The Family, chapter 15

We should not judge, but teach truth and know God does the rest. When individuals desire to follow Jesus, it’s God gifted. (Phil 2:12-13; So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, continue working out your salvation with awe and reverence, for the one bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort — for the sake of His good pleasure — is God.)

Many attempt to follow Jesus have a fleshly desire to live a cleaner more wholesome life. That’s good, but a down side if led to a denomination of choice. Yielding to one’s fleshly rationale isn’t yielding to Jesus. Seeking a denomination may feel good but leads to various degrees of pagan worship. Let’s prayerfully consider Paul’s words to an obedient to The Way group.

Paul’s saying, ‘working out your own salvation’ may give latitude to trust one’s intellect. If God brings forth the desire and effort, its The Way, not a way.

Ponder the arrogance of denominations, when they live as little gods to themselves, assuming their way is truth. None publicly acknowledge God as He’s manifested to be in the Holy Scriptures. (Jesus ask, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth? Luke 18:8)

Called believers know Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, Re-creator, Creator, Sustainer, Deliverer, Savior, Mediator on our behalf before God the Father, Pre-planner and coming king of kings. (Even when Adam was being created, Jesus knew the outcome of their temptation and the outcome of His own work in reconciling the world to Himself.) It was God the Father and God the Son’s plan and will, ‘that as the sacrificial Lamb of God, the Christ, Jesus would be tempted by the devil, overcome on our behalf, and live for our example. During that temptation, Satan quoted from Psalms 91:2, and Jesus quoted from Deuteronomy 6:13, 17 and 8:3.

(Matthew 4:1-11; Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After He fasted forty days and forty nights He was famished. The Tempter came and said to Him, ‘If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become bread.’ But Jesus answered, ‘It is written, Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ Then the devil took Him to the holy city, had Him stand on the highest point of the temple, and said to Him, ‘If you are the Son of God, throw Yourself down, for it is written, ‘He will command His angels concerning You, and with their hands they will lift You up, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Once again it is written, You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.’ Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their grandeur. And he said to Him, ‘I will give you all these things if you throw Yourself to the ground and worship me.’ Then Jesus said to him, ‘Go away, Satan! For it is written, You are to worship the Lord your God and serve only Him.’ Then the devil left Him, and angels came and began ministering to His needs.)

The love of God on display! ‘God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.’ Everything from this earth’s Re-creation from chaos, to its created order, plant, animal, Adam and Eve’s Creation was pre-planned. Jesus’ saving righteous Noah from the flood, having him build an ark to withstand the flood, save he, family, and animals; and later calling Abraham, establishing through him a people of His own family purpose was pre-planned, as was calling Moses to be a type of Savior, for His called by promise people, from Egyptian bondage: likened to deliverance from present day bondage to this world’s system of things was for our learning.

Jesus gave Moses plans for a temple, ‘the likeness of the heavenly One’, with its furnishings, dividing Curtain to holy of holiness containing ‘the ark of the covenant’ with the law and Aaron’s rod that budded, representing heavenly Jerusalem where the spirits of God’s chosen would be purified. See The book of Hebrews, particularly chapter 12. Jesus told Nicodemus he should know these things.

(John 3:14-21; Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life. For this is the way God loved the world: He gave His One and only Son, so that everyone who believes IN Him will not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world should be saved through Him. The one who believes in Him is not condemned. The one who does not believe has been condemned already, because He has not believed in the name of the One and only Son of God. Now this is the basis for judging: that The Light has come into the world and people loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil deeds hates The Light and does not come to the Light, so that their deeds will not be exposed. But the one who practices The Truth comes to the light, so that it may be plainly evident that his deeds have been done in God.)

Believing IN JESUS is to seek, and know Him as He’s manifested to be in the Holy Scriptures. This world will be saved through Jesus. Not worldly religions. Denominations are about membership, influence, dominion, for the sake of pride and profit. Believers practice His truth.

It was pre-planned that the first covenant maker with His chosen, had to die, live again in order to make a new everlasting covenant as promised to Abraham. Jesus is now lifted up, the Mediator of that new covenant with chosen believers; now at the right hand of His Father and preparing to come again to bring peace and order to a demonic ruled earth. After one thousand years of peace on earth New Jerusalem will come down with God the Father. Its 12 gates already named for the 12 tribes of Israel and its 12 foundations named for the twelve apostles of the Lamb! (See Rev 21:12-14)

(John 14:1-14; “Do not let your hearts be distressed. You believe in God; believe also in Me. There are many dwelling places in My Father’s house. Otherwise, I would have told you, because I am going away to make ready a place for you. And if I go and make ready a place for you, I will come again and take you to be with Me, so that where I am you may be too. And you know the way where I am going.” Thomas said, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus replied, “I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you have known Me, you will know My Father too. And from now on you do know Him and have seen Him.” Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be content.” Jesus replied, “Have I been with you for so long, and you have not known Me, Philip? The person who has seen Me has seen the Father! How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you, I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father residing in Me performs His miraculous deeds. Believe Me that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me, but if you do not believe Me, believe because of the miraculous deeds themselves. I tell you the solemn truth, the person who believes IN Me will perform the miraculous deeds that I am doing, and will perform greater deeds than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in My Name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.”)

People can’t be Jesus’ ambassador or ask in Jesus’ name without God the Father’s revelations. Be called and made at ONE with Himself. (Asking in the name of Jesus, ‘is to ask in the nature of, in the spirit mind of Jesus.’) When God’s spirit is imputed to our minds, we desire to be ONE with Jesus just as Jesus is ONE with His Father. Our faith’s desires are that which pleases Him.

What Believing person, would want a mountain removed if it were not in God’s will? Who would want healing, except it be God’s will? (From our inherited fleshly logic, motivations are self serving. To conduct advertised healing services, and teach the so called, ‘name and claim it doctrine’ isn’t biblical.  Consider James’ understanding about such inherited fleshly logic.

(James 4:1-3; Where do the conflicts and where do the quarrels among you come from? Is it not from this, from your passions that battle inside you? You desire and you do not have; you murder and envy and you cannot obtain; you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask; you ask and do not receive because you ask wrongly, so you can spend it on your passions.)

Who discerns and recognizes fleshly motivations unless God reveals? Can a person claiming to be Christian, not practice God’s truth? If not they’re spiritual adulterers.

(James 4:4-10; Adulterers, do you not know that friendship with the world means hostility toward God? So whoever decides to be the world’s friend makes himself God’s enemy. Or do you think the scripture means nothing when it says, “The spirit that God caused to live within us has an envious yearning”? But He gives greater grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.” So submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and make your hearts pure, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn, and weep. Turn your laughter into mourning and your joy into despair. Humble yourselves before the Lord and He will exalt you.)

(For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all are made alive. 1 Cor 15:22)

De we understand the need, for asking God to change our nature?
