Until people are gifted with spiritual discernment, each view God from their fleshly inherited from Adam nature. Many attempt to believe in Jesus’ miracles and promises, but until called, gifted to believe in ‘His life blood and saved by promised grace message’ they’re conjuring up beliefs from withing their inherited nature. Our fleshly nature must be changed to Jesus’ spiritual nature to discern spiritual truths. We must rely on Jesus’ saving grace, from a gifted desire to love as He loves, believe IN and practice His Way. Believing IN is to know, God can create from nothing, He re-created wine, food and water, demonstrating that power. He can resurrect from ashes, or from when dead only four days as in the case of Lazarus.

Jesus’ powers were demonstrated when He made aged wine from water, fed thousands from one small basket, got water from a rock, made lepers completely well, caused the earth to shake and temple curtain split before resurrecting deceased Saints from their graves.

(Matt 27:51; Just then the temple curtain was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks were split apart.) The way to the inner sanctuary was opened, showing that each called out person is a priest to God.

(Matt 27:52-53; And tombs were opened, and the bodies of many Saints who had died were raised. (They came out of the tombs after His resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people.)

These resurrected Saints didn’t die a second physical death, at a point of God’s choosing, after Jesus’ ascension these were taken to heavenly Mount Zion. The second death had no power over them. (See Hebrews 12:22-24 and study the preceding verses.)

(Matt 27:54-56; Now when the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and what took place, they were extremely terrified and said, “Truly this One was God’s Son!” Many women who had followed Jesus from Galilee and given Him support were also there, watching from a distance. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.)

Satan’s concocted to have these many witnesses silenced as he inspired people ‘who were marked out for the prophesied condemnation.’ It seems to be the perfect time to study the short book of Jude. (Jude and James were sons of Mary and Joseph.)

(Jude 1:1-3; “From Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to those who are called, wrapped in the love of God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ. May mercy, peace, and love be lavished on you!” Dear friends, although I have been eager to write to you about our common salvation, I now feel compelled instead to write to encourage you to contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the Saints. That gifted faith of believing IN Jesus’ good news was entrusted to those God called.

(Jude 1:4; For certain men have secretly slipped in among you – men who long ago were marked out for the condemnation I am about to describe – ungodly men who have turned the grace of our God into a license for evil and who deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.)

Jude, James and Jesus’ apostles didn’t know Him as Lord, God and Creator until after His ascension, appearing in their locked room, showing His wounds, and some perhaps not until after Pentecost. (Some who were not supernaturally called, the apostasy minded, accomplishing their abominations by conjuring up a doctrine of mixed pagan and Judaism.) Yielded to demonic thinking appealed to the fleshly nature in religious unbelieving sects. The same pattern of deceit Satan used on Eve. Satan’s play book will not be done away with until Jesus binds him to that prophesied bottomless pit. (Now Jude reminds us that it was Jesus, the Lord that led Israel from Egyptian bondage.)

(Jude 1:5; Now I desire to remind you (even though you have been fully informed of these facts once for all) that Jesus, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, later destroyed those who did not believe.) Unbelievers, who refuse to believe IN when Jesus is revealed will ultimately be destroyed, Modern Christendom does not teach this Jesus!

(Jude 1:6; You also know that the angels who did not keep within their proper domain but abandoned their own place of residence, He has kept in eternal chains in utter darkness, locked up for the judgment of the great Day.) Jude writes past tense because this is as good as accomplished. Their demise is certain.

Jude 1:7; So also Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighboring towns, since they indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire in a way similar to these angels, (Rebellious angels that became demons, are now displayed as an example by suffering the punishment of eternal fire.)

Eternity for these was until they didn’t exist anymore. God can and will destroy demonic spirit beings.

(Jude 1:8-9; Yet these men, (the apostate) as a result of their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and insult the glorious ones. But even when Michael the archangel was arguing with the devil and debating with him concerning Moses’ body, he, (Michael) did not dare to bring a slanderous judgment, but said, “May the Lord rebuke you!”)

Michael’s is our good example; there’s no good purpose in debating with slanderous people nor the denominational minded.

(Jude 1:10-13; But these men do not understand the things they slander, and they are being destroyed by the very things that, like irrational animals, they instinctively comprehend. Woe to them! For they have traveled down Cain’s path, and because of greed have abandoned themselves to Balaam’s error; hence, they will certainly perish in Korah’s rebellion. These men are dangerous reefs at your love feasts, feasting without reverence, feeding only themselves. They are waterless clouds, carried along by the winds; autumn trees without fruit – twice dead, uprooted; wild sea waves, spewing out the foam of their shame; wayward stars for whom the utter depths of eternal darkness have been reserved.)

Apparently it’s already decided; people committing the apostate will die the second judgmental death. Deceived people teach a manufactured Jesus. Apparently, a reserved spot with Satan is their demise. Some of these, like Cain, who was jealous of his brother’s righteousness, persecute Believers IN Jesus. Others like Balaam, exercise a symbolism of truth and can’t repent of their erroneous ways.

(Jude 1:14-16; Now Enoch, the seventh in descent beginning with Adam, even prophesied of them, saying, “Look! The Lord is coming with thousands and thousands of His holy Ones, to execute judgment on all, and to convict every person of all their thoroughly ungodly deeds that they have committed, and of all the harsh words that ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” These people are grumblers and fault finders who go wherever their desires lead them, and they give bombastic speeches, enchanting folks for their own gain.)

Enoch was one of the righteous, revealing before the flood that Jesus would make a second coming. (Beware of charismatically talented people, able to give bombastic speeches and whip up crowds with deceiving words.)

(Jude 1:17-23; But you, dear friends, recall the predictions foretold by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. For they said to you, “In the end time there will come scoffers, propelled by their own ungodly desires.” These people are divisive, worldly, devoid of the Spirit. But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith, by praying in the Holy Spirit, maintain yourselves in the love of God, while anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that brings eternal life. And have mercy on those who waver; save others by snatching them out of the fire; have mercy on others, coupled with a fear of God, hating even the clothes stained by the flesh.)

Pagan practices stain and we can’t love both, righteous and pagan practices. People hold to what they love!

(Jude 1:24-25; Now to the one who is able to keep you from falling, and to cause you to stand, rejoicing, without blemish before His glorious presence, to the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all time, and now, and for all eternity. Amen.)

We know whether we’re gifted to believe IN the God of Jude!

Continuing in John’s gospel; Jesus is teaching that the manna He gave the Israelites forty years foreshadowed God’s giving eternal life to Believers. Foreshadowing our spiritually digesting, discerning Him.

(John 6:51; I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats from this bread he will live forever. The bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.)

Jesus gave His fleshly body as a sacrificial lamb. (See Isaiah 52: to discern the degree of that giving!) If we believe IN Jesus as He manifest Himself to be in the holy scriptures, we will be in the first resurrection, so live forever. To believe in our righteous Creator, is to obey and love Him with our whole being.

(John 6:52-58; Then the Jews who were hostile to Jesus began to argue with one another, “How can this man give us His flesh to eat?” Jesus said to them, “I tell you the solemn truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves.”) (The Holy Spirit leads to immerse in and clothe with Jesus.)

Eternal life is only through our believing IN Jesus. We aren’t born to live forever someplace! Jesus is the Believer’s life.

(Matt 22:36-40; A Pharisees ask: “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?” Jesus said to him, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.”)

When God’s spirit is imputed to our minds; “we aren’t in need of the law as our guardian.”

(John 6:54- “The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. The one who eats My flesh and drinks My blood resides in Me, and I in him. Just as the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so the one who consumes Me will live because of Me. This is the bread that came down from heaven; it is not like the bread your ancestors ate, but then later died. The one who eats this bread will live forever.”) How so.? God gives each called Believers IN, His Spirit; which is the gift of immortality. Jesus referred to this fathering as, “being born from above.”

The Hebrew writer explains that we worshipers; “we Believers IN” are before a holy assembly when we pray to God.

(Heb 12:22-24; “But you, ’followers of Jesus’  have come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the assembly and congregation of the firstborn, who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous, who have been made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks of something better than Abel’s does.”)

Abel was the righteous son of Adam and Eve. His brother, “Cain” killed him because of his righteousness and jealously. Abel believed IN and pleased God with his offering. Cain practiced his doing ‘living’ according to what seemed right to himself; “he imagined that a sacrifice of his choosing would please God.” That thinking made Cain a little god to himself. Such as are all people who live according to what seems right to themselves.
