The Gospel, chapter 15

To: “In Resident Churches of God, all Saints” grace and peace from our God. 10/24/18, God‘s 8th month, Chestven 15, 5779 until sunset.

Since God’s seventh day holy Sabbath is set aside for rest, from doing works of the flesh, since a thousand years is as one day with God, logically Jesus’ return is planned for after six thousand years of Satan’s influence on people. Considering Jesus’ promises to cut time short for the Elect’s sake, we need to be ready. We don’t know, but do have evidence “six thousand years is allocated for people to live according to what seems right to their fleshly mind.” We’re praying God’s Way soon be done on earth. God’s set aside seven annual Sabbaths is a strong indication of the same.

Schools of so called higher learning with differing doctrinal positions offer doctrinal degrees in religious theology. Which is nonsense to God and His called out people, since Jesus is the head of His church.

(Eph 2:20-22; “So then you ’gentiles’ are no longer foreigners and non-citizens, but you are fellow citizens with the Saints and members of God’s household, because you have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the Cornerstone. In Him the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”) People gifted to believe IN Jesus are His church family, temples of His spirit.

(Hebrews 4:14-16; “Therefore since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession ‘profession.’ For we do not have a high priest incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin. Therefore let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace whenever we need help.”)

When we recognize our inherited from Adam weaknesses, we need to confess them to God and ask for spiritual strength to overcome them. A near perfect example is the apostle Paul’s who only recognized his nature after Jesus revealed Himself. He called himself a Pharisee of Pharisees, was educated in the workings of the temple services and Aaron’s responsibility as high priest. Paul had a fleshly religious understanding before being called and gifted with spiritual revelations. After conversion, he understood that God made Moses “as a god to the Israelites and Aaron their high priest.”

(Hebrews 5:1-10; “For every high priest is taken from among the people and appointed to represent them before God, to offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins. He “the high priest” is able to deal compassionately with those who are ignorant and erring, since he also is subject to weakness and for this reason he is obligated to make sin offerings for himself as well as for the people. (4) And no one assumes this honor on his own initiative, but only when called to it by God, as in fact Aaron was. So also Christ did not glorify Himself in becoming high priest, but the One who glorified Him was God, “the Father” who said to Him, “You are My Son! Today I have fathered You, ‘begotten you.’” (5) as also in another place God says, “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.” (Quote from Psalms 110:4) (7) During His earthly life Christ offered both requests and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the One who was able to save Him from death and He was heard because of His devotion. Although He was a Son, He learned obedience through the things He suffered. And by being perfected in this way, He ‘Jesus’ became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, (10) and He was designated by God as high priest in the order of Melchizedek.”) Remember the Potters wheel analogy? Since Jesus “learned obedience through things suffered, was perfected in this way, we followers of Jesus need to recognize our sufferings as disciplinary training.

No other could individually serve as high priest in the order of Melchizedek. King David was given to understand.

(Psalms 110:1-7; “Here is the Lord’s (God the Father’s) proclamation to my Lord: (the Son of God - Jesus) “Sit down at My right hand until I make Your enemies your footstool!” The Lord “God the Father” extends Your dominion from Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! Your people willingly follow You when You go into battle. On the holy hills at sunrise the dew of Your youth belongs to You. The Lord makes this promise on oath and will not revoke it: “You are an eternal priest after the pattern of Melchizedek.” O sovereign Lord, at Your right hand He strikes down kings in the day He unleashes His anger. He executes judgment against the nations; He fills the valleys with corpses; He shatters their heads over the vast battlefield. From the stream along the road He drinks; then He lifts up His head.”)

The characteristics of Jesus as Melchizedek is revealed at Hebrews 7:

Satan is the god of this world and as such will lead the nations to resist Jesus’ rule and likely use gentiles to overrun Jerusalem. Remember Jesus’ prophecy? (Matt 24:15-28; “So when you see the abomination of desolation – spoken about by Daniel the prophet – standing in the holy place (let the reader understand) then those in Judea must flee to the mountains. The one on the roof must not come down to take anything out of his house and the one in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing their babies in those days! (20) Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. For then there will be great suffering unlike anything that has happened from the beginning of the world until now, or ever will happen. And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved. But for the sake of the Elect those days will be cut short. Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe him. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the Elect. (25) Remember, I have told you ahead of time. So then, if someone says to you, ‘Look, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe him. For just like the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so the coming of the Son of Man will be. Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.”)

Pray that some of these prophecies fit Paul’s words at (1Cor 13:8-10; Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part but when what is perfect comes, the partial will be set aside.”) As always study the whole.

For the Elect’s sake, Jesus may come before some of these prophecies are fulfilled. If not, hateful people are going to overrun Jerusalem.

(Zachariah 14:1-15; “A day of the Lord is about to come when your possessions will be divided as plunder in your midst. For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to wage war; the city will be taken, its houses plundered, and the women raped. Then half of the city will go into exile, but the remainder of the people will not be taken away. (3) Then the Lord will go to battle and fight against those nations, just as He fought battles in ancient days. On that day Jesus’ feet will stand on the Mount of Olives which lies to the east of Jerusalem and the Mount of Olives will be split in half from east to west, leaving a great valley. Half the mountain will move northward and the other half southward. Then you will escape through My mountain valley, for the mountains will extend to Azal. Indeed, you will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of King Uzziah of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come with all His holy ones with Him. On that day there will be no light – the sources of light in the heavens will congeal. It will happen in one day (a day known to the Lord); not in the day or the night, but in the evening there will be light. Moreover, on that day living waters will flow out from Jerusalem, half of them to the eastern sea and half of them to the western sea; it will happen both in summer and in winter. (9) The Lord will then be king over all the earth. In that day the Lord will be seen as One with a single name. All the land will change and become like the Arabah (likely as the name of the rift valley running from the Sea of Galilee via the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba) from Geba to Rimmon, south of Jerusalem; and Jerusalem will be raised up and will stay in its own place from the Benjamin Gate to the site of the First Gate and on to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the royal winepresses. (11) And people will settle there, and there will no longer be the threat of divine extermination – Jerusalem will dwell in security. But this will be the nature of the plague with which the Lord will strike all the nations that have fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh will decay while they stand on their feet, their eyes will rot away in their sockets, and their tongues will dissolve in their mouths. (13) On that day there will be great confusion from the Lord among them; they will seize each other and attack one another violently. Moreover, Judah will fight at Jerusalem, and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be gathered up – gold, silver, and clothing in great abundance. This is the kind of plague that will devastate horses, mules, camels, donkeys, and all the other animals in those camps.”

(Zach 14:16-21; “Then all who survive from all the nations that came to attack Jerusalem will go up annually to worship the King, the Lord who rules over all, and to observe the Feast of Tabernacles. But if any of the nations anywhere on earth refuse to go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord who rules over all, they will get no rain. If the Egyptians will not do so, they will get no rain – instead there will be the kind of plague which the Lord inflicts on any nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. This will be the punishment of Egypt and of all nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles. (20) On that day the bells of the horses will bear the inscription “Holy to the Lord.” The cooking pots in the Lord’s temple will be as holy as the bowls in front of the altar. Every cooking pot in Jerusalem and Judah will become holy in the sight of the Lord who rules over all, so that all who offer sacrifices may come and use some of them to boil their sacrifices in them. On that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the Lord who rules over all.”) (As always study the whole text prayerfully) Remember Jesus is the Revelator.

(Rev 6:13-16; “Then I saw three unclean spirits that looked like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of the demons performing signs who go out to the kings of the earth to bring them together for the battle that will take place on the great day of God, the All-Powerful. (Look! I will come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays alert and does not lose his clothes so that he will not have to walk around naked and his shameful condition be seen.) Now the spirits gathered the kings and their armies to the place that is called Armageddon in Hebrew.”)

How should we be clothed? With Jesus! (See Matthew 6:30 & Luke 12:28)
