   Satan wants you thinking, your truth isn’t my truth. When we make the statement, (there’s only one truth) people’s likely response is, (I’ll find my own thank you.) It’s the way Satan has divided this world system of things. It’s the way Cain thought, (God should be pleased with a sacrifice of my choosing.) Review verses from last study about hostile people’s thinking, and Jude’ overview.

  (Jude 1:10-13; But these don’t understand the things they slander and they are being destroyed by the very things that, ‘like irrational animals, they instinctively comprehend.’ Woe to them! For they have traveled down Cain’s path and because of greed have abandoned themselves to Balaam’s error; hence, they will certainly perish in Korah’s rebellion. These men are dangerous reefs at your love feasts, feasting without reverence, feeding only themselves. They are waterless clouds, carried along by the winds; autumn trees without fruit – twice dead, uprooted; wild sea waves, spewing out the foam of their shame; wayward stars for whom the utter depths of eternal darkness have been reserved.)  (Modern day clergy described here.)

     God’s is, the way, not a way. (Heb13:8-9; Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever! Do not be carried away by all sorts of strange teachings.)

   When people live with knowledge that they’re created in God’s image and for His purpose, they’re submissive to God’s commands. Satan would have each yielding to instinctive behavior. (Abraham believed in and followed God’s instructions.)

   (Gen 14:16-20; Abraham retrieved all the stolen property. He also brought back his nephew Lot and his possessions, as well as the women and the rest of the people. After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, the king of Sodom went out to meet Abram in the Valley of Shaveh (known as the King’s Valley).

   Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. (Now He was the priest of the Most High God.) He blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by the Most High God, Creator of heaven and earth. Worthy of praise is the Most High God, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” Abram gave Melchizedek a tenth of everything.)

  Melchizedek was and is the Lord God, Jesus, promising Abraham the Canaanite lands and manifesting Himself in the flesh. (Net Bible translators gives the following. Melchizedek remains an enigma. In a book filled with genealogical records he appears on the scene without a genealogy and then disappears from the narrative.) (In Psalm 110 the Lord declares that the Davidic king (Jesus) is a royal priest after the pattern of Melchizedek.   The question is, (did Abraham giving a tenth of everything to Melchizedek, all he owned? or bounty from war?) Remember Abraham kept nothing for himself, retrieving Lot’s and the king of Sodom’s possessions only.

   (Gen 14:21-24; Then the king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me the people and take the possessions for yourself.” But Abram replied to the king of Sodom, “I raise my hand to the Lord, the Most High God, Creator of heaven and earth, and vow that I will take nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal. That way you can never say, ‘It is I, who made Abram rich.’ I will take nothing except compensation for what the young men have eaten. As for the share of the men who went with me – Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre – let them take their share.)

  Many use this text to make merchandise of others and use it to support tithing, which is shaky ground.

More covenant promises.  (Gen 15:1-5; After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Fear not, Abram! I am your Shield and the One who will reward you in great abundance.” But Abram said, “O sovereign Lord, what will you give me, since I continue to be childless and my heir is Eliezer of Damascus? Abram added, “Since You have not given me a descendant, then look, one born in my house will be my heir!” But look, the word of the Lord came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but instead a son who comes from your own body will be your heir.” The Lord took him outside and said, “Gaze into the sky and count the stars – if you are able to count them!” Then he said to him, “So will your descendants be.”)

   We can’t know full understanding of God’s Word to Abraham, without understanding the revelations from Jesus to His apostle Paul.  (Galatians 3:23-29; Now before faith came, we (Christians) were held in custody under the law, being kept as prisoners until the coming faith would be revealed. Thus the law had become our guardian until Christ, (is formed in us) so that we could be declared righteous by (His) faith. But now that (His) faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. For in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God through faith. For all of you who were baptized into Christ, have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female – for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.) All God the Father will ultimately father, are Abraham’s heirs.

   We’re blessed to understand God’s goodness. Before the foundation of the world, before His millennial reign and Satan being bound; He planned a chosen people to be fathered and be At One with Him. All God’s dealing with His chosen people since Adam, through Abraham, Moses, Joshua and David, looked forward to the Messiah’s first and second coming. Blood sacrifices represented Jesus ‘as the Lamb of God’ sacrifice and His remitting sins. Looking to the time when God the Father’s chosen people would be at one, (as in a marriage covenant) to Jesus. The rebellious inherited from Adam nature changed. Satan will no longer have influence.

   By Noah’s time, world’s people had become pagan; and again by the time of Abraham, a vast majority were hostile to God. Keeping with His covenant promise to Abraham, Jesus called Moses to be His deliver to Jacob’s descendants. (Israel’s history is for all follower’s of Jesus’ learning.) Today, few believe in God’s promises through His prophets like Ezekiel. Restudy the text taken from Ezekiel in our last study.

   God’s plans for this earth and the saving of His people have nothing to do with anyone’s particular behavior. God’s plan is for Abraham’s heirs, “physical and spiritual” preplanned, predestined and absolute for His chosen.

   After the Lord told Abraham that his future descendants would inherit all the promised lands, Abraham assumed his servant would be that heir, but the Lord said; “a son who comes from your own body will be your heir.”   

  Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord considered his response of faith, proof of genuine loyalty. (Review Gen 15:6) Abraham believed God, but as the years past, he began to think, perhaps God needs help. So when Sarah suggested he take her hand maid to wife, he did.

   (Gen 15:7-8; The Lord said to Abram, “I am the Lord who brought you out from Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to possess. But Abram said, “O sovereign Lord, by what can I know that I am to possess it?)

    How many Christians realize that God actually leads them mentally, spiritually and from place to place? When we’re called to be one of His, God is in charge and leads for His purpose. This fact is demonstrated to believers ‘through God’s promises to Abraham, regarding His descendants.’

   (Gen 15:9-16; The Lord said to Abram, “Take for Me a heifer, a goat, and a ram, each three years old, along with a dove and a young pigeon.” So Abram took all these for Him and then cut them in two and placed each half opposite the other, but he did not cut the birds in half. When birds of prey came down on the carcasses Abram drove them away. When the sun went down, Abram fell sound asleep, and great terror overwhelmed him. Then the Lord said to Abram, “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a foreign country. They will be enslaved and oppressed for four hundred years. But I will execute judgment on the nation that they will serve. Afterward they will come out with many possessions. But as for you, you will go to your ancestors in peace and be buried at a good old age. In the fourth generation your descendants will return here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its limit.)

   Seems to be one of God’s characteristics that He puts rulers in position and allow Satan a degree of leverage as people become hostile.

God knew at what point, He’d remove hostile Amorites and give their land to the Israel, some 400 plus years later. Before that, Jacob’s son, (Joseph) would be sent to Egypt ahead of the family, to become a ruler under the Pharaoh and make a place for Jacob’s family. Some 400 plus years later God would raise up Moses and make him a deliverer of His people. Moses would be likened to The Deliver, (Jesus.) Remember, God inspired Moses to tell the Israelites, “the Lord will raise up One like me, who you will hear.” (Deut 18:15-19) God’s new covenant with His chosen is through our Savior, Jesus.

  God’s New Covenant is with His chosen is predestined to be, “a born from above people” “a transformed from their old inherited nature people” by the miraculous imputation of His spirit. Jesus had His apostle Paul explain to the Romans and all His followers, how God spiritually transforms His people.

  (Rom 8:3-10; For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that the righteousness of the law might be FULFILLED in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For, they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally (fleshly) minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is (eternal) LIFE and peace. Because the carnal mind is ENMITY against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh CANNOT please God. But you (believers) are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God DWELLS in you. Now if any man has NOT the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His. And if Christ BE IN YOU, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is LIFE because of righteousness.)

  Immortality is only by, “being born from above” through Jesus’ calling. The righteousness of God’s law is fulfilled in people gifted with His spirit. His people are led to have no confidence in the flesh and look to God’s Way, concerning all things. The covenant God make with Abram, will be fulfilled when he and all Jesus’ followers are resurrected, when Jesus with His Elect rule this earth.

   True to titles Jesus gave him, Satan divides nations and religions as he has Christendom, who’ll celebrates the winter equinox through Jan. 14, as they attempt to accommodate this world’s pagan cultures.

   Eastern/Greek Orthodox Catholics and followers celebrate Jesus’ birth, Jan. 7, ‘Gregorian Calendar’, called ‘Old Christmas’ because of its close proximity to the ‘Julian Calendar which predates it, and their New Year is celebrated on or near January 14.  Roman Catholics and followers celebrate Dec 25 and Jan.1. The winter equinox season was selected by these Universe Church organizers to celebrate Jesus’ birth and attract sun worshipers.

  Western world Catholics are headquartered at Rome Italy, and Eastern/Greek Catholics are headquartered at Constantinople, (Constantinople is held in special regard.) Each group selects a head Priest or Pope. Differences are, (Eastern Orthodox can marry, Western Romans can’t) Notable also are the degrees of abominable life practices condoned that’s abominable to the God of Israel. Behaviors condoned in the west; opposed to the east.

   True to Jesus’ prophecy, ‘from these leaders, down through their ranks, world leaders are influences to the degree that our Creator God isn’t believed in today. If He were they’d know mankind’s attempt to control the weather is foolish. They’d know Jesus is this universe’s Sustainer, One who’s going to return with His Saints and righteously rule this earth. When Jesus returns, binds Satan and is King of Kings, the world will know Him and ultimately every knee will bow. God always planned to put His Spirit, (a love of His Way mindset) in the inner being of His chosen people; it began with promises to Abraham that includes Jesus’ followers. NOW BACK TO GENESIS.

  (Genesis 11:27-32; This is the account of Terah who became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran, who  became the father of Lot and died in the land of his birth, (Ur of the Chaldeans) while his father Terah was still alive. Abram and Nahor took wives for themselves.

   The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor’s wife was Milcah; she was the daughter of Haran, the father of both Milcah and Iscah, but Sarai was barren; she had no children.

   Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot (the son of Haran), and his daughter-in-law ‘Sarai’, his son Abram’s wife, and with them he set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. When they came to Haran, they settled there. The lifetime of Terah was 205 years, and he died in Haran.)

   ABRAHAM WAS THE CHOSEN. Moses’ reveals the account of Abraham’s life, his faith and his humility is demonstrated. (Gen 12:1-3; Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go out from your country, your relatives, and your father’s household to the land that I will show you. Then I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you, and I will make your name great, so that you will exemplify divine blessing. I will bless those who bless you, but the one who treats you lightly I must curse, and all the families of the earth will bless one another by your name.) (Note that Abraham had done nothing to deserve God’s choosing, he was chosen by grace.)

  These promises stretch into Jesus’ millennial reign, “all the families of the earth will bless one another by Abraham’s name.” Abraham’s name has and will continue to be magnified, because God promised. Today’s followers of Jesus are spiritual Israelites, (Jews) and Abraham’s heirs.

   As was Abraham, followers of Jesus are called to separate from the world. This Christians are called to do, mentally and spiritually. Like Jesus’ followers, Abraham was in the world but not of the world.

   (Gen 12:4-9; So Abram left, just as the Lord had told him to do, and Lot went with him. (Now, Abram was 75 years old when he departed from Haran.) And Abram took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, and all the possessions they had accumulated and the people they had acquired in Haran, and they left for the land of Canaan. They entered the land of Canaan. Abram traveled through the land as far as the oak tree of Moreh at Shechem. (At that time the Canaanites (descendants of Ham) were in the land.)

   The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” So Abram built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him. Then he moved from there to the hill country east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and worshiped the Lord. Abram continually journeyed by stages down to the Negev.)

    Abraham’s material blessings included servants. His faith was gifted when God appeared to him, ‘a faith belief in the Lord God’s promise’, that his descendants, (yet to be born) would be given these Canaanite lands.

   How is it that our believing in faith gifted today? Jesus explains at John 3:7-8; ‘Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must all be born from above.’ The wind blows wherever it will and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.’ (Jesus’ Spirit, ‘the Holy Spirit of truth’ is miraculously gifted, and its result evidence is a love of Jesus’ Way.) Faithful Abraham grew early on, “but he thought he needed to help God keep His promises.” (Remember Moses too, thought to help God keep promises before the bush fire experience.)

   (Gen 12:10-13; There was a famine in the land, so Abram went down to Egypt to stay for a while because the famine was severe. As he approached Egypt, he said to his wife, Sarai, “Look, I know that you are a beautiful woman. When the Egyptians see you they will say, ‘This is his wife.’ Then they will kill me but will keep you alive. So tell them you are my sister so that it may go well for me because of you and my life will be spared on account of you.)

   Abraham’s reasoning was fleshly at the time. Egyptians’ reputations were the taking of wives. God allows us to see Abraham’s shortcomings for our learning. May we each know that Jesus is our Savior, Sustainer and Deliverer.

   (Gen 12:14-20; When Abram entered Egypt, the Egyptians saw that the woman was very beautiful. When Pharaoh’s officials saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh. So Abram’s wife was taken into the household of Pharaoh, and he did treat Abram well on account of her. Abram received sheep and cattle, male donkeys, male servants, female servants, female donkeys, and camels. But the Lord struck Pharaoh and his household with severe diseases because of Sarai, Abram’s wife. So Pharaoh summoned Abram and said, “What is this you have done to me? Why didn’t you tell me that she was your wife? Why did you say, ‘She is my sister,’ so that I took her to be my wife? Here is your wife! Take her and go!” Pharaoh gave his men orders about Abram, and so they expelled him, along with his wife and all his possessions.) (Abraham’s crossing into Egypt was one of his learning experiences. Remember, the scripture teaches that even Jesus learned form things suffered.)

   (Heb 5:8-10; Although He was a Son, He learned obedience through the things He suffered, and by being perfected in this way, He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, and He was designated by God as high priest in the order of Melchizedek.)  (Our Lord’s brother “Jude” knew about Enoch’s prophecies.)

        (Jude 1:14-16; “Now Enoch, the seventh in descent beginning with Adam, even prophesied of them saying, “Look! The Lord is coming with thousands and thousands of His holy Ones, to execute judgment on all, to convict every person of all their thoroughly ungodly deeds that they have committed and of all the harsh words that ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” These people are grumblers and fault-finders who go wherever their desires lead them and they give bombastic speeches, enchanting folks for their own gain.) Always study the whole, for our purpose we back up to verses 10-13.    (Gen 13:1-13; So Abram went up from Egypt into the Negev. He took his wife and all his possessions with him, as well as Lot. (Now Abram was very wealthy in livestock, silver, and gold.) And he journeyed from place to place from the Negev as far as Bethel. He returned to the place where he had pitched his tent at the beginning, between Bethel and Ai. This was the place where he had first built the altar, and there Abram worshiped the Lord. Now Lot, who was traveling with Abram, also had flocks, herds, and tents. But the land could not support them while they were living side by side. Because their possessions were so great, they were not able to live alongside one another. So there were quarrels between Abram’s herdsmen and Lot’s herdsmen. (Now the Canaanites and the Perizzites were living in the land at that time.) Abram said to Lot, “Let there be no quarreling between me and you, between my herdsmen and your herdsmen, for we are close relatives. Is not the whole land before you? Separate yourself now from me. If you go to the left, then I’ll go to the right, but if you go to the right, then I’ll go to the left.” Lot looked up and saw the whole region of the Jordan. He noticed that all of it was well-watered (before the Lord obliterated Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, all the way to Zoar. Lot chose for himself the whole region of the Jordan and traveled toward the east. So the relatives separated from each other. (Abram settled in the land of Canaan, but Lot settled among the cities of the Jordan plain and pitched his tents next to Sodom. (Now the people of Sodom were extremely wicked rebels against the Lord.)

   (SEE THE PARALLELS of Lot’s decision to most of the world’s?) Review (2Cor 6:14-18) When Lot chose to live in the corrupt cities, “the Jordan plain next to Sodom” he put himself and family in jeopardy. History records are preserved for our learning. (Ezek 36:22-23; Therefore say to the house of Israel, This is what the sovereign Lord says: It is not for your sake that I am about to act, O house of Israel, but for the sake of My holy reputation which you profaned among the nations where you went. I will magnify My great name that has been profaned among the nations, that you have profaned among them. The nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the sovereign Lord, when I magnify Myself among you in their sight.)

   God scattered the ten tribes and later the tribe of Judah because of their disobedience. A remnant of Judah was allowed to return during Hezekiah’s day, only to be scattered again. (Today, a remnant is in what’s called Israel and it appears they may be scattered again.) (Regardless; God is going to gather Israel from the world at large and settle them in the lands promised through Abraham.) It’s Jesus’ prophecy through Ezekiel too. (Ezek 36:24-27; ‘I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries; then I will bring you to your land. I will sprinkle you with pure water and you will be clean from all your impurities. I will purify you from all your idols. I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you; I will take the initiative and you will obey my statutes and carefully observe My regulations.)

   It’s all about God’s planning & promises. As is grace to the called in this age, gifted salvation is NOT for any goodness on our part. All promises to Abraham and Believing in through Jesus. (Israel and Jesus’ followers is the subject here.) May we know, He is the Almighty, the all in all!

   (Ezek 36:28-31; Then you will live in the land I gave to your fathers; you will be My people, and I will be your God. I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and multiply it; I will not bring a famine on you. I will multiply the fruit of the trees and the produce of the fields, so that you will never again suffer the disgrace of famine among the nations. Then you will remember your evil behavior and your deeds which were not good; you will loathe yourselves on account of your sins and your abominable deeds.)

   God gives genuine repentance, some now as was David. After Jesus’ return all spiritual Israelites, will abhor themselves for having prostituting themselves to other gods. They’ll hate themselves for practicing ways that are an abomination to Jesus.

   (Ezek 36:32-38; Understand that it is not for your sake I am about to act, declares the sovereign Lord. Be ashamed and embarrassed by your behavior, O house of Israel. “‘This is what the sovereign Lord says: In the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will populate the cities and the ruins will be rebuilt. The desolate land will be plowed, instead of being desolate in the sight of everyone who passes by. They will say, “This desolate land has become like the garden of Eden; the ruined, desolate, and destroyed cities are now fortified and inhabited. Then the nations which remain around you will know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruins and replanted what was desolate. I, the Lord, have spoken – and I will do it. (Ezekiel is God’s prophet. These things are yet to be! We are witnessing the characteristics of our Creator God.) “This is what the sovereign Lord says: I will allow the house of Israel to ask Me to do this for them: I will multiply their people like sheep. Like the sheep for offerings, like the sheep of Jerusalem during her appointed feasts, so will the ruined cities be filled with flocks of people. Then they will know that I am the Lord.)

  (Genesis 14:1-15; is about the kings and their wars and conquered territories. (Seemingly, these were descendants of Ham.)

   (Gen 14:8-15; A fugitive came and told Abram the Hebrew. Now Abram was living by the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, the brother of Eshcol and Aner. (All these were allied by treaty with Abram.) When Abram heard that his nephew had been taken captive, he mobilized his 318 trained men who had been born in his household, and he pursued the invaders as far as Dan. Then, during the night, Abram divided his forces against them and defeated them. He chased them as far as Hobah, which is north of Damascus.) Remember God is Abraham’s Deliverer.

  To His followers Jesus said, (John 15:19; If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you do not belong to the world, but I chose you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you.) Followers of Jesus are supernaturally spiritually led to come out from among this world’s system of things as was our mentor Abraham.

    Jesus also said through John, (John 1John 2:15-16; Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him, because all that is in the world (the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the arrogance produced by material possessions) is not from the Father, but is from the world.) Satan is allowed to be this world’s god, until a previously set time, then he and his will be bound. (Followers of Jesus’ interest in this world’s system of things, but in being obedient to His will. 

Abraham may have witnessed, the tower of Babylon experience.

   (Gen 11:1-9; The whole earth had a common language and a common vocabulary. When the people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there. Then they said to one another, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” (They made brick instead of stone and tar instead of mortar.) Then they said, “Come, let’s build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens so that we may make a name for ourselves. Otherwise we will be scattered (or that we be not scattered) across the face of the entire earth.” But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower that the people had started building. And the Lord said, “If as one, people all sharing a common language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be beyond them. Come, let’s go down and confuse their language so they won’t be able to understand each other.” So the Lord scattered them from there across the face of the entire earth and they stopped building the city. That is why its name was called Babel – because there the Lord confused the language of the entire world, and from there the Lord scattered them across the face of the entire earth.)

      The words, (Babel and Babylon) mean confuse or confusion. God has much more to say about Babylon, it’s leaders and their characteristics.  God began choosing a people for His own after the flood.

   From Noah’s oldest son (Shem’s descendants) came Abraham, who walked with God and God called him (friend.) Perpetual Promises were made to Abraham and his heirs that take us into Jesus’ millennial kingdom. Believers in Jesus are in fact Abraham’s heirs. (see Galatians 3:29)

  (Genesis 11:10-26; This is the account of Shem. (Who God primarily worked through.) Shem was 100 old when he became the father of Arphaxad, two years after the flood. (Skip to verse 26, unless the whole genealogy of Abraham is of interest.) (26) When Terah had lived 70 years, he became the father of Abram, Nahor, and Haran.)

   Though people had Noah’s record of the flood and God’s deliverance, the vast majority began to mentally and physically make gods to fit their fleshly imagination. However, God’s choosing a people for Himself, plan was unfolding; He made a new beginning based on His promises through His servant and friend Abraham. Abraham’s faith and life examples are for our learning. God has fulfilled His promises to Abraham, regarding his blood line heirs, (the Israelites) and is still fulfilling His promises regarding His spiritual heirs through Jesus and His New Covenant through Jesus, is our hope, faith and eternal life.

   Heavenly Father; thanks for Your calling, loving Your chosen first, revealing Yourself and giving desires to be obedient to Your will. Keep us on Your Potters wheel, shaping us as Your people. May this age be shortened and Your kingdom established soon, is our prayer in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

   It was written by Moses and the prophets in advance: (Jesus’ good news, “gospel” is that; “He’s the Messiah, Re-Creator, Creator, Sustainer, Mediator and coming King of Kings.” His promises perpetual and are sure. God the Father calls and gives us to Jesus for training in spiritual maturity. Followers of Jesus are predestined, called out sheep Jesus knows and they know Him. Saved for eternal life in this age is by predestination, mercy and grace.

  Followers of Jesus are called and begotten; otherwise we could boast of our choosing, works through intellect and thus be saved by works. Noah, Shem, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, each apostle and follower of Jesus were called and chosen.

   After Jesus’ millennial reign the world will see New Jerusalem and know its twelve gates are named for the twelve tribes of Israel and its twelve foundations for Jesus’ twelve apostles. Christians are built on the foundation of the prophets, apostles and Jesus the Corner Stone. Jesus’ apostle Paul explains to God’s church at Ephesus.

    (Eph 2:19-22; So then you, (gentiles) are no longer foreigners and non-citizens, but you are fellow citizens with the Saints and members of God’s household, (because you have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the Cornerstone. In Him the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.) Hallelujah!

   Consider Noah’s life, faith, length of service to God, his constructing the ark and witnessing to the world. It’s speculated, the Ark’s building took more than one hundred years. Imagine the ridicule of the populations. People likely came from miles and took news back about the constructions’ progress and Noah’s telling everyone why God had ordered it’s construction. (God’s holy word tells us that no one believed.) People had become wicked and God was not revealing Himself beyond Noah and family. (Similar, God is calling a few in this latter age.) Prophesies are clear, “as in the days of Noah, so it will be.” (The latter age is this time span since Jesus’ ascension.) The world at large doesn’t believe that God has a plan to save it, and make a chosen people priest and servants to Jesus. Bring peace and restore Israel to its former borders as promised Abraham. (See some of these prophecies at, (Isaiah 22:, 35: , 51: -53:, 65:. and Jeremiah 17:, 31:. and Amos 9:11-15) God’s ultimate plan is to lovingly destroy evil.)  (The Son of God’s blood sacrifice was planned from the beginning.)

    Sin against God couldn’t be remission any other way. (As far back as when Abel chose to obey by making an animal’s blood sacrifices to God as commanded, sacrifices looked forward to Jesus’ shed blood for remission of the world’s sins.) (Planning always included Noah, Shem, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Israel’s bondage, deliverance through Moses and saving God’s church, through promised faith in Jesus.) Jesus revealed Himself and His future deeds to Moses, having him tell Israel.

   (Deut 18:15-22; The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me “Moses” from among you – from your fellow Israelites; you must listen to Him. This accords with what happened at Horeb in the day of the assembly. You asked the Lord your God: “Please do not make us hear the voice of the Lord our God any more or see this great fire any more lest we die.” The Lord then said to me, “What they have said is good. I will raise up a prophet like you for them from among their fellow Israelites. I will put My words in His mouth and He will speak to them whatever I command. I will personally hold responsible anyone who then pays no attention to the words that prophet (Jesus) speaks in My name. “But if any prophet presumes to speak anything in My name that I have not authorized him to speak, or speaks in the name of other gods, that(prophet must die. Now if you say to yourselves, ‘How can we tell that a message is not from the Lord?’ whenever a prophet speaks in My name and the prediction is not fulfilled, then I have not spoken it; the prophet has presumed to speak it, so you need not fear him.’)

   Preparing the world for Jesus’ coming, God had Moses serve as His deliverer and prophet. Abraham too, was a prophet, through promises to him regarding Israel’s bondage to Egypt and their deliverance was fulfilled. Israel’s deliverance, their being made a great nation, their disobedience, scattering and Messiah Jesus’ coming, was prophesied through Abraham, Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Amos and David.

   It’s through Jesus that God’s chosen people have a New Covenant. God had Jeremiah foretell the unfolding. (Jer 31:31-34; Indeed, a time is coming, says the Lord, when I will make a New Covenant with the people of Israel and Judah. It will not be like the Old Covenant that I made with their ancestors when I delivered them from Egypt. For they violated that covenant, even though I was like a faithful husband to them, says the Lord. “But I will make a New Covenant with the whole nation of Israel after I plant them back in the land,” says the Lord. “I will put My law within them and write it on their hearts and minds. I will be their God and they will be My people.

  (Until God miraculously PUTS a love for His Way in people’s minds, people go the way that seems right to their inherited from Adam nature.) “People will no longer need to teach their neighbors and relatives to know Me. For all of them, from the least important to the most important, will know Me,” says the Lord.” “For I will forgive their sin and will no longer call to mind the wrong they have done.”) Hallelujah!

   God’s old Covenant was and is with His chosen predestined people. A set aside ‘sanctified’ people called to be God’s own. Abel was demonstrated first to be one of these, “he obediently sacrificed choice animals at the prescribed time.” Enoch the seventh from Adam was one of these according to JUDE. Noah ’a preacher of righteousness’ knew to whom he belonged and ‘in the nature of Jesus had no desire to usurp the will of God.’ It’s a New Covenant principle Paul was inspired to teach.

   (Phil 2:3-11; Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself. Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well. You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had, who though He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped, but emptied Himself by taking on the form of a slave, by looking like other men, and by sharing in human nature. He humbled Himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death – even death on a cross! As a result God exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow – in heaven and on earth and under the earth – and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.)   (Satan and followers want people deciding for themselves, rather than looking to their Creator “Jesus.”)

   From Adam to Jacob and now, ‘God’s called out people know to whom they belong.’ Set aside people know how to demonstrate their gifted nature with humility, by regarding life’s blood sacred and culling unclean foods. God’s first command to Noah after the flood was about shedding blood, taking another’s life blood, and blood shouldn’t be used for food. It’s an old and  New Covenant principle!

    Our Lord‘s brother ‘James’ said; (Acts 15:14-21; Simeon (Pete)’ has explained how God first concerned Himself to select from among the Gentiles a people for His name. The words of the prophets agree with this, as it is written, ‘After this I will return, and I will rebuild the fallen tent of David; I will rebuild its ruins and restore it, so that the rest of humanity may seek the Lord, namely, all the Gentiles I have called to be My own,’ says the Lord, who makes these things known from long ago. (Quote from Amos 9:11-12) (19) “Therefore I conclude that we should not cause extra difficulty for those among the Gentiles who are turning to God, but that we should write them a letter telling them to abstain from things defiled by idols and from sexual immorality and from what has been strangled and from blood. For, Moses has had those who proclaim him in every town from ancient times, because he is read aloud in the synagogues every Sabbath.)

   After the flood and after the Messiah’s coming, “new beginnings were established with God’s chosen people.” (Three basic nationalities are rooted in Noah’s three sons.) Through Shem came Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, (whose name was changed to Israel) then Moses, David and Jesus. (Before Moses, God chose and made Israel’s son, (Joseph) savior to Israel and a few Egyptians.) Before these God had made promises to Abraham regarding David’s linage ‘Jesus’ (the Son of God) who remitted sin as planned from the beginning.)

   God’s special New Covenant is with a chosen for His purpose people, “believing IN Jesus people” who He makes at ONE with Himself through the sacrifice of Jesus’ shed blood. The Lamb of God’s blood) Through God the Father’s calling, Jesus is revealed and the Holy Spirit is gifted. NOW BACK TO NOAH.

    (Gen 9:7-17; But as for you, “Noah” be fruitful and multiply; increase abundantly on the earth and multiply on it. (God said to Noah and his sons, “Look! I now confirm My covenant with you and your descendants after you and with every living creature that is with you, including the birds, the domestic animals, and every living creature of the earth with you, all those that came out of the ark with you – every living creature of the earth. I confirm My covenant with you: Never again will all living things be wiped out by the waters of a flood; never again will a flood destroy the earth.)

   (And God said, “This is the guarantee of the covenant I am making with you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all subsequent generations: I will place My rainbow in the clouds, and it will become a guarantee of the covenant between Me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, then I will remember My covenant with you and with all living creatures of all kinds. Never again will the waters become a flood and destroy all living things. When the rainbow is in the clouds, I will notice it and remember the perpetual covenant between God and all living creatures of all kinds that are on the earth.” So God said to Noah, “This is the guarantee of the covenant that I am confirming between Me and all living things that are on the earth.)

   Though we Believers haven’t seen God, “we love Him because He first loved us, because He is holy, righteous and keeps promises.” He is Creator, Sustainer, Life, our Mediator before God’s throne and soon coming King of Kings..

   (Genesis 9:18-22; The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. (Now, Ham was the father of Canaan.) These were the sons of Noah, and from them the whole earth was populated.

   Noah, a man of the soil, began to plant a vineyard. When he drank some of the wine, he got drunk and uncovered himself inside his tent. (Ham, the father of Canaan) saw his father’s nakedness and told his two brothers who were outside.) Ham was inside the tent with Noah, other two were outside. (Whether nakedness” is used metaphorically to convey weakness, or vulnerability is the question to many.

   At Deut 23:14; nakedness refers to excrement. (See Isaiah 47:3; Ezek 16:37; Lam 1:8 also). The following verse in Gen 9:23, indicates a visual observation, not a homosexual act is in view here. Ham saw Noah’s nakedness.)

   It is hard for modern people to appreciate why seeing another’s nakedness was an abomination to God, because nakedness is so prevalent today. In the patriarchal society, seeing another’s nakedness was a major offense. (See the account in Herodotus histories; 1.8-13, where a general saw the nakedness of his master’s wife, and one of the two had to be put to death.)

   Ham was not a little boy wandering into his father’s bedroom; he was over a hundred years old at the time

   (Gen 9:23-24; Shem and Japheth took the garment and placed it on their shoulders. Then they walked in backwards and covered up their father’s nakedness. Their faces were turned the other way so they did not see their father’s nakedness. When Noah awoke from his drunken stupor he learned what his youngest son had done to him.) The Hebrew verb “to do” carries only a general sense. To draw a conclusion that Ham did more than look on his father’s nakedness and tell his brothers is a stretch. YOU may want to skip to chapter 11, unless interested in genealogy.

   (Gen 9:25-28; So, Noah said, “Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves he will be to his brothers.” He also said, “Worthy of praise is the Lord, the God of Shem! (Seemingly Shem was the Lord God’s messenger equivalent with Noah.) May Canaan be the slave of Shem! May God enlarge Japheth’s territory and numbers! May he live in the tents of Shem and may Canaan be his slave!” After the flood Noah lived 350 years. The entire lifetime of Noah was 950 years, and then he died.) Seemingly, Noah recognized Shem’s respect for his Creator!

   People with inclination to be their own god, don’t understand God’s authority to make these prophetic statements through Noah. If you doubt Noah‘s prophecy, take an honest look at mankind’s own written history. The names of these descendants and their lands were recognized when God gave lands over to Israel and even later when Jesus gave revelations to His apostle John.

   Except for those God choose to reveal Himself, “all go the way of choice and practice what seemed right to their fleshly inherited from Adam nature.” (Interested in genealogy? See chapter 10: these are primarily the peoples whose lands God took and gave to the Israelites.

   Moses had an overview of prophesied genealogy records on through Jesus’ apostles time. Dr. Luke, who wrote “Luke and “Acts of the Apostles” shared Jesus’ genealogy. (See Luke 3:23-38)

   Moses was taught in Egyptian schools, but his parents shared his Hebrew linage. Jacob’s son ‘Joseph’ likely kept the writings of Abraham, Isaac and his dad’s ‘Jacob.’ Moses’ Genesis account is before these people groups were scattered so widely.

   Jesus had Paul explain, when they knew God they didn’t glorify Him so He gave them over to the desires of their hearts; (Rom 1:22-24; Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an image resembling mortal human beings or birds or four-footed animals or reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity, to dishonor their bodies among themselves.) So apparently this is why God began choosing a people for Himself, choosing to save Noah and family, a new beginning and covenant for humanity.

   The Lord God Jesus promised, I will never again curse the ground because of humankind, even though the inclination of their minds is evil from childhood on. I will never again destroy everything that lives, as I have just done. (Gen 8:22; While the earth continues to exist, planting time, harvest, cold, heat, summer, winter, day and night will not cease.) (People can do nothing to hinder God’s planning.)

   That promise was made about 4,000 years ago. The same Lord God Jesus came in the linage of David as prophesied, ‘fathered by God the Father in the womb of a virgin named Mary, called twelve apostles and started His church.’ His spirit, ‘The Holy Spirit’ will make the church family One with Himself. Afterward, New Jerusalem comes down with its twelve foundations named for the twelve apostles of the Lamb.)

   When ask by the twelve about when He would come to rule, Jesus said; (Watch out that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will mislead many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. Make sure that you are not alarmed, for this must happen, but the end is still to come. For nation will rise up in arms against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these things are the beginning of birth pains. Matthew 24:4-8)

   (Matt 24:9-31; Then they will hand you over to be persecuted and will kill you. You will be hated by all the nations because of My name. Then many will be led into sin, and they will betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will appear and deceive many, and because lawlessness will increase so much, the love of many will grow cold. But the person who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end, (of the age) will come.

    So when you see the abomination of desolation spoken about by Daniel the prophet – standing in the holy place (let the reader understand) then those in Judea must flee to the mountains.(Referring specifically to the Antichrist’s appearing during the period of the great tribulation at the end of the age (See Mark 13:14, 19, 24; & Rev 3:10) The one on the roof must not come down to take anything out of his house, and the one in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing their babies in those days! Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. For then there will be great suffering unlike anything that has happened from the beginning of the world until now, or ever will happen. And if those days had not been cut short, no one would be saved. But for the sake of the Elect those days will be cut short. Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe him. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the Elect. Remember, I have told you ahead of time. So then, if someone says to you, ‘Look, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe him. For just like the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so the coming of the Son of Man will be. Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.

    Immediately after the suffering of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven and the powers of heaven will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man arriving on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a loud trumpet blast, and they will gather His Elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.) (Always study the whole.)

   NOW; Noah’s three sons represent the three main ethnicities on earth, and God’s plan to increase His family was and is on schedule.

    God’s next beginning was with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Changing Jacob’s name to Israel, ‘meaning God fights.’ Israel’s history is documented for our learning, revealed to Jesus’ apostle Paul who shares; (Rom 15:4-6; For everything that was written in former times was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and encouragement of the scriptures we may have hope. Now may the God of endurance and comfort give you unity with one another in accordance with Christ Jesus, so that together you ’Believers’ may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.)

   As God knew, Israel didn’t keep their covenant promises so wert scattered as promised, ‘but they’ll be redeemed as promised.’ It seems too after Jesus’ ascension, “the time of the gentiles commenced.  

    God began revealing Himself to non-Israelites. Peter was called to Cornelius’ home and his whole family was gifted with God’s spirit. Shortly afterward Paul and Barnabas were called back from their mission, to Jerusalem to explain their ‘gentile’ experience to God’s church. Our Lord’s brother “James” had become a leader in the Jerusalem church.

   (Acts 15:12-21; The whole group kept quiet and listened to Barnabas and Paul while they explained all the miraculous signs and wonders God had done among the Gentiles through them. After they stopped speaking, James replied, “Brothers, listen to me. Simeon (Peter) has explained how God first concerned Himself to select from among the Gentiles a people for His name. The words of the prophets agree with this, as it is written, ‘After this I will return, and I will rebuild the fallen tent of David; I will rebuild its ruins and restore it, so that the rest of humanity may seek the Lord, namely, all the Gentiles I have called to be My own,’ says the Lord, who makes these things known from long ago.)

    (To be my own? indicates God’s ownership of all the Gentiles who believe. (A quotation from Amos 9:11-12.)James demonstrated a high degree of cultural sensitivity when he cited a version of the text (the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Old Testament) that Gentiles would use.

   It’s reasonable to conclude; (non-Israelite would grow spiritually and refrain from meats God made unclean. Some animals are made to clean the land and feed on one another, others aren’t. When God set the Israelites apart for His own, He gave clear instruction regarding the characteristics of the clean animals they were to use for food. (See Deuteronomy 14)

   The sin nature we all inherited from Adam has a self serving agenda, every child is born with it, and needs training. (When God’s people turned to other gods after covenanting with their Creator, He referred to them as spiritual adulterers, as are people who broke their marriage covenant.) God’s new covenant is with Himself and a people He calls and gifts to believe in Himself and Jesus. (These are His church, His Elect.) As prophesied these would be hindered by Satan in their fleshly nature.

   Leaders and teachers desiring to make merchandise of God’s called were destined to interfere. Peter, Paul, John, Jude and James all witnessed the apostate that began shaping the thinking of people who had earlier professed a belief in Jesus. The pleasures of sin, a love of Satan’s worldwide system of things began to hinder true worship.

   (James 4:1-4: You adulterers and adulteresses, know you not that the friendship of the world is ENMITY with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.) You’d think professing Christians would investigate traditions they practice, but Jesus told us why they do not.

  (Luke 6:46-49; Why call you Me, Lord, Lord, and DO NOT the things which I say? Whosoever comes to Me, and hears (understands) My sayings, and DOES them, I will show you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and dug deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.) Paul was commissioned to continue Jesus’ message.

   (Ephesians 2:11-22; Therefore remember that formerly you, (Gentiles in the flesh) who are called (uncircumcised) by the so-called “circumcision” that is performed on the body by human hands that you were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, the One who made both groups into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility, when He nullified in His flesh the law of commandments in decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of two, thus making peace, and to reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which the hostility has been killed. And He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near, so that through Him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer foreigners and non-citizens, but you are fellow citizens with the Saints and members of God’s household, because you have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the Cornerstone.    The same “Son of God Jesus” communed with Noah and Abraham, planned to come in human flesh and shed His blood for the remission of the sins of the world. From the time of Adam, Jesus knew He would ultimately destroy the deceiver, (Satan) and set up His Kingdom on earth.

    Individuals have a new covenant with God when He reveals one’s sin nature, gifts a desire and effort to repent - turn. (Phil 2:12-13; So then, my dear friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence but even more in my absence, continue working out your salvation with awe and reverence, for the One bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort — for the sake of His good pleasure - is God.) God’s calling makes individuals repentant - remorseful for previously living according to what seemed right to the fleshly mind, ‘then reveals His way through, Savior Jesus, who is also Creator, Deliverer and the Mediator, who purposely became the sacrificial Lamb of God to remit sins. God the Father dose the calling, and gives each over to Jesus. Review John 12:46-47, 14:17-27 & we’ll see Jesus prayer for the called at John 17:9-27. (God made a covenant with Noah and all living.)     

    Gen 7:6-11; “Noah was 600 years old when the floodwaters engulfed the earth. Noah entered the ark along with his sons, his wife and his sons’ wives because of the floodwaters. Pairs of clean animals, of unclean animals, of birds, and of everything that creeps along the ground, male and female, came into the ark to Noah, just as God had commanded him. And after seven days the floodwaters engulfed the earth. In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month – on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst open and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.) God’s calendar was intact, Noah and Moses knew the seasons.

    (Gen 7:12-24; And the rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights. On that very day Noah entered the ark, accompanied by his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, along with his wife and his sons’ three wives. They entered, along with every living creature after its kind, every animal after its kind, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, everything with wings. Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life came into the ark to Noah. Those that entered were male and female, just as God commanded him. Then the Lord shut him in. The flood engulfed the earth for forty days. As the waters increased, they lifted the ark and raised it above the earth. The waters completely overwhelmed the earth and the ark floated on the surface of the waters. The waters completely inundated the earth so that even all the high mountains under the entire sky were covered. The waters rose more than twenty feet above the mountains. And all living things that moved on the earth died, including the birds, domestic animals, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all humankind. Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. So the Lord destroyed every living thing that was on the surface of the ground, including people, animals, creatures that creep along the ground, and birds of the sky. They were wiped off the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark survived. The waters prevailed over the earth for 150 days.)

    Long before God gave the sanctified Israelites His rule regarding clean and unclean foods; Noah and other were privileged with the knowledge.

    Proponents of false science have sold educators and students against the God of creation. Denying there was ever this flood and the validity of Moses’ writings. Christendom demonstrates the same doubt. Jesus clearly drew a line of separation between those His Father gives Him and the populations at large.

    (John 17:9-16; I pray for them: I pray NOT for the world, but for them which You have given Me; for they are Yours, and all Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your own name those whom You have given Me, that they may BE ONE, as We are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name: those that You gave Me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. And now come I to You; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have My joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them Your Word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.)

    He wasn’t praying for unbelieving Christendom practicing Baal traditions. These don’t understand; (the same Lord that caused this earth to flood, came and died for the sins of it.) His plan for saving His people stretch into His millennial kingdom. His Holy Annual Sabbaths foreshadows it. Jesus will return, graves will open followers of Jesus will be resurrected. Alive Saints will then meet the resurrected in the air. It’s Jesus’ promise to His Elect.

   It’s ludicrous to debate creation, earth’s age or God’s characteristics with those to whom God hasn’t revealed Himself. From fleshly minds, people are led to think and do, (what seems right intellectually.) Unbeliever’s bask in, (I am my own person) (I’ll choose what’s right for me and mine) thus making selves little gods. Holy Scriptures reveal, (God is Creator and the source of all true knowledge.)

   Spiritual revelation doesn’t hinge on physical science, intellect or fleshly education. God’s revelations only makes one a Believing (Christian) through gifted knowing faith.

      The genesis lesson for all people is: when God allows us go the way that seems right, the majority digresses to fleshly animalistic behavior and make gods fit imaginations. Wickedness increases, genuine love evaporated, people become clannish and demonic. When God doesn’t intervene: appoint righteous leaders, Satan influences. (From Adam to Noah, all except those God revealed Himself to lived self serving lives.) The big question? Can humankind be altruistic, and love one another apart from God’s law? NO, only by God gifted love can people love outside ‘me, mine and ours.’ Do people naturally believe in God as did Noah? NO, It’s New Covenant teaching as well. Jesus had Paul explain.

   (Romans 1:1-7; From Paul, a slave of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God. This gospel He promised beforehand through His prophets in the Holy Scriptures, concerning His Son who was a descendant of David with reference to the flesh, who was appointed the Son-of-God-in-power according to the Holy Spirit by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord. Through Him we have received grace and our apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles on behalf of His name. You also are among them, called to belong to Jesus Christ. To all those loved by God in Rome, called to be Saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!) (New Covenant lesson is; except God reveal Himself and Jesus, all people live according to the flesh.)

   Satan’s influence on fleshly nature didn’t stop after Jesus’ resurrection. Jesus’ apostle Paul shared; (Gal 1:6-10; I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the One who called you by the grace of Christ and are following a different gospel, (not that there really is another gospel, but there are some who are disturbing you and wanting to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.) As we have said before, and now I say again, if any is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be accursed. Am I now trying to gain the approval of people, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ!) (The same is expressed by Peter. See 1Pet 5:8-11)

   Jesus is the Lord God who re-created earth, created Adam and destroyed wickedness in Noah’s day; came in the flesh, demonstrated His deeds and died for the remission of the world’s sins.

It was a new beginning.

    (Gen 8:1-5; God remembered Noah, the wild and domestic animals that were with him in the ark. God caused a wind to blow over the earth and the waters receded. The fountains of the deep and the floodgates of heaven were closed, and the rain stopped falling from the sky. The waters kept receding steadily from the earth, so that they had gone down by the end of the 150 days. On the seventeenth day of the seventh months, (5 month later) the ark came to rest on one of the mountains of Ararat. The waters kept on receding until the tenth month. On the first day of the tenth month, the tops of the mountains became visible.) (7 months less 17 days until top of mountains were visible.)

    Believers know through faith; the Lord God, that caused the winds to blow and rain to cease, (calls individuals and reveals Himself to His chosen in this age. AND the multitudes are still taught in parables and He can still calm the seas. (Review John 1:1-5 and Colossians 1:15-20 and Hebrews 1: again)

   The many read about Jesus creating aged wine from water, healing lepers, casting out demons, resurrecting the dead and giving His apostles like authority, without connecting to the fact that the same Jesus destroyed with a flood. (To worship in spirit and truth, we must know this.)

   (Gen 8:6-14; At the end of forty days, Noah opened the window he had made in the ark and sent out a raven; it kept flying back and forth until the waters had dried up on the earth. Then Noah sent out a dove to see if the waters had receded from the surface of the ground. The dove could not find a resting place for its feet because water still covered the surface of the entire earth, and so it returned to Noah in the ark. He stretched out his hand, took the dove, and brought it back into the ark. He waited seven more days and then sent out the dove again from the ark. When the dove returned to him in the evening, there was a freshly plucked olive leaf in its beak! Noah knew that the waters had receded from the earth. He waited another seven days and sent the dove out again, but it did not return to him this time. (Now we’re looking at Nisan 1.)

   In Noah’s six hundred and first year, in the first day of the first month, the waters had dried up from the earth, and Noah removed the covering from the ark and saw that the surface of the ground was dry. And by the twenty-seventh day of the second month the earth was dry.)

    Noah knew God’s calendar. Noah believed God as did Abraham and all believed today. So, what keeps the majority from believing IN God? Satan. He’s allowed to be the god of this age until a set time. We inherited a nature that dominates until God chooses to reveal Himself and gives a new one.

  We looked at words meaning ‘all knowing’ ‘all powerful’ etc. that identify God and His characteristics last study, remember too, God’s creation law of ‘kind after kind’, when considering the bad behavior before the Noah day flood. (Genesis 6:4-8; The Nephilim were on the earth in those days (and also after this) when the sons of God were having sexual relations with the daughters of humankind, who gave birth to their children. They were the mighty heroes of old, the famous men. But the Lord saw that the wickedness of humankind had become great on the earth. Every inclination of the thoughts of their minds was only evil all the time. The Lord regretted that He had made humankind on the earth, and He was highly offended. So the Lord said, “I will wipe humankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth – everything from humankind to animals, including creatures that move on the ground and birds of the air, for I regret that I have made them. “But Noah found favor in the sight of the Lord.”)

    (NEPHILIM? The Hebrew word נְפִילִים (nÿfilim) is transliterated here, because the meaning of the term is uncertain. According to the text, the Nephilim became mighty warriors and gained great fame in the antediluvian (Prior flood) world. The text may imply they were the offspring of the sexual union of the “sons of God” and the “daughters of humankind” (v. 2), but it stops short of saying this in a direct manner. The Nephilim are mentioned in the old testament only here and in Num 13:33, where it is stated that they were giants here. See KJV, TEV, & NLT)

   The narrator observes that the Anakites of Canaan were descendants of the Nephilim. Certainly these later Anakite Nephilim could not be descendants of the antediluvian (Prior flood) Nephilim. (See also the following note on the word “this”). This observation is parenthetical, explaining that there were Nephilim even after the flood. If all humankind, with the exception of Noah and his family, died in the flood, it is difficult to understand how the postdiluvian Nephilim could be related to the antediluvian Nephilim or how the Anakites of Canaan could be their descendants. (See Num 13:33)

      Perhaps the term Nephilim refers generally to human giants, (See HALOT 709 s.v. נְפִילִים) without implying any ethnic connection between the antediluvian and postdiluvian varieties.) Even in David’s time there were very large men called giants. (See 2 Samuel 21)

    (Gen 6:9-21; This is the account of Noah. Noah was a godly man; he was blameless among his contemporaries. He walked with God. Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The earth was ruined in the sight of God; the earth was filled with violence. God saw the earth, and indeed it was ruined, for all living creatures on the earth were sinful. So God said to Noah, “I have decided that all living creatures must die, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. Now I am about to destroy them and the earth. Make for yourself an ark of cypress wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it with pitch inside and out. This is how you should make it: The ark is to be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high. Make a roof for the ark and finish it, leaving 18 inches from the top. Put a door in the side of the ark, and make lower, middle, and upper decks. I am about to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy from under the sky all the living creatures that have the breath of life in them. Everything that is on the earth will die, but I will confirm My covenant with you.

    You will enter the ark – you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. You must bring into the ark two of every kind of living creature from all flesh, male and female, to keep them alive with you. Of the birds after their kinds, and of the cattle after their kinds, and of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every kind will come to you so you can keep them alive. And you must take for yourself every kind of food that is eaten, and gather it together. It will be food for you and for them. And Noah did all that God commanded him – he did indeed.) Note; God caused the animals to come to Noah!

    The same Lord that caused the animals to come to Noah, is the same Jesus that (God the Father) caused Mary to miraculously conceive. The same promised to return at a time when things on earth will be much as they were before the flood and likened to Sodom and Gomorra.

     We all inherited Adam’s, lawless in God’s view nature at birth. We all want our view respected. If God doesn’t reveal Himself as He did to Noah, Moses, David and Abraham, all people remain in a lawless state of being. Nations will keep warring and people will keep digressing to animistic life styles. Seeking to know the God of Creation is practically forgotten, but God hasn’t forgotten His covenants. All but God’s Elect are deceived. (The same Lord God who communed with Noah had Matthew record.

   (Matt 24:36-39; But as for that day and hour no one knows it – not even the angels in heaven – except the Father alone. For, just like the days of Noah were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be. For in those days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark. And they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away. It will be the same at the coming of the Son of Man.) (From Adam to the Noah day flood was less than 2,000 years, likely about 1800.)

   When we’re led by the Holy Spirit we’re mindful of know God’s law of ‘kind after kind.’ We know demonic spirits are allowed to transform themselves to physical forms, but they can’t reproduce, except possibly in hybrid sorts. Be careful of translations, translators do have agendas. Dinosaurs were on earth before Jesus’ re-creation of earth and His creating Adam in His own likeness.

    The holy scriptures tell us of the time when Satan and followers rebelled. He was one of brightest angelic beings until wickedness overcame him. He wanted things his way and to occupy his own throne. Jesus reveals the result of his demonic rebellion to John and all Believers.

   (Revelations 12:7-9; Then war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels fought back. But the dragon was not strong enough to prevail, so there was no longer any place left in heaven for him and his angels. So that huge dragon – the ancient serpent, the one called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world – was thrown down to the earth and his angels along with him.)

    Satan wants people thinking as he did and use our God gifted creative intellect to decide for self, what’s, right, wrong, good and evil. Review Gen 3. Demonic beings know God is ultimately going to destroy them. (Study Revelations 12, for this study’s purpose see verses 10-12.

    (Then I ‘John’ heard a loud voice in heaven saying, “The salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the ruling authority of His Christ, have now come, because the accuser of our brothers and sisters, the one who accuses them day and night before our God, has been thrown down. But they “the believers’ overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die. Therefore you heavens rejoice, and all who reside in them! But woe to the earth and the sea because the devil has come down to you! He is filled with terrible anger, for he knows that he only has a little time!)

     Realize God has a purpose for Satan, and people who’re led to overcome the inherited nature and demonic deceptions are God’s Elect. Jesus gives power to overcome demonic forces. He sent 72 followers on what we’d call a missionary journey.

    (Luke 10:17-20; Then the seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name!” So Jesus said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Look, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, on the full force of the enemy and nothing will hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names stand written in heaven.) (Believers IN Jesus are gifted to love His Way, something to rejoice about. Other talents and powers are nothing to boast about.) (Back to “giants in those days.” Satan and his are evil and have great influence on people, particularly ones trusting their own intellect. Many are inspired to do every imaginable evil, “including human breeding for purposes likened to animal breeding.” Enslaving people for work and war has been done since before and after the flood.

    (Gen 7:1-5; The Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, for I consider you godly among this generation. You must take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, the male and its mate, two of every kind of unclean animal, the male and its mate and also seven of every kind of bird in the sky, male and female, to preserve their offspring on the face of the earth. For in seven days I will cause it to rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the ground every living thing that I have made.” And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him.) Note the stipulation between clean and unclean and their number.

    Noah was a preacher of righteousness, may have been about the business of building the ark a hundred years or more. It’s logical to assume, Noah was asked, why this construction? Assume that the people were told, God is going to destroy wickedness, but people didn’t believe. As now wickedness is going to be destroyed, but people don’t believe, their bad practices are Holy Scripture fulfillments. Long before Jesus’ physical life He inspired Jeremiah.

  (Jeremiah 9:2-5; Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave My people and go from them! for they are all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men. And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies: but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth; for they proceed from evil to evil, and they know not Me, says the LORD. (Remember Jesus saying the same words to the hostiles? “You don’t know Me nor My Father.)Take you HEED every one of his neighbor, and trust YOU NOT in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant and every neighbor will walk with slanders. And they will deceive every one his neighbor and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity.) (See Romans 3:4)

    In this latter age, “even with proofs of Jesus’ life and teachings” this world’s populations still prefer Baal to God’s Way.

   (Jer 9:13-16; The LORD said, “Because they have forsaken My law which I set before them and have not obeyed My voice, neither walked therein; but have walked after the imagination of their OWN heart and after Baal, which their fathers taught them:” Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; “Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood and give them water of gall to drink. I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a sword after them, till I have consumed them.)

    God’s Church too is scattered throughout demonic cultures around the world! This professing Christian AGE, isn’t taught, it’s sin to walk after the imagination of one’s own heart. or to follow after the ways of the Canaanites, who worshiped Baal, the Semitic god of fertility or nature. People professing to follow Jesus Christ are not taught to consider their traditional trappings, inherited from Baal worship. Among those: “Easter, Christmas and Halloween traditions, are directly from that false way! (In this intellectual age, educators and religious leaders boast many things, but they do not know our Creator.)

    (Jer 9:23-24; Thus says the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glories, glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD which exercise loving kindness, judgment and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, says the LORD.)

    Review who has the privilege of knowing Him? and why parables? Believers cannot boast, can only boast from the point of view, that God loves and showed His loving kindness, gifted understanding and loved us before we loved Him. It’s clear to the called and answers the question, why many religions in the world?  May our Creator give each a yearning for His Kingdom and a love for His Way.

    Allow a layman’s understanding of our awesome Re-creator, Creator, Deliverer, Savior, Mediator and coming King of Kings,   starting with, ‘what’s in a name.’ In English God’s name can be pounced Jehovah or Elohim; (but to worship in spirit and truth, we must think of Him as the ALMIGHTY, ‘all knowing, all powerful, ability to create from nothing, and Sustainer of His universe.) When He’s truly know this way there’s no room for thinking, ‘to control weather, for multiple denominations, fear, image worship, or consider for one’s self, what’s right, wrong, good and evil.’ (This God is Sustainer of His universe, He’s the only head of His Church.) (More sophisticate may find Webster’s definition more to their liking.)

   (God is ‘Omniscient’ all knowing, and ‘Omnipotent’ unlimited power.)

    Believers in Jesus are gifted to understand they’re ‘Omniscience’, having qualities of God, gifted with the Holy Spirit’, ‘born from above’, with power to overcome to the end through Jesus’ faith.  

   Seemingly we’ll be given new names, God changed Jacob’s name to Israel, meaning ‘God fights or fights for’ and changed ‘Simon’ to Peter, meaning ‘little rock or pebble.’ (See Isa 66:2)            

   A Christians has covenant promises as does Israel, unlike Israel ‘Christ like folks’ are ‘born from above’ meaning, ‘recipients of Jesus’ spirit’, thus view God’s law in their spiritual intent. Two examples: at Matt 5:32 Jesus says; (I say to you that looking at a woman to desire her you’ve already committed adultery with her in his heart.) And Paul wrote at Rom 7:7; (What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Absolutely not! Certainly, I would not have known sin except through the law, what it means to desire something belonging to someone else if the law had not said, Do not covet.)

  Jesus also taught through Paul; ‘we aren’t under the law if Jesus’ spirit is in us, because the law in ingrained in our God gifted spirit.’ (Rom 8:8-11; Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, this person does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is your life because of righteousness. Moreover if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, the one who raised Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies alive through his Spirit who lives in you.)

  We shared how Christians should examine themselves in Jesus light when observing the Passover at, (1Cor 11:17-35. Concluding that when examination isn’t done is the reason many are weak, sick & quit a few dead. If we examine ourselves we’d not be judged.) The spiritual intent in this text too is; ‘examine in Jesus’ Light all His commands.’ Jesus made it more clear through John.

   (John 12:47-50; If anyone hears My words and does not obey them, I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world. The one who rejects Me and does not accept My words has a judge; the word I have spoken will judge him at the last day. For, I have not spoken from My own authority, but the Father Himself who sent Me has commanded Me what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His commandment is eternal life. Thus the things I say, I say just as the Father has told me.)

    See how the old covenant relates to the new.

   Being right in God’s view is all that matters! (Gen :6-7; Then the Lord said to Cain “Why are you angry, and why is your expression downcast? Is it not true that if you do what is right, you will be fine? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at the door? It (sin) desires to dominate you, but you must subdue it.)

   It’s the same with believers IN Jesus. If we do what’s right we’re fine; if not, lawlessness dominates. Through God’s gifted Holy Spirit we Christians have powers to subdue sins power. Cain didn’t have the Holy Spirit.

   God’s New Covenant’s coming was written about by Enoch, ‘Cain’s son.’ Another through Seth; he walked with God 300 years before God took him so that he’d not see death. Now Genesis 4:18-24, is about the linage of Adam through Lemech.

   (Gen 4:25-26; And Adam had marital relations with his wife again, and she gave birth to a son. She named him Seth, saying, “God has given me another child in place of Abel because Cain killed him.” And a son was also born to Seth, whom he named Enoch. At that time people began to worship the Lord.) Enoch, walked with God according to Hebrews and Jude.

   (Gen 5:1-31; This is the record of the family line of Adam. When God created humankind, he made them in the likeness of God. He created them male and female; when they were created, He blessed them and named them ‘humankind.’ When Adam had lived 130 years he fathered a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and he named him Seth. The length of time Adam lived after he became the father of Seth was 800 years; during this time he had other sons and daughters. The entire lifetime of Adam was 930 years, and then he died.”) When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father of Enoch. Seth lived 807 years after he became the father of Enoch, and he had other sons and daughters. The entire lifetime of Seth was 912 years, and then he died. When Enoch had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan. Enoch lived 815 years after he became the father of Kenan, and he had other sons and daughters. The entire lifetime of Enosh was 905 years, and then he died. When Kenan had lived 70 years, he became the father of Mahalalel. Kenan lived 840 years after he became the father of Mahalalel, and he had other sons and daughters.

   The entire lifetime of Kenan was 910 years, and then he died. When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared. Mahalalel lived 830 years after he became the father of Jared, and he had other sons and daughters. The entire lifetime of Mahalalel was 895 years, and then he died. When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch. Jared lived 800 years after he became the father of Enoch, and he had other sons and daughters. The entire lifetime of Jared was 962 years, and then he died.

    When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God for 300 years, and he had other sons and daughters. The entire lifetime of Enoch was 365 years. Enoch walked with God, and then he disappeared because God took him away. When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech. Methuselah lived 782 years after he became the father of Lamech, and he had other sons and daughters. The entire lifetime of Methuselah was 969 years, and then he died.

    When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son. He named him Noah, saying, “This one will bring us comfort from our labor and from the painful toil of our hands because of the ground that the Lord has cursed.” Lamech lived 595 years after he became the father of Noah, and he had other sons and daughters. The entire lifetime of Lamech was 777 years, and then he died.

The rest of humanity are pro-created through Noah and sons.

    (Gen 5:32; After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Nationalities on earth spring from these three. God’s creating a part of Himself in Adam resulted in creative talents being gifted to all pre-created. Creation is proven to believers IN, and evolution disproven.

   Noah’s brothers and sisters followed the way of Cain, ‘doing what seemed right.’ Obviously his siblings didn’t believe IN God as Noah did.

   (Gen 6:1-4; When humankind began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humankind were beautiful. Thus they took wives for themselves from any they chose. So the Lord said, “My spirit will not remain in humankind indefinitely, since they are mortal. They will remain for 120 more years.) Average life span was set.

   Demonic power is still a mystery to the world. Holy Scripture teach us that God is allowing Satan to have power over nations and many people until an allotted time. (The Hebrew phrase translated (sons of God) is (bÿne-ha’elohim) only occurs here at Gen 6:2-4, and Job 1:6; 2:1; & 38:7. There are three major interpretations of the phrase.

   (1) In the Book of Job the phrase clearly refers to angelic beings. In Gen 6, (sons of God) are distinct from (humankind) suggesting they could be demon processed human, consistent with the use of the phrase in Job. (Since the passage speaks of these beings cohabiting with women, they must have taken physical form or perhaps possessed the bodies of men.) Remember Jesus cast demons out of people. An early Jewish tradition preserved in (1En 6-7) elaborates on an angelic revolt and even names the ringleaders.

   (2) Not all scholars accept the angelic interpretation of the (sons of God), however, some argue that, (sons of God) were members of Seth’s line, traced back through Adam in Gen 5, while the (daughters of humankind) were descendants of Cain. But, as noted above, the text distinguishes, (sons of God) from humankind (which would include the (Sethites) as well as the (Cainites) suggesting that the (daughters of humankind) are human women in general, not just Cainites.

    (3) Others identify, (sons of God) as powerful tyrants, perhaps demon-possessed, who viewed themselves as divine “as Satan desired to do” and, following the example of Lamech (see Gen 4:19), practiced polygamy. But usage of the phrase (sons of God) in Job argues against this view. For literature on the subject see ‘G. J. Wenham, Genesis (WBC), 1:135.

    Remember Satan was able to tempt Jesus? Consider how demonism flourished among the non-Israelite nations during Moses’ time. Consider that Satan desires to be worshiped. Demonism was so widely practiced among non-Israelites when God had Moses address the subject for His people.

    (Deut 18:9-14; When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, you must not learn the abhorrent practices of those nations. There must never be found among you anyone who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, anyone who practices divination, an omen reader, a soothsayer, a sorcerer, one who casts spells, one who conjures up spirits, a practitioner of the occult, or a necromancer. Whoever does these things is abhorrent to the Lord and because of these detestable things the Lord your God is about to drive them out from before you. You must be blameless before the Lord your God. Those nations that you are about to dispossess listen to omen readers and diviners, but the Lord your God has not given you permission to do such things.) Satan and his are yet to do miraculous things to deceive if possible, even the Saints.

   It isn’t recommended that we shove God’s truth on family; God knows each person better than we do. When truth is revealed, one either follows, comes out from the world mentally and spiritually as did Abraham, or loves the world’s system more than truth. (Jesus had Peter tell us why: (2Pet 2:21; For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than, known it, to turn back from the holy commandment that had been delivered to them.) When truth is revealed, we need to count the cost and pray for perseverance to follow to its end. We can’t convert, we can only prayerfully share.       

   See the fleshly thinking in Eve’s comment regarding Cain? She’s thinking “In dying you won’t surely die.” When Cain became an adult, it appears he may have thought like Eve.

    (Gen 4:2-5; Then she gave birth to his brother Abel. Abel took care of the flocks, while Cain cultivated the ground. At the (God) designated time Cain brought some of the fruit of the ground for an offering to the Lord. But Abel brought some of the firstborn of his flock – even the fattest of them. And the Lord was pleased with Abel and his offering, but with Cain and his offering He was not pleased. So Cain became very angry, and his expression was downcast.) About 2,500 years later, when the Lord God Jesus gave instruction to Moses regarding offerings and sacrifices, there we find God’s designated times and superior firstborn of the animals prioritized offerings. Blood sacrifices looked forward to Jesus’ own.  

   Designated times strongly suggest, God’s sharing His calendar seasons with Adam’s family. (Abel showed respect to his Creator’s will, while Cain’s response was from thinking, “surely this other way will be okay with God, because it ‘seems right to me.’ Is this not how unbelievers think? and worldly religions get started?)

   (Gen 4:6-7; Then the Lord said to Cain, Why are you angry, and why is your expression downcast? Is it not true that if you do what is right, you will be fine? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at the door? It “sin” desires to dominate you, but you must subdue it.) (So Cain knew.)

    Who has the wit to recognize that sin tries to dominate? God defines lawlessness as “sin.” (See 1 John 3:4) Since, Adam and Eve disobeyed all humankind inherited their nature through pro-creation, “so all are born with the same sin nature.” Lawlessness dominates until God chooses to open an individuals’ mind and reveal Himself. (Now we see demonic jealously taking root.)

   (Gen 4:8-16; Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. (God’s reminding Cain that he must overcome sin didn’t help.) Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?” And he replied, “I don’t know! Am I my brother’s guardian?” But the Lord said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood is crying out to Me from the ground! So now, you are banished from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. When you try to cultivate the ground it will no longer yield its best for you. You will be a homeless wand over on the earth. Then Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is too great to endure!

   Look! You are driving me off the land today, and I must hide from your presence. I will be a homeless wanderer on the earth; whoever finds me will kill me.” But the Lord said to him, “All right then, if anyone kills Cain, Cain will be avenged seven times as much.” Then the Lord put a special mark on Cain so that no one who found him would strike him down. So Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.)

   It’s foolish to speculate about the mark however likely his descendents inherited it too. About 3,000 years later the Hebrews writer speaks of these two brothers’ sacrifices and the fact that Abel’s faith still speaks today.

   (Hebrews 11:3-4; By faith we understand that the worlds were set in order at God’s command, so that the visible has its origin in the invisible. By faith Abel offered God a greater sacrifice than Cain, and through his faith he was commended as righteous, because God commended him for his offerings. And through his faith he still speaks, though he is dead.)

    See the parallels between Genesis and our New Covenant here. Both acknowledge that God doesn’t change. Believers IN Jesus are called to turn to His Way, in loving respect. Jesus’ apostle Paul explained.

   (Galatians 5:13-18; For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity to indulge your flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law can be summed up in a single commandment, namely, “You must love your neighbor as yourself.” However, if you continually bite and devour one another, beware that you are not consumed by one another. But I say, live by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh. For the flesh has desires that are opposed to the Spirit, and the Spirit has desires that are opposed to the flesh, for these are in opposition to each other, so that you cannot do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.)

    Why? How so? When led by the spirit we understand the goodness of the law and His law is spiritually imputed to our minds; “we don’t need to be told not to murder!” People who aren’t led by the spirit are unbelievers as was Cain. Abel’s faith yet speaks to Believers individually, so we are either fleshly or spiritually led. (Since Adam’s disobedience, all inherit works of the flesh potentiality: works that societies make laws against. 

   (Gal 5:19-21; Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, depravity, idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish rivalries, dissensions, factions, envying, murder, drunkenness, carousing, and similar things. I am warning you, as I had warned you before: Those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God!)

  WHAT will those who are called and practice Jesus’ righteous Way inherit? and how about those who remain fleshly?

  (Revelations 21:7-8; The one who conquers (overcomes fleshly desires by believing IN Jesus’ sacrifice for the remission of sin) will inherit these things and I will be his God and he will be My son. But to the cowards, unbelievers, detestable persons, murderers, the sexually immoral, and those who practice magic spells, idol worshipers, and all those who lie, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. That is the second death.)

   (Gal 5:22-26; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ have crucified “conquered - overcome” the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also behave in accordance with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, being jealous of one another.)

   When God calls individuals, He changes the internal focus, to one seeking His truth, pleasing Him, through His spirit He gives power to overcome desires of the flesh and love as He loves. Afterward we’re led to ponder, “why me Lord?” Why am I blessed to understand Your precious joyful truths? Jesus’ parable about finding treasure fits our subject.

   (Matthew 13:44-46; The kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man has found, he hides, and for JOY thereof, goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field. Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.)

   Truth is a precious treasure; a pearl of great price. Truth is hid from the world at large, because of the hardness in mankind’s inherited nature. Our inherited from Adam nature loves the pleasures of a sinful life.

   Earlier in our studies, we read about Moses when he was called out; how he chose to follow God, rather than to enjoy the sinful pleasures of Egypt, for a season. Likewise called out individuals in each age, are led to consider the same type choices as did Moses. Had God not called and revealed Himself, Moses would have likely became Egypt’s ruler.

   Jesus explained to His followers that their understanding was gifted, “spiritually revealed” and that He knows His Sheep & they know Him. Then and now, it’s the many that don’t recognize Him as He’s manifested to be at John 1:1-5 and Col 1:15-20.

   Explaining that He spoke to the multitudes in parables so they’d not understand. We that do understand know it isn’t from our intellect, even our desire is God gifted.

    (Matt 13:11-16; Jesus answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that he has. Therefore I speak to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which said, “By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.)

    People who aren’t gifted to LOVE Jesus are like Cain who thought more of his own view than God’s. People choosing to keep times designed to honor imaginary gods are likened to Cain and hinder their own understanding.

   Going along with worldly customs for popularity sake is to bury one’s head in sand. Followers of Jesus are gifted with desire, spiritual understanding that leads to a turning from the ways that seems right, “to the WAYS that are right in God‘s View.” Thus, God’s New Covenant is with a chosen people gifted with a desire to see from God‘s View. A people, ‘born from above’ and a ‘mystery to the world.’

   The same Lord God “Jesus that sent Cain away after murdering his brother, preplanned with God the Father, His own sacrifice for the remission of this world‘s sin. Only through Jesus is the gift of immortality. Through promises made to Abraham Believers IN are spiritual Israelites. Prior to Jesus’ death and resurrection, He was in Jerusalem observing the Feast of Tabernacle. On the eighth day of the feast “the Greatest Day” He stood and taught.

   (John 7:37-39; On the last day of the feast, the greatest day, Jesus stood up and shouted out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me, and let the one who believes IN Me drink. Just as the scripture says, ‘From within him will flow rivers of living water. (Now Jesus said this about the Spirit, whom those who believed IN Him were going to receive, for the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.)

    The experiences of all Adam’s descendents are written for our learning. (See Romans 15:4)

    (Genesis 4:17; Cain had marital relations with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain was building a city, and he named the city after his son Enoch.) Likely Cain married his sister or perhaps a niece. Through Adam and Eve God established nationalities, various blood lines with a multitude of talents.

   Passover is the next God set aside season for true worship. It begins on Friday April 15^th with 16^th & 22^nd annual Sabbaths concluding. It’s a time for examining one’s self in Jesus’ Light. Jesus had Paul write how Passover should be observed at 1Cor 11:17-35. Concluding with a warning: (For the one who eats and drinks without careful regard for the body eats and drinks judgment against himself. That is why many are weak and sick, and quite a few are dead. But if we examined ourselves, we would not be judged.

  Satan’s two lies “surely you won’t die and you will be divine” is believed by most of the world, “causing the world’s problems from Adam’s creation & through today.

   (Gen 3:14-19; “The Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, cursed are you above all the wild beasts and all the living creatures of the field! On your belly you will crawl and dust you will eat all the days of your life.”

     Jesus inspired His apostle Paul to explain Jesus’ immortality.

   (1Corinthians 15:16-23; For if the dead are not raised, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is useless; you are still in your sins. Furthermore, those who have fallen asleep in Christ have also perished. For, if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone. But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep in Christ. For since death came through a man, (Adam) the resurrection of the dead also came through a man (Jesus.) For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ, the firstfruits; then when Christ comes, those who belong to Him.)

   Immortality is only through being called to believe IN Jesus. (ALL will be made alive) each in his own order! The resurrections are God’s truth. Surely you won’t die and born with an immortal soul is Satan’s lie!

   (Genesis 3:20-22; Adam named his wife Eve, because she was the mother of all the living (people.) The Lord God made garments from skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them. And the Lord God said, “Now that the man has become like one of us, (knowing in his own mind, deciding for himself good and evil, he must not be allowed to stretch out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.)    

   People would take from the tree of life (Jesus) if possible, in their fleshly nature and decide for self, making them as little gods to themselves, which is idolatry.

   God created in Adam; the ability to choose, plan, create and love from within his created fleshly nature. God created and gifted Adam with His likeness, but Adam nor we, can choose or take eternal life. It’s only gifted through our Creator and Savior, Jesus.

    Jesus said; (John 3:7-8; Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must all be born from above.’ The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.)

To the gentiles Paul was inspired to teach.

   (Eph 2:1-10; And although you ‘gentiles’ were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you formerly lived, ‘practiced:’ according to this world’s present path, according to the ruler of the kingdom of the air ‘Satan’ the ruler of the spirit that is now energizing the sons of disobedience, among whom all of us ‘gentiles and Israelites’  also formerly lived “practiced” out our lives in the cravings of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and the mind and were by nature children of wrath even as the rest.)

   As did Adam, everyone practices the way that seems right to the fleshy mind, until God intervenes, opens the mind and give understanding. No one is able in and of themselves to choose salvation.

   (Eph 4-10; But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even though we were dead in transgressions, made us alive together with Christ: by grace you are saved and He raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, to demonstrate in the coming ages (the millennial) the surpassing wealth of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you are saved through (gifted) faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works (nor choice) so that no one can boast. For we (followers of Jesus) are His workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them.)

    Paul was writing to the Ephesians Church of God, those He put in His church, not to unbelievers. (For disobedience Adam was removed.)

   (Gen 3:23-24; So the Lord God expelled Adam from the orchard in Eden to cultivate the ground from which he had been taken. When He drove the man out, He placed on the eastern side of the orchard in Eden angelic sentries who used the flame of a whirling sword to guard the way to the tree of life.)

     The way to the gift of eternal life would not be understood and revealed to the many until after Jesus’ ascension. (Satan is still in the business of deceiving people to think eternal life can be obtained another way.) Some baptize children at birth, claiming to have this authority to put them in God’s kingdom. Mostly, the world defines Christians as a people attending church on Sunday. All from the root foundation of Satan calling God a liar, and selling folks on the idea, ‘it’s good to choose for self.’ Satan’s lies were appealing to the created nature that desired to be immortal and have a divine nature, apart from God.

    God’s first prophetic words to Adam were, “in dying you will surely die.” Parallel words to, “From the ground you were taken, to the ground you will return.” The second prophetic words were to Satan, “And I will put hostility between you and the woman and between your offspring and her offspring; her offspring will attack your head and you will attack her offspring’s heel.”

   (From the Gen 3:15 text; there are disputes about who the woman represents. Could be, “the woman” represents the bride of Christ, His church. Ultimately Jesus and His followers; (the church) will destroy Satan. All the while, Satan is about the business of attacking followers of Jesus’ heel.

   Satan can’t destroy God’s church, but he is allowed deceiving powers that cripple. A great contention with some desiring to follow Jesus is; followers can obtain eternal life through professing belief. Satan has worldly religions, ‘Christendom’, believing all people were born to live forever someplace. (See Rev 21:8, about the second death.

   The first covenant promises were made with God’s servants: “particularly Noah and friend Abraham.” (About 430 years after promises with Abraham, (Jesus the Deliverer) led the Israelites through Moses, from Egypt (sin practices) to obedience to Himself practices.) Israelites promised to be true to God’s commands and oracles. All the while Satan was influencing them as he did Eve, “appealing to their desires to choose for themselves.” Finally their desires to practice (gentiles ways) caused them to want a king to rule over them. Satan was attacking the heel of God’s chosen.

   The New Covenant is also a contract between our Creator and those He chooses. The new covenant is with spiritual Israel, (Israel meaning, a people God fights for) a called out people to worship and be at one with Him in spirit and truth. A covenant of love. Jesus’ Apostle Paul was given the revelation to explain.

   (Romans 11:1-4; So I ask, God has not rejected His people, has He? Absolutely not! For I too am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Do you not know what the scripture says about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel? “Lord, they have killed your prophets, they have demolished your altars; I alone am left and they are seeking my life!” But what was the divine response to him? “I have kept for Myself seven thousand people who have not bent the knee to Baal.”)

   God has not rejected, but fights for Abraham’s physical and spiritual descendants. By God’s promises we are saved! His people are foreknown! God reserves (keeps for Himself) those He leads, not to bend the knee to Baal, (pagan practices.)

   (Romans 11:5-8; So in the same way at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace. And if it is by grace, it is no longer by works, otherwise grace would no longer be grace. What then? Israel failed to obtain what it was diligently seeking, but the Elect obtained it. The rest were hardened, as it is written, “God gave them (physical Israelites) a spirit of stupor, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, to this very day.)

   In this present age, a remnant of both Israelites and non-Israelites are chosen and saved by grace! Chosen to be Believers IN, (Christians - spiritual Israelites) “Jews.” (See Galatians 3:29 again.) As Creator, God has every right to call whom He chooses and harden whom He chooses.

   (Romans 11:9-12; And David says, “Let their (unbelievers) table become a snare and trap, a stumbling block and a retribution for them; let their eyes be darkened so that they may not see, and make their backs bend continually. (Quote from Psalms 69:22-23) I ask then, they did not stumble into an irrevocable fall, did they? Absolutely not! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make Israel, jealous. Now if their transgression means riches for the world and their defeat means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full restoration bring?)

   Oh, the miracle of God’s planning! God is yet to fulfill all His promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob’s heirs, (Israelites, all 12 tribes are yet going to inherit lands to the borders God promised Abraham.)

   Because of Adam’s disobedience, he and all his descendents inherited a desire for immortality and be divine beings. Want to choose for themselves and do their way, rather than turn to God’s Way. “Thus in Adam, all die, in Christ all will be made alive.” 1Corinthians 15:22)

   (Genesis 4:1; Now the man had marital relations with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. Then she said, “I have created a man just as the Lord did.” Not quite! Some think the meaning is “with the Lord’s help; others prefer “along with the Lord” in the sense of, “as equally with or in common with.” (See Lev 26:39; Isa 45:9; Jer 23:28). Either wording, works well in this context; the latter is reflected in the present translation. Some understand the translation to say, “I have acquired a man – the Lord.” Suggesting the woman thought (mistakenly) that she had given birth to the incarnate Lord, the Messiah who would bruise the Serpent’s head. This fanciful suggestion is based on a questionable allegorical interpretation of Gen 3:15. This latter comes from Eve’s believing the serpent, “God knows in dying, you won’t surely die.”
