Plans for God’s Chosen. Chapter, 27   23,242

Jan 30, 2,020. God’s 11th Month, Sh‘vat 4, year 5,780

To: 23,242 families, gifted with a desire to be atOne with God.

When individuals go to the Vine, mindful that the “called are branches” there’s no divisions regarding what’s right, good and evil. However only the called are gifted with a love of God’s Way. Only the called are gifted with a desire to abandon what previously seemed right to the fleshly mind’s logic. The many don’t have a love for God’s Way because they aren’t called in this age. Jesus said “I must bring others that aren’t in this fold.“ Jesus said, “I’m the Door and the called out ones don’t recognize strangers.”

(John 10:3-5; “The Doorkeeper opens the door for Him, and His sheep hear His voice. He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out. When He has brought all His own sheep out, He goes ahead of them and the sheep follow Him because they recognize His voice -message. They will never follow a stranger, but will run away from him, because they do not recognize the stranger’s voice - message.” (Remember why Jesus told parables? So they not understand.) (See Matthew 13:10)

(John 10:6-8; Jesus told them this parable, but they did not understand what He was saying to them. So Jesus said to them again, “I tell you the solemn truth, I am the Door for the sheep. All who came before Me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.)

(John 10:9-11; I am the Door. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life and may have it abundantly. “I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.”) (The hired shepherds are divided and only scatter the sheep.)

(John 10:12-13; The hired hand, ‘the theology trained’ who is not a shepherd and does not own sheep, sees the wolf coming and abandons the sheep and runs away. So the wolf attacks the sheep and scatters them. Because he is a hired hand and is not concerned about the sheep, he runs away.)

(John 10:14-15; “I am the Good Shepherd. I know My own and My own know Me — just as the Father knows Me and I know the Father — and I lay down My life for the sheep.) (Others, particularly the Israelites will know Jesus after Satan is bound, they’re delivered back to their former borders and God’s kingdom established.)

(John 10:16; I have other sheep that do not come from this sheepfold. I must bring them too, and they will listen to My voice, so that there will be one flock and One Shepherd.)

(John 10:17-18; This is why the Father loves me — because I lay down My life, so that I may take it back again. No one takes it away from Me, but I lay it down of My own free will. I have the authority to lay it down, and I have the authority to take it back again. This commandment I received from My Father.”

(John 10:19-20; Another sharp division took place among the Jewish people because of these words. Many of them were saying, “He is possessed by a demon and has lost His mind! Why do you listen to Him?” Others said, “These are not the words of someone possessed by a demon. A demon cannot cause the blind to see, can it?”) (Jesus had His prophets tell of a future deliverance of Israel, greater than the deliverance from Egypt.)

(Ezekiel 34:22-24; I will save My sheep; they will no longer be prey. I will judge between one sheep and another. I will set one shepherd over them, and he will feed them — namely, My servant David. He will feed them and will be their shepherd. I the LORD will be their God, and My servant David will be prince among them; I, the LORD, have spoken!”)

Without a gifted love of God’s Way, “people rationalize about what if’s.” What if God created through evolution? Perhaps God caused the big bang and from there created through mutations? The ’what if’s’ go on and on. Satan caused Adam, Eve and Cain “look to their imagination, ponder what he said and thought, what if?” His words seemed okay to their fleshly logic at the time “when tempted with the idea of self determination.” They may have pondered to themselves “perhaps God didn’t tell us if there’s another way.”    Their trusting the devil and disobeying God was idolatry. Today too, “when people look beyond God’s authority, commands and oracles to determine what’s right, wrong, good and evil they’re committing idolatry.” That’s because we’re created in God’s image, likeness and for His purpose, “we’re not our own.”

When Israelites knew God they still wanted their way. (Jer 44:1-4; “The LORD spoke to Jeremiah concerning all the Judeans who were living in the land of Egypt, those in Migdol, Tahpanhes, Memphis, and in the region of southern Egypt. “The LORD God of Israel who rules over all says, ‘You have seen all the disaster I brought on Jerusalem and all the towns of Judah. Indeed, they now lie in ruins and are deserted. This happened because of the wickedness the people living there did. They made Me angry by worshiping and offering sacrifice to other gods whom neither they nor you nor your ancestors previously knew. I sent my servants the prophets to you people over and over again warning you not to do this disgusting thing I hate.”)

Not until Jesus came revealing the Father and purchasing a chosen people with His own blood was “the new covenant of faith made with His chosen.”

(Rom 10:16-17; But not all have obeyed the good news, for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report ?” (Quote from Isaiah 53:1) Consequently faith comes from what is heard ‘understood’ and what is heard comes through preached ‘taught’ the word of Christ.”)

(Hebrews 1:1-9; After God spoke long ago in various portions and in various ways to our ancestors through the prophets, in these last days He has spoken to us in a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He created the world. The Son is the radiance of His glory and the representation of His essence, and He sustains all things by His powerful word, and so when He had accomplished cleansing for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Thus He became so far better than the angels as He has inherited a name superior to theirs. For to which of the angels did God ever say, “You are My son! Today I have fathered you”?  (Quote from Psalms 2:7) And in another place He says, “I will be His father and He will be My Son.” (Quote from 2Samuel 7”14) But when He again brings His firstborn into the world, He says, “Let all the angels of God worship Him!” And He says of the angels, “He makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire,” but of the Son He says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and a righteous scepter is the scepter of Your kingdom.”)

God made covenants with physical and spiritual Israelites while the world at large was worshiping imaginary gods. (Consider, “Bel was the entity of a Babylonian god. The name was originally associated with Enlil, but later was applied to Marduk) Nebo bends low. (Nebo is a variation of the name of the Babylonian god Nabu.)Their images weigh down animals and beasts. Your heavy images are burdensome to tired animals. Together they bend low and kneel down; they are unable to rescue the images; they themselves head off into captivity.”)

Promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are perpetual. (Isa 46:3-4; “Listen to Me, O family of Jacob, all you who are left from the family of Israel, you who have been carried from birth, you who have been supported from the time you left the womb. Even when you are old, I will take care of you, even when you have gray hair, I will carry you. I made you and I will support you; I will carry you and rescue you.”

(Isa 46:5-7; “To whom can you compare and liken Me? Tell Me whom you think I resemble, so we can be compared! Those who empty out gold from a purse and weigh out silver on the scale hire a metal smith, who makes it into a god. They then bow down and worship it. They put it on their shoulder and carry it; they put it in its place and it just stands there; it does not move from its place. Even when someone cries out to it, it does not reply; it does not deliver him from his distress.”

(Isa 46:8-13; “Remember this, so you can be brave! Think about it, you rebels. Remember what I accomplished in antiquity! Truly I am God, I have no peer; I am God, and there is none like Me, who announces the end from the beginning and reveals beforehand what has not yet occurred, who says, ‘My plan will be realized, I will accomplish what I desire,’ who summons an eagle from the east, from a distant land, one who carries out My plan. Yes, I have decreed, yes, I will bring it to pass; I have formulated a plan, yes, I will carry it out. Listen to Me, you stubborn people, you who distance yourself from doing what is right. I am bringing My deliverance near, it is not far away; I am bringing My salvation near, it does not wait. I will save Zion; I will adorn Israel with My splendor.”)

Believing IN the God that’s the same yesterday, today, forever, who re-creates, creates, planned it all and knew us before the foundation of the world is eternal life.

Overcoming our inherited from Adam nature,

the devil and Putting on Jesus, is what we’re called to.

The Lord having Israelites put leavening out of homes looked spiritually “to our getting that which puffs up, out of our lives and practices. Desiring to overcome that which puffs up ‘sin’ is God gifted; Paul explains.

(Phil 2:12-13; “So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, continue working out your salvation with awe and reverence, (13) for the one bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort – for the sake of His good pleasure – is God.”) Our benefit; God’s pleasure.”)

In our last study we wrote of how the unbelieving populations yield to “the get way” regarding their desire and celebrations, “it’s that which puffs up” rather than “that which gives of self.” We each inherited from Adam “a get nature.” God gifts His called out ones with “His energizing Holy Spirit of truth” making their outlook and life practices fit a love for His Way. Unbelievers love anniversaries that celebrate themselves, accomplishments and holidays honoring old pagan gods, rather than God’s set aside holy times that look back and forward to His planning.
