, because the slave does not understand what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because I have revealed to you everything I heard from my Father. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that remains, so that whatever you ask the Father in My name “nature” He will give you. This I command you – to love one another.”

The World’s Hatred

John 15:18 “If the world hates you, be aware that it hated Me first. If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you do not belong to the world, but I chose you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you. Remember what I told you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you.”

God’s Planning versus Satan’s deceptions, chapter 2

Tuesday, December 20th, 2016

Israelites always claimed to be Abraham’s children. When attempting to kill Jesus He told them “you are not doing the deeds of Abraham but your father the devil.”

(John 8:41-51; “You people are doing the deeds of your father.” Then they said to Jesus, “We were not born as a result of immorality! We have only one Father, God himself.” Jesus replied, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come from God and am now here. I have not come on my own initiative, but He sent Me. Why don’t you understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot accept My teaching. You people are from your father the devil, and you want to do what your father desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies. (45) But because I am telling you the truth, you do not believe Me. Who among you can prove Me guilty of any sin? If I am telling you the truth, why don’t you believe me? (47) The one who belongs to God listens and responds to God’s words. You don’t listen and respond, because you don’t belong to God.”

The Judeans replied, “Aren’t we correct in saying that you are a Samaritan and are possessed by a demon?” Jesus answered, “I am not possessed by a demon, but I honor My Father – and yet you dishonor Me. (50) I am not trying to get praise for Myself. There is one who demands it and He also judges. I tell you the solemn truth, if anyone obeys My teaching, he will never see death.”) IMMORALITY ONLY THROUGH JESUS!

All Preplanned

Isaiah 14:24; “The Lord who commands armies makes this solemn vow: “Be sure of this: Just as I have intended, so it will be; just as I have planned, it will happen.”

God is purposely allowing Satan to be the god of this world until his set time. He will then be bound for one thousand years; then released for a season before final judgment. As god of this age, Satan has the whole world deceived, manifesting himself as an angel of light. See 2Corinthians 11:14. Manifesting himself as an angel of light Satan has sold the whole world on various forms of their being born immortal. His first lie is repeated in divisionary ways by every worldly religion. Satan’s immortality lie caused the nations God drove out before the Israelites to offer their children as sacrifice to imaginary gods. See 2Kings 16:4, 23:10-13, 17:31-35, 23:10-14 & Ezek 16:21-28. AND Satan’s lie is the primary causes for many preachers teaching that all babies that die go to heaven!

God is love and The Light

Even though God’s created people believed Satan rather than Him, did these and more abominations, He sent His only Son “Creator Jesus” to be the prophesied sacrificial Lamb to die for the remission of this world’s sins.

(John 3:16-21; “For this is the way God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes IN Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. The one who believes IN Him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed IN the name of the one and only Son of God. (19) Now this is the basis for judging: that the LIGHT has come into the world and people loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil deeds hates the light and does not come to the light, so that their deeds will not be exposed. But the one who practices the truth comes to the light, so that it may be plainly evident that his deeds have been done in God.”) Practicing THE TRUTH is the act of coming to THE LIGHT.

Since his rebellion Satan’s agenda has been to thwart God’s planned increase of His family. God the Father and God the Son as “one in purpose” created man in His image and likeness from the love purpose of giving immortality through God the Son, “Jesus.”

(Genesis 1:26-27; “Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth and over all the creatures that move on the earth.” God created humankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them, male and female He created them.”)

After Jesus’ disciples return from a missionary trip and told of demons responding to them, Jesus told them of His seeing Satan fall.

(Luke 10:17-20; “Then the seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your name!” So He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Look, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions and on the full force of the enemy and nothing will hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names stand written in heaven.”) See the past tense?

 Satan’s purpose & agenda

Satan had rebelled long before. Jesus reveals Satan’s characteristics, gives a lengthily overview of his agenda to John.

(Revelations 12:7-18 “Then war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, the dragon and his angels fought back. But the dragon was not strong enough to prevail, so there was no longer any place left in heaven for him and his angels. So that huge dragon – the ancient serpent, the one called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world – was thrown down to the earth, and his angels along with him.

(10-11; “Then I “John” heard a loud voice in heaven saying, “The salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the ruling authority of His Christ have now come, because the accuser of our brothers and sisters, the one who accuses them day and night before our God, has been thrown down. But they “followers of Jesus” overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony and they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die.”

(12-18’ Therefore you heavens rejoice, and all who reside in them! But woe to the earth and the sea because the devil has come down to you! He is filled with terrible anger,

for he knows that he only has a little time!” Now when the dragon realized that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. But the woman was given the two wings of a giant eagle so that she could fly out into the wilderness, to the place God prepared for her, where she is taken care of – away from the presence of the serpent – for a time, times, and half a time. Then the serpent spouted water like a river out of his mouth after the woman in an attempt to sweep her away by a flood, but the earth came to her rescue; the ground opened up and swallowed the river that the dragon had spewed from his mouth. So the dragon became enraged at the woman and went away to make war on the rest of her children, those who keep God’s commandments and hold to the testimony about Jesus. And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore.”) Note THE METAFORES used “woman - Mary gave birth to Jesus and as such, Jesus being head of His church and His church characterizing His bride. FLOOD/RIVER - ARMY. We need to understand that Jesus’ revelations to John aren’t in chronological order. Chapter 13 backs up to prophecy relating to a man’s attempt at a one world order. But our subject is “demonic deceptions versus God’s planning.”

First lie’s harm

Satan’s first lie has caused divisions amounting to; coercing people to live animalistic life styles that yield to fleshly desires, trust fleshly intellect, worship imaginary gods that include God’s creation: all of which is idolatry. When people believe they are born to live forever someplace, that idolatry takes many avenues, all leading to eternal death. (That first lie is recorded at Genesis 3:) (Proverbs 14:12; “There is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way that leads to death.)

It seemed right to Adam and Eve to partake of what God had forbidden if the result could satisfy their fleshly desire. A sacrifice of his choosing seemed right to Cain; after all he worked hard gardening.

It seemed okay to King Jeroboam to alter the people’s loyalty from the Davidic dynasty. After all he assumed, it’s to much trouble for the people to go to Jerusalem, so he set up other places, built temples and inaugurated a festival on the fifteenth day of the eighth month rather than God’s set aside festival on the fifteenth day of the seventh month.  See 1Kings 12:25-31. (1Kings 13:34; “This sin caused Jeroboam’s dynasty to come to an end and to be destroyed from the face of the earth.”)

Satan is about the business of dividing nations, people groups and families. He is the demon culprit that makes it seem okay to people doing according to what seems right. It seemed okay to the people organizing a universal hieratical church, to mix pagan cultures with Judaism, call it Christian, change God’s seventh day Sabbath and ignore the binding foreshadowing benefits of God’s seven annual Sabbaths.

All people since Adam, who trust in themselves and self serving denominations, thinking God’s Way is divisionary, play into Satan’s demonic agenda. (Exodus 20:1-3; “God spoke all these words: “I, the Lord, am your God, who brought you from the land of Egypt, from the house of slavery. “You shall have no other gods before Me.”

God’s Planning versus Satan’s deceptions

Chapter 1

How can God be merciful, forgive, convert and use a person like me? How is it that God chooses individuals like Jacob above his brother Esau when neither had yet lived?

When Isaac’s wife Rebekah was pregnant the twins struggled inside her and she thought to herself, “If it is going to be like this, I’m not so sure I want to be pregnant!” So she asked the Lord, and the Lord said to her, “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples will be separated from within you. One people will be stronger than the other,

and the older will serve the younger.” See Genesis 25: When Isaac was sixty years old Esau and Jacob were born. Esau became a skilled hunter and Jacob worked the field. Jacob was an even tempered man, lived in tents, but Isaac loved Esau in part because he had a taste for his fresh game.

This name Jacob may have been chosen because of the immediate association with the incident of grabbing the heel of Esau at birth. After receiving such an oracle, the parents would have preserved in memory almost every detail of the unusual births. Jacob was the weaker of the two brother and a deceiver, taking advantage of Esau. However the Lord chose Jacob, changed his name to Israel; “meaning God fights” or perhaps “God fights for.”

Esau married Judith the daughter of the Hittite “Beeri” and they caused Isaac and Rebekah great anxiety. When Isaac intended to bless Esau, Rebekah overheard and plotted with Jacob to deceive Isaac and Esau. Isaac gave the blessing to Jacob that he intended for Esau. After the trickery Esau said to Isaac, “don’t you have a blessing for me?” (Genesis 27:39-40; “So his father Isaac said to him, “Indeed, your home will be

away from the richness of the earth, and away from the dew of the sky above. You will live by your sword but you will serve your brother. When you grow restless, you will tear off his yoke from your neck.” So Esau hated Jacob.”) Rebekah said to Isaac “I am deeply depressed because of these daughters of Heth. If Jacob were to marry one of these I would want to die!” Isaac said to Jacob “You must not marry a Canaanite woman and sent him to relatives. See Genesis 28:

Jacob’s dream and name change

Jacob left Beer Sheba and set out for Haran. He reached a certain place where he decided to camp because the sun had gone down. He took one of the stones and placed it near his head. Then he fell asleep in that place and had a dream. He saw a stairway erected on the earth with its top reaching to the heavens. The angels of God were going up and coming down it and the Lord stood at its top. He said, “I am the Lord, the God of your grandfather Abraham and the God of your father Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the ground you are lying on. Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west, east, north, and south. All the families of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using your name and that of your descendants. I am with you! I will protect you wherever you go and will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I promised you!”

Then Jacob woke up and thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, but I did not realize it!” Being afraid he thought, “What an awesome place this is! This is nothing else than the house of God! This is the gate of heaven!”

Deceiving Jacob’s gets deceived

Jacob loved Rachel and was promised her in marriage after seven years service to Laban. But Laban gave him Leah, saying it was the family custom that the older be married first. Jacob worked another seven years for Rachel. Leah and Rachel’s jealously over timely pregnancies caused each to give Jacob their servant maids to wife. Between them, they gave Jacob twelve sons, which became the twelve tribes of Israel. ALL in God’s plan! His choosing is His prerogatives and so much so that when New Jerusalem comes down it’s twelve gates are named for these twelve tribes of Israel.

After being blessed with much, Jacob left Laban with his family and headed back to his home land. In route an angel or perhaps Jesus Himself wrestled with Jacob. (Gen 32:26-30; “Then the man said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking.” “I will not let you go,” Jacob replied, “unless you bless me.” The man asked him, “What is your name?” He answered, “Jacob.” “No longer will your name be Jacob” the man told him, “but Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have prevailed.” Then Jacob asked, “Please tell me your name.” “Why do you ask my name?” the man replied. Then he blessed Jacob there. So Jacob named the place Peniel, explaining, “Certainly I have seen God face to face and have survived.”)

The name Israel is a common construction using verb with a theophoric  element. (אֵל, ’el) that usually indicates the subject of the verb. Here it means “God fights.” This name will replace the name Jacob; it will be both a promise and a call for faith. In essence, the Lord was saying that Jacob would have victory and receive the promises because God would fight for him. Christian “followers of Jesus” are spiritual Israelites and heirs with Abraham. Jesus’ apostle Paul taught it.

Galatians 3:23-29; “Now before “Jesus’” faith came we were held in custody under the law, being kept as prisoners until the coming faith would be revealed. Thus the law had become our guardian until Christ, so that we could be declared righteous by faith. 3:25 But now that “Jesus’” faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female – for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.”) Meditate on that promise to Jacob whose name was changed to Israel, again.

It is through God’s mercy that people are chosen. We are descendents of Adam and are born with a lawlessness toward God nature inherited from Adam. Adam was told that if he disobeyed he would die. Even then God had a blood sacrifice plan. A plan whereby His chosen could become heirs with Abraham. We have the revelation of Abel’s blood still speaking. Adam, Cain and Abel were told to make timely blood sacrifices to God. Abel obeyed while Cain decided for himself that God should be pleased with a sacrifice of his choosing. Thus Jesus complemented Abel. See Matthew 23:35. Jesus revealed these things to His apostles and Paul in particularly reveals them to followers of Jesus.

Ephesians 2:1-10; “And although you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you formerly lived according to this world’s present path, according to the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the ruler of the spirit that is now energizing the sons of disobedience, among whom all of us also formerly lived out our lives in the cravings of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath even as the rest, “of humanity - my words.”

Eph 2:4-10; “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you are saved! – and He raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, to demonstrate in the coming ages the surpassing wealth of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you are saved through “Jesus’” faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are His workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.”)    Now, just as the devil deceived Eve then Adam into believing immortality was within their reach; he wants all people thinking there must be a methodology by which people can be saved. A methodology to practice self serving, in order to thwart God’s declaration of death for disobedience.

Satan’s First Lie

Genesis 3:1-7; “Now the serpent was more shrewd than any of the wild animals that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Is it really true that God6 said, ‘You must not eat from any tree of the orchard’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit from the trees of the orchard; but concerning the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the orchard God said, ‘You must not eat from it, and you must not touch it, or else you will die.’” The serpent said to the woman, “Surely you will not die, for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will open and you will be like divine beings who know good and evil.” (6) When the woman saw that the tree produced fruit that was good for food, was attractive to the eye, and was desirable for making one wise, she took some of its fruit and ate it. She also gave some of it to her husband who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them opened, and they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.”)

Only their humanity awakened to their nakedness. Satan knew spiritual understanding would come form God miraculously opening minds. He knew he could attract with appeal and desire.

Paul’s Letters to God’s churches, supporting text & commentary, chapter 64

Sunday, December 18th, 2016

God’s 9th month, Kislev 18, 5777; - 12/18/2016, to, His Way People/church.

Jesus purposely kept Paul humble and Paul realized arrogance could possibly rule his behavior had Jesus not done so. How many of us realize our inherited nature’s desire for power, wealth and etc. Paul’s letter to Timothy contains the following verse. (Tim 6:10; For the love of money is the root of all evils. Some people in reaching for it have strayed from the faith and stabbed themselves with many pains.) We have the history of king Solomon’s gifted wisdom and downfall resulting from his unchecked desires. So Paul shares his thorn in the flesh, given to him, “a messenger of Satan to trouble him” so he would not become arrogant. Allow Paul’s rationale to continue for our learning.

(2 Corinthians 12:8-10; “I asked the Lord three times about this, that it would depart from me. But He said to me, “My grace is enough for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” So then, I will boast most gladly about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may reside in me. (10) Therefore I am content with weaknesses, with insults, with troubles, with persecutions and difficulties for the sake of Christ, for whenever I am weak, then I am strong.”) Gifted revealed understanding? Understanding our inherited from Adam sin nature is of great value.

Paul spoke of being transported to the third heaven. “In or out of the body, Paul couldn’t say; God knows.” There is a heavenly spiritual throne out there! STUDY Revelations 4: Much of what Jesus revealed to John may have been revealed to Paul. SUCH knowledge could make a fleshly human arrogant, but Paul understood the meaning of the Lord saying; “My grace is enough for you.”

God taught Paul to be totally dependent on Him. Paul will be in the first resurrection and we Believers look forward to meeting him, “one God made great in His View.”

Some professing Christians denominations refer to themselves as teaching a, “Pauline doctrine.” Paul was taught by Jesus! Some Roman priests have adapted an order called, “Mission Society of St Paul the Apostle” founded in New York in 1858. Seemingly they consider Paul’s theology different than Jesus’.

Heavenly Father: thank You for revealing Your Way and this world’s need, that our kingdom soon come. Give Your persevering will and strength to as many that are led to ask, is our prayer in the nature of Jesus. AMEN.

We need to consider the cost when we are led to turn to God, from the practices this world’s system promotes. To have membership in God’s family, we must be gifted with a nature change. A change from fleshly to spiritual. Jesus refers to this change as, “being born from above.” Being spiritually reborn is to be gifted with an outlook change. Conjuring up a turning from fleshly to spiritual, from within our fleshly nature isn’t possible. Turning from this world’s divisionary systematic way of thinking is God’s Way. People think fleshly until God calls, opens our minds spiritually and gives the desire to be at one with Him. Joining a religion of choice cannot change a persons nature. Satan has this world’s system of things divided into many philosophies and doctrines, all designed to appeal to our fleshly inherited from Adam nature. Which amounts to idolatry, which is going the way that seems right. The only view that isn’t idolatrous, is God’s View and Way. God’s Way is singular and He presents Himself as our spiritual loving Creator. He and His followers hates the false way. (When God reveals Himself and leads us to turn from Satan’s deceptive worldly systematic practices, “it’s conversion from self dependency to faith in Jesus dependency.” Then we can individually look to God for strength and the will to persevere “overcome to the end.” Consider Jesus’ Word’s, which will judge us.

(Matt 10:34-39; “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. “Whoever loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me and whoever loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And whoever does not take up his cross, and follow Me is not worthy of Me. Whoever finds his life will lose it and whoever loses his life because of Me will find it.”)

Consider the difficulty in following Jesus while living among unbelievers. We each love one or the other! The fleshly outlook desires practicing divisionary philosophies, designed to aid our fleshly pursuit of worldly desired pleasures “sin.” God revels that He loved us first and He gives the desire to lovingly obey Him.

Doctor Luke repeats the principles recorded in Matthew at Luke 14:25-33; “Now large crowds were accompanying Jesus, He turning to them and said, “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate “love less by comparison” his own father and mother, and wife and children, and brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. (27) Whoever does not carry his own cross “practice what is revealed - understood” and follow Me cannot be My disciple. (28) (cost?) For which of you, wanting to build a tower, doesn’t sit down first and compute the cost to see if he has enough money to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish the tower, all who see it will begin to make fun of him. They will say, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish!’ Or what king, going out to confront another king in battle, will not sit down first and determine whether he is able with ten thousand to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand? If he cannot succeed, he will send a representative while the other is still a long way off and ask for terms of peace. (33) In the same way therefore not one of you can be My disciple if he does not renounce all his own possessions.”)

From the fleshly mind’s point of view; not only are we prone to love this world’s system of things, but also what we consider belonging to us, “me, mine and our” family, property, things that help us fit the world, including styles, jewelry, clothing etc. From Adam we each inherited the characteristic of wanting to be loved and fleshly accepted by the world. A characteristic that we must overcome through Jesus’ imputed love in us. Repentance is a gifted turning from what seemed right to our inherited from Adam nature to the God gifted nature of Jesus. It’s the only way to the kingdom family of God.

Jesus’ apostle Paul was called to suffer many things and be a witness to the world. After speaking of false teachers presenting their credentials, using status to invade congregations and deceiving, Paul compared them to Satan while comparing himself as, the least of the apostles.

(2Cor 12:11-12; “I have become a fool. You yourselves forced me to do it, for I should have been commended by you. For I lack nothing in comparison to those “super-apostles” even though I am nothing. (12) Indeed, the signs of an apostle were performed among you with great perseverance by signs and wonders and powerful deeds.”) Jesus gave His apostles powers through Himself. See Acts 28: to read about the miracles Jesus did through Paul on the island of Malta while in route to Rome.

(2Cor 12:13-21; “For how were you treated worse than the other churches, except that I myself was not a burden to you? Forgive me this injustice! Look, for the third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be a burden to you, because I do not want your possessions, but you. For children should not have to save up for their parents, but parents for their children. (15) Now I will most gladly spend and be spent for your lives! If I love you more, am I to be loved less? But be that as it may, I have not burdened you. Yet because I was a crafty person, I took you in by deceit! I have not taken advantage of you through anyone I have sent to you, have I? I urged Titus to visit you and I sent our brother along with him. Titus did not take advantage of you, did he? Did we not conduct ourselves in the same spirit? Did we not behave in the same way? Have you been thinking all this time that we have been defending ourselves to you? We are speaking in Christ before God, and everything we do, dear friends, is to build you up. For I am afraid that somehow when I come I will not find you what I wish, and you will find me not what you wish. I am afraid that somehow there may be quarreling, jealousy, intense anger, selfish ambition, slander, gossip, arrogance, and disorder. (21) I am afraid that when I come again, my God may humiliate me before you, and I will grieve for many of those who previously sinned and have not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and licentiousness that they have practiced.”)

As with all believers IN, this Corinth church had previously been practicing the ways of the world. They heard the good news, turned “repented” were gifted to belief IN; but others came twisting Jesus’ message through Paul, causing a turning back. God put Paul on the firing line, so to speak. Paul had to deal with “babes in Christ Believers.” A people characterized much like the Israelites Moses contended with. At one point Paul is boastful of the Corinthians, telling the church at Macedonia of their overcoming, complementing them on their freewill offerings for the church at Jerusalem. Now; Paul is afraid that many have gone backward spiritually. This is what can happen to Believers IN, if unbelievers are allowed to gain leadership positions and sinful people not removed from assemblies. See Revelations 2: and 3: study Jesus’ admonition through John to the seven churches. To each of the seven, the message is; “overcome to the end.”

(2 Cor 13:1-10; “This is the third time I am coming to visit you. By the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter will be established. I said before when I was present the second time and now, though absent, I say again to those who sinned previously and to all the rest, that if I come again, I will not spare anyone, since you are demanding proof that Christ is speaking through me. He is not weak toward you but is powerful among you. (4) For indeed HE was crucified by reason of weakness, but He lives because of God’s power. For we also are weak in Him, but we will live together with Him, because of God’s power toward you. (5) Put yourselves to the test to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize regarding yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you – unless, indeed, you fail the test! And I hope that you will realize that we have not failed the test! Now we pray to God that you may not do anything wrong, not so that we may appear to have passed the test, but so that you may do what is right even if we may appear to have failed the test. (8) For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the sake of the truth. For we rejoice whenever we are weak, but you are strong. And we pray for this: that you may become fully qualified. (10) Because of this I am writing these things while absent, so that when I arrive I may not have to deal harshly with you by using my authority – the Lord gave it “the authority” to me for building up, not for tearing down!”)

Can we realize that Jesus was purposely weak in the flesh, but powerful in spirit. Jesus allowed His own crucifixion. As He was being arrested Jesus said to Peter; (“Put your sword back in its place! For all who take hold of the sword will die by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot call on My Father, and that He would send Me more than twelve legions of angels right now? How then would the scriptures that say it must happen this way be fulfilled?” Matt 26:52-54)

Does it take strength to turn the other cheek? Paul also exercised weakness rather than the arrogances of Lording Over people.

(2Cor 13:11-13; “Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice, set things right, be encouraged, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the Saints greet you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”)

This GOOD NEWS “gospel” about the spirit of Jesus living in people was proclaimed through Abraham, Moses, David, all Jesus’ prophets and apostles. Jesus’ messages, His promises and planning for the future of His people and this earth are sure. His set aside, “sanctified” practices, is the only way, for followers of Jesus. Only through gifted belief IN Jesus, do people inherit eternal life, “immortality.” This concludes our Corinthians study. We know from Paul’s terminology that he was either writing during the “Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread season” or he was spiritually compelled to teach it’s theme of putting sin away.

Paul’s Letters to God’s churches, supporting text & commentary, chapter 63

God’s 9th month, Kislev 17, 5777; - 12/17/2016, to, His Way People/church

Review 2Corinthians 6:14-18 from the last study and meditate on Paul’s Jesus inspired words. Consider the fact that Satan is allowed to be the god of this world. Consider Jesus’ Word “if they persecuted Me they will persecute you.” If the populations at large didn’t believe Jesus, how can we assume they will believe us. (The Greek term Βελιάρ (Beliar) is a spelling variant for Βελιάλ (Belial, see Judg 20:13 LXX). It occurs only here in the New Testament. Beliar is a reference to Satan.) We followers of Jesus are “the temple of the living God.” Jesus knew and predicted the condition of this world and it’s efforts to mix paganism in Jesus’ name.

Less than 200 years after Jesus’ ascension, people calling themselves Christian began mixing paganism and worldly accepted traditions in the name of Jesus to gain popularity and membership. Fulfilling Jesus’ words “many will come in My name, saying I am the Christ and deceive many.” Thus, Paul’s words at verses 3 & 4, this 11th chapter. (“But I am afraid that just as the serpent deceived Eve by his treachery, your minds may be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus different from the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the one you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it well enough!”) AND verses 13-15 (“ For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will correspond to their actions.”)

In each age; as in Paul’s day, people were claiming to be led by Jesus, boasting of their credentials and deceiving the many naïve people. Today even more denominations are practicing pagan traditions and claiming to represent Jesus.

The paradox? Many well intended people thinking it good to be religious, choose a church that fits their own fleshly thinking without searching God’s Word. We inherited such thinking from Adam. Worldly denominations are as darkened parables.

(Matthew 13:10-15; “Then the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” He replied, You “who are called” have been given the opportunity to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven but they have not. For whoever has will be given more and will have an abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. For this reason I speak to them in parables: Although they see they do not see and although they hear they do not hear nor do they understand. And concerning them “those who aren’t called” the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: ‘You will listen carefully yet will never understand, you will look closely yet will never comprehend. For the heart of this people has become dull; they are hard of hearing, and they have shut their eyes, so that they would not see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their hearts and turn, “repent” and I would heal them.’”)

Jesus’ teaching don’t fit the narrative, “people are born to live forever someplace” as Satan palmed off on Eve and modern Christendom. Nor does it fit assumed methodology of the majorities. Fleshly, worldly religions make gods fit their fleshly thinking. Many maintain the fleshly attitude “one denomination is as good as the other, after all we are all trying to get to the same place.” So they condone tradition and every imaginable view. Speaking to His called disciples, Jesus continued.

(Matt 13:16-17; “But your eyes are blessed because they see and your ears because they hear. For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”)

The prophets, righteous people and even angels could not comprehend the mystery of, “God’s spirit living in people” until the time allotted. (preset) Touching on this mystery, Jesus began quoting in principle the inspiration He gave the prophets. (Just as the scripture says, ‘From within him will flow rivers of living water. John 7:38; Now Jesus said this about the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were going to receive, for the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” (See Isaiah 44:3, 55:1, 58:11, and Zech 14:8, Jesus inspired these prophetic Words long before.)

When this truth is proclaimed, the many fit the categories of Jesus’ sower parable.

(Matt 13:18-23; “So listen to the parable of the sower: When anyone hears the word about the kingdom and do not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches what was sown in his heart; this is the seed sown along the path. The seed sown on rocky ground is the person who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy. But he has no root in himself and does not endure; when trouble or persecution comes because of the word, immediately he falls away. The seed sown among thorns is the person who hears the word, but worldly cares and the seductiveness of wealth choke the word, so it produces nothing. But as for the seed sown on good soil, this is the person who hears the word and understands. He bears fruit, yielding a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown.”) Now back to Paul’s 2nd letter to the Corinthians and all followers of Jesus.

(2Cor 11:16-33; “I “Paul” say again, let no one think that I am a fool. But if you do, then at least accept me as a fool, so that I too may boast a little. What I am saying with this boastful confidence I do not say the way the Lord would. Instead it is, as it were, foolishness. Since many are boasting according to human standards, I too will boast. For since you are so wise, you put up with fools, (false teachers with fleshly credentials, boasting and deceiving the naïve.) gladly. For you put up with someone making slaves of you, if someone exploits you, if someone takes advantage of you, if someone behaves arrogantly toward you, if someone strikes you in the face. (21) (To my disgrace I must say that we were too weak for that!) But whatever anyone else dares to boast about (I am speaking foolishly) I also dare to boast about the same thing. Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they descendants of Abraham? So am I. (23) Are they servants of Christ? (I am talking like I am out of my mind!) I am even more so: with much greater labors, with far more imprisonments, with more severe beatings, facing death many times. Five times I received from the Jews forty lashes less one. Three times I was beaten with a rod. Once I received a stoning. Three times I suffered shipwreck. A night and a day I spent adrift in the open sea. (26) I have been on journeys many times, in dangers from rivers, in dangers from robbers, in dangers from my own countrymen, in dangers from Gentiles, in dangers in the city, in dangers in the wilderness, in dangers at sea, in dangers from false brothers, in hard work and toil, through many sleepless nights, in hunger and thirst, many times without food, in cold and without enough clothing. Apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxious concern for all the churches. (29) Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not burn with indignation? (30 If I must boast, I will boast about the things that show my weakness. The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, who is blessed forever, knows I am not lying. In Damascus, the governor under King Aretas was guarding the city of Damascus in order to arrest me, (33) but I was let down in a rope-basket through a window in the city wall, and escaped his hands.”) Read this historical account at Acts 9: And how is that Paul boasted in the things that showed his weakness?

Remember Paul’s explanation at 1Corinthians 2:1-5; “When I came to you, brothers and sisters, I did not come with superior eloquence or wisdom as I proclaimed the testimony of God. For I decided to be concerned about nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and with much trembling. My conversation and my preaching were not with persuasive words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not be based on human wisdom but on the power of God.”)

A characteristic of false teachers is their presentation, credentials and their desire to lord over. Paul was well schooled in the law, spoke several languages and could have presented credentials, but the spirit in Paul didn’t allow that. Through gifted spiritual revelations (Paul taught the mysterious truth of God’s spirit living in people that changed natures from fleshly thinking, “like that inherited from Adam, to spiritual thinking like that of Jesus’.”

Now Paul shares the details of his conversion

(2Corinthians 12:1-7; “It is necessary to go on boasting. Though it is not profitable, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord. I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago (whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows) was caught up to the third heaven. (3) And I know that this man (whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, God knows) was caught up into paradise and heard things too sacred to be put into words, things that a person is not permitted to speak. On behalf of such an individual I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except about my weaknesses. (6) For even if I wish to boast, I will not be a fool, for I would be telling the truth, but I refrain from this so that no one may regard me beyond what he sees in me or what he hears from me, even because of the extraordinary character of the revelations. Therefore, so that I would not become arrogant, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to trouble me – so that I would not become arrogant.”)

We find a majority of theological trained preachers are arrogant regarding their fleshly talents. Satan attempted to use Paul’s fleshly talents and “the extraordinary character of Jesus’ revelations” to woo people into looking to him beyond his humanity. Paul knew and was thankful that God kept him humble, causing a weakness that aided the holy spirit’s work.

God’s 9th month, Kislev 16, 5777; - 12/16/2016, to, His Way People/church

A submissive spirit is of great price. Paul taught the principle in his letters to the Corinthians. We need to be submissive to Jesus as Lord over our conduct. As well, Paul teaches the principle of our being submissive to whom we draw wages from. The principal of wives and children being submissive is for spiritual training. In that context we need to recognize “we each inherited a self serving nature that resents being submissive.” Our nature like Adam and Eve’s, prefers thinking for and deciding for self, in all matters regarding right, wrong, good and evil. Not cultivating a submissive to God mindset, the Israelites wanted a king like their non-Israelite neighbors.

(1 Samuel 8:4-9; “So all the elders of Israel gathered together and approached Samuel at Ramah. They said to him, “Look, you are old, and your sons don’t follow your ways. So now appoint over us a king to lead us, just like all the other nations have.” But this request displeased Samuel for they said, “Give us a king to lead us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord. The Lord said to Samuel “Do everything the people request of you. For it is not you that they have rejected, but it is Me that they have rejected as their king. Just as they have done from the day that I brought them up from Egypt until this very day, they have rejected Me and have served other gods. This is what they are also doing to you. So now do as they say. But seriously warn them and make them aware of the policies of the king “people” who will rule over them.

(10-18; “So Samuel spoke all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking him for a king. He said, “Here are the policies of the king who will rule over you: He will conscript your sons and put them in his chariot forces and in his cavalry; they will run in front of his chariot. He will appoint for himself leaders of thousands and leaders of fifties, as well as those who plow his ground, reap his harvest, and make his weapons of war and his chariot equipment. He will take your daughters to be ointment makers, cooks, and bakers. He will take your best fields and vineyards and give them to his own servants. He will demand a tenth of your seed and of the produce of your vineyards and give it to his administrators and his servants. He will take your male and female servants, as well as your best cattle and your donkeys, and assign them for his own use. He will demand a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will be his servants. In that day you will cry out because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the Lord won’t answer you in that day.”)

Sound like a governing authority you know? In Moses’ day the whole world was already going the way that seemed right to their fleshly nature. Only God’s chosen people “the Israelites” had a covenant with their Creator. Agreeing to practice and live according to His righteous way. Today Believers IN “Christians” are gifted with a new covenant with our Creator, under Jesus as Shepherd, God’s People are His Temple, His Church and family. Now back to Paul’s letter to God’s church at Corinth and all followers of Jesus.

(2Cor 8:16-22; “But thanks be to God who put in the heart of Titus the same devotion, I have for you, because he not only accepted our request, but since he was very eager, he is coming to you of his own accord. And we are sending along with him the brother who is praised by all the churches for his work in spreading the gospel. (19) In addition, this brother has also been chosen by the churches as our traveling companion as we administer this generous gift to the glory of the Lord Himself and to show our readiness to help. We did this as a precaution so that no one should blame us in regard to this generous gift we are administering. (21) For we are concerned about what is right not only before the Lord but also before men. And we are sending with them our brother whom we have tested many times and found eager in many matters, but who now is much more eager than ever because of the great confidence he has in you.”)

The trusted brother accompanying Titus isn’t named here for some reason. Paul is careful to display honesty before the church and outsiders. Careful not to lord over; thus he tells of Titus and companions coming of their own accord; “not commanded by Paul.” We believers IN are under a love covenant with our Lord and Savior Jesus. Differing from God’s old covenant with the Israelites. It was a physical covenant through God’s servant Moses and Moses’ successors.

Members of God’s church at Corinth “as are scattered Christians around the world” are members of God’s family, our citizenship is in heaven. However we are to obey fleshly governments to the degree that God wills. Worldly governments usually includes a welfare system, society laws, taxes to support military and much more. This doesn’t diminish the Christian obligation to look out for one another and support overseers teaching God’s Way. Giving time or monetary support to denominations practicing false way is idolatry. Supporting the less fortunate Christians is a big part of our responsibility..

(2Cor 9:1-4; “For it is not necessary for me to write you about this service to the Saints, because I know your eagerness to help. I keep boasting to the Macedonians about this eagerness of yours, that Achaia has been ready to give since last year, and your zeal to participate has stirred up most of them. But I am sending these brothers so that our boasting about you may not be empty in this case, so that you may be ready just as I kept telling them. (4) For if any of the Macedonians should come with me and find that you are not ready to give, we would be humiliated (not to mention you) by this confidence we had in you.”) Instructions for this collection preparation began in Paul’s first letter.

(1Cor 16:1-4; “With regard to the collection for the saints, please follow the directions that I gave to the churches of Galatia: On the first day of the week, each of you should set aside some income and save it to the extent that God has blessed you, so that a collection will not have to be made when I come. Then, when I arrive, I will send those whom you approve with letters of explanation to carry your gift to Jerusalem. And if it seems advisable that I should go also, they will go with me.”) The Christians in Jerusalem were having hard times in various ways. Christians in Galatia and Corinth were more prosperous and some had been making preparations for this giving for a long time.

(2Cor 9:5-15; “Therefore I thought it necessary to urge these brothers to go to you in advance and to arrange ahead of time the generous contribution you had promised, so this may be ready as a generous gift and not as something you feel forced to do. (6) My point is this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. (7) Each one of you should give just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, because God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace overflow to you so that because you have enough of everything in every way at all times, you will overflow in every good work. Just as it is written, “He has scattered widely, He has given to the poor; His righteousness remains forever.” (quotation from Ps 112:9) Now God who provides seed for the sower “planter” and bread for food will provide and multiply your supply of seed and will cause the harvest of your righteousness to grow. (11) You will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous on every occasion, which is producing through us thanksgiving to God, because the service of this ministry is not only providing for the needs of the Saints but is also overflowing with many thanks to God. (13) Through the evidence of this service they will glorify God because of your obedience to your confession in the gospel of Christ and the generosity of your sharing with them and with everyone. And in their prayers on your behalf they long for you because of the extraordinary grace God has shown to you. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”) To know that God is our Provider is a gift. Obedience to our New Covenant under Jesus is a submission to God’s law of love.

Showing communities with action our submissiveness to Jesus’ law of love is to share our abundance. When we have abundance we should look for folks to help. Especially like minded Believers IN. We have a spiritual obligation to love others as Christ loves us. A willingness to give of ourselves in every way without recognition should be our goal worth seeking.

Heavenly Father: thank You for revealing Yourself through Your Son Jesus and Your inspired printed Word. May many be led to seek Your Way is our prayer in Jesus’ holy name. AMEN

The holy scriptures define the church as individuals in whom God’s spirit dwells. God’s church is not a building nor a denomination. People born from above in whom God gifts with a new nature, is His Church. God’s church is the bride of Christ. A people wedded to, immersed in and clothed with Jesus Christ.

Speaking to those in whom His spirit would dwell, Jesus said; “Again, I tell you the truth, if two of you on earth agree about whatever you ask, My Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three are assembled in My name “My nature” I am there among them.” Matt 18:19-20)

Consider! Two spirit led individuals aren’t going to ask for anything outside the will of God! The point being, two or more converted to God’s Way people assembled for worship are family and their request would always be in the context of what is good for God’s church family. This is what’s meant when the apostles write, “don’t forsake the assembling together of yourselves.” They did not mean “don’t forsake getting together in a building of choice to worship according to choice.” Rather, Paul uses quotes and principles from Moses, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Isaiah, teaching Christians to separate from those who aren‘t like minded. (See Lev 26:12; Jer 32:38; Ezek 37:27 and Isaiah 52:11.

(2Cor 6:14-18; “Do not become partners with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness? And what agreement does Christ have with Beliar? Or what does a Believer share in common with an unbeliever? And what mutual agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said, “I will live in them and will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” Therefore “come out from their midst, and be separate,” says the Lord, “and touch no unclean thing, and I will welcome you, and I will be a Father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters,” says the All-Powerful Lord.)

God’s people cannot be partners with “worshipers with” people overly involved with this world’s system of things. Worldly religious denominations boast of membership size, property holdings and even their ability to influence governments. They worship tradition and mix paganism in the name of Jesus.
