Renunciation and Apostasy, chater 1

To: “His Church” People gifted with a desire to be atOne with God. 2/8/19 God’s 12th month, day 3, Adar 1, 5779 until sunset.

Jude, one of Jesus’ brothers desired to write about our common salvation, but was compelled to write about the apostasy, “a renunciation of The Faith” he was witnessing. Judas, James and all Jesus’ family had witnessed His life, ministry, miracles and deeds through when He was crucified, resurrected, showing Himself alive and opening His apostles minds to understand the scriptures. Brothers Jude and James were gifted with believing IN faith as were His apostles. Family was mindful of kinship with Jesus and yet knew all believers IN were God’s family.

(Luke 8:19-21; “Now Jesus’ mother and His brothers came to Him, but they could not get near Him because of the crowd. So He was told, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, wanting to see You.” But He replied to them, “My mother and My brothers are those “who hear the word of God and do it.”) Brothers, Judas, James, Joseph, Simon and sisters were likely with Mary and Joseph on the occasion when they turned back to Jerusalem after a Passover season celebration looking for Jesus.

(Luke 2:41-51; “Now Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem every year for the feast of the Passover. When Jesus was twelve years old, they went up according to custom. But when the feast was over, as they were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. His parents did not know it, but (because they assumed that he was in their group of travelers) they went a day’s journey. Then they began to look for him among their relatives and acquaintances. When they did not find him, they returned to Jerusalem to look for him. (46- After three days they found Jesus in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Jesus were astonished at His understanding and His answers. When His parents saw Him, they were overwhelmed. His mother said to Him, “Child, why have you treated us like this? Look, your father and I have been looking for you anxiously.” But He replied, “Why were you looking for Me? Didn’t you know that I must be in My Father’s house?” Yet His parents did not understand the remark He made to them. Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was obedient to them. But His mother kept all these things in her heart.”)

Jude knew, “The Common Salvation was for the called.” Particularly, he and James’ overview of Jesus’ ministry included many parables He told the populations at large, “so they could not understand.” They understood, “the New Covenant was like the old, “in that God chose by promised grace and delivered through, “God the Son” as were the Israelites from Egypt. That God’s New Covenant, unlike the old, “was with called out individuals to be made atOne with Himself through Jesus’ shed blood for the remission of their sin. Making each a spiritually reborn member of His family. This understanding still isn’t for the populations at large, but the predestined.

(Matthew 13:10-15; “Then the disciples came to Jesus and said, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” He replied, “You, “disciples” have been given the opportunity to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but they have not. For whoever has will be given more and will have an abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. For this reason I speak to them in parables: Although they see they do not see, and although they hear they do not hear nor do they understand. And concerning them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: ‘You will listen carefully yet will never understand, you will look closely yet will never comprehend. (15) For the heart of this people has become dull; they are hard of hearing, and they have shut their eyes, so that they would not see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their hearts and turn, “repent” and I would heal them.’”) Jesus gave Isaiah this parable long before, “See Isaiah 6:9-10.” (A parable both conceals and reveals, depending on whether one is open to understand what’s taught.)

People who aren’t gifted to understand Jesus’ deity, cannot understand the mysteries of His kingdom. (His deity is revealed at John 1:1-5, Col 1:15-20 & Hebrews 1:) A good example is the many in Jesus’ hometown of Nazareth not understanding.

(Matt 13:53-58; “Now when Jesus finished these parables, He moved on from there. Then He came to His hometown and began to teach the people in their synagogue. They were astonished and said, “Where did this man get such wisdom and miraculous powers? Isn’t this the carpenter, “Joseph’s” son? Isn’t His mother named Mary? And aren’t His brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? And aren’t all His sisters here with us? Where did He get all this?” And so they took offense at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own house.” And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.”) BELIEVING IN is key! The many claiming to believe simply “believe that” only the called and chosen are gifted to believe IN. Paul explained to God’s church at Rome.

(Rom 1:5-7; “Through Him ’Jesus’ we have received grace and our apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles on behalf of His name. You also are among them, called to belong to Jesus Christ. To all those loved by God in Rome, called to be Saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!.) It’s a great mystery to the world, no matter the intellect, “spiritual understanding can only be gifted.” Unbelievers are hostile to this “spirit of truth” reasoning that God is unjust to have planned it this way.

Renunciation of Jesus’ Way.

Jude’s definition of apostasy is, “imagining and making Jesus fit a fleshly rational view of their god.” (A worldly definition of love; if you please.) The apostasy amounts to hostile defiance and practicing abominable to God things, such as, making images, sun - planetary worship, changing times and condoning idolatrous sexuality.

Jesus knew the nature He created in mankind from the foundation of the world, knew and allowed Satan’s lie. Previous to Jesus’ coming in the flesh, He revealed through Moses, “People would turn back to idolatry when the power of His representation was lifted.”

(Deut 18:9-14; “When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, you must not learn the abhorrent practices of those nations. There must never be found among you anyone who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, anyone who practices divination, an omen reader, a soothsayer, a sorcerer, one who casts spells, one who conjures up spirits, a practitioner of the occult, or a necromancer. (12) Whoever does these things is abhorrent to the Lord and because of these detestable things the Lord your God is about to drive them out from before you. You must be blameless before the Lord your God. Those nations that you are about to dispossess listen to omen readers and diviners, but the Lord your God has not given you permission to do such things.” (See also Rev 21:8)

Speaking to Israel Moses prophesied Jesus’ coming in the flesh.

(Deut 18:15-17; “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you – from your fellow Israelites; you must listen to Him. This accords with what happened at Horeb in the day of the assembly. You asked the Lord your God: “Please do not make us hear the voice of the Lord our God any more or see this great fire any more lest we die.” (17) The Lord then said to me, “What they have said is good. I will raise up a prophet like you for them from among their fellow Israelites. I will put my words in His mouth and He will speak to them whatever I command. I will personally hold responsible anyone who then pays no attention to the words that prophet speaks in My name.”)

(Jesus knew Jacob’s heirs, physical and spiritual, would turn to abominable practices after His lead through Moses, Joshua, His prophets, judges and His apostles. (Jesus foreknew the current world wide apostasy taking place, allowing Jude to see what would continue until His return.) He knew people would organize and mix pagan ways through the use of His name, knew His followers would be persecuted. Worldly denominations would gain support among a hostile unbelieving populous, organizational persecutions would follow. So, Jesus made the following prophesy.

(John 15:18-19; “If the world hates you, be aware that it hated Me first. If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you do not belong to the world, but I chose you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you.”) The world doesn’t hate Christendom per-say, Moslems, Hinduism etc. The world does hate those who refuse to conform to it’s overall ideology, “Judaism and God’s church particularly.” Jesus inspired His apostle Paul to write.

(Rom 3:1-4; “Therefore what advantage does the Jew have, or what is the value of circumcision? Actually, there are many advantages. First of all, the Jews were entrusted with the oracles of God. What then? If some did not believe, does their unbelief nullify the faithfulness of God? Absolutely not! Let God be proven true, and every human being shown up as a liar, just as it is written: “so that you will be justified in your words and will prevail when you are judged.” (Quote from Psalms 51:4) Oracles of God include His calendar, wisdom, prophetic, mysterious or enigmatic - parables etc. The point; Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Heb 13:8.. The world and its followers are evolving traditionalist, condoners of falsehood.

It isn’t the nature of unbelievers to LOVE Jesus as He manifest Himself to be in the holy scriptures “but to love a Jesus of their making.” (Though impossible, “worldly Evangelicals attempt to make Jesus’ Way, fit what seems right to their fleshly minds.) Jude was seeing the fulfillment of Jesus’ words as he wrote about the apostate.

(John 15:20-21; “Remember what I told you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they obeyed My Word, they will obey yours too. But they will do all these things to you on account of My name, because they do not know the One who sent Me.”) Do some who know better follow the world to avoid persecution? Generally they don’t know the Jesus that Re-created earth from chaos, created Adam, gave Moses the ten commandments, called twelve apostles and is going to return to bring salvation?

(John 15:22-24; “If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. But they no longer have any excuse for their sin. The one who hates Me hates My Father too. If I had not performed among them the miraculous deeds that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have seen the deeds and have hated both Me and My Father.”)

Jesus isn’t saying previous generations were not guilty of sin, rather He’s saying “if He hadn’t come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of the sin of rejecting Him and His Father He came to reveal.

Not only did Jesus speak to people in the apostolic age, He spoke to the previous ages through Noah, Abraham, the prophets etc. Now we have His printed Word, His teaching through His apostles and His revealing to each called individual.

Jesus said to His apostles. (John 15:25-27; “Now this happened to fulfill the word that is written in their, “the Israelite’s” law, ‘They hated Me without reason.’ (26) When the Advocate comes, whom I will send you from the Father – the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father – it will testify about Me, and you also will testify, because you have been with Me from the beginning.”) Jesus; “spirit of truth” cannot tolerate any degree of paganism. His spirit of truth reveals God’s Way. (When Jesus came, “as prophesied, He found this world’s populations in the same state of confusion, existing today. His chosen “the Israelites” had been dispersed to pagan lands because of their disobedience. Few in number; “mostly the tribe of Judah” had been allowed to return to Judea; occupied by Roman governors who allowed temple restoration and priesthood reestablished. Jesus gave honor to that priesthood, sending some He healed to the priest according to the law.
