God’s Truth Explored, chapter, 8

To: “10,448 in resident churches” people desiring to be “At One with God.” 4/16/18, God’s 2nd month, Iyar 1, 5778 until sunset.

Observe God’s new moon, while considering: If God expanded His teaching and called many to the degree that denominations lost large numbers “our lives would be in jeopardy.” We do need to “be ready to give an answer to anyone who ask about our hope.” Peter was inspired to explain.

(1Peter 3:15-20; But set Christ apart as Lord in your hearts and always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope you possess. Yet do it with courtesy and respect, keeping a good conscience, so that those who slander your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame when they accuse you. (17) For it is better to suffer for doing good, if God wills it, than for doing evil. Because Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, to bring you to God, by being put to death in the flesh but by being made alive in the spirit. In it ’’the spirit’ He went and preached to the spirits in prison, after they were disobedient long ago when God patiently waited in the days of Noah as an ark was being constructed.”) Prophets and

Jesus’ apostles suffered persecutions and death for sharing Jesus’ truth. We believers have similar responsibilities.

(“A disciple is not greater than His teacher, nor a slave greater than His master. It is enough for the disciple to become like His teacher, and the slave like His master. If they have called the head of the house ‘Beelzebul’ how much more will they defame the members of his household!” Matt 10:24-25) (“If the world hates you, be aware that it hated Me first. If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you do not belong to the world, but I chose you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you.” John 15:18-19)

Knowing these things separates God’s called from the populations at large. “Believing in is a gift!” Believing IN changes outlooks from, “practicing lawlessness, to practicing righteous living.” Allow Jesus’ apostle John to define lawlessness.

(“Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; “indeed, sin is lawlessness” and you know that Jesus was revealed to take away sins, and in Him there is no sin.” 1John 3:4-5)

“Believing that” can be attained through parent, education, individual and group study. It’s a historical fact that Jesus lived, but “believing that” isn’t “believing IN.” (“Believing that” can’t supernaturally change ones nature, nor give spiritual comprehension as does “revealed belief IN.”) A Christian is one gifted to believe IN. Most professing Christians aren’t Believers IN. For example; “the divorce rate among professing Christians is about the same as that of populations at large.” Most western politicians, lawyers and doctors call themselves Christian. ENOUGH SAID?

Our Lord called His apostles to carry on His Work and their letters were addressed to followers of Jesus, “believers IN Jesus.” A people fathered by God. “A people clothed with and immersed in Jesus‘ way” Apostles’ letters aren’t addressed to the world at large, nor professing Christians. Paul’s Galatians letter is to people “being saved through believing IN faith,” Not by works of the law. (He explained; “Christians are called by promised grace and led to believe IN, as was Abraham.) What person could think, believing IN God annuls “the spiritual intent of His ten commandments?” Who assumes believing IN could annul Jesus’ new commandment?

(“I “Jesus” give you a new commandment – to love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. Everyone will know by this that you are My disciples – if you have love for one another.” John 13:24-35) The same apostle wrote, (2John 1:5-8; “But now I ask you, lady (not as if I were writing a new commandment to you, but the one we have had from the beginning), that we love one another. (6) (Now this is love: that we walk according to His commandments.) This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning; thus you should walk in it. For many deceivers have gone out into the world, people who do not confess Jesus as Christ coming in the flesh. This person is the deceiver and the antichrist! (8) Watch out, so that you do not lose the things we have worked for, but receive a full reward.”) Not confessing Jesus as He manifest Himself to be in, (John 1:1-5, Heb 1:1-4 and Colossians 1:15-20;!

THE POINT? (It’s impossible to love God and neighbor: “not yielded to all ten commandments!”) “Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do what I tell you?” Luke 6:46)

Paul’s cautioning the Galatians about their erroneous turning to the law, rather than trusting their “gifted faith in Jesus’ sacrifice for salvation.” Many were turning to practices like the Pharisees imposed: “saved by law keeping.” (Israelites: “before faith in Jesus was gifted” were under the law, while gentiles were practicing paganism.) Even fleshly logic teaches; “people worship what seems right to themselves.” (Imprisonment to the law is likened to “gentile’s to their imagined gods.”)

Through gifted faith in Jesus’ sacrifice for the remission of sin, “called people are saved by God’s grace.” Believing IN Jesus is to know, “the law of love supersedes the law of commandments.” Loving God is to know, “His commandments are for our good.” (It’s an elementary thing for Believers IN: when kept in love; “the first four commandments demonstrate love toward God and the last six, how to love neighbor.) Elementary because, “when gifted to love God we love the things He loves.” Elementary because, “when we love our neighbor, we don’t need to be told not to harm him.” (Thus love supersedes the law.)

Most aren’t gifted with Jesus’ love! (Unless the love of Jesus is ‘poured out’ in our minds, “God’s ten commandments are our guardian.) All who aren’t supernaturally gifted to love their neighbor as themselves, “need God’s ten commandments.” When we’re born from above, we naturally love one another as Jesus loves us. (Children and all societal teaching should include the ten commandments “as the law to live by.”)

Paul’s letter to the Galatians Christians, corrected those who had been saved by grace, “but afterward following those teaching a salvation by works.” Pharisee infiltration taught legalistic law keeping, in order to be saved. (Paul said; “believing IN Galatians were recipients of the holy spirit by believing IN God’s way” as did Abraham.”) Paul asked, “why should you be judging yourselves and one another by the physical law rather than Jesus’ law of love? Revealed gifted love of Jesus “leads Believers IN to love and understand the spiritual intent of God’s commandments.” Practicing righteous living through “faith IN Jesus is being Christ Like.” (Believing IN Jesus is defined as, “living as clothed and immersed in Jesus.”

God has never revealed a plan to do away with His ten commandments. He has reveal, “no one is saved by keeping His ten commandments.” If so, “that would be saved by works of the law.” Paul explained to God’s church at Rome.

(Romans 7:7-12; “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! Certainly, I “Paul” would not have known sin except through the law. For indeed I would not have known what it means to desire something belonging to someone else if the law had not said, “Do not covet.

(ALL decent societies make rules about not stealing from one another. God’s commandments taught Paul.)

(Rom 7:8;; But sin, “lawlessness” seizing the opportunity through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of wrong desires. For apart from the law, sin is dead. Where there is no law there is no sin.” (Jesus’ new commandment that we love one another as He loves us, is not new.)

(Rom 7:9-12; And I was once alive apart from the law, but with the coming of the commandment sin became alive and I died. So I found that the very commandment that was intended to bring life brought death! For sin, seizing the opportunity through the commandment, deceived me and through it I died.” (Paul’s realization that he could not keep God’s law perfectly in the flesh and the result of sin was death; led him to abandon the old self and die with Jesus.) (12) “So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous, and good.”)

Had the Lord God not given Adam and Eve a command “there’d be no sin.” If there were no God, “there’d be no sin.” Realizing the spiritual goodness of God’s commandments helped Paul understand his inherited sin nature, “then he desired to be rid of it.” God’s commandments reveal sin.

(1Corinthians 15:56-58; “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! So then, dear brothers and sisters, be firm. Do not be moved! Always be outstanding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”) Paul knew God was working in him.
