Mockeries of Truth, chapter 5

7/4/19, God’s 4th month, 1st day of Tamuz 5,779 until sunset.

To: People called to be atOne with God the Father and God the Son.  “Heirs with Abraham. Observe God’s new moon today.

The divisionary god of this age has all nations bickering. In the USA it’s demonic hatred of everything conservative. The more radical the better from the demonic view. Thankfully followers of Jesus know He’ll bring peace and righteous judgment as His prophetic and perpetual promises to Believers IN unfold. Genuine Christ Like people are praying “time be shortened and that day soon come.” (Matt 24:21-22; For then there will be great suffering unlike anything that has happened from the beginning of the world until now, or ever will happen. And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved. But for the sake of the Elect those days will be cut short.)

(Gal 3:6-8; “Just as Abraham believed ‘IN’ God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, so then understand that those who believe ’IN’ are the sons of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, proclaimed the gospel to Abraham ahead of time, saying, “All the nations will be blessed in you.”)

How is it that all nations will be blessed in Abraham? His DESCENCENT is Jesus! Allow Paul’s explanation.

(Galatians 3:15-16; “Brothers and sisters, I offer an example from everyday life: When a covenant has been ratified, even though it is only a human contract, no one can set it aside or add anything to it. Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his descendents. Scripture does not say, “and to the descendents,” referring to many, but “and to your “DESCENDENT,” referring to One, who is Christ.”

Jesus’ good news promises to Abraham about his descendents inheritances was by promise to the faithful because of his faithfulness. Believing IN God saves. The law was added because of an inherited hard hearted people’s need. Every individual NOT “born from above through faith” needs the law as their schoolmaster.

(Gal 3:17-18; “What I am saying is this: The law that came four hundred thirty years later ‘when Israel was delivered from Egyptian bondage’ does not cancel a covenant previously ratified by God, so as to invalidate the promise. For if the inheritance is based on the law, it is no longer based on the promise, but God graciously gave it to Abraham through the promise.”)

That promise is why Israel’s deliverance was predestined and why Believers IN “the DESCENDENT” are predestined. Meditate on it; if you’re a Believer “did you believe IN because of your smarts, intellect or good works?” Neither was Israel’s deliverance.

(Gal 3:19-24; “Why then was the law given? It was added because of transgressions, until the arrival of the descendant to whom the promise had been made. It ’the law’ was administered through angels by an intermediary. (20) Now an intermediary is not for one party alone, but God is One. (21) Is the law therefore opposed to the promises of God? Absolutely not! For if a law had been given that was able to give life, then righteousness would certainly have come by the law. (There’d be no need for salvation by grace.) (22) But the scripture imprisoned everything and everyone under sin so that the promise could be given – because of the faithfulness of Jesus Christ – to those who believe.”) (Let’s back up to verse 9.)

(Gal 3:9-10; So then those who believe are blessed along with Abraham the Believer. For all who rely on doing the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not keep on doing everything written in the book of the law.””)

Through our inherited from Adam fleshly instinctive nature we can’t keep God’s law, perfectly nor “lovingly.” (Thinking to rely on the law in order to change one’s nature is a curse.)

(Gal 3:11-14; “Now it is clear no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous one will live by faith. But the law is not based on faith, but the one who does the works of the law will live by them. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us (because it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”) in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, so that we could receive the promise of the Spirit by faith.”)

Jesus’ gifted faith to our minds, puts a love of Jesus’ Way in our mind. A love for what Jesus ‘The Descendent’ loves and hatred of what Jesus hates..

Does Paul’s insightful writing to God’s church at Rome differ?

(Romans 6:15-23; “What then? Shall we sin (“shall we practice things God said, don’t do?”) because we are not under law but under grace? Absolutely not! Do you not know that if you present yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or obedience resulting in righteousness? But thanks be to God that though you were slaves to sin, you obeyed from the heart that pattern of teaching you were entrusted to, and having been freed from “the practices of” sin, you became enslaved to “Jesus’” righteousness. (I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh.) For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification. For when you were slaves of sin, you were free with regard to righteousness. (21) So what benefit did you then reap from those things that you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death. But now, freed from sin “practices God said don’t do” and enslaved to God, you have your benefit leading to sanctification, and the end is eternal life. For the payoff of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”) Followers of Jesus are spiritually led to lovingly practice the spiritual intent - ‘spiritual magnification’ of God’s law. Acknowledging all that’s holy to God.

Almighty God: We ask You to help us be the servants You’ve called us to be. Lead us from temptation and make us know that You’re our Deliverer. Thanks for the privilege of asking in the nature of Jesus. AMEN.

When we’re led to subscribe to God’s truth, “know He gave the desire and effort. See Philippines 2:13.

It’s a miraculous event when we’re led to believe IN God’s calling and revealing Himself.” The many saying, “we believe IN” doesn’t make it so. Most those saying “we believe in” actually mean “we believe that” a god of our imagination exist. It’s through gifted faith by grace that Jesus’ revelations of Himself and God the Father are gifted. Jesus taught through Paul that stringently practicing commandments legalistically can’t save. His Way is that we’re called to lovingly believe IN, “when He’s revealed.” (Remember Abraham’s believing God was counted for righteousness.) It’s through God’s grace that we believers IN inherit eternal life with Abraham. (See Galatians 3:29) We Believers IN and Abraham were known before the foundation of the world. Jesus knows each Elect, just as He knew Nathanael.

(John 1:47-51; “Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him and exclaimed, “Look, a true Israelite in whom there is no deceit!” Nathanael asked Him, “How do you know me?” Jesus replied, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” Nathanael answered Him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel!” Jesus said to him, “Because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these. “I tell all of you the solemn truth – you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”)

Believing IN Jesus is to know that He knew and called us, “as He knew each apostle before the foundation of the world and prepared them ahead of time for the mission he’d call them to. (Paul was a worldly Pharisee, God caused his education and his Roman citizenship to be assets.) He was called in spite of himself. Until Jesus revealed Himself, “Paul thought of Jesus much like Judaism does today.” Paul’s teachings are from the combination of Jesus’ revelations, his previous schooling and experiences in Judaism. That’s perhaps more evident when we study the book of Hebrews. Paul made use of all these when he wrote letters to the churches. Jesus’ revelations put a proper perspective on Paul’s education as it does ours. (Review the first part of this study.)

When Paul communicated with people about their being called, saved by promise and grace, “he understood firsthand.” That’s why he shared his Damascus experience. As a Pharisee keeper of the law, “Paul thought keeping the law was the way to eternal life.” Like denominationalist today, “he’d entertain that surely there’s a method by which people can be saved.” He didn’t understand believing IN faith and promises until it was gifted. Afterward he shared his gifted understanding, which is that “stringently; religiously keeping times and rules to gain salvation is idolatrous.”

It’s revealed that God the Father and God the Son are One in purpose. Jesus came to do the will of His Father.

Since Adam’s sinful disobedience, “all his procreated heirs inherited a lawless toward God nature “all born in sin.” Fleshly Israelites and all Adam’s descendents need the law for good and protection. Righteous laws actually separated them from the pagans, taught them how to love God and one another. God knew what the law would become to His stiff necked people. He knew the law would be idolized, “replacing Him in their mind.” He knew people couldn’t understand believing IN, “except they be born from above.”

(Gal 3:23; “Now before “Jesus’” faith came people were held in custody under the law, “kept as prisoners until the coming faith would be revealed and set them free.”)

Until Jesus is revealed and His faith gifted, “people need the law’s guide.” That makes the law good, not bad! Rather God’s laws are the best guardians ever gifted for a fleshly minded people.

(Gal 3:24; “Thus the law had become our “Israelites and gentiles‘” guardian until Christ is revealed, “so afterward we could be declared righteous by Jesus’ faith.”)

That is, “declared righteous by Jesus’ gifted faith living in us making us atOne with Him.” Until Christ? Until the Son of God is revealed to our minds “as He manifest Himself to be in the holy scriptures.” (Until His faith is imputed to our minds!) Until we can say with Paul; “I’ve been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who lives, but Christ lives in me.” Gal 2:20) When the love of God is shed abroad in our minds, “we’re His and we love His oracles.”
