Without yielding to God’s commandments, and oracles people are naturally prone to think highly of themselves, their superior intellect.’ It’s how Satan wants folks to think.

Holy Scripture reveals, ‘in this age since Jesus’ ascension, the mystery of God’s spirit living in people is only understood by those gifted.’ Its speculative but we believe, ‘people who desire to be divine decide and make assumptions to please self.’ Consider what we know on this subject. All inherited Adam and Eve’s lawless sin nature, and from a fleshly logic’s point of view it’s likely, some would consider the devil as having some merit for calling God a liar. Did the devil have any merit? NO. He attempted to put himself on a level equal with God, and wanted folks to assume God didn’t want them to know their full potential. Such could’ve been a reason in Israelite minds, to consider the imaginary gentile gods. Regardless, God pre-planned a fix, ‘His chosen would be gifted with a New Covenant, by the One who made the first covenant, one of dying for the sins of the world.’ That is, allowing all but a few to go the way seems right to themselves. (See Proverbs 14:12)

Jesus’ apostle Paul was gifted to understand God’s New Covenant with His called out people. (Colossians 1:25-29; I became a servant of the church according to the stewardship from God; given to me for you, in order to complete the word of God, that is, the mystery that has been kept hidden from ages and generations, but has now been revealed to His Saints. God wanted to make known to them the glorious riches of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. We proclaim Him by instructing and teaching all people with all wisdom so that we may present every person mature in Christ. Toward this goal I also labor, struggling according to His power that powerfully works in me.) As always study the whole text.

So again, consider why God’s Old Covenant had to be changed, so His called could be saved by grace. Has God changed? Has humanity changed? No on both counts! God had purpose in giving people over until a set time.

(Rom 1:24-32; Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity, to dishonor their bodies among themselves. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creation rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.)

Abraham’s day and ours, ‘whole people groups like the Amorites, whose lands God gave Israel’, (when their sins reached His limit) choose a way seeming right in their fleshly minds, ‘but now by grace, God’s called Saints choose what He says is right through faith.

(Romans 1:26-32; For this reason God gave them over to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged the natural sexual relations for unnatural ones, and likewise the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed in their passions for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. (God’s giving people over, allows the hostiles many ideologies to choose from, to flourish, confuse, and cause chaos in the world.)

And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what should not be done. They are filled with every kind of unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, malice. They are rife with envy, murder, strife, deceit, hostility. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, contrivers of all sorts of evil, disobedient to parents, senseless, covenant-breakers, heartless, ruthless. Although they fully know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but also approve of those who practice them.)

Secrets about God living in people through His spirit were not revealed to the Israelites, or any people groups before Jesus’ ascension, and now only revealed to the called in this latter New Covenant age. Paul explains.

(Eph 1:9-12; He did this when He REVEALED to us the secret of His will, according to His good pleasure that He set forth in Christ, toward the administration of the fullness of the times, to head up all things in Christ – ‘the things in heaven and the things on earth.’ In Christ we too have been claimed as God’s own possession, since we were predestined according to the one purpose of Him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of His will so that we, who were the first to set our hope on Christ, would be to the praise of His glory.) (That secret is revealed in Hebrews 12, review it.)

(Eph 1:13-14; And when you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation) – when you believed IN Christ – you were marked with the seal of the promised holy spirit, who is the down payment of our inheritance, until the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.)

God’s Holy Spirit imputed to the mind is the evidence of conversion, and the down payment of our inheritance, ‘eternal life.’)

(The ‘Greek’ words, ‘here Holy Spirit of promise’, has been translated as an attributive genitive.) Paul explained to the Galatians and all called people that this good news was told to Abraham ahead of time.

(Galatians 3:6-14; Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, so then, understand that those who believe are the sons of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, proclaimed the gospel to Abraham ahead of time, saying, ‘All the nations will be blessed in you.’ So then those who believe are blessed along with Abraham the believer. For all who rely on doing the works of the law are under a curse, because it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who does not keep on doing everything written in the book of the law.’ Now it is clear, no one is justified before God by the law, because the righteous one will live by faith. But the law is not based on faith, but the one who does the works of the law will live by them. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us (because it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’) in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles, so that we could receive the promise of the Spirit by faith.)

Christendom practices evolving traditions, yield to their fleshly intellect, confused denominational doctrines, and a love of this world’s system of things. To such people Jesus said; (Matt 23:33-36; You snakes, you offspring of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to the judgment of Gehenna? “For this reason I am sending you prophets and wise men and experts in the law, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues, and pursue from town to town, so that on you will come all the righteous blood shed on earth’, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. I tell you the truth, this generation will be held responsible for all these things!)

Denominational minded belief systems are much like Cain’s, who thought to worship God according to his own way of thinking. Allow the Hebrews writer.

(Hebrews 12:1-6; Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and run with endurance the race set out for us, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the pioneer and Perfector of our faith. For the joy set out for Him He endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God. Think of Him who endured such opposition against Himself by sinners, so that you may not grow weary in your souls and give up. You have not yet resisted to the point of bloodshed in your struggle against sin. And have you forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as Sons? “My son, do not scorn the Lord’s discipline or give up when He corrects you. For the Lord disciplines the one He loves and chastises every Son He accepts.) Quote from, Prov 3:11-12.

Jesus is our pioneer, and God the Father is revealed through God the Son, to show us the Father and reveal His deity. Believers in Jesus perfect their faith in Him. (Jesus’ love for us is greater than we can imagine, believers are heirs with Jesus and Abraham.)

(Hebrews 12:7-13; Endure your suffering as discipline; God is treating you as Sons. For what son is there that a father does not discipline? But if you do not experience discipline, something all sons have shared in, then you are illegitimate and are not sons. Besides, we have experienced discipline from our earthly fathers and we respected them; shall we not submit ourselves all the more to the Father of spirits and receive life? For they disciplined us for a little while as seemed good to them, but HE does so for our benefit, that we may share His holiness. Now all discipline seems painful at the time, not joyful. But later it produces the fruit of peace and righteousness for those trained by it. Therefore, strengthen your listless hands and your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but be headed.)

This is only possible through God’s revealing Himself and Jesus, to us individually.
