Mockeries of Truth, chapter 7

7/8/19, God’s 4th month, 5th day of Tamuz, 5,779 until sunset.

To: People called to be atOne with God the Father and God the Son.  “Heirs with Abraham.

When it comes to life’s practices and God’s Way, Satan has the majority thinking there’s no such thing as, “the truth or absolutes.” Not surprising to our Creator nor to His people. God is absolute, “His Way, His Truths” are absolutes. Jesus had His prophets foretelling this mental condition revealed to His apostles. “A no absolute teaching” is of the devil. (Followers of Jesus know there’s no moral unity nor spiritual cohesiveness in communities, families and nations when such thinking prevails.) Its Satan’s way “making himself god of this age.” When demonic lies are accepted people are vulnerable to total confusions.

Thinking God’s doctrinal truths differ for different individuals is equally absurd. Such thinking is demonic ploy, “a major divisionary deception Satan has put forth.” “Likewise your truth may not be my truth is absurd.“ Satan’s strategy causes many people groups to assume, “condoning one another’s doctrinal views, “regardless how radical” is the way to peaceful unity.” Whole naïve populations don’t understand that such condoning leads to a progressive moral decline. A decline likened to Sodom and Gomorra and why the Noah day flood.

It’s prophesied, “Satan’s deceptions will cause people to worship an image of the beast and a miracle working demonically led individual, before Jesus returns.” To cap it off, Satan is manifesting himself and his followers as angels of light. Jesus revealed the following to His apostle John and we believers.

(Rev 13:11-18; “Then I saw another beast coming up from the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but was speaking like a dragon. He exercised all the ruling authority of the first beast on his behalf, and made the earth and those who inhabit it worship the first beast, the one whose lethal wound had been healed. (13) He performed momentous signs, even making fire come down from heaven in front of people and, by the signs he was permitted to perform on behalf of the beast, he deceived those who live on the earth. He told those who live on the earth to make an image to the beast who had been wounded by the sword, but still lived. (15) The second beast was empowered to give life to the image of the first beast so that it could speak, and could cause all those who did not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He also caused everyone (small and great, rich and poor, free and slave) to obtain a mark on their right hand or on their forehead. Thus no one was allowed to buy or sell things unless he bore the mark of the beast – that is, his name or his number. This calls for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the beast’s number, for it is man’s number, and his number is 666.”)

Only people to whom Jesus’ good news message is revealed, “His Elect” will not be deceived. Only in recent years is the workings of such things understood. This age of computer chips and bar coding makes such systems work. (When our Creator and His message isn’t believed IN, “this world’s populations are vulnerable to the demonic.” Study Jesus’ revelations to John. Read it out loud as Jesus suggest.

(Rev 14:9-12; “A third angel followed the first two, declaring in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and takes the mark on his forehead or his hand, that person will also drink of the wine of God’s anger that has been mixed undiluted in hthe cup of His wrath and he will be tortured with fire and sulfur in front of the holy angels and in front of the Lamb. And the smoke from their torture will go up forever and ever, and those who worship the beast and his image will have no rest day or night, along with anyone who receives the mark of his name. ”This requires the steadfast endurance of the Saints – those who obey God’s commandments and hold to their faith in Jesus.”)

Our belief must be in Jesus, “not a conjured up personal faith.” God’s commandments include remembering His Sabbaths! The seventh of seven annual Sabbaths is “The Last Great Day” it’s the eighth day of the “Feast of Tabernacles” and foreshadows God’s righteous judgment.

Judgment.

(Rev 19:19-21; “Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies assembled to do battle with the One who rode the horse and with His army. Now the beast was seized, and along with him the false prophet who had performed the signs on his behalf – signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. Both of them were thrown alive into the lake of fire burning with sulfur. The others were killed by the sword that extended from the mouth of the One who rode the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves with their flesh.”)

God’s allowing Satan to deceive modern day fleshly thinkers, “those attempting to respect all religions doctrines equally.” People discounting the validity of God’s holy scriptures.

To a Samaritan woman, Jesus said; “You people worship what you do not know.” We worship what we know, because salvation is from the Jews, (Those whom God reveals Himself.) But a time is coming – and now is here – when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such people to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and the people who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:22-24)

Jesus’ Truth was revealed to His prophets and apostles, Paul explained to the Galatians and all followers of Jesus, “God’s called are by promise as was Isaac.” Review the previous study.

(Gal 4:28-31; “But you, brothers and sisters, are children of the promise like Isaac. But just as at that time the one born by natural descent persecuted the one born according to the Spirit, so it is now. (30) But what does the scripture say? “Throw out the slave woman and her son, for the son of the slave woman will not share the inheritance with the son” of the free woman. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we ‘followers of Jesus’ are not children of the slave woman but of the free woman.”)

Christians are a Christ like people and Believers IN Him by promise, as was Isaac. Christ like people are such “because of God‘s fathering them” a people miraculously “born from above.” (Fleshly instinctive minded people are those of natural descent and have natural animosity toward God’s chosen.) God’s chosen are gifted to exercise gifted freedom in Jesus and practice His Way, “avoiding much of the bondage Satan has the world in.”

(Gal 5:1-6; “For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be subject again to the yoke of slavery. Listen! I, Paul, tell you that if you allow yourselves be circumcised, “for the purpose of gaining salvation.” Christ will be of no benefit to you at all! And I testify again to every man who lets himself be circumcised, “thinking it saves” that he is obligated to obey the whole law. You who are trying to be declared righteous by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace! For through the Spirit, by faith, we wait expectantly for the hope of righteousness. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor un-circumcision carries any weight – the only thing that matters is, “Jesus’” faith working through love.”)

Christian obedience must be from a love of God point of view. Loving the spiritual intent of His law. It’s ridiculous to think Paul’s meaning is, “if people lets themselves be circumcised, they loose the benefit of salvation.” (The principle through out scripture is, “if a person thinks salvation is by the law, then the whole law must be kept perfectly!) That is in fact the only methodology in which one can obtain salvation, “keep the whole law perfectly.”  Paul had to contend with those teaching that circumcision was a must for salvation.

Feast of Unleavened Bread’s Principle Discussed.

(Gal 5:7-12; “You, “followers of Jesus” were running well, who prevented you from obeying the truth? This persuasion does not come from the One who calls you! A little yeast makes the whole batch of dough rise! I am confident in the Lord that you will accept no other view. But the one who is confusing you will pay the penalty, whoever he may be. Now, brothers and sisters, if I am still preaching circumcision, “for salvation” why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed. (12) I wish those agitators would go so far as to castrate themselves!”)

Yeast is that which puffs up and pictures sin in God‘s view. Paul was likely writing, after the Passover season and looking back to the week of Unleavened Bread, “thus his analogy to yeast puffing up.”

Fleshly Minded Opposed to Spiritual Minded.

(Gal 5:13-21; “For you, “Christians - by promise” were called to freedom, brothers and sisters, only do not use your freedom as an opportunity to indulge your flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law can be summed up in a single commandment, namely, “You must love your neighbor as yourself.” However, if you continually bite and devour one another, beware that you are not consumed by one another. (16) But I say, live by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. For the flesh has desires that are opposed to the Spirit, and the Spirit has desires that are opposed to the flesh, for these are in opposition to each other, so that you cannot do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. (19) Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, depravity, idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish rivalries, dissensions, factions, envying, murder, drunkenness, carousing, and similar things. I am warning you, as I had warned you before: Those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God!”)

Compare with Jesus’ revelations to John, “at Revelations 21:8” to verses 19-21 above. Christians are led to practice God’s righteous Ways, “with the understanding that God is Truth, God is Love and Jesus died that our sins “lawlessness in His view.” That is so our inherited sin nature could be remitted. (Review the opposites of verses 19-21 above to chapter 5:)

(Gal 5:22-26; “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also behave in accordance with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, being jealous of one another.”) Compare with the love chapter “1Corinthians 13:” Behaving according to the spirit, “is to lovingly obey and worship in spirit and truth.”

(Gal 6:1-10; “Brothers and sisters, if a person is discovered in some sin, you who are spiritual restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness. Pay close attention to yourselves, so that you are not tempted too. (2) Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Let each one examine his own work. Then he can take pride in himself and not compare himself with someone else. For each one will carry his own load. (6) Now the one who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with the one who teaches it. Do not be deceived. God will not be made a fool. For a person will reap what he sows, because the person who sows to his own flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. So we must not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who belong to the family of faith.”) Paul is teaching the principle of overcoming our fleshly nature to the end. Growing in the grace and knowledge of God.

(Gal 6:11-12; “See what big letters I make as I write to you with my own hand! Those who want to make a good showing in external matters are trying to force you to be circumcised. They do so only to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.”)

Our inherited nature coaches us to go with what’s customary. The Pharisee mentality regarding the law prevailed among fleshly thinking Israelites then and the fleshly minded today, “not wanting to be ostracized by family, community and society.”

(Gal 6:13-17; “For those who are circumcised do not obey the law themselves, but they want you to be circumcised so that they can boast about your flesh. (boast of having made a convert) (14) But may I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For neither circumcision nor un-circumcision counts for anything; the only thing that matters is a new creation! “To be reborn from above.” (16) And all who will behave in accordance with this rule, peace and mercy be on them, and on the Israel of God. (17) From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear the marks of Jesus on my body. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers and sisters. Amen.”)

The Israel of God, are followers of Jesus, “a people God fights for.” Paul is saying, “he is as one dead to the world and the world is as dead to him.” (Agreeing with Jesus’ words, “Paul and followers of Jesus, are in the world but not of the world.”) The world is as dead to followers of Jesus.

Debating circumcision and law keeping counts for nothing, all that matters is that Christ Jesus be formed in us, making us a new creation. If we belong to Christ, then we are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.” Gal 3:29. May the love of God grow in us.
