The Gospel according to Luke, chapter 28

To: The Family of God, “His Church” people being made atOne with Him, & scattered Israelites (1/10/19, God 11th month, Sh’vat 4, until sunset.

Self righteousness can be inherited but more likely develops from people’s trust in their intellect. When trusted as a guide to truth, “one’s own intellect becomes their god.” (Luke 18:9-14; “Jesus also told this parable to some who were confident that they were righteous and looked down on everyone else. “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed about himself like this: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people: extortionists, unrighteous people, adulterers – or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give a tenth of everything I get.’ The tax collector, however, stood far off and would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, be merciful to me, sinner that I am!’ I tell you that this man went down to his home justified rather than the Pharisee. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”) Vanity shows it’s self in many ways. Attempting to be overly humble is vanity. Law keeping can be vanity. Practicing God’s Way, because we love Him, is to love God and neighbor, without expecting praise.

(Luke 18:15-17; “Now people were even bringing their babies to Jesus for him to touch. But when the disciples saw it, they began to scold those who brought them. But Jesus called for the children, saying, “Let the little children come to Me and do not try to stop them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”) Jesus was blessing the little children, (See Mark’s account at 10:15-16) After taking little children in His arms, He placed His hands on them and blessed them, He was not putting them in His kingdom.

(Luke 18:18-30; “Now a certain ruler asked Jesus, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’” (21) The man replied, “I have wholeheartedly obeyed all these laws since my youth.” When Jesus heard this, He said to him, “One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.” (23) But when the man heard this he became very sad, for he was extremely wealthy. When Jesus noticed this, He said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” (26) Those who heard this said, “Then who can be saved?” JESUS replied, “What is impossible for mere humans is possible for God.” And Peter said, “Look, we have left everything we own to follow You!” Then Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, there is no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of God’s kingdom who will not receive many times more in this age – and in the age to come, eternal life.”) “In the age to come, eternal life?” A resurrection! Jesus is not speaking to the multitudes here, nor is He speaking in parables. Jesus quoted five of His own commandments to the young ruler, then reveals the young man’s heart. Many will repent for having lived according to what seemed right and be fathered during Jesus’ millennial kingdom!

(Luke 18:31-34; “Then Jesus took the twelve aside and said to them, “Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written about the Son of Man by the prophets will be accomplished. For The Son of Man will be handed over to the Gentiles; He will be mocked, mistreated, and spat on. They will flog Him severely and kill Him. Yet on the third day He will rise again.” (34) But the twelve understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them and they did not grasp what Jesus meant.”) Hidden even to those following Him until after His resurrection. Spiritual truth is hidden in this age to all but the called. It’s preplanned “the many will continue on the broad road that leads to eternal death until God the Father reveals Jesus. To His apostles, Jesus personally revealed His own persecutions, resurrection, ascension and His previous revealing to His prophets.

God the Son’s becoming the sacrificial Lamb. calling twelve apostles, giving spiritual understandings and building His New Covenant church thorough them was preplanned. Jesus’ second coming, His millennial reign, Satan bound, knowledge of Him covering like water the sea, Israel’s second deliverance and their occupying to the borders promised Abraham, evil’s destruction and New Jerusalem coming down with God the Father is preplanned. It’s twelve foundations of New Jerusalem being named for the twelve apostles of the Lamb and it’s twelve gates for the twelve tribes of Israel is preplanned. (Revelations 21:9-27; One of the seven angels spoke to me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb!” (His Church) So He took me away in the Spirit to a huge, majestic mountain and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. The city possesses the glory of God; its brilliance is like a precious jewel, like a stone of crystal-clear jasper. It has a massive, high wall with twelve gates, with twelve angels at the gates, and the names of the twelve tribes of the nation of Israel are written on the gates. (14-18) The wall of the city has twelve foundations, and on them are the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. The angel who spoke to me had a golden measuring rod with which to measure the city and its foundation stones and wall. Now the city is laid out as a square, its length and width the same. He measured the city with the measuring rod at fourteen hundred miles (its length and width and height are equal). He also measured its wall, one hundred forty-four cubits according to human measurement, which is also the angel’s. The city’s wall is made of jasper and the city is pure gold, like transparent glass. (Each of it’s foundations decorated with various precious stones.) (21:27; Now I saw no temple in the city, because the Lord God – the All-Powerful – and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because the glory of God lights it up, and its lamp is the Lamb. The nations will walk by its light and the kings of the earth will bring their grandeur into it. Its gates will never be closed during the day (and there will be no night there.) They will bring the grandeur and the wealth of the nations into it, (27) but nothing ritually unclean will ever enter into it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or practices falsehood, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.”) Study the whole text. (All preplanned from the foundation of the world. see Matt 13:35 & 25:35, John 17:34, Eph. 1:4, Heb 4:3, 1Pet 1:20, Rev 13:8 & 17:8.

Defining Godly love is spiritually gifted to people God puts in His family, “His church.” We didn’t choose our parents and siblings, nor can we choose our spiritual re-birth “fathering.” We can’t choose our brothers and sisters in Christ! We’re commanded to love God and our spiritual family as ourselves! These are our neighbors in God‘s view. We can’t love God without realizing He loved us first. He does the revealing, imputing His loving spirit in us, to make us “atOne spiritually with Himself. This truth is verified spiritually through Jesus’ apostle John who defines Godly love.

(1 John 4:7-10; “Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been fathered by God and knows God. The person who does not love does not know God, because God is love. (9) By this the love of God is revealed in us: that God has sent His One and only Son into the world so that we may live through Him. (10) In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that God loved us and sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.”) Revealed to us? Meaning: spiritual understanding is gifted! Live through Jesus? Meaning: practice living according to the pattern He established. Jesus’ atoning sacrifice was always in God the Father’s plan as the only means, whereby He’d turn from divine wrath caused by sin.

(John 3:16; “For this is the way God loved the world: He gave His One and only Son, so that everyone who believes IN Him will not perish but have eternal life.”) Only people gifted to believe IN Jesus have eternal life!

(1John 4:15-19; “If anyone confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God resides in him and he in God. And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has in us. God is love, and the one who resides in, “Godly” love resides in God, and God resides in him. By this love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment, because just as Jesus is, so also are we in this world. (18) There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears punishment has not been perfected in love. (19) We love because He loved us first.”) Though Jesus ask His Father, “if possible let this cup pass from Me” His perfect love held back fear of death. (See Matt 28:39)

Through gifted revelation, “we know the love God gifts us with.” Even without spiritual guidance; it’s obvious that the love Jesus defined through John here “is different than human inherited instinctive love.” Which is a love like our physical parents should have taught us to develop, for family, friends and the world at large. (God the Father so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that “whosoever believes IN Him would not perish but inherit eternal life.”) (God the Son so loved the world that He atoned for the world’s sins by shedding His blood.) On that last trip with His apostles to Jerusalem, Jesus foretold the events. (Review Luke 18:31-34)

The twelve didn’t understand these things because they were yet to be given. Likewise, professing Christians don’t comprehend the love of God, until they’re called and its given! What love!

Jesus proceeded to Jerusalem, riding a donkey, kept the Passover and submitted to His death for the remission of our sins. Called followers of Jesus love Him with the realization that He loved them first. Believe IN because Jesus’ faith is gifted. Believe IN His prophetic Words as quoted in Matthew 24:, His prophesy through Daniel, Isaiah, John and others. (Jesus’ revelations to John is, “we know the whole world is deceived by followers of demonically influenced religions promoting a demonic calendar. We know its natural that they bring forward the same old pagan ideas Satan had the world observing before the flood and practiced at Sodom. Followers of Jesus aren’t surprised that the love of the many has waxed cold and that the world’s attention is geared to entertainment likened to the old pagan Roman cultures.
