God’s Grace, Mercy and Love, chapter 4

March 18, 2,020. God’s 12th Month, Adar 22, year 5,789

To: “God’s in Resident Churches” people called to be ‘atOne’ with Him.

When there’re various plagues, could diet be a saving component? Could be, because eating only God designated clean animals, like circumcision is a seal of obedience. God chooses and sanctifies “sets apart” a people for His purpose and timing. His ultimate purpose is family, “more in His spiritual likeness.” Others were chosen before Noah, but we’ll start with Noah on the subject of being set aside. God found Noah righteous in His view and commissioned him to build the ark for the saving of himself, family and animal life. Noah likely knew he was a set aside person before being told to build the ark, “by reason that he knew about clean and unclean animals.” (If he didn’t, he certainly discovered it to be a seal of obedience when God lined up 7 clean and 2 unclean pairs for saving.) (See Genesis 7:) Why are seals of obedience important to God?

Abraham and his descendents are commanded to circumcise “as a seal of faithfully belonging to God” and to demonstrating to the world “their being a set aside for God’s purpose people.” Differing from the world whose god is Satan. Likewise when the Lord God Jesus was delivering Israel from Egypt by promise to Abraham, He gave them laws, social attributes and oracles, “setting them aside from the world.” Israel’s deliverance had nothing to do with their being deserving and everything to do with God’s promises. The New Covenant has parallel components.

God’s New Covenant is also with His chosen, has several physical and spiritual components for recognition of His chosen people. (Living as being in but not of the world is major, “spiritual, life’s physical practices, customs and characteristics that mimic Jesus‘.”) Jacob’s family “the twelve tribes of Israel” are commanded to eat only clean animals to demonstrate their being set aside and for health reasons. Jesus‘ apostle Paul explains. (Galatians 3:24-29; “Thus the law had become our guardian until Christ, so that we could be declared righteous by faith. But now that “Jesus’” faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through ‘His’ faith. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female — for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.”) Now that Jesus’ faith has come, “His chosen people have His loving intent of the law planted in their minds, thus being atOne with Him.“

All Adam’s descendents are borne with a hostile nature

that must be changed, it’s what we must be led to turn from.

Jesus replied to Nickodemus, “I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3) Nicodemus questioned, “how can that be?” (John 3:5-8; Jesus answered, “I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born of water and spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. What is born of the flesh is flesh, “of water” and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. “begotten of, or fathered by the spirit.” Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must all be born from above.’ (So how does born of the spirit happen?) Jesus continued. (8) The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”)

Remember how God’s Holy Spirit came on that Pentecost after Jesus’ ascension? (Acts 2:2; “Suddenly a sound like a violent wind blowing came from heaven and filled the entire house where they were sitting.”) Remember how Jesus opened His apostles to understand the scriptures? He breathed on them. (John 20:21-23; So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. Just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And after He said this, He breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you ‘apostles’ forgive anyone’s sins, they are forgiven; if you retain anyone’s sins, they are retained.”) (Jesus’ apostles were commissioned to be direct representatives of Himself. As Jesus only did what the Father authorized, Jesus’ apostles were spirit led to do and teach only what He revealed.

Truth revealed.

Until such time that God’s loving characteristics are revealed to people’s minds and each repent for having lived the way that seemed right to their inherited from Adam nature, each are Adam’s heirs. Each inheriting death. Adam and Eve inherited a lawless ‘sin’ nature when they yielded to Satan. The penalty for sin is death. Only until God the Father and God the Son’s nature is revealed and we turn from the old and to His revealed way, do we inherit His nature and eternal life. God gives the desire and effort to turn and persevere. Until then we’re each transgressors of God‘s spiritual law. Paul wrote.

(Phil 2:12-13; “So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, continue working out your salvation with awe and reverence, for the one bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort — for the sake of His good pleasure — is God.”)

As Jesus’ apostle Paul stated; “we all formerly lived out our lives in the cravings of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh, the mind and were by nature children of wrath even as the rest.”)

The world and it’s system of things are influences by Satan as was Adam and Eve. Including this world’s evolving system of governments, religions and so called higher education.

Corporately to the gentiles.

(Eph 2:11-21; “Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh – who are called “uncircumcision” by the so-called “circumcision” that is performed on the body by human hands – that you ‘gentiles’ were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. (13) But now in Christ Jesus you ‘gentiles’ who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, the One who made both groups into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility, when He nullified in His flesh the law of decrees and commandments.”) (Jesus nullified the penalty for sin through shedding His life blood as the sacrificial Lamb of God who takes away sins.)

He did this to create in Himself one new man “one new people” out of two, thus making peace (16) and to reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which the hostility has been killed. And He came and preached peace to you ‘gentiles’ who were far off and peace to those, ‘Israelites’ who were near, so that through Him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. (19) So then you are no longer foreigners and noncitizens, but you are fellow citizens with the Saints and members of God’s household, because you have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the cornerstone.”

(21; “In Him ‘Jesus’ the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you ‘gentiles’ also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”)

(We Believers need to realize “we’re temples of God’s spirit.”)

Realize too, Non-Israelite populations have a history of being prone to make gods of the heavenly bodies, image and likened gods as things that can be seen. Likewise all people are prone to imagine Jesus fitting their view and being hostile to God The Father. That’s why days of the week are named for some of these gods. Paul’s letter to Timothy should be applied to each Believer.

(2Tim 1:6-14; “Because of this I remind you to rekindle God’s gift that you possess through the laying on of my hands. For God did not give us a Spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me, a prisoner for His sake, but by God’s power accept your share of suffering for the gospel. (9) He ‘God the Father’ is the One who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not based on our works but on His own purpose and grace, granted to us in Christ Jesus before time began, but now made visible through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus. He has broken the power of death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel! (11) For this gospel I was appointed a preacher and apostle and teacher. Because of this, in fact, I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, because I know the One in whom my faith is set and I am convinced that He is able to protect what has been entrusted to me until that day. Hold to the standard of sound words that you heard from me and do so with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.(14) Protect that good thing entrusted to you, through the Holy Spirit who lives within us.”)

Israelites and non-Israelites are called individually to serve as

Ambassadors of Jesus. Corporately Israelites and non-Israelites are called to a oneness in Christ Jesus. (An Ambassador must think as His Lord and apply a heavenly citizenship they serve.) There’s no hostility between people of differing heritages in Christ Jesus. Through the gifting of His Holy Spirit to our minds, we love those who would be our and Jesus’ enemies. Not their way of life, but them individually. Understanding this Godly love helps us fulfill Jesus’ desire that we love as He loves. It’s through His revealed knowledge regarding His plans for this earth.
