Perpetual Promises, chapter 10

11/6/19, God’s 8th month, Cheshvan 8/5780.

To: Called out living Jesus’ faith people, “in the world but not of the world.”

Believing IN faith comes from God’s fathering those whose names are written in “The Lambs Book of Life.” Chosen to be in God’s family and in His first resurrection. Lets study Jesus’ Words as revealed to Paul, he to the Ephesians and all Believers IN.

Ephesians 1:1-2; “From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, to the Saints [in Ephesus] the faithful in Christ Jesus. Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!” )

Only Jesus and His apostles have the authority to say “from God the Father.” Saints are people who’re faithful in Christ Jesus. No entity of man has the authority to make a person a saint.

Spiritual Blessings in Christ

(Ephesians 1:3-4; “Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us “followers of Jesus” with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ. For He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in His sight in love.”) Paul is writing to those who’re called to believe IN and follow Jesus.

John 10:7-8; “So Jesus said to them again, “I tell you the solemn truth, I am the door for the sheep. All who came before Me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.”) Jesus’ followers listen to Him, believe IN Him and practice His attributes.

(John 10:14-18; “I am the good Shepherd. I know My own and My own know Me – just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father – and I lay down My life for the sheep. (16) I have other sheep that do not come from this sheepfold. I must bring them too, and they will listen to My voice, so that there will be one flock and one Shepherd. This is why the Father loves Me – because I lay down My life, so that I may take it back again. No one takes it away from Me, but I lay it down of My own free will. I have the authority to lay it down, and I have the authority to take it back again. This commandment I received from My Father.”)

Note Jesus saying, “there’s one flock and one Shepherd.“ God the Father and God the Son have preplanned this and the ages to come to be atOne.

(Ephesians 1:5-10; “He did this by predestining us to adoption as His Sons through Jesus Christ, according to the pleasure of His will – to the praise of the glory of His grace that He has freely bestowed on us in His dearly loved Son. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace that He lavished on us in all wisdom and insight. (9) He did this when He revealed to us the secret of His will, according to His good pleasure that He set forth in Christ, toward the administration of the fullness of the times, to head up all things in Christ – the things in heaven and the things on earth.”) The fleshly mind can’t rationalize God being all knowing. Jesus displayed His all knowing God attribute to us.

John 1:43-51; “On the next day Jesus wanted to set out for Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, “Follow me.” (Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the town of Andrew and Peter.) Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the One Moses wrote about in the law, and the prophets also wrote about — Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” (46) Nathanael replied, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip replied, “Come and see.” Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward him and exclaimed, “Look, a true Israelite in whom there is no deceit!” Nathanael asked him, “How do you know me?” Jesus replied, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” Nathanael answered him, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel!” (50) Jesus said to him, “Because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” He continued, “I tell all of you the solemn truth — you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”)

God reveals the secrets of His will. Denominations claiming to believe IN Jesus, “yet deny God’s awesomeness to preplan detail” may believe a god exist, but don’t believe IN the God of Abraham as He’s manifested to be.” Many people are good from a worldly point of view, good citizens etc. Many live wholesome commendable to the world lives; their error? Teaching their own, or a theory taught them. (If our teaching isn’t individually revealed we’re assuming.) Review verse nine above.

NOW we should understand “teaching truth with authority is why Jesus and His apostles were persecuted and killed.” Teaching God’s absolutes with authority has always been hated by people not gifted to understand.

Followers of Jesus are God’s possessions.

(Ephesians 1:11-14; “In Christ we too have been claimed as God’s own possession, since we were predestined according to the one purpose of Him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of His will so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, would be to the praise of His glory. And when you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation) – when you believed IN Christ – you were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit, who is the down payment of our inheritance, until the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.”) What causes a person to set hope on Christ? Where does the desire come from?

Desiring Godly Wisdom and Revelation is gifted.

(Eph 1:15-19; “For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the Saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you when I remember you in my prayers. I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you spiritual wisdom and revelation in your growing knowledge of Him, – since the eyes of your heart have been enlightened – so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what is the wealth of His glorious inheritance in the Saints, and what is the incomparable greatness of His power toward us who believe, as displayed in the exercise of His immense strength.”)

Growing knowledge of Jesus’ deity with the Father is revelation and knowledge of our inheritance.

(Eph 1:20-23; “This power He “God the Father” exercised in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms far above every rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. (22) And God put all things under Christ’s feet, and He gave Him to the church as head over all things. Now the church is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.”) Each Believer IN is God’s temple.

(1Cor 3:16-17; “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If someone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, which is what you are.”)

(1Cor 6:19-20; “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.”) THAT PRICE, Jesus’ shed blood.

Each person is spiritually dead until individually imputed with His life.

(Ephesians 2:1-3; “And although you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you formerly lived according to this world’s present path, according to the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the ruler of the spirit that is now energizing the sons of disobedience, among whom all of us also formerly lived out our lives in the cravings of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath even as the rest.”) Until individually called, each lived according to what seemed right to the fleshly inherited from Adam nature. Ruler of the kingdom of the air is Satan, “who has all but God’s called deceived.” See Matthew 24:24.

(Eph 2:4-7; “But God, “The Father” being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you are saved! and He raised us up with Him “Jesus” and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, to demonstrate in the coming ages the surpassing wealth of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (8-9; For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast.”)

(We’re His workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.”) In the coming millennial age Saints will be the demonstration Paul is writing about. All were dead in transgressions until made alive in Christ for God the Father’s purpose.

New Life Corporate Family.

(Ephesians 2:11-22; “Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh – who are called “un-circumcision” by the so-called “circumcision” that is performed on the body by human hands – that you were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He ’Jesus’ is our peace, the One who made both groups into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility, when He nullified in His flesh the law of commandments in decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of two, thus making peace, and to reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which the hostility has been killed. And He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near, so that through Him we both ‘Israelites and gentiles’ have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer foreigners and non-citizens, but you are fellow citizens with the Saints and members of God’s household, because you have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the Cornerstone. (21) In Him the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you ’followers of Jesus’ also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”)

It was preplanned that Israelite’s fall would work to God’s purpose in reconciling both Israelite and non-Israelite to Himself and both become one in Christ. Study Romans 11: and note that Israel is the tamed olive branch and non-Israelites the wild olive branch that is grafted into to tame and ultimately all be of the same foundation.
