Jesus’ Gospel Revealed to Prophets, Apostles and Believers, chapter 8

(To 8,141 in resident churches: people God is making temples of His spirit.) 12/11/17,  God’s 9th month, Kislev 23, 5778 until sunset.

According to Jesus professing Christians celebrating pagan holidays, “neither know Him nor God the Father.” Unbelievers are taught to judge outwardly, according to tradition, and what’s politically expedient. Jesus’ apostle John wrote Jesus’ Words, saying as much when speaking to mostly Israelites of the time.”

(John 8:15-20; You people judge by outward appearances; I do not judge anyone. But if I judge, My evaluation is accurate, because I am not alone when I judge, but I and the Father who sent Me do so together. (17) It is (in your law that the testimony of two men is true. I testify about Myself and the Father who sent Me testifies about Me.” (19) Then they began asking Him, “Who is your father?” Jesus answered, “You do not know either Me or My Father. If you knew Me you would know My Father too.” (Jesus spoke these words near the offering box while He was teaching in the temple courts. No one seized Him because His time had not yet come.”) The reason Jesus gives for His evaluation being accurate is, “I and the Father who sent Me evaluate together.”

We do repeat certain text of scripture often for the benefit of new subscribers. Study Jesus’ revelations about His and God the Father’s deity. (See John 1:1-5, Heb 1:1-4, Colossians 1:15-20 and Genesis 1:) Proclaiming these truths to unbelievers causes a disdain for we who proclaim it. Jesus, His prophets and apostles caused much upheaval teaching against politically expediencies.

Jesus was the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph and Moses. Jesus is the spokesman that said; “let there be light.” It was the Lord God ’Jesus’ that taught through Moses; “that His people were not to learn the ways of the neighboring pagans.” However they did and were scattered as promised. Today’s professing denominational minded Christians say in regard to celebrating pagan times, “we aren’t worshiping, it’s just for fun.” However they can’t excuse why they put many times more effort into celebrating times set aside for pagan times opposed to God’s set aside times. Times, the Lord God, ‘Jesus’ set aside for His people.

God’s Sabbaths are holy to Himself and His chosen people. They foreshadow and look back to His plan for our and the world’s saving. Burdensome times to people who love this world’s system of things, but not for His people. Burdensome to people who’s priorities are “traditions of men.” The following is a glimpse at what God’s Sabbaths are about, not intended to be all in all. See God’s Word at Leviticus 23: for a summation of His Sabbaths.

The weekly Sabbath is for rest from doing traditional work. Followers of Jesus observe it because it’s commanded, know it foreshadows Satan’s removal and peace on earth. No other weekly worship observance is God ordained.

The Passover season with it’s first two annual Sabbaths is for remembering Jesus, “as The Lamb of God who shed His blood for the remission of sin.” Israel’s deliverance from Egypt and spiritual Israelites deliverance from this world’s system of things. Removing leavening pictures putting sins out from our lives as we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Savior  ‘Jesus’ and God the Father.

Pentecost; “the third annual Sabbath” looks back to Jesus’ physically feeding the Israelites forty years as they traveled toward the promised land and foreshadowed God’s miraculously spiritually feeding His people on that Pentecost after Jesus’ ascension. His spirit nature put in the minds of His chosen, making them AT ONE with Himself. And looks forward to it’s millennial fulfillment as Jesus prophesied through His prophet Joel.

Trumpets: “the fourth annual Sabbath” looks to the literal first resurrection, when followers of Jesus will be gifted with spiritual bodies like Jesus’.

Atonement; “the fifth annual Sabbath” looks forward to our being AT ONE with Jesus and God the Father. Ruling with Jesus in a capacity of His choosing.

Feast of Tabernacles; “the sixth annual Sabbath” and six days following looks to Jesus‘ with His Saints millennial rule; as does the seventh day weekly Sabbath.

Last Great Day: “the seventh of seven annual Sabbaths” foreshadows final judgment. When the wheat is separated from the chaff. The time Jesus revealed to John and recorded at Revelations 21:8. A second death to unbelievers.

The first covenant between the Lord God ‘Jesus’ and physical Israel was a forerunner to the second, faith covenant. The first covenant included Israelites agreeing to obey God and the Lord God ’Jesus’ promising to be their God. When the Lord God ’Jesus’ “the Testator of the old died” the old covenant was annulled and a new faith covenant instituted.

It was our Lord God and Savior Jesus, who set up a semblance of the heavenly temple and God’s throne, through Moses and Aaron. The writer of Hebrews, “we believe to be Jesus’ apostle Paul” had knowledge of the temple workings as laid out by Jesus to Moses, Paul gives overview of the temple services to followers of Jesus in “Hebrews.”. Physical sacrifices and doings looked forward to their spiritual counterparts. The Lord Jesus’ commanding animal blood sacrifices, looking forward to His own. The physical washings, cleansing, removing leavening and even circumcision, looked forward to Jesus’ spiritual cleansing us of our sins. (Gifted saving faith in Jesus, immersing and clothing in Him makes for a circumcision of heart.) Circumcision of heart/minds; looks to Jesus’ examples and Ways being imputed to Believers IN. Through Jesus only, people can be saved from eternal death and inherit eternal life.

Followers of Jesus should firmly hold God’s calendar up “as superior to man’s.” Jesus’ planned fulfillment of His Passover celebration, set forth the events we know as “the Lord’s supper.” Symbolizing the forgiveness of sin by believing IN, immersed and clothed in Him. Drinking a little wine and breaking bread symbolically looks to drinking in Jesus and eating His broken body. Jesus inspired His apostle Paul to write.

(1 Corinthians 5:6-8’ “Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know that a little yeast affects the whole batch of dough? Clean out the old yeast so that you may be a new batch of dough – you “Christians” are, in fact, without yeast. For “because” Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. So then, let us celebrate the festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of vice and evil, but with the bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth.”)

The Feast of Unleavened Bread’s lesson, symbolizes we Christians are the dough without leavening, “that which puffs up - sin” being removed. Terms used in Paul’s Corinthian letter strongly indicate that it was composed during the Passover season.

Paul was dealing with people in the Corinth Church of God; who didn’t understand Passover’s significance, or it’s foreshadowed God’s plan for our saving.

(1Cor 11:17-34; “Now in giving the following instruction I do not praise you, because you come together NOT for the better but for the worse. For in the first place, when you come together as a church I hear there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. (19) For there must in fact be divisions among you, so that those of you who are approved may be evident. (20) Now when you come together at the same place, you are not really eating the Lord’s Supper, “properly.” For when it is time to eat, everyone proceeds with his own supper. One is hungry and another becomes drunk. Do you not have houses so that you can eat and drink? Or are you trying to show contempt for the church of God by shaming those who have nothing? What should I say to you? Should I praise you? I will not praise you for this! (23) For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night in which He was betrayed took bread, and after He had given thanks He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way, He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. Do this, every time you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” (26) For every time you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.” After twilight on Passover and before the annual Sabbath beginning on the fifteenth day of God’s first month is when the Passover should be celebrated, However we recognize the wording. “every time you drink.”

(1Cor 11:27-34; “For this reason, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. (28) A person should examine himself first, and in this way let him eat the bread and drink of the cup For the one who eats and drinks without careful regard for the body eats and drinks judgment against himself. (30) That is why many of you are weak and sick, and quite a few are dead. But IF we examined ourselves, we would not be judged. (32) But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned with the world. So then, my brothers and sisters, when you come together to eat, wait for one another. (34) If anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, so that when you assemble it does not lead to judgment. I will give directions about other matters when I come.”)

Followers of Jesus must look to His Word, seek understanding and worship honestly in spirit and truth.

Some professing Christian groups do their semblance of the Lord’s Supper weekly, others monthly and others quarterly. Why be rebellious? Observe the Lord’s Passover annually? (Note: our new covenant like the old, “separates God’s people from pagans.)

(1 Corinthians 12:1-3; “With regard to spiritual gifts, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. You know that when YOU WERE PAGANS you were often led astray BY speechless idols, however you were led. (3) So I want you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” EXCEPT by the Holy Spirit.”)

Paul isn’t speaking of people vocalizing, when he says, “no one can say.” Paul is saying, “no one can know the Lord except by revelation.” Many DO speak the words “Jesus is Lord” while imagining Him from within their own fleshly minds. (Paul is saying in reality, “WITHOUT the indwelling of the holy spirit, no one knows Jesus as Lord.”) (If one knows Jesus as Lord, it is by revelation and that person is gifted with a Godly desire to obey and be AT ONE with Him; recognizing Him as Lord!

(1Cor 12:4-5; “Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are different ministries, but the same Lord.” )

God’s spiritual imputation, His fathering individuals, is likened to a human fathering in this regard. Differing gifts, talents and ministries are evident.

(1Cor 12:6-11; “And there are different results, but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. To each person the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the benefit of all. (8) For one person is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, and another the message of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another performance of miracles, to another prophecy, and to another discernment of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. (11) It is one and the same Spirit, distributing as He “God” decides to each person, who produces all these things.” )

It‘s God‘s decision! His gifts aren’t for self serving purposes, but to benefit His church. No individual gifted with any one of the gifts listed above, would advertise themselves!

(1Cor 12:12; “For just as the body is one and yet has many members and all the members of the body – though many – are one body, so too is Christ.”) The church of God, “Believers IN” are NOT in competition among themselves nor a denomination in any way. Not for membership or recognition.

(1 Cor 12:13-18; “For in one Spirit we were all baptized “immersed” into one body. Whether Jews or Greeks or slaves or free, we were all made to drink of the one Spirit. (14) For in fact the body is not a single member, but many. If the foot says, “Since I am not a hand, I am not part of the body,” it does not lose its membership in the body because of that. And if the ear says, “Since I am not an eye, I am not part of the body,” it does not lose its membership in the body because of that. (17) If the whole body were an eye, what part would do the hearing? If the whole were an ear, what part would exercise the sense of smell? (18) But as a matter of fact, God has placed each of the members in the body just as HE DECIDED.”) NOTE the past tense “He decided.” When did God decide.? PAUL explained to the Ephesians and all Believers IN.

(Eph 1:3-8; “Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with EVERY spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ. For HE chose us in Christ BEFORE the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in HIS sight in love. (5) He did this by predestining US to adoption as HIS sons through Jesus Christ, according to the pleasure of HIS will – to the praise of the glory of HIS grace that HE has freely bestowed on us in His dearly loved Son. (7) In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace that He lavished on US in all wisdom and insight. ) SEE? It’s all about Jesus! How and when did He do this? By REVELATION to you, when He chose to reveal Himself, “in His timing.”

(Eph 1:9-14; “He did this when He revealed TO us the secret of His WILL, according to His good pleasure that He set forth in Christ, toward the administration of the fullness of the times, TO HEAD UP ALL THINGS in Christ – the things in heaven and the things on earth. (11) In Christ we too have been CLAIMED as God’s OWN possession, since we were PREDESTINED according to the ONE purpose of Him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of His WILL, so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, would be to the praise of His glory. (13) And WHEN you heard The Word of truth (the gospel of your salvation) – when you believed IN Christ – you were MARKED with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit, who is the down payment of our INHERITANCE, until the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.)

(1 Cor 12:19-26; “If they were all the same member, where would the body be? So now there are many members, but one body. (21) The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you,” nor in turn can the head say to the foot, “I do not need you.” (22) On the contrary, those members that seem to be weaker are essential, and those members we consider less honorable we clothe with greater honor, and our un-presentable members are clothed with dignity, but our presentable members do not need this. Instead, God has blended together the body, giving greater honor to the lesser member, so that there may be no division in the body, but the members may have mutual concern for one another. (26) If one member suffers, everyone suffers with it. If a member is honored, all rejoice with it.”)

As the world might say, “this is not rocket science.” Fleshly speaking, we people cannot be trusted in our fleshly inherited nature. Our righteous, holy Creator calls, He reveals, He takes us to His preverbal Potters wheel, He changes our outlook, “nature” and makes us His children, “heirs with Abraham” according to His will and purpose.
