God’s called out individual persons are, “His Church.” The Church of God at any address is atOne with all others. Each teaching, “Jesus, Him crucified, now alive and our Mediator before the Father in heaven.” Each believing IN Jesus as He’s manifested to be at Colossians 1:15-20, John 1:1-5 and Hebrews 1:. Each believes IN His whole message with gifted desire and effort to serve Him as He served God the Father for our example. The apostles’ letters aren’t to the world but to God’s church, “a converted Believing IN people.”

(2Cor 1:1-2; “From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the church of God that is in Corinth, with all the Saints who are in all Achaia. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!”) Note the holy spirit isn’t included in Paul’s salutation. Meditate on why.

(2Cor 1:3-11; “Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles so that we may be able to comfort those experiencing any trouble with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow toward us, so also our comfort through Christ overflows to you. (6) But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort that you experience in your patient endurance of the same sufferings that we also suffer. And our hope for you is steadfast because we know that as you share in our sufferings, so also you will share in our comfort. (8) For we do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, regarding the affliction that happened to us in the province of Asia, that we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of living. Indeed we felt as if the sentence of death had been passed against us, so that we would not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead. He delivered us “we followers of Jesus” from so great a risk of “eternal” death, and He will deliver us. We have set our hope on Him that He will deliver us yet again, (11) as you also join in helping us by prayer, so that many people may give thanks to God on our behalf for the gracious gift given to us through the help of many.”)

Each called out person persevering to the end, “grows to the point of God dependency.”

(2Cor 1:12-14; “For our reason for confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that with pure motives and sincerity which are from God – not by human wisdom but by the grace of God – we conducted ourselves in the world, and all the more toward you. (13) For we do not write you anything other than what you can read and also understand. But I hope that you will understand completely just as also you have partly understood us, that we are your source of pride just as you also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.”)

Pure motives is what each God called teacher prays to have. Paul is saying that he isn’t writing anything that can’t be read in the holy scriptures elsewhere, that he’d called to be an apostle, expounding on these truths for the good of God’s people. Spiritual truths cannot be conjured up! Paul had explained, “all who are in the flesh think fleshly.” The Israelites Paul spoke of at Romans 10: were and the many denominations today are fleshly, thus the many individual beliefs. To the spirit begotten, “those born from above” Paul wrote.

(2Cor 1:15-22; And with this confidence I intended to come to you first so that you would get a second opportunity to see us and through your help to go on into Macedonia and then from Macedonia to come back to you and be helped on our way into Judea by you. (17) Therefore when I was planning to do this, I did not do so without thinking about what I was doing, did I? Or do I make my plans according to mere human standards so that I would be saying both “Yes, yes” and “No, no” at the same time? (18) But as God is faithful our message to you is not “Yes” and “No.” For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, the One who was proclaimed among you by us – by me, Silvanus and Timothy – was not “Yes” and “No” but it has always been “Yes” in Him. (20) For every one of God’s promises are “Yes” in Him; therefore also through Him the “Amen” is spoken, to the glory we give to God. But it is God who establishes us together with you in Christ and who anointed us, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a down payment.”)

“That spirit down payment is what strengthens.” Always YES in Him? Meaning God’s promises are sure! Paul is saying that his plans were flexible, yielded to God’s will. Paul did expect His fellow brethren in Christ to help provide for his travel expenses. Give of themselves in love, is what Jesus did and what He commands His people to do. Understand, all these things revolved around Jesus’ new command? (“I give you a new commandment – to love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. Everyone will know by this that you are My disciples – if you have love for one another.” John 13:24-35)

Paul wrote the same principle to the Philippians.

(Philippians 1:27-30; “Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ so that – whether I come and see you or whether I remain absent – I should hear that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind, by contending side by side for the faith of the gospel, and by not being intimidated in any way by your opponents. This is a sign of their destruction, but of your salvation – a sign which is from God. For it has been granted to you not only to believe IN Christ but also to suffer for Him, since you are encountering the same conflict that you saw me face and now hear that I am facing.) Followers of Jesus are of one spirit and one mind.

Remember review is good and scripture needs to be considered from various angles. From the point of view that God chooses and is parenting us according to His will, let’s reconsider the following revelation to Peter.

(1Peter 1:13-16; “Therefore get your minds ready for action by being fully sober and set your hope completely on the grace that will be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed. Like obedient children, do not comply with the evil urges you used to follow in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you become holy yourselves in all of your conduct, for it is written, “You shall be holy, because I am holy.”) Grace is brought to we believers IN when Jesus is revealed! It’s destiny “we followers of Jesus” are viewed holy by our parent “God the Father.” Only through our new gifted nature can we love and keep the spiritual intent of His law. (1Peter 1:17; “And if you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each one’s work, live out the time of your temporary residence here in reverence.”) Again consider the reason for “The Feast of Tabernacles foreshadowing our living a temporary life in the flesh.” (1Peter 1:18-19; “You know that from your empty way of life inherited from your ancestors you were ransomed – not by perishable things like silver or gold, but by precious blood like that of an unblemished and spotless lamb, namely Christ.”) Remember Christ’s sacrifice was for the remission of this world’s sins and was preplanned before Adam’s transgression. How so? Satan’s purpose and successes were known before Adam’s creation. (1Peter 1:20-25; “Jesus was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was manifested in these last times for your sake. Through Jesus you now trust in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. You have purified your souls by obeying the truth in order to show sincere mutual love. So love one another earnestly from a pure heart. You have been born anew, not from perishable but from imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God. For all flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of the grass; the grass withers and the flower falls off, but the word of the Lord endures forever. And this is the word that was proclaimed to you.”)

Each Believer IN Jesus “is one born anew” one “born from above” “one God called and gave discernment to” and “granted His gift of eternal life to.” (So, we who are born from above aren’t considered as being in the flesh “spiritually speaking” but in the spirit “if so be that God’s spirit dwells in us.” Thus through Jesus we are family members inheriting the kingdom of God. What about those refusing to believe IN, Jesus’ whole message?

“You refuse to believe because you are not My sheep. My sheep listen to My voice, I know them and they follow Me. I give them eternal life and they will never perish; no one will snatch them from My hand. My Father who has given them to Me, is greater than all and no one can snatch them from My Father’s hand. The Father and I are One.” John 10:26-29)
