Grace, mercy and love, chapter 19

6/13/17, God’s 3rd month, Sivan 18, 5777 until sunset today. To 4,529 in resident churches and individuals “called to follow Jesus.”

Each professing Christian group, imagine a Jesus a little different than the other. It’s Satan’s doing; his influence on the minds of people promoting his divisionary agenda. From Jesus’ perspective, how many truths are there? From within the fleshly mindset; is it possible to know Jesus’ perspective regarding all things? No! Why not? Allow Him to tell you.

(Matt 13:10-23; Then the disciples came to Him and said, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” He replied, “You ‘followers of Me’ have been given the opportunity to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but they have not. (12) For whoever has will be given more, and will have an abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.”

Digest that. Only the selected know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven. Those who are gifted with the understanding will grow in that understanding; those who don’t will simply remain confused.

(13-15; “For this reason I speak to them in parables: Although they ‘those not called or gifted’ see they do not see, and although they hear they do not hear nor do they understand. And concerning them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: ‘You will listen carefully yet will never understand, you will look closely yet will never comprehend. For the heart of this people has become dull; they are hard of hearing,

and they have shut their eyes, so that they would not see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’” (Quote from Isaiah 6:9-10)

The heart must be changed supernaturally; until it is a person can never comprehend. But Satan told it differently. He told Eve in effect; God lied, He knows when you eat, you will be divine. (Gen 3:4-5; The serpent said to the woman, “Surely you will not die, for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will open and you will be like divine beings who know good and evil.”) People have been thinking they have the capacity to learn for themselves, ’what’s right, wrong, good and evil ever since.’

Jesus continues; (16-17; “But your eyes are blessed because they see, and your ears because they hear. For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you, ‘followers of Me’ see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”

(18-23; “So listen to the parable of the sower: When anyone hears the word about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one ‘Satan’ comes and snatches what was sown in his heart; this is the seed sown along the path. (20) The seed sown on rocky ground is the person who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy. But he has no root in himself and does not endure; when trouble or persecution comes because of the word, immediately he falls away. (22) The seed sown among thorns is the person who hears the word, but worldly cares and the seductiveness of wealth choke the word, so it produces nothing. (23) But as for the seed sown on good soil, this is the person who hears the word and understands. He bears fruit, yielding a hundred, sixty, or thirty times what was sown.”)

Each prone to be religious person; ‘those trusting their own intellect’ think to themselves; “God gave me the mind to choose.” Therein is the root of division. God doesn’t want us choosing beyond what He reveals is right, wrong, good and evil.

God gifts us with the understanding of His deity.

(John 1:1-5; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was fully God. The Word was with God in the beginning. All things were created by Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created. In him was life, and the life was the light of mankind. And the light shines on in the darkness, but the darkness has not mastered it.”)

The darkness is that which Satan puts out to cause division. Satan wants people to think of themselves as divine; “thus able to discern for themselves.” A repentant person knows by revelation that only God has the prerogative of revealing His truth.

Paul and called out Believers IN, know the supremacy of Christ

(Colossians 1:15-23; “He, ‘Jesus’ is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation, for all things in heaven and on earth were created by Him – all things, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones or dominions, whether principalities or powers – all things were created through Him and for Him. (17) He Himself is before all things and all things are held together ‘sustained’ in Him.

(18-20; “He is the head of the body, the church, as well as the beginning, the firstborn from among the dead, so that He Himself may become first in all things. For God ’The Father’ was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in the Son (20) and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself by making peace through the blood of His cross – through Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven.”

The called Believers IN understand that the Son of God, ‘Jesus’ was the spokesman that said, “let us make man in our likeness and image.” Jesus was Abraham’s Lord, making promises to him and his descendents. Jesus called Moses and delivered Israel through him. Jesus gave Moses the ten commandments and other statutes to live by for the people’s good. Before we continue in Colossians, lets review Galatians 3:28-29; “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female – for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.

Before being called and the deity of God revealed, we were strangers.

(Colossians 1:21-23; “And you, ‘gentiles’ were at one time strangers and enemies in your minds as expressed through your evil deeds, but now He ‘Jesus’ has reconciled you by His physical body through death to present you holy, without blemish, and blameless before Him – (23) if indeed you remain in the faith, established and firm, without shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard. This gospel has also been preached in all creation under heaven, and I, Paul, have become its servant.”)

Teaching beyond this are assumptions of folks with agenda’s.

(Hebrews 13:5-9; “Your conduct must be free from the love of money and you must be content with what you have, for He has said, “I will never leave you and I will never abandon you.” So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, and5 I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?” Remember your leaders, who spoke God’s message to you; reflect on the outcome of their lives and imitate their faith. (8) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever! Do not be carried away by all sorts of strange teachings.”)

More proof of Jesus’ deity. Before Jesus came in the flesh

His truth was as parables, meaning a little here and a little there in portions.

(Hebrews 1:1-4; “After God spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets, in these last days He has spoken to us in a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He created the world. (3) The Son is the radiance of His glory and the representation of His essence, and He sustains all things by His powerful Word, and so when He had accomplished cleansing for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Thus He became so far better than the angels as He has inherited a name superior to theirs.”)

Jesus perceives the things we ponder and meditate about.

(John 16:19-28; “Jesus could see that they wanted to ask Him about these things, so He said to them, “Are you asking each other about this – that I said, ‘In a little while you will not see Me; again after a little while, you will see Me’? (20) I tell you the solemn truth, you ‘followers of Me’ will weep and wail, but the world will rejoice; you will be sad, but your sadness will turn into joy. When a woman gives birth, she has distress because her time has come, but when her child is born, she no longer remembers the suffering because of her joy that a human being has been born into the world. (22) So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you. At that time you will ask Me nothing. I tell you the solemn truth, whatever you ‘followers of Me’ ask the Father in My name, ‘nature’ He will give you. (24) Until now you have not asked for anything in My name. Ask and you will receive it, so that your joy may be complete.

(25-28; “I have told you these things in obscure figures of speech; a time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in obscure figures, but will tell you plainly about the Father. At that time you will ask in My name, ‘nature’ and I do not say that I will ask the Father on your behalf. For the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came from God. I came from the Father and entered into the world, but in turn, I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.””)

6/11/17, God’s 3rd month, Sivan 16, 5777 until sunset today. To 4,523 in resident churches and individuals “called to follow Jesus.”

We have attempted to zero in on the fact that God does the calling and gives the desire to be a follower of Jesus. Denominationalism thinks in terms of methodology and a conjured up by human choice faith from within the fleshly mind. In other words, “a you choose doctrine.” Some proclaim their version by going from house to house and others take to the air waves with their doctrine. However like Paul we say, “nevertheless Jesus is preached.”  Why? Perhaps some will be lead to prove all things and hold to what is good. See 1Thess 5:21 and  2Cor 11:4. This world’s situation isn’t much different than when Paul took Jesus’ good news to Athens.

Lets study Acts 17:16-34; “While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, his spirit was greatly upset because he saw the city was full of idols. So he was addressing the Jews and the God-fearing Gentiles in the synagogue and in the marketplace every day those who happened to be there. (18) Also some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers were conversing with him, and some were asking, “What does this foolish babbler want to say?” Others said, “He seems to be a proclaimer of foreign gods.” (They said this because he was proclaiming the good news about Jesus and the resurrection.)

(Strangely; proclaiming Jesus’ gospel and the resurrections is still as “proclaiming a foreign god to the, immortality at birth and heaven hell doctrine folks.”)

(Acts 17:19-21; “So they took Paul and brought him to the ‘council of Areopagus’ saying, “May we know what this new teaching is that you are proclaiming? For you are bringing some surprising things to our ears, so we want to know what they mean.” (All the Athenians and the foreigners who lived there used to spend their time in nothing else than telling or listening to something new.)

(Remember last study? “If they don’t believe Moses neither will they believe, even if one is raised from the dead and tells them.)

(Acts 17:22- So Paul stood before the Areopagus council and said, “Men of Athens, I see that you are very religious in all respects. For as I went around and observed closely your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: ‘To an unknown god.’ Therefore what you worship without knowing it, this I proclaim to you.”

(24-27; “The God who made the world and everything in it, who is Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by human hands, nor is He served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives life and breath and everything to everyone. (26) From one man ‘Adam’ He made every nation of the human race to inhabit the entire earth, determining their set times and the fixed limits of the places where they would live, so that they would search for God and perhaps grope around for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.”

(28-29; For in Him we live and move about and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we too are his offspring.’ So since we are God’s offspring, we should not think the deity is like gold or silver or stone, an image made by human skill and imagination.”

(30-31; “Therefore, although God has overlooked such times of ignorance, He now commands all people everywhere to repent, because He has set a day on which He is going to judge the world in righteousness, by a man whom He designated, having provided proof to everyone by raising Him from the dead.”

(32-34; “Now when they heard about the resurrection from the dead, some began to scoff, but others said, “We will hear you again about this.” So Paul left the Areopagus. But some people joined him and believed. Among them were Dionysius, who was a member of the Areopagus, a woman named Damaris, and others with them.”)

(As today Jesus’ good news through Paul is still thought of as strange. People still think of the deity as a “three in one god” still wear trinkets to demonstrate a belief and set up idols made with human hands to bow before.) We were all similar in our unbeliever status until God the Father revealed Himself and His Son, Jesus. Paul explained to the Ephesians and each called out individual, why “there should be no boasting, except in the Lord.”

(Eph 2:1-10; And although you ‘followers of Jesus’ were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you formerly lived according to this world’s present path, according to the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the ruler of the spirit that is now energizing the sons of disobedience, among whom all of us also formerly lived out our lives in the cravings of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath even as the rest…”

Who makes us alive with Christ and why?

(4-7; “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you are saved!  and He raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, (7) to demonstrate in the coming ages the surpassing wealth of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”

  How accomplished?

(8-10; “For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are His workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.”)

The full meaning is; “by gifted grace we are saved through gifted faith, not of ourselves but gifted from God who foreknew us from a beginning.

Individually and as God’s church; you gentiles are now citizens.

(Eph 2:11-22; “Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh – who are called “un-circumcision” by the so-called “circumcision” that is performed on the body by human hands – that you were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. (13) But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by ‘believe IN’ the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, the One who made both groups into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility, when He nullified in His flesh the law of commandments in decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of two, thus making peace,

(16-22; and to reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which the hostility has been killed. And He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near, so that through Him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you ‘gentiles’  are no longer foreigners and non-citizens, but you are fellow citizens with the Saints and members of God’s household, (20) because you have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone. In Him the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”)

Satan and the unbelieving politically correct majorities wants the world believing “one belief is as good as the other.” It is popular for the unbelieving majorities to say, “we are all trying to get to the same place.” But, it isn’t what Jesus inspired His apostle Paul to proclaim.

(2Corinthians 6:11-18; “We have spoken freely to you, Corinthians; our heart has been opened wide to you. Our affection for you is not restricted, but you are restricted in your affections for us. Now as a fair exchange – I speak as to my children – open wide your hearts to us also.

(14-18; Do not become partners with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness? And what agreement does Christ have with Beliar -Satan? Or what does a Believer share in common with an unbeliever? And what mutual agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we ‘followers of Jesus’ are the temple of the living God, just as God said, “I will live in them and will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” Therefore “come out from their midst, and be separate,” says the Lord, “and touch no unclean thing, and I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters,” says the All-Powerful Lord.”)

God the Father does the calling and gives the desire to know Him as He manifest Himself to be in the holy scriptures. Attempting to follow a Jesus of one’s imagination is idolatry. People can only choose to follow the Jesus manifested in the holy scriptures when God the Father calls and supernaturally reveals Him to the mind.

Grace, mercy and love, chapter 17

Friday, June 9th, 2017

6/9/17, God’s 3rd month, Sivan 14, 5777 until sunset today. To 4,522 in resident churches and individuals “called to follow Jesus.”

Not one of us deserve God’s mercy, grace and His gifting us with a desire to know Him as He manifest Himself to be in the holy scriptures. Satan wants people to think of themselves as divine, think themselves capable of deciding all matters for themselves. All Fleshly minded people have inherited Adam’s nature and generally think to themselves, “if God were fair He would do this or that” and “if God were fair He would allow me to worship Him as I think proper.” This type thinking has brought condemnation on mankind. Jesus teaches us through His apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans.

(Romans 3:9-18; “What then? Are we better off? Certainly not, for we ‘apostles’ have already charged that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin, just as it is written:

There is no one righteous, not even one, there is no one who understands, there is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, together they have become worthless;

there is no one who shows kindness, not even one.” (quote from Psalms 14”1-3) (13) “Their throats are open graves, They deceive with their tongues, the poison of asps is under their lips.” (quote from Psalms 5:9; & 140:3.)Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.” (quote from Psalms 10:7) Their feet are swift to shed blood, ruin and misery are in their paths, (17) and the way of peace they have not known.” (quote from Isaiah 59:7-8) There is no fear of God before their eyes.” (quote from Psalms 36:1)

We aren’t capable in and of ourselves to seek the God of Abraham and humbly submit to Him as Creator, Sustainer and Deliverer; as He manifest Himself to be. Jesus inspired this too through Paul.

(Philippians 2:13; “for the one bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort – for the sake of His good pleasure – is God.”)

Thus, no one can boast regarding their understanding and desire to know God.

  God challenges.

(Isaiah 41:21-23; “Present your argument,” says the Lord. “Produce your evidence,” says Jacob’s king. “Let them produce evidence! Let them tell us what will happen! Tell us about your earlier predictive oracles, so we may examine them and see how they were fulfilled. Or decree for us some future events! (23) Predict how future events will turn out, so we might know you are gods. Yes, do something good or bad, so we might be frightened and in awe.”

(Isa 41:24-29; “Look, you ‘pagans gods- you’ are nothing, and your accomplishments are nonexistent; the one who chooses to worship you is disgusting. I have stirred up one out of the north and he advances, one from the eastern horizon who prays in My name. He steps on rulers as if they were clay, like a potter treading the clay. (26) Who decreed this from the beginning, so we could know? Who announced it ahead of time, so we could say, ‘He’s correct’? Indeed, none of them decreed it! Indeed, none of them announced it!

Indeed, no one heard you say anything! (27) I first decreed to Zion, ‘Look, here’s what will happen! ’I sent a herald to Jerusalem. I look, but there is no one, among them there is no one who serves as an adviser, that I might ask questions and receive answers. Look, all of them are nothing, their accomplishments are nonexistent; their metal images lack any real substance.”)

Jesus had Isaiah predict His characteristics as He did John at 1“1-5, and Paul at Colossians 1:15-20 and Hebrews 1:.

(Isaiah 42:1-7; “Here is My servant whom I support, My chosen One in whom I take pleasure. I have placed My spirit on Him; He will make just decrees for the nations. He will not cry out or shout; He will not publicize Himself in the streets. A crushed reed He will not break, a dim wick He will not extinguish; He will faithfully make just decrees. (4) He will not grow dim or be crushed before establishing justice on the earth; the coastlands will wait in anticipation for His decrees.”

This is what the true God, the Lord, says – the One who created the sky and stretched it out, the One who fashioned the earth and everything that lives on it, the One who gives breath to the people on it, and life to those who live on it: “I, the Lord, officially commission you; I take hold of your hand. I protect you and make you a covenant mediator for people, and a light to the nations, to open blind eyes, to release prisoners from dungeons, those who live in darkness from prisons.”

     Praise Him for His rule.

(Isaiah 42:8-9; “I am the Lord! That is My name! I will not share My glory with anyone else, or the praise due Me with idols. Look, My earlier predictive oracles have come to pass; now I announce new events. Before they begin to occur, I reveal them to you.”

(Isa 42:10-17; “Sing to the Lord a brand new song! Praise Him from the horizon of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and everything that lives in it, you coastlands and those who live there! (11) Let the desert and its cities shout out, the towns where the nomads of Kedar live! Let the residents of Sela shout joyfully; let them shout loudly from the mountaintops. (12) Let them give the Lord the honor He deserves; let them praise His deeds in the coastlands. The Lord emerges like a hero, like a warrior He inspires Himself for battle; He shouts, yes, He yells, He shows His enemies His power. “I have been inactive for a long time; I kept quiet and held back. Like a woman in labor I groan; I pant and gasp. (15) I will make the trees on the mountains and hills wither up; I will dry up all their vegetation. I will turn streams into islands, and dry up pools of water. I will lead the blind along an unfamiliar way; I will guide them down paths they have never traveled. I will turn the darkness in front of them into light, and level out the rough ground. This is what I will do for them. I will not abandon them.” (17) Those who trust in idols will turn back and be utterly humiliated, those who say to metal images, ‘You are our gods.’”)

(Isa 42:18-25; “Listen, you deaf ones! Take notice, you blind ones! My servant is truly blind, My messenger is truly deaf. My covenant partner, the servant of the Lord is truly blind. (20) You see many things, but don’t comprehend; their ears are open, but do not hear.” The Lord wanted to exhibit His justice by magnifying His law and displaying it.

(Isa 42:22-25; “But these people are looted and plundered; all of them are trapped in pits and held captive in prisons. They were carried away as loot with no one to rescue them; they were carried away as plunder, and no one says, “Bring that back!” Who among you will pay attention to this? Who will listen attentively in the future? (24) Who handed Jacob over to the robber? Who handed Israel over to the looters? Was it not the Lord, against whom we sinned? They refused to follow His commands; they disobeyed His law. So He poured out His fierce anger on them, along with the devastation of war. Its flames encircled them, but they did not realize it; it burned against them, but they did notice.”)

Nations and individuals don’t get it! We suffer because of divisionary religions, leaders with personal agenda’s desiring to make merchandise of people.

(2Peter 2:1-3; “But false prophets arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. These false teachers will infiltrate your midst with destructive heresies, even to the point of6 denying the Master who bought them. As a result, they will bring swift destruction on themselves. And many will follow their debauched lifestyles. Because of these false teachers, the way of truth will be slandered. (3) And in their greed they will exploit you with deceptive words. Their condemnation pronounced long ago is not sitting idly by; their destruction is not asleep.”

Demonic punishment absolute to the degree that Peter prophesies as if done.

(2Peter 2:4- “For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but threw them into hell and locked them up in chains in utter darkness, to be kept until the judgment, and if He did not spare the ancient world, but did protect Noah, a herald of righteousness, along with seven others, when God brought a flood on an ungodly world, and if He turned to ashes the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah when He condemned them to destruction, having appointed them to serve as an example to future generations of the ungodly, and if He rescued Lot, a righteous man in anguish over the debauched lifestyle of lawless men, (8) (for while he lived among them day after day, that righteous man was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard) – if so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from their trials, and to reserve the unrighteous for punishment at the day of judgment, (10) especially those who indulge their fleshly desires34 and who despise authority.”)

HELL? Greek, “casting them into Tartarus” or “holding them captive in Tartarus.” This verb occurs only here in the New Testament, clearly established in both Hellenistic and Jewish literature. “Tartarus [was] thought of by the Greeks as a subterranean place lower than Hades where divine punishment was meted out, and so regarded in Israelite apocalyptic as well.” Grammatically, it has been translated as an indicative because it is an attendant circumstance participle.”

  Why parables?

(Matt 13:10-11; Then the disciples came to Him and said, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” He replied, “You ‘followers of Me’ have been given the opportunity to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but they have not.”)

Jesus’ parable about Abraham and the rich man is such. Israelites and particularly non-Israelites who bought into Satan’s lie regarding immortality, looked to the heavens, carved figurines and statues had also evolved to a heaven for the good people and a burning hell fire for the bad. To those not gifted to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, Jesus gave the rich man parable. At the end of His parable, He concludes.

(Luke 16:29-31; “But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the prophets; they must respond to them.’ Then the rich man said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ He replied to him, ‘If they do not respond to Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”)

This is the one time in all the gospels that a figure in a parable is mentioned by name. The importance is revealed in these last three verses. Jesus is back from the dead and shares His good news through His apostles; but the world don’t believe Him nor Moses.

Grace, mercy and love, chapter 16

Monday, June 5th, 2017

6/5/17, God’s 3rd month, Sivan 10, 5777 until sunset today. To 4,518 in resident churches and individuals “called to follow Jesus.”

Strong held ideologies and governmental bureaucracies enslave people. Particularly the working class in every country. The wealthy feed off these. For example; the fleshly educated politicians and wealthy teaching people against carbon emissions; but they individually produce many times more pollutants than the average working person. It is another way the upper class attempt to enslave and make merchandise of the less fortunate. The self righteous upper class in most societies support ideologies that are for bigger governmental control which usually evolve into communism or dictatorial control.

These unbelievers aren’t aware of true freedoms and social welfare as God taught the Israelites through Moses. Which is as close to perfection as can be attained for fleshly people.

While the whole world’s populations were going the way that seemed right to themselves. Enslaving one another and worshiping imaginary gods; through Moses God delivered the Israelites from Egyptian bondage as He had promised Abraham many years before. After deliverance God offered a covenant through His servant Moses to which the Israelites agreed. With the passing of a little time the Israelites began to look to how pagan groups governed and worshiped. The Lord’s revelations to Moses caused him to continually warn the people against the direction he saw evolving.

(Deuteronomy 4:9-14; “Again, however, ‘you Israelites’  pay very careful attention, lest you forget the things you have seen and disregard them for the rest of your life; instead teach them to your children and grandchildren. You stood before the Lord your God at Horeb and He said to me, “Assemble the people before Me so that I can tell them My commands. Then they will learn to revere Me all the days they live in the land, and they will instruct their children.” (11) You ‘Israelites’ approached and stood at the foot of the mountain, a mountain ablaze to the sky above it and yet dark with a thick cloud. Then the Lord spoke to you from the middle of the fire; you heard speech but you could not see anything – only a voice was heard. And He revealed to you the covenant He has commanded you to keep, the ten commandments, writing them on two stone tablets. Moreover, at that same time the Lord commanded me to teach you statutes and ordinances for you to keep in the land which you are about to enter and possess.” (Previously, God had told Moses he could not accompany the Israelites to the promised lands, so Moses continued his teaching with this mind set.)

Pagan worship assigned to the rest of mankind,- not God’s chosen.

(Deut 4:15-24; “Be very careful, then, because you saw no form at the time the Lord spoke to you at Horeb from the middle of the fire. I say this so you will not corrupt yourselves by making an image in the form of any kind of figure. This includes the likeness of a human male or female, any kind of land animal, any bird that flies in the sky, anything that crawls on the ground, or any fish in the deep waters of the earth. When you look up to the sky and see the sun, moon, and stars – the whole heavenly creation – you must not be seduced to worship and serve them, for the Lord your God has assigned them to all the people of the world.“)

The rest of the world’s population were being allowed to go the way that seemed right to their fleshly inherited from Adam nature. But NOT GOD’S CHOSEN. His called out people then and now are commanded to live in God’s righteousness. God’s New Covenant with His church is parallel in this regard. Called out followers of Jesus are a “set aside - reserved” people, commanded to disassemble from the world. (2Cor 6:17)

(Deut 4:20; You, however, the Lord has selected and brought from Egypt, that iron-smelting furnace, to be His special people as you are today.”

(Deut 4:21-24; But the Lord became angry with me because of you and vowed that I would never cross the Jordan nor enter the good land that He is about to give you. (22) So I must die here in this land; I will not cross the Jordan. But you are going over and will possess that good land. Be on guard so that you do not forget the covenant of the Lord your God that He has made with you, and that you do not make an image of any kind, just as He has forbidden you. For the Lord your God is a consuming fire; He is a jealous God.”) God is, lovingly jealous.

God had revealed the Israelites’ weaknesses to Moses.

(Deut 4:25-31; “After you have produced children and grandchildren and have been in the land a long time, if you become corrupt and make an image of any kind and do other evil things before the Lord your God that enrage Him, I invoke heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that you will surely and swiftly be removed from the very land you are about to cross the Jordan to possess. You will not last long there because you will surely be annihilated. (27) Then the Lord will scatter you among the peoples and there will be very few of you among the nations where the Lord will drive you. (28) There you will worship gods made by human hands – wood and stone that can neither see, hear, eat, nor smell. But if you seek the Lord your God from there, you will find Him, if, indeed, you seek Him with all your heart and soul. In your distress when all these things happen to you in the latter days, if you return to the Lord your God and obey Him (for He is a merciful God), He will not let you down or destroy you, for He cannot forget the covenant with your ancestors that He confirmed by oath to them.”)

The God of Abraham; Israel’s God, doesn’t forget promises and

He ask that we have conversations about His greatness.

(Deut 4:32- 40; “Indeed, ask about the distant past, starting from the day God created humankind on the earth, and ask from one end of heaven to the other, whether there has ever been such a great thing as this, or even a rumor of it. Have a people ever heard the voice of God speaking from the middle of fire, as you yourselves have, and lived to tell about it? (34) Or has God ever before tried to deliver a nation from the middle of another nation, accompanied by judgments, signs, wonders, war, strength, power, and other very terrifying things like the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your very eyes? (35) You have been taught that the Lord alone is God – there is no other besides Him. From heaven He spoke to you in order to teach you, and on earth He showed you His great fire from which you also heard His words. Moreover, because He loved your ancestors, He chose their descendants who followed them and personally brought you out of Egypt with his great power, to dispossess nations greater and stronger than you and brought you here this day to give you their land as your property. (39) Today realize and carefully consider that the Lord is God in heaven above and on earth below – there is no other! (40) Keep His statutes and commandments that I am setting forth today so that it may go well with you and your descendants and that you may enjoy longevity in the land that the Lord your God is about to give you as a permanent possession.”)

Permanent? Once again God is going to deliver scattered Israelites back to the borders promised Abraham.

The Israelites ask Moses to be their spokesman, because of fear.

(Deut 5:28-33; “When the Lord heard you speaking to me, He said to me, “I have heard what these people have said to you – they have spoken well. If only it would really be their desire to fear me and obey all My commandments in the future, so that it may go well with them and their descendants forever. (30) Go and tell them, ‘Return to your tents!’ But as for you, remain here with Me so I can declare to you all the commandments, statutes, and ordinances that you are to teach them, so that they can carry them out in the land I am about to give them.” Be careful, therefore, to do exactly what the Lord your God has commanded you; do not turn right or left! (33) Walk just as He has commanded you so that you may live, that it may go well with you, and that you may live long in the land you are going to possess.”)

Jesus is revealing a future deliverance.

(Isaiah 35:4-10; “Tell those who panic, “Be strong! do not fear! Look, your God comes to avenge! With divine retribution He comes to deliver you.” Then blind eyes will open,

deaf ears will hear. Then the lame will leap like a deer, the mute tongue will shout for joy; for water will flow in the desert, streams in the wilderness. The dry soil will become a pool of water, the parched ground springs of water. Where jackals once lived and sprawled out, grass, reeds, and papyrus will grow.

    (8) A thoroughfare will be there – it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it; it is reserved for those authorized to use it – fools will not stray into it. No lions will be there, no ferocious wild animals will be on it – they will not be found there. Those delivered from bondage will travel on it, (10) those whom the Lord has ransomed will return that way. They will enter Zion with a happy shout.

Unending joy will crown them, happiness and joy will overwhelm them; grief and suffering will disappear.”) (Include Isaiah 51: lets see a verse or two now.

Isaiah  51:4-5; “Pay attention to Me, My people! Listen to Me, My people! For I will issue a decree, I will make My justice a light to the nations. I am ready to vindicate, I am ready to deliver, I will establish justice among the nations. The coastlands wait patiently for Me; they wait in anticipation for the revelation of My power.”

(51:7- “Listen to me, you who know what is right, you people who are aware of My law! Don’t be afraid of the insults of men; don’t be discouraged because of their abuse! For a moth will eat away at them like clothes; a clothes moth will devour them like wool.

But the vindication I provide will be permanent; the deliverance I give will last.” Wake up! Wake up! Clothe yourself with strength, O arm of the Lord! Wake up as in former times, as in antiquity! Did you ‘Israelites’ not smash the Proud One? Did you not wound the sea monster? Did you not dry up the sea, the waters of the great deep? Did you not make a path through the depths of the sea, so those delivered from bondage could cross over?

     (11; “Those whom the Lord has ransomed will return; they will enter Zion with a happy shout. Unending joy will crown them, happiness and joy will overwhelm them;

grief and suffering will disappear.”

(12-15; “I, I am the One who consoles you. Why are you afraid of mortal men, of mere human beings who are as short-lived as grass? Why do you forget the Lord, who made you, who stretched out the sky and founded the earth? Why do you constantly tremble all day long at the anger of the oppressor, when he makes plans to destroy? Where is the anger of the oppressor? The one who suffers will sin be released; he will not die in prison,

he will not go hungry. I am the Lord your God, who churns up the sea so that its waves surge. The Lord who commands armies is his name!” (Study Jeremiah 31: also)

Jesus is the Lord that made the old covenant with Israel,

His death makes the new covenant possible. Spiritual Israelites

are chosen individually to be Temples of His spirit.

(1Cor 3:16-23; “Do you, ‘followers of Jesus’ not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If someone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, which is what you are. (18) Guard against self-deception, each of you. If someone among you thinks he is wise in this age, let him become foolish so that he can become wise. For the wisdom of this age is foolishness with God. As it is written, “He catches the wise in their craftiness.” (quote from Job 5:18) And again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” (quote from Psalms 94:11) So then, no more boasting about mere mortals! For everything belongs to you, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future. Everything belongs to you, and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.”)

“Born from above” likened to marriage.

(1Cor 6:19-20  The two will become one flesh.” (quote from Genesis 2:24) But the one united with the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin a person commits is outside of the body” – but the immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? (20) For you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.”)

Jesus’ covenant with Israel is likened to His covenant with Christians.

(2Cor 6:16-18;” Do not become partners with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness? And what agreement does Christ have with Beliar-‘Satan?’  Or what does a believer share in common with an unbeliever? And what mutual agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we ’followers of Jesus’ are the temple of the living God, just as God said, “I will live in them and will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” (quotation from Lev 26:12; similar to Jeremiah 32:38 and Ezek 37:27.) (17) Therefore “come out from their midst, and be separate,” says the Lord, “and touch no unclean thing, (quote from Isaiah 52:11) and I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters,” says the All-Powerful Lord.”)

Grace, mercy and love, chapter 15

Friday, June 2nd, 2017

6/2/17, God’s 3rd month, Sivan 7, 5777 until sunset today. To 4,514 in resident churches and individuals “called to follow Jesus.”

At sunset today begins the weekly Sabbath and the next sunset is Pentecost, the birthday of God’s New Covenant Church. Lets honor God prayerfully by remembering and observing His holy Sabbaths; while we pray for a shortening of this demonic time.

Ideologies as in ’systems of religion beliefs’ other than God ordained are demonic in nature. Satan inspires many divisionary ideologies. Most are ‘believing that types’ that aren’t deep rooted. “Believing that types’ are those that give over to fleshy desires, personal ambition, lust and animalistic love. (Other ideologies are radial ‘believing IN types’ deep rooted with foundational beliefs ingrained in the mindset, unshakeable by human effort, principled in what they believe, thinking their beliefs are absolute truths.) (Such people either don’t believe there is a salvation, or that it can only be earned by keeping particular laws and as such aren’t tolerant toward those who disagree.) These are a danger to societies attempting to assimilate people groups.

People thinking mankind can control the temperature on God’s earth are among these “believing IN” intolerant ideologies.

I will attempt to give an example of a “believing that type” scenario. Some time back a Jewish Rabbi and a Catholic Priest did a news paper column titled, “The God Squad.” Each held to their personal differing beliefs, :while maintaining that the good in both religions went to heaven at death.” The god they each maintained a belief IN seemingly decreed no absolutes; No, ‘The Truth’ doctrine and NO, ’thus shall not’s.’ The Priest died a few years back, but the Rabbi still writes a weekly column giving out the same basic view with his answers to questions from his readers. His ideology is a ‘believing that type’ still teaching a god that saves the good from all faiths.

Jesus, His apostles and all genuine Christians are thought of as being somewhat radical by the many among this world’s populations, “believing IN living by - practicing God’s unalterable truths. God’s ‘believing IN’ principles were taught by His prophets and apostles: “have always caused upheavals in societies looking to various imaginary gods.” (Jesus taught His followers to separate from unbelievers for the unbeliever’s ultimate benefit - good.) Unbelievers need the witness of Christian conduct as laid out in the holy scriptures. (Followers of Jesus can’t in good conscious assimilate with pagan time keepers, idol worshipers, nor can they inner-marry with unbelievers; less God’s Way be diluted to a ’believer that type’ religion. (History documents and prophecy is laid out; many have been and many will be, persecuted and killed for these Godly principled beliefs.)

The difference in Christian teachings and radical human ideologies is, “God’s gifted spirit in Christians causes a love and respect; even to those who would be God’s enemies.” That principle is taught through out the holy scriptures, Proverbs is a good one. (If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat, and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink, for you will heap coals of fire on his head, and the Lord will reward you.” Proverbs 25:21-22) “

Worldly religions such at the Judeans in Jesus’ day and the many divided denominations in our day take offence at Jesus and His apostles words regarding “who belongs to God.” Consider and apply Jesus’ terminology as John recorded, in view of today’s many religions ideologies.

(John 8:43-44; Jesus said; “Why don’t you understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot accept My teaching. You people are from your father the devil, and you want to do what your father desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.”

Jesus would use these same words to ‘believer that types’ spouting denominational persuasions. Jesus taught ‘the truth’ not ‘a truth’ as the God Squad team attempted.

(John 8:45-47; “But because I am telling you the truth, you do not believe Me. Who among you can prove Me guilty of any sin? If I am telling you the truth, why don’t you believe Me? (47) The one who belongs to God listens and responds to God’s words. You don’t listen and respond, because you don’t belong to God.”

Think of the persecution that would be applied, to any persons telling denominations these words today.

(John 8:48-51; The Judeans replied, “Aren’t we correct in saying that You are a Samaritan and are possessed by a demon?” Jesus answered, “I am not possessed by a demon, but I honor My Father – and yet you dishonor Me. (50) I am not trying to get praise for Myself. There is one who demands it, and He also judges. I tell you the solemn truth, if anyone obeys My teaching, he will never see death.”

Jesus is speaking of “believing IN people” to whom God the Father imputes Jesus’ spirit to. Remember Hebrews 12:22-24? Review it. Now the Judeans response was from their fleshly inherited from Adam nature.

(John 8:52-55; Then the Judeans responded, “Now we know you’re possessed by a demon! Both Abraham and the prophets died, and yet you say, ‘If anyone obeys My teaching, he will never experience death.’ (53) You aren’t greater than our father Abraham who died, are you? And the prophets died too! Who do you claim to be?” Jesus replied, “If I glorify Myself, My glory is worthless. The one who glorifies Me is My Father, about whom you people say, ‘He is our God.’ Yet you do not know Him, but I know Him. If I were to say that I do not know Him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know Him, and I obey His teaching.”

These Judeans, Pharisees, Sadducees and religion ideologies in our day don’t have the understanding knowledge Believers IN have today as found in Hebrews 1:. John 1:1-5 and Colossians 1:15-20. The divided denominational thinking from the beginning has been fleshly.

Jesus continues;  (John 8:56;“Your father Abraham was overjoyed to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”

Believing IN Abraham, David, Moses and all God called Believed IN the Messiah’s coming.

(John 8:57-59; Then the Judeans replied, “You are not yet fifty years old! Have you seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “I tell you the solemn truth, before Abraham came into existence, I am!” Then they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out from the temple area.”)

Jesus added; (If I do not perform the deeds of My Father, do not believe Me. But if I do them, even if you do not believe Me, believe the deeds, so that you may come to know and understand that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me.” John 10:38.)

What an astonishing revelation to the Judeans at that time! (Jesus the Creator is the I AM.) Each apostle believed IN this absolute truth and taught it.

Jesus’ apostles used similar words when identifying Jesus’ followers and His fleshly brother by birth became a believer IN. James too taught the truth, not a truth.

(James 1:1; “From James, a slave of God and the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes dispersed abroad. Greetings!”

James was converted to Jesus’ Way some time after His resurrection, was gifted with God’s energizing Holy Spirit and proclaimed Jesus’ good news.

Joy in Trials for those gifted to know, God the Father and God the Son.

(James 1:2-8; “My brothers and sisters, consider it nothing but joy when you fall into all sorts of trials, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect effect, so that you will be perfect and complete, not deficient in anything. (5) But if anyone is deficient in wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without reprimand, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed around by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord, since he is a double-minded individual, unstable in all his ways.”)

Believers IN can only boast in the Lord.

(James 1:9- “Now the believer of humble means should take pride in his high position. But the rich person’s pride should be in his humiliation, because he will pass away like a wildflower in the meadow. For the sun rises with its heat and dries up the meadow; the petal of the flower falls off and its beauty is lost forever. So also the rich person in the midst of his pursuits will wither away. (12) Happy is the one who endures testing, because when he has proven to be genuine, he will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love Him. (13) Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desires. Then when desire conceives, it gives birth to sin, and when sin is full grown, it gives birth to death. (16) Do not be led astray, my dear brothers and sisters. All generous giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or the slightest hint of change. (18) By His sovereign plan He gave us birth through the message of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of all He created.”)

We are “born from above” by being gifted to believe IN The Truth. We believers IN can understand why the world and its religious ideologies hated Jesus and hates us.
