Universe, Earth and we chosen are for God’s purpose, chapter 4

10/1/19, God’s 7th month, Tishrei 1, 5,780 until sunset.

To: People desiring to be atOne with God the Father, God the Son and Heir with Abraham.

The fleshly mind loves this world’s system of things. Loves what’s consider belonging to, “me, mine and our family.” Loves stuff that helps us fit in, ‘entertainment, styles, jewelry, clothing etc.’ We inherited Adam’s desires and characteristics of, ’wanting to be loved and accepted by the world. A characteristic we must overcome through gifted faith in Jesus, ‘if we’re to inherit eternal life.’ A Godly turning ‘repentance’ from what seems right to our inherited nature, “to the gifted nature of Jesus.” Such a calling is the only route to the Kingdom of God. Having this gifted knowledge makes one rare and separate from the world at large. (His View Assemblies)

Gen 10: and 11: gives the accounts of Cush fathering Nimrod the builder of Nineveh and the great city Calah. His descendents were gifted with building talents. (Gen 11:4 Then they said, “Come, let’s build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens so that we may make a name for ourselves. Otherwise we will be scattered across the face of the entire earth.” But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the people had started building. He said; “If as one people all sharing a common language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be beyond them. Come, let’s go down and confuse their language so they won’t be able to understand each other. So the LORD scattered them from there across the face of the entire earth, and they stopped building the city. That’s why its name was called Babel — because there the LORD confused the language of the entire world, and from there the LORD scattered them across the face of the entire earth..

God doesn’t change, He and His ways are absolutes and He isn’t pleased with man’s efforts to explore space. He may stop it. Our point is, “the whole world has become like Babel, plagues are prophesied and followers of Jesus are advised to come out from the world.”

(Rev 18:4-7; “Then I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, My people, so you will not take part in her sins and so you will not receive her plagues, because her sins have piled up all the way to heaven and God has remembered her crimes. Repay her the same way she repaid others; pay her back double corresponding to her deeds.”)

As the Lord God Jesus separated Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and his descendents “the Israelites” from the world at large and commanded they not learn pagan ways, followers of Jesus must separate to the degree they not to receive the prophesied plagues. We must realize we’re “Temples of God.” Let’s review.

(2Cor 6:14-18; “Do not become partners with those who do not believe, for what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship does light have with darkness? And what agreement does Christ have with Beliar? Or what does a believer share in common with an unbeliever? And what mutual agreement does the Temple of God have with idols? For we are the Temple of the living God, just as God said, “I will live in them and will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people.” Therefore “come out from their midst, and be separate,” says the Lord, “and touch no unclean thing, and I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you will be My sons and daughters,” says the All-Powerful Lord. (2Cor 7:1; Therefore, since we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that could defile the body and the spirit, and thus accomplish holiness out of reverence for God.”)

That’s the starting point for all called out believers IN, “reverence for God.”

Jesus’ apostle Paul was called to suffer many things and be a witness to the world. After speaking of false teachers presenting their credentials, using status to invade congregations and deceive, Paul compared them to Satan while comparing himself “the least of the apostles.” As with most who’re called reverence God this Corinth church had previously been practicing the ways of the world. They heard the good news, was spiritually led to turn “repent” and were gifted with a belief IN; others came twisting Jesus’ message through Paul causing some to turn back. God put Paul on the firing line, so to speak. He had to deal with “babes in Christ.” A people characterized much like the Israelites Moses contended with. At one point Paul is boastful of the Corinthians, telling the church at Macedonia of their overcoming, complementing them on their freewill offerings for the church at Jerusalem. Now; he’s expresses a fear that many have gone backward spiritually. This can happen to Believers IN, when schooled unbelievers are allowed to gain leadership positions. Study Rev 2: and 3: about Jesus’ admonition through John to the seven churches. To each of the seven, the message is; “overcome to the end.”

(2 Cor 13:1-10; “This is the third time I am coming to visit you. By the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter will be established. I said before when I was present the second time and now, though absent, I say again to those who sinned previously and to all the rest, that if I come again, I will not spare anyone, since you are demanding proof that Christ is speaking through me. He is not weak toward you but is powerful among you. (4) For indeed HE was crucified by reason of weakness, but He lives because of God’s power. For we also are weak in Him, but we will live together with Him, because of God’s power toward you. (5) Put yourselves to the test to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize regarding yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you – unless, indeed, you fail the test! And I hope that you will realize that we have not failed the test! Now we pray to God that you may not do anything wrong, not so that we may appear to have passed the test, but so that you may do what is right even if we may appear to have failed the test. (8) For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the sake of the truth. For we rejoice whenever we are weak, but you are strong. And we pray for this: that you may become fully qualified. (10) Because of this I am writing these things while absent, so that when I arrive I may not have to deal harshly with you by using my authority – the Lord gave it “the authority” to me for building up, not for tearing down!”)

Do we realize Jesus was purposely weak in the flesh, but powerful in spirit. Jesus allowed His own crucifixion. As He was being arrested Jesus said to Peter; (“Put your sword back in its place! For all who take hold of the sword will die by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot call on My Father, and that He would send Me more than twelve legions of angels right now? How then would the scriptures that say it must happen this way be fulfilled?” Matt 26:52-54)

Does it take strength to turn the other cheek? Paul also exercised weakness rather than the arrogances of Lording Over people.

(2Cor 13:11-13; “Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice, set things right, be encouraged, agree with one another, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the Saints greet you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”)

This GOOD NEWS “gospel” is about the spirit of Jesus living in people was proclaimed through Abraham, Moses, David, all Jesus’ prophets and apostles. Jesus’ messages, His promises and planning for the future of His people and this earth are sure. His set aside, “sanctified” practices, is the only way to follow Jesus. Only through gifted belief IN Jesus can people inherit eternal life, “immortality.”

This concludes our Corinthians study and we know from Paul’s terminology “he was either writing during the “Passover - Feast of Unleavened Bread season” or he was spiritually compelled to teach it’s theme of putting sin away.
