To: 35,812 subscribers we pray ‘God is making Temples of His Spirit’, 5/20/22, God’s 2nd month, Lyyar 19, 5,782, day six until sunset.
We who are fathered by God’s spirit are gifted with a love for His ways, laws and oracles. We know “God the Father” as Gardener - Farmer - the One who Calls and hands us to Jesus. Jesus likens Himself to, “the Vine - tree trunk” and His followers, “branches.” He’s speaking of people imputed with His Word, His spirit.
(John 15:15:1-12; “I am the true vine and My Father is the gardener. He takes away every branch that does not bear fruit in Me. He prunes every branch that bears fruit so that it will bear more fruit. You (followers) are clean already because of the Word that I have spoken to you. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me – and I in him – bears much fruit, because apart from Me you can accomplish nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown out like a branch, and dries up; and such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire and burned up. If you remain in Me and My Words remain in you, ask whatever you want, and it will be done for you. My Father is honored by this, that you bear much fruit and show that you are My disciples.
“Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; remain in My love. If you obey my commandments, you will remain in My love, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. I have told you these things so that My joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete. My commandment is this – to love one another just as I have loved you.”) We can’t choose to be a branch, it’s the Father’s calling and choice.
Jesus’ good news, (gospel) is about His first and second coming, His shedding blood for the remission of sin, ascending to The Father to be our Mediator and, His millennial reign which was pre-planned from a beginning. Jesus inspired Jeremiah to write about His rule on earth.
(Jeremiah 31:23-33; “The Lord God of Israel who rules over all says, “I will restore the people of Judah to their land and to their towns. When I do, they will again say of Jerusalem, ‘May the Lord bless you, holy mountain, the place where righteousness dwells.’ The land of Judah will be inhabited by people who live in its towns as well as by farmers and shepherds with their flocks. I will fully, satisfy the needs of those who are weary and fully refresh the souls of those who are faint. Then they will say, ‘Under these conditions I can enjoy sweet sleep when I wake up and look around.’” (Israel will be repopulated)
“Indeed, a time is coming says the Lord, “when I will cause people and animals to sprout up in the lands of Israel and Judah. In the past I saw to it that they were uprooted and torn down, that they were destroyed and demolished. But now I will see to it that they are built up and firmly planted. I, the Lord, affirm it!” The Lord Will Make a New Covenant with Israel and Judah. (A perpetual will from One.)
“When that time comes, people will no longer say, ‘The parents have eaten sour grapes, but the children’s teeth have grown numb.’ Rather, each person will die for his own sins. The teeth of the person who eats the sour grapes will themselves grow numb. “Indeed, a time is coming,” says the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah. It will not be like the old covenant that I made with their ancestors when I delivered them from Egypt. For they violated that covenant, even though I was like a faithful husband to them,” says the Lord. “But I will make a New Covenant with the whole nation of Israel after I plant them back in the land,” says the Lord. “I will put My law within them and write it on their hearts and minds. I will be their God and they will be My people.
(Jer 31:34; “People will no longer need to teach their neighbors and relatives to know Me. For all of them, from the least important to the most important, will know Me,” says the Lord. “For I will forgive their sin and will no longer call to mind the wrong they have done.”)
In this interim age between Jesus’ first and second coming, God the Father is calling a people to be co-rulers with Jesus, ‘they’re His church, spiritual Israelites. David and Jesus’ apostles will have positions.’
God inspired Paul to write the same to the Hebrews. The New Covenant is about God’s calling and putting His laws in the minds of His chosen. Making people AT ONE with Himself. (Heb 10:16-39; “This is the covenant that I will establish with them after those days, says the Lord. I will put My laws on their hearts and I will inscribe them on their minds,” then He says, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no longer.” Now where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin. Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, by the fresh and living way that He inaugurated for us through the curtain, that is, through His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in the assurance that faith brings, because we have had our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed in pure water.
And let us hold unwaveringly to the hope that we confess, for the One who made the promise is trustworthy. And let us take thought of how to spur one another on to love and good works, not abandoning our own meetings, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other, and even more so because you see the day drawing near. For if we deliberately keep on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, no further sacrifice for sins is left for us, but only a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire that will consume God’s enemies.
Someone who rejected the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much greater punishment do you think that person deserves who has contempt for the Son of God, and profanes the blood of the covenant that made Him holy, and insults the Spirit of grace? For we know the One who said, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge His people.” It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
But remember the former days when you (Christians) endured a harsh conflict of suffering after you were enlightened. (after Jesus was revealed.) At times you were publicly exposed to abuse and afflictions, and at other times you came to share with others who were treated in that way. For in fact, you shared the sufferings of those in prison, and you accepted the confiscation of your belongings with joy, because you knew that you certainly had a better and lasting possession. So do not throw away your confidence, because it has great reward.
For you need endurance in order to do God’s will and so receive what is promised. For just a little longer and He who is coming will arrive and not delay. But My righteous one will live by faith, and if he shrinks back, I take no pleasure in him. But we (Christians) are not among those who shrink back and thus perish, but are among those who have faith and preserve their souls.”)
May we be blessed with persevering knowing faith, like that of the Patriarchs who didn’t take up the ways of the ungodly, but waited their entire lives. A faith like Joseph’s, who knew a future deliverance awaited Israel and ask that his bones be taken with them. (Chapter 11: Defines faith and tells of the future deliverances.)
(Hebrews 11:1; “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for, being convinced of what we do not see.”) People that God the Father calls and makes Believers IN are sure, have conviction that desires to be AT ONE with Him. Pray for gifted faith in God and His promises.
(Many professing Christians attempt to conjure up a faith and lead others to conjure up a faith from within their fleshly desires.) Without God’s revelations that dispels former fleshly imaginations, people’s beliefs aren’t faith by God’s definition.
(Heb 11:2-3; “For by it (faith) the people of old received God’s commendation. By faith we understand that the worlds were set in order at God’s command, so that the visible has its origin in the invisible.”)
Are we confident that God set the planets in order by His command? “That belief IN is the foundation for gifted faith.” Without confidence that Jesus is Creator as manifested in the holy scripture, we have no faith in Him, “as He defines faith.” Hoping for good things such as healings is good, but that isn’t Godly faith without gifted belief IN.”
(Heb 11:4; “By faith Abel offered God a greater sacrifice than Cain, and through his faith he was commended as righteous, because God commended him for his offerings. And through his faith he, (Abel) still speaks, though he is dead.”)
Abel offered a blood sacrifice of choice animals was an attitude of total submission, while Cain thought, “surely God will be pleased with a sacrifice of my choosing“ ‘what seems right to me.’ “Through this recording of Abel’s faith, “he still speaks, though dead.” If God is revealed to us and we believe IN, as Abel, we know those who thought to change God’s Sabbath, did so with a mentality like that of Cain’s.
(Heb 11:5-6; “By faith Enoch was taken up so that he did not see death, and he was not to be found because God took him up. For before his removal he had been commended as having pleased God. Now without faith it is impossible to please Him, for the one who approaches God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.”)
By faith in the whole word of God, we believe Enoch was removed, so as not to see death at that time. (Remember Hebrews 9:27-28, “And just as people are appointed to die once, and then to face judgment, so also, after Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, to those who eagerly await Him He will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to bring salvation.”) Apparently, Enoch was removed to continue witnessing at another place. Perhaps Enoch was removed as was Moses’ body, so people wouldn’t mourn or know his burial place. Remember Jesus is the first born, to eternal life.
(Heb 11:7; “By faith Noah, when he was warned about things not yet seen, with reverent regard constructed an ark for the deliverance of his family. Through faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.”)
We too are warned about things not yet seen and if we believe IN, we will reverently obey God. Noah, Abraham and all Believers IN are heirs of the promise that comes by gifted faith. Remember Jesus’ words to His apostle Thomas? It was difficult for Thomas to believe that Jesus was alive. So, Jesus appeared in the room where they were all assembled a second time.
Heb 11:8-10; “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place he would later receive as an inheritance, and he went out without understanding where he was going. By faith he lived as a foreigner in the promised land as though it were a foreign country, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, who were fellow heirs of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city with firm foundations, whose architect and builder is God.”)
We too, live day by day, not knowing what the next holds, but know as Abraham that we have a city whose architect and builder is God, like Abraham we’re foreigners, though we know we’re inheriting the earth!
(Heb 11:11-12; “By faith, even though Sarah herself was barren and Abraham was too old, Abraham received the ability to procreate, because he regarded the One who had given the promise to be trustworthy. So, in fact children were fathered by one man – and this one as good as dead – like the number of stars in the sky and like the innumerable grains of sand on the seashore.”) All these were called, not one lived by a conjured up faith.
