John The Apostle, chapter 29

To: 11,407 Persons being made temples of His spirit: Churches of God.

6/15/18, God’s 4th month, Tammuz 2, 5778 until sunset.

When people “believe in” one demonic lie, God’s truth is camouflaged. It’s the condition of the whole world. Division is Satan’s purpose. (Gen 2:7; “The Lord God formed the man from the soil of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”) The Hebrew term נֶפֶשׁ (nefesh, “means living being.”) People with agenda’s translated (nefesh” to “soul” assuming a separation of body and spirit factor. The word “nefesh” refers to the whole person, whole creature, whole family etc. The phrase נֶפֶשׁ חַיַּה (nefesh khayyah, means “living being.”) Its used of both animals and human beings in Hebrew. (See Gen1:20, 24, 30; & 2:19).

Confusion began when Satan lied and called the Lord God a liar. Saying to Eve, “Surely you will not die, for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will open and you will be like divine beings who know good and evil. ”Gen 3:4-5) (When believed IN, people can’t believe “eternal life is through our Lord and Savior Jesus only.) Religions including Christendom “believe that” rather than “believe IN.

Heavenly Father and our Lord Jesus: we ask that You make each truth seeker, “a Believer IN” and give each a yielded to truth mindset, that we may worship You “the God of Israel” in spirit and truth. We ask in the nature and name of our Lord, Jesus. AMEN

Jesus said; “Isaiah’s prophecy is fulfilled among the multitudes.” (“For this reason I speak to them in parables: Although they see they do not see, and although they hear they do not hear nor do they understand.” Matt 13:13) Majorities don’t understand because they love this world’s demonic system of things. This world’s ways, indoctrinations, ”in which Satan is its author.” Various denominations don’t understand because they seek fleshly comfort zones and religious leaders who, “make merchandise of them.” Our fleshly nature likes being in step with peers, acquaintances and neighbors. Speaking of these divisionary religions, Paul writes.

(2Cor 11:13-15; “For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will correspond to their actions.”)

In Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, He took His disciples away privately and taught them without parables. Regarding following multitudes, Jesus said; “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” Matt 6:24)

Previous in John’s Gospel we studied Jesus’ resurrecting Lazarus to physical life after being entombed four days. Lazarus’ life was restored: he came out at Jesus’ command, still bound by burial wrappings. Afterward we read about Jesus going back to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover. To where the religious leaders wanted to kill Him. Jesus foreknew what He was going to accomplish, from the beginning of the world. Synagogue leaders were saying; “we must do something regarding this man, lest the people follow Him and Roman authorities take away our powers.” Here’s a lesson in the psychology of God‘s created people, “can we see it?” Love of money and power is the root of all unrighteousness.”

(John 12:1-8; Then, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom He had raised from the dead. So they prepared a dinner for Jesus there. Martha was serving, and Lazarus was among those present at the table with Him. Then Mary took three quarters of a pound of expensive aromatic oil from pure nard and anointed the feet of Jesus. She then wiped his feet dry with her hair. (Now the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfumed oil.) But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples (the one who was going to betray Him) said, “Why wasn’t this oil sold for three hundred silver coins and the money given to the poor?” (6) (Now Judas said this not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief. As keeper of the money box, he stole what was put into it.) So Jesus said, “Leave her alone. She has kept it for the day of My burial. For you will always have the poor with you, but you will not always have Me!”)

Judas’ character was like most do-gooder religious folks. Who make a show of helping others to look good in the eyes of the world. He saw Jesus’ miracles, listened to Jesus’ teaching, “yet he never believe IN!” So it is with professing religious folks in every age, “they aren’t believe IN.” Few search the scriptures individually, “to learn Jesus’ characteristics and His Way.” Appealing groups making pretence of worship with lackadaisical attitude. Like the Judeans hostile to Jesus, “denominations are motivated to hang on to their power over people.” It’s the social clubs mentality, political power and cliques in charge.

(John 12:9-11; “Now a large crowd of Judeans learned that Jesus was there and so they came not only because of Him but also to see Lazarus whom He had raised from the dead. So the chief priests planned to kill Lazarus too, for on account of him many of the Jewish people from Jerusalem were going away and believing in Jesus.)

Followers of Jesus cannot have close associations with those making merchandise of people. People leaving was the key reason the synagogue leaders wanted to be rid of Jesus. The synagogue was losing power over the populations. Main stream “refers to non-traditionalist as cults.”

John 12:12-14; “The next day the large crowd that had come for the “Passover” Feast heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him. They began to shout, “Hosanna! Blessed is the One who comes in the name of the Lord! Blessed is the king of Israel!” (14) Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written, “Do not be afraid, people of Zion; look, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt!”) “See Psalms 118:25-26 and Zech 9:9”

“People of Zion” is an altered translation for English speaking readers; it should read “daughters of Zion.” Because of what Jesus’ church is to Him, “His bride.” Zachariah’s prophecy includes what Jesus did and what He is going to do.

(Zachariah 9:9-10; “Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Look! Your king is coming to you: He is legitimate and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey – on a young donkey, the foal of a female donkey. (10) I will remove the chariot from Ephraim and the warhorse from Jerusalem and the battle bow will be removed. Then He will announce peace to the nations. His dominion will be from sea to sea and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.”)

Jesus fulfilled only part of Zachariah’s prophecy. He is yet to take away war and announce peace to the nations. Jesus came into Jerusalem on the tenth day of Nisan, “God’s calendar’s first month” and was as it were, hemmed in, until the fourteenth, “Passover.”

(Exodus 12:1-3 “The Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, “This month is to be your beginning of months; it will be your first month of the year. Tell the whole community of Israel, ‘In the tenth day of this month they each must take a lamb for themselves according to their families – a lamb for each household.”)

On the tenth day of Nisan - Abib, Jesus allowed Himself to be as the sacrificial Lamb as described in “Exodus 12: and Zachariah 9:9-10. Additionally on the tenth day of Abib, “Nisan” marks the day Joshua led the Israelites into their promised lands and when manna was no longer provided. God’s preplanning is awesome.

(John 12:16; Jesus’ disciples did not understand these things when they first happened, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him and that these things had happened to Him.”) The Apostles preaching Jesus “was from their witness, revelations and Jesus’ giving them understanding of the  prophet’s writings.” All who try to teach should do more of the same.

(John 12:17-19; “So the crowd who had been with Jesus when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead were continuing to testify about it. Because they had heard that Jesus had performed this miraculous sign, the crowd went out to meet Him. Thus the Pharisees said to one another, “You see that you can do nothing. Look, the world has run off after Him!”) Think what would happen in denominations, if people truly “ran after Jesus today?” When Jesus returns, “denominations will no longer made merchandise of people.”

(John 12:20-26; “Now some Greeks were among those who had gone up to worship at the “Passover” Feast “of Unleavened Bread.” So these approached Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and requested, “Sir, we would like to see Jesus.” Philip went and told Andrew, and they both went and told Jesus. Jesus replied, “The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. I tell you the solemn truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces much grain. (25) The one who loves his life destroys it, and the one who hates his life in this world guards it for eternal life. If anyone wants to serve Me, he must follow Me and where I am, My servant will be too. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”)

This is the second time John records Jesus’ speaking these words. Serving the true Jesus is true freedom. Remember Jesus’ words, “many will come saying, I am the Christ and deceive many.” Hate is a strong word and in the English language, we have no single word to translate its meaning. (“Love less by comparison” is the meaning from Greek.”) We should, “love our physical lives less by comparison to that of loving God’s Way.”

(John 12:27-33; “Now My soul, ’inner being’ is greatly distressed. And what should I say? ‘Father, deliver me from this hour’? No.! But, for this very reason I have come to this hour. Father, glorify Your Name.” Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.” The crowd that stood there and heard the voice said that it had thundered. Others said that an angel had spoken to Him. Jesus said, “This voice has not come for My benefit but for yours. Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be driven out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to Myself.” (33) (Now Jesus said this to indicate clearly what kind of death He was going to die.”) Remember, Jesus’ followers compare spiritual to spiritual, understanding, “the fleshly mind cannot think spiritual.”

Who is the ruler of this world today? When will he be driven out? Jesus said we should read “His Revelations to John” out loud.

(Rev 20:1-3; “Then I saw an angel descending from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the abyss and a huge chain. He seized the dragon – the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan – and tied him up for a thousand years. The angel then threw him into the abyss and locked and sealed it so that he could not deceive the nations until the one thousand years were finished. (After these things he must be released for a brief period of time.)

(4-6; Then I saw thrones and seated on them were those who had been given authority to judge. I also saw the spirits of those who had been beheaded because of the testimony about Jesus and because of the Word of God. These had not worshiped the beast or his image and had refused to receive his mark on their forehead or hand. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were finished.) This is the first resurrection. (6) Blessed and holy is the one who takes part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with Him for a thousand years.”)

May we each be spiritually led to believe IN Jesus, as He manifest Himself to be in His Word.
