One God, one absolute truth, chapter 3

(To 8,736 “in resident” churches and “people God is calling and make temples of His spirit.”) 1/9/18  God’s 10th month, Tevet 22, 5778 until sunset.

Jesus acknowledged that He was the ‘Son of God’ the Light sent and suggested if we don’t  believe IN Him, believe because of His deeds.

(John 3:19-21; “Now this is the basis for judging: that the Light has come into the world and people loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil deeds hates the Light and does not come to the Light, so that their deeds will not be exposed. (21) But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that it may be plainly evident that his deeds have been done in God.”)

Note that “practicing truth” is the evidence that a person’s deeds are done in God. When truth isn’t being practiced, “it’s evident that we hate the Light. To  believer IN is to, “give up what seems right to our inherited sin nature.” We must realize “God’s Way” is higher than our way. Disobedience amounts to “an evil deed from Jesus’ View.” Consider the fact that “Adam and Eve’s disobedient deed was evil” “thus rather than come to the Light when they heard the Lord in the garden, they hid.” Jesus was the Lord God and the Vine to be obeyed back then as He is today” Jesus explained and John recorded. “

(John 15:1-8; “I am the True Vine and My Father is the gardener. He takes away every branch that does not bear fruit in Me. He prunes every branch that bears fruit so that it will bear more fruit. (3) You ‘believers’ are clean already because of the word that I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the Vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me. (Jesus never desired to be independent of His Father and we should never desire to be independent of Him.)

(5-8; “I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me – and I in him – bears much fruit, because apart from me you can accomplish nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown out like a branch, and dries up; and such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and are burned up. (7) If you remain in Me and My Words remain in you, ask whatever you want, and it will be done for you. My Father is honored by this, that you bear much fruit and show that you are My disciples.”)

If we are in Him and He in us, “we don’t want anything that isn’t within His will.

Ultimately, “all evil is to be burned up.” Jesus explains that He submits to His Father and can do nothing, “except through Him.” Likewise as branches are nurtured by the tree trunk, “we can do nothing except through the Vine, “Jesus.” We should look to Jesus; when planning our deeds and initiatives according to His will: “especially spiritual matters.”

John 5:19-23; So Jesus answered them, “I tell you the solemn truth, the Son can do nothing on His own initiative, but only what He sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, the Son does likewise. (20) For the Father loves the Son and shows Him everything He does, and will show Him greater deeds than these, so that you will be amazed. (21) For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whomever He wishes. (2) Furthermore, the Father does not judge anyone, but has assigned all judgment to the Son, so that all people will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.”)

Likewise He opens our minds and gives understanding through His spirit, “the Holy Spirit.” The Holy Spirit was the helper giving understanding on Pentecost and is likened to the wind when received. Jesus explained. (John 3:7-8; “Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must all be born from above.’ The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”) On that Pentecost, after Jesus’ ascension He sent the Holy Spirit, likened to the wind as it came to each one. Thus, with this knowledge, we conclude, Jesus is speaking of and John is intending to quote, “Holy Spirit” rather than call it “an advocate, helper, comforter, that one, or he” in the following text. (Net Bible translators go to great length in explaining why they chose Advocate rather than comforter in the following text.) When we allow scripture to interpret scripture, “we know John is speaking of the Holy Spirit as “that one guiding to all truth; that one He teaches through.” With this understanding “let’s consider: (John 16:12-16;.

“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear ’understand’ them now. But when the Holy Spirit - “the Spirit of truth” comes, it will guide you into all truth. For the Holy Spirit ‘like Me’ will not speak on it’s own authority, but will speak whatever the it hears, and will tell, ’reveal’ to you what is to come. (14) The Holy Spirit will glorify Me, because it will receive from Me what is mine and will tell ’reveal’ it to you. Everything that the Father has is mine; that is why I said the Spirit will receive from Me what is mine and will tell ’reveal’ it to you. In a little while you will see Me no longer; again after a little while, you will see Me.”

People listening to Jesus back then are like folks today “in that the many want to live according to what seems right to their own fleshly intellect.”  In Jesus’ day the people even made accusations; “saying they were more righteous than Jesus.”

John 8:39 They answered Him, “Abraham is our father!” Jesus replied, “If you are Abraham’s children, you would be doing the deeds of Abraham. But now you are trying to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth I heard from God. Abraham did not do this! (41) You people are doing the deeds of your father. Then they said to Jesus, “We were not born as a result of immorality! We have only one Father, God Himself.” (42) Jesus replied, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I have come from God and am now here. I have not come on my own initiative, but He sent Me. Why don’t you understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot accept My teaching. You people are from your father the devil, and you want to do what your father desires.”)

Regardless of the name people use for their god, “a person’s god is that which they obey.”

(John 10:37-38;” If I do not perform the deeds of My Father, do not believe Me. But if I do them, even if you do not believe Me, believe the deeds, so that you may come to know and understand that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me.”)

When we are gifted to understand Jesus’ deeds, we know Him as the One who, ”Re-created this earth, One being this earth’s and this universe’ sustainer, and it’s all “by the will of God the Father, we are Believers.”

(John 14:10-14; “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you, I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father residing in Me performs His miraculous deeds. Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me, but if you do not believe Me, believe because of the miraculous deeds themselves. (12) I tell you the solemn truth, the person who believes in Me will perform the miraculous deeds that I am doing, and will perform greater deeds than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.”)

To ask in Jesus’ name; “is to ask as an ambassador in Jesus’ nature.”

We have the example of Jesus healing people through Peter as his shadow passed over folks. We look forward to the resurrection, when we are fully in Jesus’ nature and doing miracles according to His will. Even now we need to yield our thinking, “as Jesus.” Jesus explains through His apostle Paul

(Philippians 2:3-11; “Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself. Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well.

(5-7; “You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had, who though He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking on the form of a slave, by looking like other men, and by sharing in human nature.

(8-11; “He humbled Himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death – even . on a cross! As a result God exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow – in heaven and on earth and under the earth – and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.”)

We have evidence of Jesus’ deeds through Moses when He was preparing the deliverance of Israel from Egypt through him. (Satan was allowed to do miracles through his servants too, but Jesus’ through Moses was always superior. That being said, Jesus warned us of demonic miracles in this latter age.) During Israel’s forty year desert wondering; “Jesus feed them and gave them water from a rock.” When in the flesh and with His apostles, “Jesus re-created aged wine from water, re-created bread and fish feeding thousands at least twice, walked on water, resurrected Lazarus to physical life, healed and gave sight to many and miraculously opened His apostles minds to understand the scriptures.”

Worldly religions doctrine is based on fleshly intellectual theory. (Some assume they have an apostle calling, “attempt to make themselves equal to Jesus’ twelve. And or, trust their own intellect.” Either is idolatry! These don’t seem to acknowledge that our Creator God is all knowing, never changing, is planning the beginning and ending. Thus Jesus’ apostle Paul could write the following.

(Eph 1:3-10; “Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ. For He CHOSE us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in His sight in love. (5) He did this by PREDESTING us to adoption as His Sons through Jesus Christ, according to the pleasure of His will – to the praise of the glory of His grace that He has freely bestowed on us in His dearly loved Son. (7) In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace that He lavished on us in all wisdom and insight. (9) He did this when He revealed to us the secret of His will, according to His good pleasure that He set forth in Christ, toward the administration of the fullness of the times, to head up all things in Christ – the things in heaven and the things on earth. In Christ we too have been claimed as God’s own possession, since we were predestined according to the ONE purpose of Him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of His will so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, would be to the praise of His glory. And when you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation) – when you believed in Christ – you were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit, who is the down payment of our inheritance, until the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.”) AND with the Galatians, we Believers are gifted according to His purpose and will. We intend to share Paul re-enforcement, supporting these revealed truth to the Ephesians.
