Mockeries of Truth, chapter 3

7/1/19, God’s 3rd month, 29th day of Sivan 5,779 until sunset.

To: People called to be atOne with God the Father and God the Son.  “Heirs with Abraham

God delivered the Israelites “by promise” to Abraham, not for any good in them. Likewise when Jesus is revealed to us and “we’re gifted with a desire to know Him” it isn’t because of any good in us, “but by predestined promise that we be heirs with Abraham through Jesus, the Descendent.” Consider Paul’s explanation regarding his deliverance from darkness.

(Galatians 1:11-17; “Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is “not of human origin.” For I did not receive it or learn it from any human source; instead I received it by a revelation of Jesus Christ. For you have heard of my former way of life in Judaism, how I was savagely persecuting the church of God and trying to destroy it.) (You and I may not have went out of our way to persecute Believers IN, but to have lived according to what seemed right to our fleshly nature was idolatry. Until we were called Jesus revealed and we given a desire to know God intimately we were by nature hostile toward total obedience.)

(Gal 1:14-17; “I ‘Paul’ was advancing in Judaism beyond many contemporaries in my nation, and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my ancestors. But when the One “God the Father” who set me apart from birth and called Me by His grace was pleased to reveal His Son in me so that I could preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not go to ask advice from any human being, (17) nor did I go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before me, but right away I departed to Arabia, and then returned to Damascus.”) (All followers of Jesus are called by God the Father’s grace and Jesus revealed. No one should seek out a denomination of choice, but look to God for direction.)

Paul realized that God set him aside at birth and called him by His grace; revealing Jesus Christ as his Shepherd. It was Jesus speaking to Paul when he was in route to Damascus. Paul didn’t immediately go to Jerusalem to consult the apostles regarding how he should live. He didn’t need to discover how Peter, John and James were presenting Jesus; “rather he fasted and yielded to Jesus’ revelations to himself.” When God gifts us with the desire to know Him, we need to seek, study independently, meditate and prayerfully seek spiritual gifted understanding.

(Gal 1:18-24; “Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas, “Peter” and get information from him and I stayed with him fifteen days. But I saw none of the other apostles except James the Lord’s brother. I assure you that, before God, I am not lying about what I am writing to you! Afterward I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia. But I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. They were only hearing, “the one who once persecuted us is now proclaiming the good news of the faith he once tried to destroy.” So they glorified God because of me.”)

Ask yourself: ‘are today’s organized churches ambassadors of Jesus’? Not if they mix paganism. God the Father and God the Son are so atOne that God the Father allocated all things to God the Son. Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the first and last. He said and Matthew recorded.

(Mat 11:25-30; At that time Jesus said, “I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,  because You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your gracious will. (27) All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son decides to reveal Him. Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (29) Take My yoke on you and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and my load is not hard to carry.”)

For the most part today’s God’s called people are scattered and “worshiping as strangers in a foreign land as did Abraham.” Governments with their tax exemptions, political correctness and invading apostle impostures want to lord over, “which makes righteous organizing difficult in every nation.” Independent assembling, omitting political correctness and independence from government is the way to freedom of worship.

(Gal 2:1-5; “Then after fourteen years I went up to Jerusalem again with Barnabas, taking Titus along too. I went there because of a revelation and presented to them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. But I did so only in a private meeting with the influential people, to make sure that I was not running – or had not run– in vain. Yet not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, although he was a Greek. Now this matter arose because of the false brothers with false pretenses who slipped in unnoticed to spy on our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, to make us slaves. But we did not surrender to them even for a moment, in order that the truth of the gospel would remain with you.”)

Back then Paul had true called out apostles to consult with. Even then Jesus’ apostles encountered divisionary opponents from many fronts. These were mostly Judean Pharisee and Sadducees with scholarly credential, “desiring to persuade congregations toward a methodology regarding how to be saved. A human invented method does seems logical to fleshly minds. However methodology isn’t God’s way! Study Romans 4:13-25, where Paul gives us Abraham’s example.

Salvation, “gifted immortality” “eternal life and resurrections are spiritually through Jesus. Circumcision and the law of commandments are spiritually magnified through belief IN Jesus. Consider two examples, (1) God’s holy Sabbaths are made for man, “not man for the Sabbaths.” (2) (Matt 5:27-28; “You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to desire her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”)

Physical circumcision isn’t done away “but looks forward more importantly to spiritual circumcision of the heart.” The law isn’t done away, “but looks more importantly to it’s spiritual magnification.” Methodology thinking Pharisees and today‘s organized religions can’t understand gifted immortality, predestined by promised through Belief IN Jesus.

They can’t understand the difference between “Belief IN and Belief that.“ They can’t understand that “eternal life isn’t through attempting to do good, but by grace to the called.

The apostles contending with gentile confusion wasn‘t much different. They couldn’t turn loose of pagan customs any more than the Israelites could the law. Teaching God’s truth always encounters the same basic problems. Ingrained tradition and hanging to old pagan practices is a Satan tool for keeping folks in spiritual darkness.

(2Corinthians 6:14: “Do not become partners with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness?)

May we realize the flesh is weak and Christians need to be mindful of our fleshly nature’s pulls. Even wise Solomon yielded to inherited lustfulness and took pagan wives. (See 1 Kings 11:) We can only point out the pit falls of our inherited nature to the willing. Our vehemently debated personal opinions only aids Satan’s purposes. Dividing families, people groups and nations is one of Satan’s dark purposes. Jesus’ apostle Paul addressed it best, saying; “God is not characterized by disorder but by peace.”

1Cor 14:32-33; (Net bible translation, “disorder and the lack of peace come from ungodly sources.) (The King James translation. “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace as in all churches of the Saints.) A characteristic of  methodology minded people is, “they like to control, dominate and abuse.” When conformity to this world’s system of things is practiced, “participants evolve to an acceptance of demonic ideas practices and opinions that appeal to the fleshly mind.” Again, Jesus’ apostle Paul explains.

(Romans 12:2; “Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God – what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.”)

This world’s system of things is divided by demonically influenced fleshly minded people who “exercise instinctive self righteousness.” Each wants thing their way. Each child is born with it. However even the fleshly minded can overcome many of it’s pulls with self imposed discipline. People can choose their own, or another’s religion. However believers IN God are gifted to understand that both boil down to idolatry.

The only answer is; “seek God’s View, His opinion and His Way regarding all things!” Turn from what seems right to the fleshly mind and turn to God’s Word prayerfully. The Holy Scriptures refer to such turning as, “repentance.” (When people aren’t spiritually led to see the flaws in their own inherited fleshly nature, “they remain where Satan wants them.”) As reviewed in the previous study, “Jesus’ brother James was gifted to understand our inherited nature and shared it with us.” (Basically James said, “when people ask from within their fleshly minds, they aren’t asking humbly with apologetic attitudes, but asking to appease emotions, which are generally confined to, ‘me, myself and mine.’”) Fleshly compassion runs shallow. So, let’s review Paul’s explanation of how a, “Christ-Like mind” should think. (Review Philippians 2:4-8.)

Each apostle advised people to follow them as they followed Jesus. Each clearly stated that God the Father and God the Son revealed themselves and gifted them with spiritual understanding. Love being key in all things. Their prayers were not hindered by the old inherited fleshly nature because their nature had been converted to a nature like Jesus’. Like Jesus, His apostles did not regard equality with God as something desired.

Methodology thinking people lean to their own understanding, “thus desiring equality with God, by choosing for themselves, what’s right, wrong, good and evil.” It’s the desire that appealed to Eve when the old devil said; “God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will open and you will be like divine beings who know good and evil.” Gen 3:5)

Jesus’ desire was to follow His Father’s lead in all things and commanded that we follow Him as He followed our Father. Over and over, each of the four gospel writers, quoted Jesus saying; “I did not come to do My own will, but the Fathers. Each Believer IN, is blessed with the mentality, “love God because He loved us first.”

Jesus’ apostle personally taught from gifted revelation. Paul wasn’t influenced by personalities or the apostles that had been with Jesus before His ascension. We need the same yielding to God mentality. (Studying God’s Word and prayerfully meditating on it, is to wait on His revelations.) Thus grow in revealed faith and knowledge of Him, through His gifted faith to us. After fourteen years Paul went up to Jerusalem, consulted with and shared his experiences with God’s church leaders.

(Gal 2:6-10; “But from those “apostles” who were influential (whatever they were makes no difference to me; God shows no favoritism between people) – those influential leaders added nothing to my message. On the contrary, when they saw that I was entrusted with the gospel to the uncircumcised just as Peter was to the circumcised (8) for He who empowered Peter for his apostleship to the circumcised also empowered me for my apostleship to the Gentiles and when James, Peter and John, who had a reputation as pillars, recognized the grace that had been given to me, they gave to Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship, agreeing that we would go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised. (10) They requested only that we remember the poor, the very thing I also was eager to do.”)

Each apostle was and each Christian is, “led by the oneness spirit of Jesus.” Years later Paul returned to Jerusalem. He’d traveled to many places, encountered divisionary situations from Judaism and gentile leaders who wanted to trample on truth’s freedom and lord over the people.
