Plans for God’s chosen, chapter 14

Jan 5 - 2,020. God’s 10th Month, Tevet 8, year 5,780

To: A people gifted with desire to be atOne with God, “His church.”

People called to be atOne with Jesus soon learn “religious people don’t seek truth.” They’re branches making tradition their Vine.

Jesus willingly died on Nisan 14, (April 8, 2020)  ‘about mid afternoon’ so believing IN people’s sins could be remitted and eternal life gifted through faith belief IN Jesus’ shed blood. It was the Passover, God’s first month. A disciple named Joseph hurried to bury Jesus before sunset beginning the 15th day first annual Sabbath starting the Feast of Unleavened Bread. No matter how other calendars line up, it was the fourteenth day of God’s first month. They’d find His tomb empty on the morning of Nisan 18. (April 12, 2020) (Celebrating Jesus’ death and resurrection on a Friday and Sunday sunrise service is ludicrous. Attempting to parallel Jesus’ resurrection with a first day sunrise comes from paganism. (18th seldom falls on the first day.)

(Ezekiel 8:16-18; “Then He brought me to the inner court of the LORD’S house. Right there at the entrance to the LORD’S temple, between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs to the LORD’S temple, facing east — they were worshiping the sun toward the east! He said to me, “Do you see, son of man? Is it a trivial thing that the house of Judah commits these abominations they are practicing here? For they have filled the land with violence and provoked Me to anger still further. Look, they are putting the branch to their nose! Therefore I will act with fury! My eye will not pity them nor will I spare them. When they have shouted in My ears, I will not listen to them.”) (Always study the whole.)

(Matthew 27:57-61; “Now when it was evening, ‘14th Nisan’  there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who was also a disciple of Jesus. He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered that it be given to him. Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut in the rock. Then he rolled a great stone across the entrance of the tomb and went away. (Now Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting there, opposite the tomb.)

Spiritually called out people examine themselves in Jesus’ light. The fifteenth and twenty first day of Nisan are God ordained annual Sabbaths. The weekly Sabbath after Nisan 15, begins the fifty day count to God’s third annual Sabbath, “Pentecost.”

It was likely around the first of Nisan that Jesus began telling His apostles about His death and departure more seriously. No doubt, Paul knew Jesus’ words (“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Matt 5:5) Jesus opened His apostles’ understanding of holy scripture regarding spiritual Israelites believing. Let’s examine a portion He inspired Isaiah to write.

Isaiah 49:7; “This is what the Lord, the Protector of Israel, their Holy One, says to the One who is despised and rejected by nations, a servant of rulers: (“Kings will see and rise in respect, princes will bow down, because of the faithful Lord, the Holy One of Israel who has chosen you.”)

(Isaiah 49:8; “This is what the Lord says: “At the time I decide to show My favor, I will respond to You; in the day of deliverance I will help You; I will protect You and make You a covenant Mediator for people, to rebuild the land and to reassign the desolate property.”) A time of deliverance and millennial rule on earth.” (A deliverance of Israel greater than the previous one from Egypt is coming.)

(Isaiah 49:9-11; “You will say to the prisoners, ‘Come out,’ and to those who are in dark dungeons, ‘Emerge.’ They will graze beside the roads; on all the slopes they will find pasture. They will not be hungry or thirsty; the sun’s oppressive heat will not beat down on them, for One who has compassion on them will guide them; He will lead them to springs of water. I will make all My mountains into a road; I will construct My roadways.”

(Isaiah 49:12-13; “Look, they come from far away! Look, some come from the north and west, and others from the land of Sinim! Shout for joy, O sky! Rejoice, O earth! Let the mountains give a joyful shout! For the Lord consoles His people and shows compassion to the oppressed.”

Paul could write with knowing faith regarding who’d inherit.

(1Corinthians 6:9-11; “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived! The sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, passive homosexual partners, practicing homosexuals, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, the verbally abusive, and swindlers will not inherit the kingdom of God. Some of you once lived this way. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.”) Compare with (Revelations 21:7-8; “The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But to the cowards, unbelievers, detestable persons, murderers, the sexually immoral, and those who practice magic spells, idol worshipers, and all those who lie, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. That is the second death.”)

Sexual Immorality has been a demonic tool since creation.

(1Cor 6:12-20; “All things are lawful for me” – but not everything is beneficial. “All things are lawful for me” – but I will not be controlled by anything. “Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food, but God will do away with both.” The body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. (14) Now God indeed raised the Lord and He will raise us by His power. (15) Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Should I take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! Or do you not know that anyone who is united with a prostitute is one body with her? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” (quote from Genesis 2:24) But the one united with the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee sexual immorality! “Every sin a person commits is outside of the body” – but the immoral person sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.”)

Celibacy and marriage parallels our “at one” relationship with Jesus

(1Cor 7:1-7; “Now with regard to the issues you wrote about: “It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.” But because of immoralities, each man should have relations with his own wife and each woman with her own husband. A husband should give to his wife her sexual rights, and likewise a wife to her husband. It is not the wife who has the rights to her own body, but the husband. In the same way, it is not the husband who has the rights to his own body, but the wife. (5) Do not deprive each other, except by mutual agreement for a specified time, so that you may devote to prayer. Then resume your relationship, so that Satan may not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. I say this as a concession, not as a command. (7) I wish that everyone was as I am. But each has his own gift from God, one this way, another that.)

(1Cor 7:8-16; “To the unmarried and widows I say that it is best for them to remain as I am. But if they do not have self-control, let them get married. For it is better to marry than to burn with sexual desire. To the married I give this command – not I, but the Lord – a wife should not divorce a husband (11) (but if she does, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband), and a husband should not divorce his wife. “To the rest I say – I, not the Lord – if a brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is happy to live with him, he should not divorce her. And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is happy to live with her, she should not divorce him. (14) For the unbelieving husband is sanctified because of the wife, and the unbelieving wife because of her husband. Otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy. But if the unbeliever wants a divorce, let it take place. In these circumstances the brother or sister is not bound. God has called you in peace. For how do you know, wife, whether you will bring your husband to salvation? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will bring your wife to salvation?”)

Either could be the human agent God can use to bring the other to a saving believing IN knowledge. Note that Paul is making it clear that the above paragraph is from his own mind, not the Lord’s.

The gifted desire to be at one with Jesus

and the circumstances of our calling.

(1Cor 7:17-18; “Nevertheless, as the Lord has assigned to each one, as God has called each person, so must he live. I give this sort of direction in all the churches. Was anyone called after he had been circumcised? He should not try to undo his circumcision. Was anyone called who is uncircumcised? He should not get circumcised.”)

According to the Judean historian Josephus, some Hellenistic Jews were embarrassed because of their circumcision; some attempted to reverse the appearance of circumcision with a surgical procedure. Remember too, Paul and each apostle thought Jesus’ return could be in their life time, ‘in view of the Sodom and Gomorrah type worldwide conditions.” Thus Paul put forth his opinion on these things.

(1Cor 7:19-24; “Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Instead, keeping God’s commandments is what counts. Let each one remain in that situation in life in which he was called. (21) ‘Likewise’ Were you called as a slave? Do not worry about it. But if indeed you are able to be free, make the most of the opportunity. For the one who was called in the Lord as a slave is the Lord’s freedman. In the same way, the one who was called as a free person is Christ’s slave. (23) You were bought with a price. Do not become slaves of men. In whatever situation someone was called, brothers and sisters let him remain in it with God.”)

(1Cor 7:25-31; With regard to the question about people who have never married, I have no command from the Lord, but I give my opinion as one shown mercy by the Lord to be trustworthy. Because of the impending crisis I think it best for you to remain as you are. The one bound to a wife should not seek divorce. The one released from a wife should not seek marriage. But if you marry, you have not sinned. And if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But those who marry will face difficult circumstances, and I am trying to spare you such problems. (29) And I say this, brothers and sisters: The time is short. So then those who have wives should be as those who have none, those with tears like those not weeping, those who rejoice like those not rejoicing, those who buy like those without possessions, those who use the world as though they were not using it to the full. For the present shape of this world is passing away.”)

In recent years and now, some are attempting to set near end of age times and dates without knowledge of God’s preplanning. We do need to live as if Jesus’ return could be today.
