Genesis and the New Covenant, chapter 5

To: 11,868 Persons being made temples of God’s spirit: “Churches of God.”

7/13/18, God’s 5th month, AV 1, 5778 until sunset. (Observe God’s New Moon.)

Its our created, inherited from our first parent’s nature, “we do desire to choose what’s right, wrong, good and evil for ourselves. It’s His likeness God created in Adam and inherited by humankind. Internally, “we do desire to be divine, that is have a Godly nature.” Satan too, desired to be divine, “but attempted to take what can only be gifted.” Likewise when people attempt to be divine - spiritual, “they try to take what can only be gifted.” It’s appealing to our created nature! (It appealed to Eve and she sold Adam on the merit of taking, “what can only be gifted.”) Satan showed his nature when tempting Jesus. It’s like prideful people saying, “I did it my way” “I am my own person” and “no one tells me what to do.” It’s thinking one’s self divine! It’s Satan’s second lie. Worldly religion believes in some form of Satan’s second lie, “practice certain rituals and you’ll be as divine.” Satan was suggesting, “God is holding back, keeping you depending on Him.” Satan did give out a partial truth.

God’s divine nature “His Spirit” is gifted, “when one is spiritually born from above.” As was a part of God initially created in Adam, “a spiritual component of God is created “when a person is born again.” A gifted Godly nature that gives “the desire to love as God loves, overcome shortcomings and grow in the knowledge of God.” God’s imputed nature converts one from a “belief that” to a “belief IN.” (A belief IN that requires action.)

Believers IN Jesus are called to overcome that inherited from Adam nature and Satan’s temptations to the end. Remember our Mediator “Jesus” was tempted by Satan and overcame each temptation. Jesus never denied that Satan had power to give what he promised! Satan knew Jesus was Creator, Re-Creator, Sustainer, Redeemer, our Mediator, coming king of kings and would ultimately take him out.

(Matt 4:1-10; “Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After He fasted forty days and forty nights He was famished. The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.” But Jesus answered, “It is written, ‘Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Then the devil took Him to the holy city, had Him stand on the highest point of the temple, and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written, ‘He will command His angels concerning You’ and ‘with their hands they will lift You up, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’” Jesus said to him, “Once again it is written: ‘You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.’” Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their grandeur. (9) And he said to Jesus, “I will give You all these things if You throw Yourself to the ground and worship me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go away, Satan! For it is written: ‘You are to worship the Lord your God and serve only Him.’” Then the devil left Him, and angels came and began ministering to His needs.”)

Understand, “we’re affected by temptations.” We must look to God for power to overcome them. (Jesus said; “I tell you the solemn truth, the slave is not greater than his master, nor is the one who is sent as a messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you understand these things, you will be blessed if you do them.” John 13:16-17)

God allows Satan to “put leaders in place according to what people deserve.” How so? (For His purpose, He’s allowing Satan to be the god of this world “until his appointed time.”) Jesus’ prophecy in Matthew 24: “reveals that this world’s people are being led down Satan’s broad path.” Destruction; “except for the fact that God is going to shorten the time.” (Matt 24:22; Jesus said; “And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved. But for the sake of the Elect those days will be cut short.”)

Jesus’ words are in the past tense because “His prophecy is sure.” The same Lord that delivered Abraham, Isaac and Jacob’s descendents, “the Israelites” from Egypt, “sin” is the same Jesus that’s coming back as King of Kings. (He doesn’t change, He’s the same yesterday, today and forever.” Heb 13:8) (Rom 15:4; “all previous history is written for our learning.”)

Today, the whole world is practicing the pagan ways of people whose lands God gave the Israelites. Serving gods of their imagination. God delivered the Israelites from sinful Egypt, “setting them apart, similar to how He calls and sets His chosen apart today.” Through Moses, God explained how His people were to be separate from the world.

(Deut 7:1-6; “When the Lord your God brings you to the land that you are going to occupy and forces out many nations before you – Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, seven nations more numerous and powerful than you – and God delivers them over to you and you attack them, you must utterly annihilate them. Make no treaty with them and show them no mercy! You must not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons, for they “these daughters” will turn your sons away from Me to worship other gods. Then the anger of the Lord will erupt against you and He will quickly destroy you. (5) Instead, this is what you must do to them: You must tear down their altars, shatter their sacred pillars, cut down their sacred Asherah poles, and burn up their idols. For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. He has chosen you to be His people, prized above all others on the face of the earth.”)

All because, the Lord God “Jesus’” promised Abraham. All planned for our, “we Christians” learning. In Noah’s day, “he was the only preacher of righteousness.” (In Abraham’s day, “only he, Sarah and nephew Lot were called to go out from their families and look to the God of creation.”) In this age; since Jesus’ ascension, “all who believe IN Jesus are Abraham’s heirs.” Jesus’ apostle Paul explained to the Galatians and all called Believers IN.

(Gal 3:26-29; “For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female – for all of you are One in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.”)

When Jesus returns as king of kings, He and His chosen will destroy everything relating to worshiping imaginary gods. David was led in the way of truth, which is to “genuinely love God‘s Way.” (David wrote, “Therefore I love Your commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold. Therefore I esteem all Your precepts concerning ALL things to be right; and I hate every false way.” Psalms 119:127-128)

Worldly people have a false concept of love. Godly love expands to a hatred of every false way. SO; what’s “every false way?” The holy scriptures clearly teach that Satan is the god of this age; “thus we conclude that this world is upside down with it’s traditions and ways of worship!”

Speaking of the Israelites Paul wrote: (Rom 3:3-6; “For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be TRUE, but every man a liar; as it is written, “That you might be justified in your sayings, and might OVERCOME when you are judged.” But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who takes vengeance? (I speak as a man) God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?”)

Paul continued, “there is a God led attitude we should ask for, if we are genuinely seeking His Way.”

(Romans 3:4-8; Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. (5) Let this MIND be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: (8) And being found in fashion as a man, HE humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”)

Jesus never thought to usurp His Father’s will. Christians never think to usurp Jesus’ commands. Worldly religions are about the business of building constituents, organizations and selling a way that seems right to themselves. Few teach that God knows each of us better than we can possibly know ourselves. So, God does the choosing, leading, removes leaders and gives to His chosen. When accepted various forms of Satan’s lie, “people think themselves to be as gods, form their own ideas of good and evil.” Yielding to what appeals to their inherited from Adam nature, “rather than our Creator‘s commands.” (This defines paganism.)

(Gen 3:4-7; “The serpent said to the woman, “Surely you will not die, (this is the first lie.) for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will open and you will be like divine (this is the second lie) beings who know good and evil.” (Does not each religion think “their eyes are open to decide right, wrong, good and evil?

(6-7; “When the woman saw that the tree produced fruit that was good for food, was attractive to the eye, and was desirable for making one wise, she took some of its fruit and ate it. She also gave some of it to her husband who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them opened, “felt guilt” and they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.”) Now they felt shame. Now, they did not want to face their Creator.

(Gen 3:8-13; “Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God moving about in the orchard at the breezy time of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the orchard. But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” (10) The man replied, “I heard you moving about in the orchard, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.” And the Lord God said, “Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?” The man said, “The woman whom You gave me, she gave me some fruit from the tree and I ate it.” So the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman replied, “The serpent tricked me, and I ate.”)

On judgment day, how many will say; “Lord that preacher told me.” Regarding God’s set holy calendar, how many will say; “Lord that preacher told me that Your apostle Paul changed the Sabbath and it was okay to keep days the Romans said were holy and worship times dedicated to their gods.”

Jesus addressed the serpent as the old devil and Satan. The same one Isaiah was inspired to write about in chapter 14:. During Jesus’ fleshly life He cast out demons and gave certain followers a like authority.

(Luke 10:17-20; “Then the seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your name!” So Jesus said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Look, I have given you ’apostles’ authority to tread on snakes and scorpions and on the full force of the enemy, and nothing will hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names stand written in heaven.”) Study Isaiah 14: Jesus inspired Isaiah to write of Satan’s desire to lord over, “he decided for himself, rather than look to his Creator, caused war in the heavens and his removal. Jesus saw him fall. Satan lied to Eve and the Lord Jesus spoke of his demise.
