Way revealed to Abraham, Moses & Jesus’ apostles, chapter 23

To: In Home churches of God, God’s 7th month, Tishrei 14, 5,881, 10/2/2020

At sunset today begins the weekly and sixth of seven annual Sabbaths the Feast of Tabernacles. Jesus had Israel live in temporary booths during this feast, instilling in them; their lives were temporary and to expect their resurrection. See Ezekiel 37. Jesus was keeping the eighth annual Sabbath when He said the following. John 7:37-39; On the last day of the feast, the greatest day, Jesus stood up and shouted out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me, and let the one who believes in Me drink. Just as the scripture says, ‘From within him will flow rivers of living water.’ (Now He said this about the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were going to receive, for the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.) Earlier Jesus had said; (John 3:7-8; Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must all be born from above.’ The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”)

God’s set aside Sabbaths for His called people are for examining selves, meditate on present and reflect on God’s planned future.

After Jesus’ resurrection He joined two men walking along discussing the events that had happened in Jerusalem. After listening and asking questions, Jesus said to them, “You foolish people – how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Wasn’t it necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and enter into His glory? Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, He interpreted to them the things written about Himself in all the scriptures.” Luke 24:25-27)

What a lesson that must have been. Not only did Jesus review, He interpreted the things written about Himself. He stated plainly that it was He, the sovereign Lord that had spoke through the prophets and that He was Israel’s Deliverer. This is the basic foundation Christians should wrap their minds around. A renunciation – apostasy of Jesus’ good news by imposters were camouflaging this truth. Jude and particularly Jesus’ apostles renounced people not teaching this Jesus. This cost all but John their lives and John was isolated to the island of Patmos. The apostasy is still in play throughout Christendom as they camouflage the real Jesus the sovereign Lord who gave the law and oracles to Israel through Moses.

(Isaiah 52:4-12; For this is what the sovereign Lord says: “In the beginning My people went to live temporarily in Egypt; Assyria oppressed them for no good reason, And now, what do we have here?” says the Lord. “Indeed My people have been carried away for nothing, those who rule over them taunt” says the Lord, “and My name is constantly slandered all day long. For this reason My people will know My name, for this reason they will know at that time that I am the One who says, ‘Here I am.’” How delightful it is to see approaching over the mountains the feet of a Messenger who announces peace, a Messenger who brings good news, who announces deliverance, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”)

After God’s chosen ‘Jacob’s family’ turned to imaginary gods likening to their neighbors’ causing God to withdraw blessings, their captors taunted them about their God. They taunted with questions like, where is your God? But God’s promises are sure and the world will know when He returns, that He’s the One who says, “Here I Am.” He’s the Messenger bringing peace, good news and deliverance. He likely shared with the two travelers that He inspired Isaiah to write about His suffering, future return and good news.

(Isaiah 52:13-15; Look, My servant will succeed! He will be elevated, lifted high, and greatly exalted. (just as many were horrified by the sight of you) He was so disfigured He no longer looked like a man; His form was so marred He no longer looked human so now (in the future) He will startle many nations. Kings will be shocked by His exaltation, for they will witness something unannounced to them, and they will understand something they had not heard about.)

When Jesus returns, opens minds and brings peace this world’s nations are going to be shocked at His exaltation. Through Joshua, Jesus reminded the Israelites about His promises never failing and prophesied about their present and future because of disobedience He knew was coming.

(Joshua 23:9-13; The Lord drove out from before you great and mighty nations; no one has been able to resist you to this very day. One of you makes a thousand run away, for the Lord your God fights for you as He promised you He would. Watch yourselves carefully! Love the Lord your God! But if you ever turn away and make alliances with these nations that remain near you, intermarry with them and establish friendly relations with them, know for certain that the Lord our God will no longer drive out these nations from before you. They will trap and ensnare you; they will be a whip that tears your sides and thorns that blind your eyes until you disappear from this good land the Lord your God gave you.)

Followers of Jesus have Israel’s history for learning. We that love God are likened to these Israelites, ‘always tempted by the world’s system of things, those who do not know God. This world’s religion’s ensnares and blinds the eyes of many would be followers of Jesus. They condone demonic cultures and societies that are likened to Israel’s captors, the ungodly nations.

In Jesus’ revelations to His apostle John and people whose minds He’s opened, He shares Satan’s past, his current influence on this world’s populations and their coming destruction. This world’s god is the same deceiving mixtures that influenced the nations God gave to His people.

Satan provides many comfort zones to the divided world, manifesting himself and his followers as angels of light. Jesus gives us prophesies about him and his followers characteristics through His apostle Paul.

(2Corinthians 4:1-6; Therefore since we have this ministry, just as God has shown us mercy, we do not become discouraged. But we have rejected shameful hidden deeds, not behaving with deceptiveness or distorting the word of God, but by open proclamation of the truth we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience before God. But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled only to those who are perishing, among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of those who do not believe so they would not see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not proclaim ourselves. but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who shined in our hearts to give us the light of the glorious knowledge of God in the face of Christ.)

God our Father gives a desire to know Him through His Son Jesus. As in every age and society, His truth through Paul’s message was hindered, (2Cor 11:12-15; “What I am doing I will continue to do, so that I may eliminate any opportunity for those who want a chance to be regarded as our equals in the things they boast about. For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will correspond to their actions.)

Paul’s corresponding Words, “Many will come in My name, saying I am He and deceive many.” See Matt 24: Jesus knows who will believe IN and who will not. Jesus’ apostle John recorded people’s actions and Jesus’ Words, demonstrating that fleshly people see but still don’t understand.

(John 12:37-43; Although Jesus had performed so many miraculous signs before them, they still refused to believe IN Him, so that the word of Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled. Isaiah wrote, “Lord, who has believed our message, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?” For this reason they could not believe, because again Isaiah said, “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they would not see with their eyes and understand with their heart, and turn to Me, and I would heal them.

Isaiah said these things because he saw Christ’s glory, and spoke about Him. Nevertheless, even among the rulers many believed IN Him, but because of the Pharisees they would not confess Jesus to be the Christ, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue. For, they loved praise from men more than praise from God.)

It’s sad but true, fleshly characteristic in so many people Jesus reveals Himself to love the praise of people, family and others more than the praise of God.

(John 12:44-50; But Jesus shouted out, The one who believes IN Me does not believe in Me, but in the One who sent Me, and the one who sees Me sees the One who sent Me. I have come as a Light into the world, so that everyone who believes IN Me should not remain in darkness. If anyone hears My words and does not obey them, I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world. The one who rejects Me and does not accept My Words has a judge; the word I have spoken will judge him at the last day. For I have not spoken from My own authority, but the Father Himself who sent Me has commanded Me what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His commandment is eternal life. Thus the things I say, I say just as the Father has told Me.)

The seventh of seven Sabbaths, ‘Last Great Day’ foreshadows final judgment.   Many erroneously teach that peace on earth is coming through organization of men. Jesus taught, peace will only come after His way is implemented on earth, with His ruling Saints.

(Matt 10:34-36; Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household.) When we practice Jesus’ Way we make ourselves the world’s enemy as Jesus and His apostles were!

(Matt 10:37-39; Whoever loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And whoever does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life because of Me will find it.)

     Last day judgment is prophesied through Jesus’ prophets. In Jesus’ millennial reign on earth, Satan bound and Jesus’ glory manifested, many resurrected in the flesh will become Believers IN. At a point of The Father’s choosing, a second, physical resurrection and death to unbelievers is prophesied. Jesus revealed a second death four times in His revelations to John. See Rev 2:11, 20:6, 20:14 and let’s read;

21:5-8; And the one seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new!” Then He said to me, “Write it down, because these words are reliable and true.” He also said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the one who is thirsty I will give water free of charge from the spring of the water of life. The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son. But to the cowards, unbelievers, detestable persons, murderers, the sexually immoral, and those who practice magic spells, idol worshipers, and all those who lie, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. That is the second death.) Does this sound like immortality at birth?
