What’s pagan in God’s view? All who go the way seeming right to themselves. Only Noah and family were believers in God after the flood in his day, from there most of Noah’s descendants went the way that seemed right, ‘becoming pagan.’ Much later The Lord God Jesus chose Abraham and his faithful descendants to build His kingdom from. Jesus Himself prophesied through His called prophets about His own coming as the prophesied Lamb of God who’d take away people’s sins, who’d be called believers as Abraham.

Abraham’s descendants included Jacob, whose name God changed to Israel; ‘meaning, God fights or fights for.’ Thus, Jacob’s twelve sons and descendants to this day are called Israelites, a people who God gave perpetual promises to.

God gave the tribe of Judah ‘Jews’ the responsibility of maintaining His calendar and had His apostle Paul tell us; (Romans 3:1-4; Therefore what advantage does the Jew have, or what is the value of circumcision? Actually, there are many advantages. First of all, the Jews were entrusted with the oracles (eloquence) of God. What then? If some did not believe, does their unbelief nullify the faithfulness of God? Absolutely not! Let God be proven true, and every human being shown up as a liar, just as it is written: so that you will be justified in your words and will prevail when you are judged.)

World’s pagan calendars are going to be obsolete after Jesus’ return, including days of week named after pagan gods. See last study & Zachariah 14: AND about unidentified flying objects? Does not the scientific community and Christians know God has an army?

(Luke 5:12-16; “While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came to Him who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he bowed down with his face to the ground and begged him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” So, Jesus stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing. Be clean!” And immediately the leprosy left him. Then Jesus ordered the man to tell no one, “but commanded him, Go and show yourself to a priest, and bring the offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded as a testimony to them.”

But the news about Jesus spread even more, and large crowds were gathering, together to hear Him and to be healed of their illnesses. Yet Jesus Himself frequently withdrew to the wilderness and prayed.”)

(Jesus set up the temple system under Moses, demonstrated respect for priest duties and customs while He was serving as the Lord God of Israel. The priesthood was changed when Jesus ascended to His previous position, ‘now as mediator of a new and better covenant.’ When willing Jesus can still heal sicknesses completely and miraculously as He did in this Luke 5 account. In this Luke account, Jesus was healing all who came asking. Remember Jesus healed many when Peter’s shadow passed over them, demonstrating His power over the physical. (Jesus’ New Covenant doctrine regarding healing and our commanded practices are spelled out in Hebrews. We must note the result of people’s practicing apostasy “that is the yielding to pagan practices as well.” We take liberty to expound. (From Heb 5:13-14; For everyone who lives on milk is inexperienced in the message of righteousness, ‘because he is an infant.’ But solid food is for the mature, whose perceptions are trained by practice to discern both good and evil. (Hebrews 6:1-4 “Therefore we must progress beyond the elementary  instructions about Christ and move on to maturity: (that is from the discernment of good and evil through the law; to beliefs in Jesus’ faith to grow in.) not repeating this foundation again, but move on to the following) (1) “repentance from dead works” first we’re led to turn from the old fleshly practices) (2) “and Faith in God” (The called are led to trust in God’s Word, not religions.) (3) “Heb 6:2; Teaching about baptisms,” (Understand that water baptism foreshadows our being immersed in Jesus and that the unrepentant will ultimately be baptized with fire.) (4) “Laying on of hands” (A spiritual transfer demonstrating covenant obedience at baptism, at ordinations and when asking for faith healing.) (5) “Resurrection of the dead,” (Believe in the resurrection of the dead as promised, ‘the first to spirit like Jesus‘, and others to the physical restoring Israelites. (Being born again is likened to a resurrection, ‘in that, minds are renewed.’) (6) “Eternal judgment.” Unrepentant people will die a second death, Judgment on the last day is final.’) (7) “Move on to maturity.” Heb 6:1. We are commanded to overcome to the end, always maturing in Christ.)

(Hebrews 6:3-6; “This is what we intend to do if God permits. For it is impossible in the case of those who have once been enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, become partakers of the Holy Spirit, tasted the good word of God and the miracles of the coming age, and then have committed apostasy, (turn to paganism) to renew them again to repentance, since they are crucifying the Son of God for themselves all over again and holding Him up to contempt.) (Only God can enlighten, ‘open a mind and father with His spirit.’) Only through “Christ Jesus” can we taste the good word of God and believe IN the miracles of His coming age. Once God changes our nature, it is not likely He’ll lose even one.)

(Luke 5:17-20; Now on one of those days, while He was teaching, there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting nearby (who had come from every village of Galilee, Judea and Jerusalem) and the power of the Lord was with Him to heal.

Just then some men showed up, carrying a paralyzed man on a stretcher. They were trying to bring him in and place him before Jesus. But since they found no way to carry him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down on the stretcher through the roof tiles right in front of Him. When Jesus saw their faith He said, ‘Friend your sins are forgiven.’) (Action demonstrated total reliance and belief in which is life.)

(Luke 5:21-26; Then the experts in the law and the Pharisees began to think to themselves, “Who is this man who is uttering blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” When Jesus perceived their hostile thoughts, he said to them, “Why are you raising objections within yourselves? Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Stand up and walk’? But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” – he said to the paralyzed man – “I tell you, stand up, take your stretcher and go home.” Immediately he stood up before them, picked up the stretcher he had been lying on, and went home, glorifying God. Then astonishment seized them all, and they glorified God. They were filled with awe, saying, “We have seen incredible things today.”)

Jesus Calls Levi

(Luke 5:27-32; After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax booth. “Follow me,” He said to him. And he got up and followed him, leaving everything behind. Then Levi gave a great banquet in his house for Jesus, and there was a large crowd of tax collectors and others sitting at the table with them. But the Pharisees and their experts in the law complained to his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” Jesus answered them, “Those who are well don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.) (The Pharisee mentality was self- righteous, not realizing they too were sinners.)

A Question About Fasting

(Luke 5;33-39; Then they said to Him, “John’s disciples frequently fast and pray, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours continue to eat and drink.” So Jesus said to them, “You cannot make the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them, can you? But those days are coming, and when the bridegroom is taken from them, at that time they will fast. He also told them a parable: “No one tears a patch from a new garment and sews it on an old garment. If he does, he will have torn the new, and the piece from the new will not match the old. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins and will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed. Instead new wine must be poured into new wineskins. No one after drinking old wine wants the new, for he says, ‘The old is good enough.’”)         Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath

(Luke 6:1-5; Jesus was going through the grain fields on a Sabbath, and His disciples picked some heads of wheat, rubbed them in their hands, and ate them.  But some of the Pharisees said, “Why are you doing what is against the law on the Sabbath?” Jesus answered them, “Haven’t you read what David did when he and his companions were hungry – how he entered the house of God, took and ate the sacred bread, which is not lawful for any to eat but the priests alone, and gave it to his companions? Then He said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.” (Jesus is Lord all the time, but He isn’t Lord of the sixth or first day as in holy, but of the Sabbath.)

Allow Jesus’ revelation to Paul on the subject of a change. (Phil 2:5-11; You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had, who though He existed in the form of God did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped but emptied Him-self by taking on the form of a slave, by looking like other men, and by sharing in human nature. He humbled himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death – even death on a cross! As a result God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow – in heaven and on earth and under the earth – and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.)

Jesus never regarded or thought to change what was established through Moses, On Mt Sanai ‘The Lord Jesus’ gave Moses the commandments for His people’s good, making the commandments holy as stated in the fourth.)

The Good News according to Luke, chapter 7

Tuesday, June 28th, 2022

To: 36,864 subscribers we pray ‘God is making Temples of His Spirit’, 6/29/22, God’s 3rd month, Sivan 30, 5,782, (Day 4 until sunset.)

Remember Luke writes in “Acts of the Apostles and Luke;” ”I have followed all things carefully from the beginning, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know for certain the things you were taught.” Luke is not an apostle but an excellent reporter and follower of Jesus. (Luke 6:6-11; On another Sabbath, Jesus entered the synagogue and was teaching. Now a man was there whose right hand was withered. The experts in the law and the Pharisees watched Jesus closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath, so that they could find a reason to accuse him. But He knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, “Get up and stand here.” So he rose and stood there. Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you, is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil, to save a life or to destroy it?”  After looking around at them all, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” The man did so, and his hand was restored. But they were filled with mindless rage and began debating with one another what they would do to Jesus.) (Jesus knows our thoughts and our needs before we ask; we still need to ask. Today’s denominations evolve with the times, like the Pharisees, are hostile toward Jesus’ law and particularly the Sabbath. Few who think Jesus changed the Sabbath to the first day, don’t attempt to keep it holy either. The trouble with folks doing what seems right to themselves is, ‘what seems right evolves with the times.)     The Twelve Apostles

(Luke 6:12-16; Now it was during this time that Jesus went out to the mountain to pray, and He spent all night in prayer to God.  When morning came, He called his disciples and chose twelve of them, whom He also named apostles: (1) Simon (whom he named Peter), and his brother (2) Andrew; and (3) James, (4) John, (5) Philip, (6) Bartholomew, (7) Matthew, (8) Thomas, (9) James the son of Alphaeus, (10) Simon who was called the Zealot, (11) Judas the son of James, and 12) Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.)  (It wasn’t a mistake calling Iscariot,  (John 6:64; But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus had already known from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.)            Jesus Ministers to a Great Multitude

(Luke 6:17-19; Then He came down with them and stood on a level place. And a large number of His disciples had gathered along with a vast multitude from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon. They came to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases, and those who suffered from unclean spirits were cured. The whole crowd was trying to touch him, because power was coming out from him and healing them all.) (Note that having an unclean spirit is also a sickness that can be cured.)

The Beatitudes (Luke 6:20-23; Then He looked up at His disciples and said: “Blessed are you who are poor, for the kingdom of God belongs to you. “Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. “Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh. “Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject you as evil on account of the son of Man! Rejoice in that day, and jump for joy, because your reward is great in heaven. For their ancestors did the same things to the prophets.) (Even people who go along to get along with the world’s evolving views are rejected by majorities.)           Jesus Pronounces Woes:

Luke 6:24-26; “But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your comfort already. “Woe to you who are well satisfied with food now, for you will be hungry. “Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep. “Woe to you when all people speak well of you, for their ancestors did the same things to the false prophets.( Something is wrong spiritually when a preacher is roundly popular in a community.)       Love Your Enemies

Luke 6:27-36; “But I say to you who are listening: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. To the person who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other as well, and from the person who takes away your coat, do not withhold your tunic either. Give to everyone who asks you, and do not ask for your possessions back from the person who takes them away. Treat others in the same way that you would want them to treat you. “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to be repaid, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, so that they may be repaid in full. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because He is kind to ungrateful and evil people. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.) (This requires a supernatural nature change, ‘being born again-Fathered by God as does NOT judging others.)            Judging Others

Luk 6:37-42; “Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you: A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be poured into your lap. For the measure you use will be the measure you receive.” (He also told them a parable: “Someone who is blind cannot lead another who is blind, can he? Won’t they both fall into a pit? A disciple is not greater than his teacher, but everyone when fully trained will be like his teacher. Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to see the beam of wood in your own? How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck from your eye,’ while you yourself don’t see the beam in your own? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.) (Without being spiritually shepherded we are all somewhat hypocritical. Through Jesus’ imputed nature to our being we have power to overcome our inherited from Adam nature and put on Jesus’.) A Tree and Its Fruit; (Luke 6:43-45; “For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thorns, nor are grapes picked from brambles. The good person out of the good treasury of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasury produces evil, for his mouth speaks from what fills his heart.)

Build Your House on the Rock

Luke 6:46-49; “Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do what I tell you? “Everyone who comes to Me and listens to My words and puts them into practice – I will show you what he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep, and laid the foundation on bedrock. When a flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it, because it had been well built. But the person who hears and does not put My words into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the river burst against that house, it collapsed immediately, and was utterly destroyed!”)

Luke 7:1-10; After Jesus had finished teaching all this to the people, He entered Capernaum. A centurion there had a slave who was highly regarded, but who was sick and at the point of death. When the centurion heard about Jesus, he sent some Jewish elders to Him, asking Him to come and heal his slave. When they came to Jesus, they urged him earnestly, “He is worthy to have you do this for him, because he loves our nation, and even built our synagogue. So Jesus went with them. When He was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to say to him, Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof! That is why I did not presume to come to you. Instead, say the word, and my servant must be healed. For I too am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me. I say to this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, He was amazed at him. He turned and said to the crowd that followed him, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith!” So when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the slave well.)

(Unless we know Jesus has ultimate control, we do not know Him. He is, Re-creator, Creator, Deliverer, Healer, Shepherd, The resurrection, ‘The Vine in whom each believer, (as a branch) get their nourishment, Redeemer, Mediator, Savior and coming King of Kings.)

Luke 7:11-17; Soon afterward Jesus went to a town called Nain, His disciples and a large crowd went with Him. As he approached the town gate, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother (who was a widow), and a large crowd from the town was with her. When the Lord saw her, he had compassion for her and said to her, “Do not weep.”  Then He came up and touched the bier, and those who carried it stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!”  So the dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him back to his mother. Fear seized them all, and they began to glorify God, saying, “A great prophet has appeared among us!” and “God has come to help His people!” This report about Jesus circulated throughout Judea and all the surrounding country.) (This Lord Jesus is coming back to rule from Jerusalem, bring peace, prosperity to His people and salvation to all who love Him.

(Zachariah 14:16-21; Then all who survive from all the nations that came to attack Jerusalem will go up annually to worship the King, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, and to observe the Feast of Shelters. But if any of the nations, anywhere on earth refuse to go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, they will get no rain.

If the Egyptians will not do so, they will get no rain – instead there will be the kind of plague which the LORD inflicts on any nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Shelters. This will be the punishment of Egypt and of all nations that do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Shelters. On that day the bells of the horses will bear the inscription “HOLY TO THE LORD.” The cooking pots in the LORD’s temple will be as holy as the bowls in front of the altar.  Every cooking pot in Jerusalem and Judah will become holy in the sight of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, so that all who offer sacrifices may come and use some of them to boil their sacrifices in them. On that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.

The Good News according to Luke, chapter 6

To: 36,782 subscribers we pray ‘God is making Temples of His Spirit’, 6/25/22, God’s 3rd month, Sivan 26, 5,782, (The Sabbath until sunset.)

Yet Jesus Himself frequently withdrew to the wilderness and prayed.”) (Jesus set up the temple system under Moses, demonstrated respect for priest duties and customs while He was serving as the Lord God of Israel.

The priesthood was changed when Jesus ascended to His previous position, now as mediator of a new and better covenant. When willing Jesus can still heal sicknesses completely and miraculously as He did in this Luke 5 account. In this account, Jesus was healing all who came asking. Likewise, after Jesus’ ascension, He healed many when Peter’s shadow passed over them, demonstrating His power over the physical. Jesus’ New Covenant doctrine regarding healing and our practices are spelled out in Hebrews. We must note the result of people’s practicing apostasy “that is yielding to pagan practices as well.” We take liberty to expound. (From Heb 5:13-14; For everyone who lives on milk is inexperienced in the message of righteousness, because he is an infant. But solid food is for the mature, whose perceptions are trained by practice to discern both good and evil. (Hebrews 6:1-4 “Therefore we must progress beyond the elementary  instructions about Christ and move on to maturity: (that is from the practices that discern good and evil ‘the law’ to belief’s we need to grow in) not repeating this foundation again: (but move on to the following) (1) “repentance from dead works” first we’re led to turn from the old fleshly practices) (2) “and Faith in God” (The called are led to trust in God’s Word, not religions.) (3) “Heb 6:2; Teaching about baptisms,” (Understand that water baptism foreshadows our being immersed in Jesus and that the unrepentant will ultimately be baptized with fire.) (4) “Laying on of hands (A spiritual transfer demonstrating covenant obedience at baptism, at ordinations and when asking for faith healing.) (5) “Resurrection of the dead,” (Believe in the resurrections of the dead as promised, the first to spirit like Jesus‘ and second to physical, restoring Israelites. (Born again is likened to a resurrection, in that minds are renewed.) The unrepentant will die a second death. See Rev 21:8.) (6) “Eternal judgment.” Judgment on the last day is final.) (7) Move on to maturity. Heb 6:1. We are commanded to overcome to the end, always maturing in Christ.)

(Hebrews 6:3-6; “This is what we intend to do if God permits. For it is impossible in the case of those who have once been enlightened, tasted the heavenly gift, become partakers of the Holy Spirit, tasted the good word of God and the miracles of the coming age, and then have committed apostasy, to renew them again to repentance, since they are crucifying the Son of God for themselves all over again and holding Him up to contempt.) (Only God can enlighten, open a mind and father with His spirit.) Only through “Christ Jesus” can we taste the good word of God and believe IN the miracles of the coming age. Once God changes our nature, it is not likely He’ll lose even one.

When Jesus saw their faith He said ‘Friend your sins are forgiven.’) (Action demonstrated total reliance and belief in which is life.)

(Luke 5:21-26; Then the experts in the law and the Pharisees began to think to themselves, “Who is this man who is uttering blasphemies?

Then He said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.” (Jesus isn’t Lord of the sixth or first day, but of the Sabbath.)

(Phil 2:5-11; You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had, who though He existed in the form of God did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped but emptied Himself by taking on the form of a slave, by looking like other men, and by sharing in human nature. He humbled himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death – even death on a cross! As a result God highly exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow – in heaven and on earth and under the earth – and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.) (Jesus never regarded or thought to change the Sabbath, He gave it to Moses on Mt Sanai for the people’s good, and made it holy as stated in the fourth commandment.)

The Good News according to Luke, chapter 5

Thursday, June 23rd, 2022

To: 36,782 subscribers we pray ‘God is making Temples of His Spirit’, 6/23/22, God’s 3rd month, Sivan 24, 5,782, (Day 5 until sunset.)

Let’s review Jesus’ hometown teaching about healings during Elijah’s day. (Luke 4:16-30; Now Jesus came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, as was His custom. He stood up to read, and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and the regaining of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lords favor.”

Then He rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on him. Then He began to tell them, “Today this scripture has been fulfilled even as you heard it being read.” All were speaking well of Him, and were amazed at the gracious words coming out of His mouth. They said, “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” Jesus said to them, “No doubt you will quote to Me the proverb, (‘Physician, heal yourself!’ and say, ‘What we have heard that you did in Capernaum, do here in your hometown too.’” And he added, “I tell you the truth, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown. But in truth I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in Elijah’s days, when the sky was shut up three and a half years, and there was a great famine over all the land. Yet Elijah was sent to none of them, but only to a woman who was a widow at Zarephath in Sidon. And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha, yet none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.)

When they heard this, all the people in the synagogue were filled with rage. They got up, forced Him out of the town, and brought Him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they could throw Him down the cliff. But He passed through the crowd and went on His way. (We are natural followers of what seems right to our inherited from Adam fleshly nature. “I’ll, decide for myself is the way most think.” Which is lawless and idolatry, Jesus inspired His apostle John to explain.)

(1John3:4-5; “Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; indeed, sin is lawlessness. And you know that Jesus was revealed to take away sins, and in Him there is no sin.”) (The purpose of God the Father’s revealing Jesus to us, is; “to take away our sins.” That is, “change our inherited nature.”) From our Genesis study, we should have learned all except those God reveals Himself to, practices the way that seemed right.” That record is clear, “God called, revealed Himself to Noah and descendants of choice.” All others, “practiced the way that seemed right to themselves.” (Later the Lord Jesus revealed Himself to Abraham and made covenant promises that includes followers of Himself, to whom He’s also making binding covenant promise. Pointing followers to His Way, admonishing for lawless practices and blessings for turning to Him.) Review Judges 2:11-14. The historical record of all people groups are; ‘they usually follow the way of their ancestral traditions.’ Traditionally people look to those whose charisma attracts them, which is idolatry and the worldly demonic way!

Earlier we studied Jesus’ prophetic words through Isaiah, recorded in chapter 61, giving understanding “a large portion of that prophecy is for the millennium when Jesus rules as King of Kings with His Saints.” A time when Satan is bound, unable to deceive and divide. Jesus’ gospel through His prophets and apostles will then spread.

After Jesus overcame Satan’s temptations, debating the meaning of God’s word with him, Jesus went to a synagogue and read from Isaiah 61. (Through our inherited nature we can’t understand God “choosing, healing, calling, and granting understanding to whom He will.) Generally, Christendom teaches, “a saved by grace theology but, think people can choose when to obtain or choose His grace!” (The people said to Jesus, “we heard what you did in Capernaum, so do the same for we hometown folks.”) (Review v 23 above.) Jesus explained “God did the choosing through Elijah.” “Physician heal yourself is what Jesus knew He’d hear at His crucifixion.” Now, people of Galilee where Jesus grew up were amazed, saying; “isn’t this Joseph’s son.”

When Jesus related how Elisha was sent to selected people, “true to their inherited nature the people got angry.” Also saying, “this fellow citizen we grew up with is claiming to be a prophet.” (Luke 4:31-37; “So Jesus went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee; on the Sabbath and began to teach the people. They were amazed at His teaching because He spoke with authority.

Now in the synagogue there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice, (“Ha! Leave us alone, ‘Jesus the Nazarene’, Have you come to destroy us? I, know who you are – the Holy One of God.”) But Jesus rebuked him: “saying” “Silence! Come out of him!” Then, after the demon threw the man down in their midst, the demon came out of him without hurting him. The people were all amazed and began to say to one another, “What’s happening here? For with authority and power Jesus commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!” So, the news about Jesus spread into all areas of the region.) (Satan and demons not only recognized The Son of God they recognize people imputed with God’s spirit.) Through Jesus’ presence and His apostles teaching we have a glimpse of the Kingdom of God on earth. A time when all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Study Joel) This present age is likened to when Elijah was God’s prophet, only a few chosen are called.

(Luke 4:38-39; After Jesus left the synagogue, He entered Simon Peter’s house. Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her. So, He stood over her, commanded the fever, and it left her. Immediately she got up and began to serve them.) Peter was or had been married and blessed with a mother-in-law. Peter was never a pope, nor was he ever assign a successor to himself. The idea of a pope comes from the depth of paganism.

(Luke 4:40-41; As the sun was setting, all those who had any relatives sick with various diseases brought them to Jesus. He placed His hands on every one of them and healed them. Demons also came out of many, crying out, “You are the Son of God!” But Jesus rebuked them, and would not allow them to continue speaking, because they knew that He was the Christ.)     Professing Christians practicing pagan customs don’t know “the Jesus manifested in the old and new Testaments is The Christ.” Imagining a baby in a manger or an image on a cross isn’t recognizing Jesus the Creator, Re-creator, Healer, Deliverer, Savior, Mediator and coming King of Kings.” One who said, “why call Me Lord, Lord and not obey My Word. The Jesus that’s coming with power to rule. “Demons know Him but the many denominations calling themselves Christian do not.” (The current pope that said he could not judge homosexuals, does not know Jesus!)

Followers of Jesus are also led to recognize sin (from Jesus’ point of view.)  We must all turn from what’s sin in His View or be ultimately destroyed. An assembly, individual practicing or condoning what God considers sin should not call themselves Christian.

(Luke 4:42-44; The next morning Jesus departed and went to a deserted place. Yet the crowds were seeking Him, and they came to Him and tried to keep Him from leaving them. But Jesus said to them, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns too, for that is what I was sent to do.” So, Jesus continued to preach in the synagogues of Judea.) The gospel is NONE other than “good news of Jesus’ coming kingdom.” Following Jesus includes being called, ‘fathered by God, repentance, belief in the resurrections, final judgment and New Jerusalem coming down etc.’

(Luke 5:1-11; Now Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, (Sea of Galilee) (See the parallel at Matt 4:18) The crowd was pressing around Him to hear the Word of God. He saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gotten out of them and were washing their nets. Jesus got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little way from the shore. Then Jesus sat down and taught the crowds from the boat. When He had finished speaking, He said to Simon, “Put out into the deep water and lower your nets for a catch.” Simon answered, “Master, we worked hard all night and caught nothing! But at Your Word I will lower the nets.” When they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets started to tear. So, they motioned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both boats, so that they were about to sink. But when Simon Peter saw it, he, fell-down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!” For Peter and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken, and so were James and John, Zebedee’s sons, who were Simon’s business partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching people.” So, when they had brought their boats to shore, they left everything and followed Jesus.) (To the fleshly minded, believing IN what all the holy scriptures teach about Jesus’ activities is foolishness.)

Dr Luke’s account now jumps forward to Zachariah’s miracle son, “John” called “John the Baptist.” (Luke 3:1-3; “In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, when Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea, and Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip was tetrarch, over the region of Iturea and Trachonitis, while Lysanias was tetrarch of Abilene. During the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness. He went into all the region around the Jordan River, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.”)

(A Tetrarch was a joint ruler with, Herod, Philip and Lysanias, three of four subordinates.) (Repentance means, “a turning from.” Baptism means, “an emersion in.” (God’s CALLING is when a person’s sin nature is revealed, ‘erroneous practices exposed’ and God gives the desire to turn.) Baptism should be an outward agreement with God, whereby a person promises to immerse themselves in the Way of God the Father and God the Son. One can’t do, without a turning from.

(Luke 3:4-6; “As it is written in the ‘book of the words of Isaiah the prophet’, “The voice of one shouting in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make his paths straightEvery valley will be filled, and every mountain and hill will be brought low, and the crooked will be made straight, and the rough ways will be made smooth, and all humanity will see the salvation of God.’”) Luke is quoting from Isaiah 40:3-5. All the gospel accounts use this citation from Isaiah, ‘only Luke cites the material of verses. 5-6.’ His goal may well be to get to the declaration of v. 6, where all humanity (i.e., all nations) will see God’s salvation (See also Luke 24:47). Jesus’ return with power and John’s assignment, was revealed to Isaiah by Jesus. (Isaiah’s prophecy is also for Jesus’ millennial rule,)

(Isaiah 40:1-11; “Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God. “Speak kindly to Jerusalem and tell her that her time of warfare is over, that her punishment is completed. For the Lord has made her pay double for all her sins.” A voice cries out, “In the wilderness clear a way for the Lord, construct in the desert a road for our God. Every valley must be elevated, and every mountain and hill leveled. The rough terrain will become a level plain, the rugged landscape a wide valley. The splendor of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it at the same time. For the Lord has decreed it.” (verse 6) A voice says, “Cry out!” Another asks, “What should I cry out?” The first voice responds: “All people are like grass, and all their promises are like the flowers in the field. The grass dries up, the flowers wither, when the wind sent by the Lord blows on them. Surely humanity is like grass. The grass dries up, the flowers wither, but the decree of our God is forever reliable.” Go up on a high mountain, O herald Zion! Shout out loudly, O herald Jerusalem! Shout don’t be afraid! Say to the towns of Judah, “Here is your God!” (10) Look, the sovereign Lord comes as a victorious warrior; His military power establishes His rule. Look, His reward is with Him; His prize goes before Him. (11) Like a shepherd He tends His flock; He gathers up the lambs with His arm; He carries them close to His heart; He leads the ewes along.”) This is Jesus’ good news, “gospel” through Isaiah! One of many causing Jesus’ apostles to expect Him to fulfill, when they were first being called.

(Luke 3:7-9; “So John said to the crowds that came out to be baptized by him, “You offspring of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? Therefore, produce fruit that proves your repentance, and don’t begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that God can raise up children for Abraham from these stones! Even now the ax is laid at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”)

We all have inherited a, ‘self-importance nature’ from Adam. A rebellious outlook that thinks it okay to decide for one’s self “what’s right, wrong, good and evil.” Through John, Jesus puts things in perspective. We each are as grass! The idea is, ‘to turn to Jesus and from the world.’ (Luke 3:10-17; “So the crowds were asking John, “What then should we do?” John answered them, “The person who has two tunics must share with the person who has none, and the person who has food must do likewise.” Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and they said to John, “Teacher, what should we do?” He told them, “Collect no more than you are required to.” Then some soldiers also asked him, “And as for us – what should we do?” He told them, “Take money from no one by violence or by false accusation and be content with your pay.” While the people were filled with anticipation and they all wondered whether perhaps John could be the Christ, John answered them all, “I baptize you with water, but One more powerful than I am is coming – I am not worthy to untie the strap of His sandals. He will baptize you, “immerse you” with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in His hand to clean out His threshing floor and to gather the wheat into His storehouse, but the chaff He will burn up with inextinguishable fire.”) (See Job 20:26 & Isaiah 34:8-10, & 66:24.)

Chaff is a metaphor for unbelieving people. (Jesus’ Words, ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind’, is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.” Matt 22:37-40) The threshing floor represents the world. Jesus gave parables that fits John’s words.

(Matt 13:24-30; “The kingdom of heaven is like a person who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, an enemy (Satan) came and sowed weeds among the wheat (Christians) and went away. (Satan plants enemies among God’s people to divide and confuse. When, the plants (Christians) sprouted and bore grain (fruit) then the weeds, (those presenting themselves as angels of light) also appeared. So, the slaves of the owner came and said to Him, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Then where did the weeds come from?’ He said, ‘An enemy has done this.’ So, the slaves replied, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them?’ But He (Jesus) said, ‘No, since in gathering the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At harvest time I will tell the reapers, “First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned, but then gather the wheat (My people) into My barn.”’”)

(Matt 19:16-30; “Now someone came up to Him and said, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to gain eternal life?” He said to him, “Why do you ask Me about what is good? There is only One who is good. But if you want to enter into life keep the commandments.” (“Which ones?” he asked. Jesus replied, “Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.”) The young man said to him, “I have wholeheartedly obeyed all these laws. What do I still lack?” Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be perfect, go sell your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.” But when the young man heard this, he went away sorrowful, for he was very rich. Then Jesus said to His disciples, “I tell you the truth, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven! Again, I say, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter, into the kingdom of God.” The disciples were greatly astonished when they heard this and said, “Then who can be saved?” Jesus looked at them and replied, “This is impossible for mere humans, but for God all things are possible.” Then Peter said to Him, “Look, we have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?” Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth: In the age when all things are renewed, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thronesjudging the twelve tribes of Israel. And whoever has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or fields for My sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”)

The twelve tribes of Israel are yet going to be delivered to the borders Jesus promised Abraham, “Jesus’ 12 apostles already have part of their assignment.    (Luke 3:18-20; “And in this way, with many other exhortations, John proclaimed good news to the people. But when John rebuked Herod the tetrarch because of Herodias, his brother’s wife, and because of all the evil deeds that he had done, Herod added this to them all: He locked up John in prison.”) John’s message is to all Believers IN, but his audience back then was primarily Israelites of the tribe of Judah, “Pharisees/Sadducees” that were ruled from Rome. The Romans had long since adapted pagan practices and beliefs in gods of the imagination.

(Luke 3:21-22; “Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized. (See Matthew 3:6-17, Mark 1:5-12) And while Jesus was praying, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, “You are My One dear Son; in You I take great delight.”)

God’s Spirit resided in Jesus from conception, this measure is given visibly as a witness to the people. When the people received the Holy Spirit on the Pentecost after Jesus’ ascension, it was visible as a witness. Unless to witness, God doesn’t make the Holy Spirit visible. Jesus explained to Nicodemus, when He was celebrating the Last Great Day of the Feast of Tabernacles. (John 3:8; “The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”)

Jesus was about thirty years old when He began teaching. Mary’s husband, Joseph was the primary supporter of the family. Joseph and Mary’s heredity from the fathers go back to Adam, his son Seth, after the flood, Noah, and his son Shem. Most notably in the heredity line is David. Study the list, beginning in verse 23-38. Satan knew the plan regarding Jesus’ birth; he set out to counterfeit; duplicate every aspect, causing the many to worship him. Mother and son worship go back long before Jesus’ birth. Satan inspired counterfeit religions, copying resemblances of God’s plan, so humans would look to and worship him as an angel of light. (See 2 Corinthians 11:14) This apostasy is exposed by our Lord’s brother “Jude” and in the book of Judges.

(Judges 2:11-14; “The Israelites did evil before the Lord by worshiping the Baals. They abandoned the Lord God of their ancestors who brought them out of the land of Egypt. They followed other gods – the gods of the nations who lived around them. They worshiped them and made the Lord angry. They abandoned the Lord and worshiped Baal and the Ashtars.”) (Ashtaroth was also called “the queen of heaven.” When Jeremiah witnessed to them, they said to him; “We will not listen to what you claim the Lord has spoken to us! Instead, we will do everything we vowed we would do. We will sacrifice and pour out drink offerings to the goddess called the “Queen of Heaven” just as we and our ancestors, our kings, and our leaders previously did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, were well-off, and had no troubles.” Jeremiah 44:16-17)

Paul contended with these pagans in Greece, understanding, “if the people turned to Jesus, it would interrupt their business.” They said; There’s danger not only that this business of ours will come into disrepute, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be regarded as nothing, and she whom all the province of Asia and the world worship will suffer the loss of her greatness.” When the people heard this, they became enraged and began to shout, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”” Acts 19:27-28) Nothing has changed! When people today hear and see God’s truth, they think, “to follow this our business will suffer, the whole world is worshiping traditionalism.

To: 36,527 subscribers we pray ‘God is making Temples of His Spirit’, 6/16/22, God’s 3rd month, Sivan 17, 5,782, (Day 5 until sunset.)

Paul understood and, reveals how we should reflect on our cleansing of heart, “a circumcision of the heart.” (Philippians 2:4-11; “Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well. You should have the same attitude toward one another that Christ Jesus had, who though He existed in the form of God (as we His created people) did not regard equality with God as something to be grasped but emptied Himself by taking on the form of a slave, by looking like other men, and by sharing in human nature. Jesus humbled Himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death – even death on a cross! As a result, God exalted Him and gave Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow – in heaven and on earth and under the earth – and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.”) (When people decide for themselves, what is right, wrong, good, and evil; they in fact are, “regarding themselves as God’s equal.”)

It was all preplanned that the life of God the Father’s own, ‘begotten, (fathered) Son,’ the same one saying He was ‘Lord of the Sabbath’, and ‘let us make man in our image’, would come as the Messiah and give His life for the saving of those He’d call. This Son of God would grow and learn from things experienced, so He could be the Mediator of the called before God the Father.  Jesus’ birth, life and suffering was, revealed to the prophets. (Study Isaiah 52 & 53:)

(Isaiah 52:13-15; “Look, My servant will succeed! He will be elevated, lifted high, and greatly exalted (just as many were horrified by the sight of You.) He was so disfigured He no longer looked like a man; His form was so marred He no longer looked human – so now He will startle many nations. Kings will be shocked by His exaltation, for they will witness something unannounced to them, and they will understand something they had not heard about.”) Let’s back up to chapter 11, (Isaiah 11:1-10; “A shoot will grow out of Jesse’s root stock, a bud will sprout from his, (Jessie’s) roots. The Lord’s spirit will rest on Him – a spirit that gives extraordinary wisdom, a spirit that provides the ability to execute plans, a spirit that produces absolute loyalty to the Lord. He will take delight in obeying the Lord. He will not judge by mere, appearances or make decisions on the basis, of hearsay. He will treat the poor fairly and make right decisions for the downtrodden of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth and order the wicked to be executed. Justice will be like a belt around His waist, integrity will be like a belt around His hips. “A wolf will reside with a lamb, and a leopard will lie down with a young goat; an ox and a young lion will graze together, as a small child leads them along. A cow and a bear will graze together, their young will lie down together. A lion, like an ox, will eat straw. A baby will play over the hole of a snake; over the nest of a serpent an infant will put his hand.” “They will no longer injure or destroy on My entire royal mountain. For there will be universal submission to the Lord’s sovereignty, just as the waters completely cover the sea.” “At that time a root from Jesse, (Jesus) will stand like a signal flag for the nations. Nations will look to Him for guidance, and His residence will be majestic. At that time the Sovereign Master will again lift His hand to reclaim the remnant of His people from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and the seacoasts. He will lift a signal flag for the nations; He will gather Israel’s dispersed people and assemble Judah’s scattered people from the four corners of the earth. Ephraim’s jealousy will end, and Judah’s hostility will be eliminated. Ephraim will no longer be jealous of Judah, and Judah will no longer be hostile toward Ephraim. They will swoop down on the Philistine hills to the west; together they will loot the people of the east. They will take over Edom and Moab and the Ammonites will be their subjects. The Lord will divide the gulf of the Egyptian Sea; He will wave His hand over the Euphrates River and send a strong wind, He will turn it into seven dried-up streams, and enable them to walk across in their sandals. There will be a highway leading out of Assyria for the remnant of His people, just as there was for Israel, when they went up from the land of Egypt.”) (Jessie is David’s dad, and the next physical deliverance of God’s people will be greater than the one from Egypt.)

As reviewed in last study, Jesus is yet going, to miraculously restore scattered Israel, ‘similar, to His delivering from Egypt.’ Similar, to when He had Joshua lead them across the Jordan.

God’s Word defines the characteristics of the patriarchs, prophets, Jesus’ apostles, believers, and unbelieving people, who subscribe to traditionalism. Characterizing bad people aren’t withheld. (Believers have in common, “a mind to wait on God’s promises.”) (We will see most of Jesus’ promises after His second coming and our resurrection.) As revealed in Hebrews 11: “All these Believers were commended for their faith, yet they did not receive what was promised, for God had provided something better for us, so that they would be made perfect together with us.“ See Heb 11:39-40)

Jesus teaches; “His followers are gifted with faith in His promises, that they will receive an inheritance, a city with firm foundations, whose architect and builder is God.”

“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place he would later receive as an inheritance, and he went out without understanding where he was going.” Like followers of Jesus are called to separate from this world’s system of things.

(Doctor Luke confirms, this is the good news, “gospel” each follower of Jesus is led to believe and confirms a fulfillment of all the prophets foretold about Him. Believers know we can’t separate the restoration of Israel from Jesus’ good news. (Continue in Luke’s inspired second chapter.)

(Luke 2:25-35; “Now there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon who was righteous and devout, looking for the restoration of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. So, Simeon, “directed by the Spirit” came into the temple courts, and when the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for Him what was customary according to the law, Simeon took Him in his arms and blessed God, saying, (Now, according to Your word, Sovereign Lord, permit Your servant to depart in peace. For my eyes have seen Your salvation that You have prepared in the presence of all peoples: a light, for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to Your people Israel.) So, Jesus’ parents were amazed at what was said about Him. Then Simeon blessed them and said to Jesus’ mother Mary, (Listen carefully: This child is destined to be the cause of the falling and rising of many in Israel and to be a sign that will be rejected. Indeed, as a result, of Jesus, the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed – and a sword will pierce your own soul as well!”)

These prophetic things revealed to Simeon are basically the same things Jesus had revealed through Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Daniel, about Himself. We have record of the world rejecting Jesus in this current age.

(Luke 2:36-40; There was also a prophetess, “Anna the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher.” She was very old, having been married to her husband for seven years until his death. She had lived as a widow since then for eighty-four years. She never left the temple, worshiping with fasting and prayer night and day. At that moment, she came up to them and began to give thanks to God and to speak about the child to all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.

So, when Joseph and Mary had performed everything according to the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth. And Jesus grew and became strong, filled with wisdom, and the favor of God, (the Father) was upon Him.”)

Jesus’ gospel defines Redemption as; “the act of saving something or somebody from a declined, dilapidated, or corrupted state and restoring it.” Followers of Jesus are waiting for, the redemption of Jerusalem and Israel. Remember, the word, (Israel) meaning, “God fights or fights for.” Spiritual Israelites are, neither Jew, Greek, slave nor free, neither male nor female – for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:28-29)

NOW, Luke’s account of Jesus’ life jumps about twelve years.

(Luke 2:41; “Now Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem every year for the feast of the Passover.” (Passover is the fourteenth day of God’s first month, called Nisan or Adar on Israel‘s, calendar.) The fifteenth day of God’s first month starts the first of seven annual Sabbaths, the twenty first is God’s second of seven annual Sabbaths. The feast of Passover begins the feast of Unleavened Bread: the season Jesus and His parents were attending.

Only Pentecost of the seven annual Sabbaths comes on a particular day of the week, on the second day of the week because the count of fifty days is from the Wave Sheaf weekly Sabbath, during the Feast of Unleavened Bread. All other annual Sabbaths are counted from first of months ‘the New Moon’ to designated dates. (The annual Sabbath on the fifteenth day of Nisan is the Sabbath they were hurrying to bury Jesus before its beginning.) So accordingly, occasionally an annual and weekly Sabbath comes on the same day. Today’s professing Christian establishment caters to the pagan Roman calendar and desires to keep their parishioners blinded to these facts. During Jesus’ millennial kingdom, the whole world will have this knowledge and be obedient to it.

(Luke 2:42-52; “When Jesus was twelve years old, they went up according to custom. But when the feast was over, as they were returning home, Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. His parents did not know it, but (because they assumed that Jesus was in their group of travelers) they went a day’s journey. Then they began to look for Him among their relatives and acquaintances. When they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem to look for Him. After three days they found Him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them, and asking them questions. And all who heard Jesus were astonished at His understanding and His answers. When Jesus’ parents saw Him, they were overwhelmed. His mother said to Him, “Child, why have you treated us like this? Look, your father and I have been looking for you anxiously.” But Jesus replied, “Why were you looking for Me? Didn’t you know that I must be in My Father’s house?” Yet His parents did not understand the remark He made to them. Then Jesus went down with them, came to Nazareth and was obedient to them. But His mother kept all these things in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and with people.”)

Perhaps some of what the angel Gabriel had said to Mary had not yet jelled in her mind.

Knowing God is to believe IN, as He reveals His loving characteristics. He chooses who He’ll reveal Himself to and work through. If we had no other prophecy than Gabriel’s spoken word to Mary, we’d be Believers IN and know: (a) Gabriel spoke God’s Words. (b) Zachariah, Elizabeth, John, and Mary were God’s chosen. (c) Jesus was miraculously fathered by God the Father, that is, “Spiritually Begotten, filled with the Holy Spirit at conception” as pre-planned to fulfill all that was written about Him. (d) Jesus’ linage is from David and He’s the pre-planned heir to the throne of David. (e) Jesus is to reign over the house of Jacob (Israel) forever. (See Galatians 3:29.) It’s gifted knowledge to God’s chosen, (chosen to believers in Jesus, to be fathered by God the Father for the purpose of adding to His family.

God hides His face from the unbelieving world at large, leaves His people to themselves when they turn to other gods of their imagination. (All people are like sheep, subject to fleshly whims and demonic deception when there’s no Shepherd guiding.) When left to themselves people turn to ways, practices and traditions that seems right to their pro-created inherited from Adam fleshly nature. Thus, people act, as gods to themselves dishonoring God and His truths. (Demonically minded folks are on the broad way, Jesus describes as leading to destruction.) (After telling Moses that he would not be allowed; to cross the Jordan, ‘because of his not giving Him the glory when giving Israelites water from a rock’, God then told Moses Israelites’ future.) (See Deuteronomy 31:18-23; “They will reject Me and break their covenant I made with them. He would be angry, abandon them and hide His face until they were devoured, disasters and distresses will overcome them so that they will say at that time, ‘disasters overcome us because our God is not among us.’ But I will certainly hide Myself at that time because of all the wickedness they will have done by turning to other gods.”)

So it is, God’s face, is hid from all but those He chooses to reveal Himself to. Since Adam and particularly in this age, in which professing Christians are choosing this world’s traditions over obedience God is allowing each, go the way that seems right to themselves.) Satan becomes the god of all who rely on their intellect, the clergy, denominations, and such. (Except for the few mentioned, like ‘Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Jesus’ followers then and now’ this world’s populations have turned to gods of their imaginations.) God has preserved a clear history of the result of people going the way that seems right. Biblical history is clear, ‘God calls whom He chooses.’ He chose Noah, Seth, and their descendants, up to and through the line to Abraham, including David and Jesus. Jesus’ good news and His New Covenant hinges on His promises to Abraham.

Except for God’s chosen, such as Moses, prophets, Samuel, David and those who led Israel away from, worshiping at the pagan high places, images and seers: “God hid His face until sending Gabriel to Zachariah, revealing John’s birth and that he’d be as Elijah, announcing the Son of God. John would be, gifted with ‘the Holy Spirit, a fathering from God,’ before his birth. When Mary visited, Elizabeth was filled with ‘the Holy Spirit’ and prophesied. After John’s birth and Zachariah writing, “his name is John” Zachariah too was, filled with the Holy Spirit.

Heirs with Jesus, ‘Christians” are spiritual Israelites, remember the word, “Israel” means “God fights” or “fights for.” ‘Israel replaces the name Jacob and has the meaning of; a promise and a call for faith. Thus, followers of Jesus are indeed spiritual Israelites. (In essence the Lord is saying that Jacob would have victory, receive the promises, because God would be with him.)

(Luke 1:67-80; “Then John’s father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied, “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, because He has come to help and has redeemed His people. For He has raised up a horn of salvation (Jesus) for us in the house of His servant David, as He spoke through the mouth of His holy prophets from long ago, that we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us.”) Israel was scattered when Zachariah prophesied, and his prophecy indicates ‘another deliverance is what’s spoken of here.’ (Being saved from enemies, is like the release Jesus preached in Luke 4:18-19.’) (Luke’s narrative shows that one of the enemies in view is Satan, cohort false teachers and the grip they would have on all humanity.) Zachariah’s prophecy continues.

God has done this to show mercy to our ancestors, and to remember His holy covenant – the oath that He swore to our ancestor Abraham. (Genesis 12:1-3) This oath grants that we being rescued from the hand of our enemies, may serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him for as long as we live.) (Zachariah is repeating prophesy, the Lord God gave  Abraham.)

Zachariah continues, And you, child, (speaking of John) will be called the prophet of the Most High. For you will go before the Lord to prepare His ways, to give His people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins. Because of our God’s tender mercy, the dawn will break upon us from on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”)

In the power of Elijah, John the Baptist was a prophet, revealing knowledge of salvation through Jesus and the forgiveness of sins. John grew, became strong in spirit, and was in the wilderness until the day he was revealed to Israel. God did the revealing to His chosen, (the Israelites) and those He would later make spiritual Israelites, (those He’d be with & protect.) Not everyone was given to understand that John was the prophesied forerunner. (The Pharisees and Sadducees didn’t come to his defense when Herod had him jailed.) Now we understand, ‘God foreknew, the Baptist has obtained a better city.’ As Satan attempted to destroy Moses through an evil ruler, he attempted to destroy Jesus.

(Luke 2:1-7; “Now in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus to register all the empire for taxes. This was the first registration, taken when Quirinius was governor of Syria. Everyone went to his own town to be registered, so Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family line of David. “Joseph went to be registered with Mary, who was promised in marriage to him and who was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for her to deliver her child. And she gave birth to her firstborn Son and wrapped Him in strips of cloth and laid Him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.”) (Its demonstrated here again “what people think weak, God turns to strength.)

(Luke 2:8-14; “Now there were shepherds nearby living out in the field, keeping guard over their flock at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were absolutely terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid! Listen carefully, for I proclaim to you good news that brings great joy to all the people: “Today your Savior is born in the city of David. He is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for you: You will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a vast, heavenly army appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among people with whom He is pleased!”) (This prophesied peace on earth is with whom? Who is God pleased with?)

(Luke 2:15-20; “When the angels left them and went back to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem, “the city of David” and see this thing that has taken place, that the Lord has made known to us.” So, they hurried off and located Mary and Joseph, and found the baby lying in a manger. When they saw Him, they related what they had been told about this child, and all who heard it were astonished at what the shepherds said. But Mary treasured up all these words, pondering in her heart what they might mean. So, the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen; everything was just as they had been told.”) (These shepherds were close by, arriving when Jesus was still in the manger. Telling their experience of angels revealing Jesus’ birth, made them Jesus’ first witnesses.)

(Luke 2:21-24; “At the end of eight days, when Jesus was circumcised, He was named Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.” (It’s good for followers of Jesus to be circumcised. Even Jesus’ circumcision looked forward to our, being circumcised of heart. That is, “to have our fleshly nature cut back.” (See Deut 10:16) That glorious day is coming when Jesus returns to bring peace to His chosen. See Jesus’ prophecy through the prophets regarding Israel’s millennial deliverance to the borders promised Abraham.)

(Deut 30:5-8; “Then He (Jesus) will bring you to the land your ancestors possessed and you also will possess it; He will do better for you and multiply you more than He did your ancestors. The Lord your God will also cleanse “circumcise your heart” and the hearts of your descendants so that you may love Him with all your mind and being and so that you may live. Then the Lord your God will put all these curses on your enemies, on those who hate you and persecute you. You will return and obey the Lord, keeping all His commandments I am giving you today.”) (That you may love Him? Until our hearts are miraculously cleansed by God, we aren’t able to love Him.’ (At 1John 4:19; We’re taught “we love His because He first loved us.”)

(Luke 2:22-24; “Now when the time came for their purification according to the law of Moses, Joseph and Mary brought Jesus up to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord (Just as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every firstborn male will be set apart to the Lord”) and to offer a sacrifice according to what is specified in the law of the Lord, a pair of doves or two young pigeons.”) (Though spirit begotten, fathered by God Jesus experienced a fleshly life, born under the law that He Himself authored. Jesus always had a submissive attitude toward His Father and the laws of His own making. (See John 1:1-5, Colossians 1:15-20 & Heb 1:) Jesus inspired Jeremiah’s prophecies.)

(Jeremiah 4:4; “Just as ritual circumcision cuts away the foreskin as an external symbol of dedicated covenant commitment, you must genuinely dedicate yourselves to the Lord and get rid of everything that hinders your commitment to Me, people of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem. If you do not, My anger will blaze up like a flaming fire against you that no one will be able to extinguish. That will happen because of the evil you have done.”) (Fleshly people in general, have never understood the real meaning of circumcision. Jesus’ gospel and New Covenant is about our being fathered by God and inheriting a nature like, Jesus‘. Paul understood and revealed how we should be yielded to Jesus. How we should reflect a cleansing “a circumcision of the heart.” We’ll start there, next study if God be willing.

The Good News according to Luke, chapter, 1

Saturday, June 11th, 2022

To: 36,376 subscribers we pray ‘God is making Temples of His Spirit’, 6/11/22, God’s 3rd month, Sivan 12, 5,782, (Sabbath until sunset.)

A Christian is one immersed in, clothed with and believes in Jesus’ teaching. The same who said He was ‘Lord of the Sabbath’ also gave Israel the ten commandments through Moses. At the end of Jesus parable about a rich man in Hades; saying, ‘send Abraham to tell my brothers’ (Luke 16:31; Jesus replied to him, ‘If they do not respond to Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’) The difference in Moses’ and Jesus’ teaching is Jesus’ spiritual magnification: ‘circumcision being of the heart and the spiritual intent of the matter. (See Rom 2:29 & Jer 9:26 for starters.) (His view assemblies.com)

Holy God: please draw each seeker of truth to Yourself and give each persevering minds, so they may overcome to the end. We thank You for the privilege of asking in the faith of Jesus. AMEN.

Dr. Luke was also a journalist who witnessed what Jesus and particular apostles did, a traveling companion with primary ones mentioned. Luke wrote or dictated the gospel accounts titled, “Luke” and “Acts of the Apostles” describing both books as, “orderly accounts to, “most excellent, Theophilus.” Luke  believed in Jesus and particularly recorded His parables.

(Luke 1:1-4; “Now many have undertaken to compile an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, like the accounts passed on to us by those who were eyewitnesses and servants of the Word from the beginning. (Also see John 1:1-5) So it seemed good to me as well, “because I have followed all things carefully from the beginning” to write an orderly account for you, ‘most excellent Theophilus,’ so that you may know for certain the things you were taught.”) We each need to know “the certainty of things we’re taught.” We need to take the apostle Paul’s advice and examine things seriously, he wrote, “Examine all things; hold fast to what is good. Stay away from every form of evil.” 1Thess 5:21-22)

(Luke 1:5-7; “During the reign of Herod, “king of Judea” there lived a priest named Zechariah who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah, and he had a wife named Elizabeth, who was a descendant of Aaron. (Aaron and Moses was of the tribe of Levy.) They were righteous in the sight of God, following the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blamelessly. Zachariah did not have a child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both very old.”) Remember a characteristic of our Creator is to, “call and choose what the world thinks weak to shame the strong.” Paul understood this and quoted Jeremiah 9:24 for our learning.

(1Cor 1:27-31; “But God chose what the world thinks foolish to shame the wise, and God chose what the world thinks weak to shame the strong. God chose what is low and despised in the world, what is regarded as nothing, to set aside what is regarded as something, so that no one can boast in His presence. He (God the Father) is the reason you have a relationship with Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boastsboast in the Lord.”) Remember God had made Abraham and Sarah able to procreate when naturally to old, giving them Isaac. God the father does the calling and places the called in the care of God the Son. (In prayer to His Father, Jesus said, “I have revealed Your name (characteristics -nature- Your Way) to the men You gave Me out of the world. They belonged to you, and You gave them to Me, and they have obeyed Your Word.” John 17:6) Study the whole chapter. (No one can boast of spiritual understanding, because it’s revealed to His chosen.)

(Luke 1:8-17; “Now while Zechariah was serving as priest before God when his division was on duty, “he was chosen by lot, according to the custom of the priesthood” to enter the holy place of the Lord and burn incense. Now the whole crowd of people were praying outside at the hour of the incense offering. An angel of the Lord, standing on the right side of the altar of incense, appeared to him. And Zechariah, visibly shaken when he saw the angel, was seized with fear. But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son; you will name him John. Joy and gladness will come to you, and many will rejoice at his birth, for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He must never drink wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even before his birth. He will turn many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God. And he will go as forerunner before the Lord in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers back to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready for the Lord a people prepared for Him.”) (Jesus’ coming in the flesh, “born of a virgin” was preplanned before the foundation of the world as was this John’s purpose, who was filled with the Holy Spirit and power to go as a forerunner in the power of Elijah!)

(Luke 1:18-20; “Zechariah said to the angel, “How can I be sure of this? For I am an old man, and my wife is old as well.” The angel answered him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news. And now, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their time, you will be silent, unable to speak, until the day these things take place.”) (All things are fulfilled in God’s timing. Zachariah and we should believe IN, without questioning, is the lesson for you and I also.)

(Luke 1:21-23; “Now the people were waiting for Zechariah, and they began to wonder why he was delayed in the holy place. When he came out, he was not able to speak to them. They realized that he had seen a vision in the holy place, because he was making signs to them and remained unable to speak. When his time of service was over, he went to his home.”) (Remember, years before ten tribes were dispersed and later the tribe of Judah also because of disobedience. King Hezekiah allowed a smattering’s return, restore the temple and Priesthood. Jesus demonstrated respect for this priesthood when He sent healed people to the priest according to the law.)

(Luke 1:24-25; “After some time Zachariah’s wife Elizabeth became pregnant, and for five months she kept herself in seclusion. She said, “This is what the Lord has done for me at the time when He has been gracious to me, to take away my disgrace among people.” (In that day it was traditional and considered disgraceful to be barren.)

(Luke 1:26-35; “In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, a descendant of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. Gabriel came to her and said, “Greetings, favored one, the Lord is with you!” But Mary was greatly troubled by his words and began to wonder about the meaning of this greeting. So, the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God! Listen: You will become pregnant and give birth to a Son, and you will name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most-High, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will never end.” Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I have not had sexual relations with a man?” The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most-High will overshadow you. Therefore, the child to be born will be holy; He will be called the Son of God.”)

If we had no other prophecy than this one by Gabriel, Believers IN would know. (a) Gabriel spoke God’s Words. (b) Mary was chosen. (c) Jesus was miraculously fathered by God the Father, (spiritually Begotten, filled with the Holy Spirit at conception.) (d) Jesus’ linage is from David as was prophesied. (e) Jesus is heir to the throne of David. (f) Jesus is to reign over the house of Jacob (Israel) forever. (Spiritual Israelites? See Galatians 3:29.) (g) After the millennia, even after New Jerusalem comes down, Jesus’ kingdom continues. It’s gifted knowledge to Believers IN, that the kingdom of God revealed. It’s God adding to His family.

Gabriel continues.

(Luke 1:36-38; “And look, your relative Elizabeth has also become pregnant with a son in her old age – although she was called barren, she is now in her sixth month! For nothing will be impossible with God.” So, Mary said, “Yes, I am a servant of the Lord; let this happen to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.”) (John was about 6 months older than Jesus.)

(Luke 1:39-45; “In those days Mary got up and went hurriedly into the hill country, to a town of Judah, and entered Zechariah’s house and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. She exclaimed with a loud voice, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child in your womb! And who am I that the mother of my Lord should come and visit me? For the instant the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. And blessed is she who believed that what was spoken to her by the Lord would be fulfilled.”) (Seemingly Elizabeth is speaking of herself and Mary, when she spoke, “blessed is she who believed that what was spoken to her by the Lord would be fulfilled.”)

Now, Mary prophesies about things revealed to her.

(Luke 1:46 -56; And Mary said, “My soul exalts the Lord, and my spirit has begun to rejoice in God my Savior, because He has looked upon the humble state of His servant. For from now on all generations will call me blessed, because He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name, from generation to generation. He is merciful to those who fear Him. He has demonstrated power with His arm; He has scattered those whose pride wells up from the sheer arrogance of their hearts. He has brought down the mighty from their thrones and has lifted up those of lowly position; He has filled the (spirituallyhungry with good things and has sent the rich away empty. He has helped His servant Israel, remembering His mercy, as He promised to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.”) So, Mary stayed with Elizabeth about three months and then returned to her home. John may have been born before Mary left. Consider the gifted understanding and wisdom revealed to Mary. Likely Mary witnessed Zachariah’s miraculous blessing of having his speech restored.

(Luke 1:57-66; “Now the time came for Elizabeth to have her baby, and she gave birth to a son. Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown great mercy to her, and they rejoiced with her. On the eighth day they came to circumcise the child, and they wanted to name him Zechariah after his father. But Elizabeth replied, “No! He must be named John.” They said to her, “But none of your relatives bears this name.” So, they made signs to the baby’s father, inquiring what he wanted to name his son. Zachariah asked for a writing tablet and wrote, “His name is John.” And they were all amazed. Immediately Zechariah’s mouth was opened, his tongue released, and he spoke, blessing God. All their neighbors were filled with fear, and throughout the entire hill country of Judea all these things were talked about. All who heard these things kept them in their hearts, saying, “What then will this child be?” For the Lord’s hand was indeed with him.”) (Blessed indeed are we, whose minds and being, have these truths imputed; so that our believing IN reflects God in us. Thus, we are spiritually compelled not to practice the ways God calls sin.

God idetifies Himself, Ways & Holy Seasons, chapter 31 of 31

Wednesday, June 8th, 2022

To: 36,306 subscribers we pray are being made “temples of God’s Spirit.” 6/8/22, God’s 3rd Mo. Sivan 9, 5,782, (week day 4 until sunset)

Biblical chronology and the Judean calendar agree that Adam’s creation was about 5,782 years ago and today’s science news is reporting that all people came from a single man and woman union, but irrational science don’t want to admit that God did the creating. The whole world is purposely anti God, because to admit He is as His Word professes Him to be would demand accountability The facts are, Creator, Re-Creator, Sustainer, Deliverer, Mediator and Savior Jesus is going to return; then the whole world will ultimately become accountable. This earth was purposely flooded before the re-creation Jesus performed as written in Genesis 1.

Creators God the Father and God the Son lovingly planned to increase their family through life giver “Jesus” as promised in the New Testament. (See Colossians 1:15-20.) Creator Jesus’ prophesied through His apostle Paul about false science teaching.

Teach them and exhort them about these things. (1Tim 6:3-19; “If someone spreads false teachings and does not agree with sound words (that is, those of our Lord Jesus Christ) and with the teaching that accords with godliness, he is conceited and understands nothing, but has an unhealthy interest in controversies and verbal disputes. This gives rise to envy, dissension, slanders, evil suspicions, and constant bickering by people corrupted in their minds and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a way of making a profit. Now godliness combined with contentment brings great profit. For we have brought nothing into this world and so we cannot take a single thing out either. But if we have food and shelter, we will be satisfied with that.” (Profit is made by people teaching a false science claiming global warming is manmade and the doctrine of evolution.) Not mindful that one erupting volcanic puts more carbon out than humanity could in a year.

“Those who long to be rich, however, stumble into temptation and a trap and many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all evils. Some people in reaching for it have strayed from the faith and stabbed themselves with many pains. But you, as a person dedicated to God, keep away from all that. Instead pursue righteousness, endurance, godliness, faithfulness, love, and gentleness.” “Compete well for the faith and lay hold of that eternal life you were called for and made your good confession for in the presence of many witnesses. I charge you before God who gives life to all things and Christ Jesus who made His good confession before Pontius Pilate, to obey this command without fault or failure until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose, appearing the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, will reveal at the right time.”

Jesus alone possesses immortality and lives in unapproachable light, whom no human has ever seen or is able to see. To him be honor and eternal power! Amen.” Command those who are rich in this world’s goods not to be haughty or to set their hope on riches, which are uncertain, but on God who richly provides us with all things for our enjoyment. Tell them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, to be generous givers, sharing with others. In this way they will save up a treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the future and so lay hold of what is truly life.”)

“Through His apostle Peter, Jesus compared the many false denominational leaders to irrational animals who are born to be caught and killed, “these will be destroyed when Jesus returns.”) (See 2Pet 2:12.) Jude wrote, “false teachers will be destroyed for, they mimic animals.” Shame on today’s cowardly professing Christian clergy, who follow popular tradition, rather than teaching the holy scriptures.”

(Jude 1:11; “Woe to them! For they have traveled down Cain’s path, and because of greed have abandoned themselves to Balaam’s error; hence, they will certainly perish in Korah’s rebellion.”) Cain and Korah reasoned, “Surely God is pleased with me doing as seems right.” (Jude 1:12-13; “These men are dangerous reefs at your love feasts, feasting without reverence, feeding only themselves. They are waterless clouds, carried along by the winds; autumn trees without fruit, – twice dead, uprooted; wild sea waves, spewing out the foam of their shame; wayward stars for whom the utter depths of eternal darkness have been reserved.”)

Twice dead? Their fate is already determined, feeding themselves, making merchandise of people and teaching traditionalism! Jude believed a second death await these clergy types, for feeding only themselves. (See Revelation 2:11, 20:6, 20:14) & (Revelations 21:7-8; “The one who conquers will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My child. But to the cowards, unbelievers, detestable persons, murderers, the sexually immoral, and those who practice magic spells, idol worshipers, and all those who lie, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. That is the second death.”) Long before the Noah day flood, Enoch was teaching about Jesus’ second coming. (Jude 1:14-23; “Now Enoch, the seventh in descent beginning with Adam, even prophesied of them, saying, “Look! The Lord is coming with thousands and thousands of his holy ones, to execute judgment on all, and to convict every person of all their thoroughly ungodly deeds that they have committed, and of all the harsh words that, ungodly sinners have spoken against the Lord.” These people are grumblers and fault - finders, who go wherever their desires lead them, and they give bombastic speeches, enchanting folks for their own gain.”) Apparently Jude had access to Enoch’s writing. Enoch was Cain’s son. (See Genesis 4:7)

“But you, dear friends – recall the predictions foretold by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. For they said to you, “In the end time there will come scoffers, propelled by their own ungodly desires.”) Now more Peter.

(2 Peter 3:2-3; “I want you to recall both the predictions foretold by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles. Above all, understand this: In the last days blatant scoffers will come, being propelled by their own evil urges and saying, “Where is Jesus’ promised return?)

These people are divisive, worldly, devoid of the Spirit. But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith, by praying in the Holy Spirit, maintain yourselves in the love of God, while anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that brings eternal life. And have mercy on those who waver; save others by snatching them out of the fire; have mercy on others, coupled with a fear of God, hating even the clothes stained by the flesh.”) Clothes stained by the flesh is a spiritual terminology, as “being clothed with Christ and putting on Christ.” Many that desire to be Christ like, are stained by fleshly desires; in that, fleshly desires overpowers, what they know to be true. To be clothed with Christ is to practice ways pleasing to Him.

(Jude 1:24-25; “Now to the One who is able to keep you from falling, and to cause you to stand, rejoicing, without blemish before His glorious presence, to the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, power, and authority, before all time, and now, and for all eternity. Amen”)

Our English dictionary defines Apostate as “renouncing belief or allegiance.” (According to Luke, John the Baptist announced his allegiance to Jesus, saying, “One more powerful than I am, is coming – I am not worthy to untie the strap of His sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. His winnowing fork is in His hand to clean out His threshing floor and to gather the wheat into His storehouse, but the chaff He will burn up with inextinguishable fire.” (Luke 3:15-20)

We know John was imprisoned and beheaded for telling Herod and Herodias, “Herod’s brother’s wife” they were wrong to be living together and the evil deeds Herod had done. John prophesied that through Jesus, the holy spirit would immerse “baptize” some, and others with fire. The world is “Jesus’ threshing floor.” Wheat represents Jesus’ followers and the chaff, unbelievers who will be burned up, “die a second death” unless they turn to God. Organized religions that call themselves Christian renounced Jesus, when they introduced pagan customs to God’s church; when they taught that, “God allowed a weekly Sabbath change, when they forsook His annual Sabbaths that foreshadow His plan for our saving.” In Jesus millennial reign His weekly and annual Sabbaths will be acknowledged. (Study Zechariah 14:)

“Jesus’ good news began when He commanded Adam and Eve, not to eat fruit from a particular tree, less they die; avoiding eternal death.” (Their disobedience caused their descendants to inherit a sin nature, which must be turned from through Jesus’ faith, to inherit immortality.) A proper sacrifice that looked to Jesus’ shed blood for the remission of sin was commanded. To unbelievers Jesus said; (Matt 23:34-36; “For this reason I am sending you prophets and wise men and experts in the law, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town, so that on you will come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. I, tell you the truth, this generation will be held responsible for all these things!”) Speaking to Believers through Paul, Jesus references our prayers, liking them to the Israelites during their deliverance.

(Heb 12:22-29; “But you ’Believers’ have come to Mount Zion, the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the assembly and congregation of the firstborn, who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous, who have been made perfect, and to Jesus, the Mediator of a New Covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks of something better than Abel’s does. (Abel’s shed blood cried out to the Lord for justice and judgment, but Jesus’ blood speaks of redemption and forgiveness, something better than Abel’s.) See (Gen 4:10; Heb 9:11-14 & 11:4). Take care not to refuse the One who is speaking! For if they did not escape when they refused the One who warned them on earth, how much less shall we, if we reject the One who warns from heaven? Then His voice shook the earth, but now He has promised, “I will once more shake not only the earth but heaven too.” (Quote from Haggai 2:6.) (Jesus is the Son called by the Father to enact a New Covenant which established a new relationship between God the Father and His people, entirely on God’ the Father’s terms. “Now this phrase “once more” indicates the removal of what is shaken, that is, of created things, so that what is unshaken may remain. So, since we are receiving an unshakable kingdom, let us give thanks, and through this let us offer worship pleasing to God in devotion and awe. For our God is indeed a devouring fire.” (Quote from Deut 4:24; & 9:3.)

Hopefully each called person understands that God’s laws and oracles are perpetual, we’ll be looking back and forward to their spiritual magnifications and benefits during Jesus millennial reign. The whole world will learn the benefit of God’s calendar. Review our Pentecost study from yesterday.

Doctor Luke witnessed Jesus’ life and much of what His apostles did. He wrote the, “gospel of Luke” and “Acts of the Apostles” both are addressed to “Theophilus”, a person asking sincere questions of him about Jesus and The Kingdom of God.

(Acts 1:1-5; “I (Luke) wrote the former account, Theophilus, about all that Jesus began to do and teach until the day He was taken up to heaven, after He had given orders by the Holy Spirit to the apostles He had chosen. To the same apostles also, after His suffering, He presented Himself alive with many convincing proofs. He was seen by them over a forty-day period and spoke about matters concerning the kingdom of God. While He was with them, He declared, “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait there for what My Father promised, which you heard about from Me. For John baptized with water, but you will be baptized ‘immersed’ with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”) (Noting that Jesus was seen of His apostles over a 40 day  period, His being in the tomb 3 days and nights, seems to make it obvious that His ascension was 7 days before Pentecost.)

Review Acts 1:7-11 & Acts 2. Jesus had previously explained the characteristics of the Holy Spirit’s entrance and making people at one with Himself, ‘born again’ to Nicodemus. Let’s review John 3:7-8; Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must all be born from above.’ The wind blows wherever it will, and you hear the sound it makes, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.) Jesus’ good news demonstrates that God the Father preplanned Jesus’ return with power to assume His position on earth as King of Kings and why He preplanned that time is to be cut short, was, “for the Elect‘s sake.” May we each be led to pray that our kingdom, soon come.

Though Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever, ‘new beginnings for His people were always planned.’ (The Noah day flood was a new beginning as was Jesus’ calling and making awesome promises to Abraham. The New Covenant principle of reveled teachings and Jesus’ faith imputed to believer’s minds depict new beginnings. His promised return to bring peace and deliverance will be a new beginning. Abraham’s future position with his heirs and Isaac’ birth was by promise. Remember Isaac was born when Abraham and Sarah were past reproductive age. Jacob’s birth, calling, promises, and name change; his descendants enslavement, deliverance through Moses, the covenant, forty years of total care, Joshua’s calling, the miraculous Jordan river crossing as they celebrating another Passover season celebration and manna’s cease when Israel began eating from crops from the promised lands.

Israel’s greatness was by grace, they’d done nothing to deserve their blessings. Israel’s disobedience, scattering, a smattering restored to Judea under Roman authority was all predestined, as was the promised Messiah Savior (Jesus’) birth and a new spiritual covenant with promises of eternal life to Believers. (Believers being a spiritually called out people made ‘at one’ with Jesus, to become spiritual Israelites and heirs with Abraham.)

More new beginning will be Jesus’ second coming, the Elect’s resurrection to serve-rule with Jesus, Satan bound, peace on earth, righteous judgment, another miraculous deliverance of Israel back to the promised lands, while all people calling on the name of the Lord being saved. After 1,000 years, Satan’s release to go out and deceive, a final judgment and New Jerusalem’s coming down with God the Father. (Jesus’ millennial reign was prophesied.) (Joel (3:1) After all of this I will pour out My Spirit on all kinds of people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your elderly will have revelatory dreams; your young men will see prophetic visions. (Joel 2:29-32; “Even on male and female servants I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will produce portents both in the sky and on the earth – blood, fire, and columns of smoke. The sunlight will be turned to darkness and the moon to the color of blood, before the day of the Lord comes – that great and terrible day! It will so happen that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be delivered. For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who survive, just as the Lord has promised; the remnant will be those whom the Lord will call.”) Always study the whole.

It’s promised to Abraham and his heirs, God the Father’s predestined people, ‘the fathered’, “the born again’ or ‘born from above’, called people that overcome to the end will be saved to eternal life. Be gifted with Jesus’ nature and made literal children through Him. The very same Jesus shared with Moses, in Joshua’s presence; that He knew how the Israelites would prostitute themselves to other gods and turn from Him. Likewise He foreknew the apostate that would develop during Jesus’ apostle’s lifetime and continue until His second coming. (See Deut 31:16-23,)

James and Jude were Joseph and Mary’s sons and Jesus’ half brothers. Each became devout followers of Jesus, after His resurrection. Each probably wrote much more than what’s recorded. Jude particularly was compelled to write about the apostate he was witnessing taking place, (an apostate likened to Israel’s prostituting themselves.) As the old covenant was written to Israel, the New Testament-Covenant is written to God’s Church, (spiritual Israelites) not to the world at large. Take note of the ones Jude’s letter is addressed to. (Jude 1:1-2; “From Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to those who are called, wrapped in the love of God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ. May mercy, peace, and love be lavished on you.) (If we’re followers of Jesus, we’ve been called by God the Father, our minds are opened to understand the scriptures and kept for Jesus. This is the common salvation, the way God adds to His family, (His Church.)

(Jude 1:3; Dear friends, although I have been eager to write to you about our common salvation, I now feel compelled instead to write to encourage you to contend earnestly for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the Saints. (Faith entrusted to Jesus’ followers is likened to Abraham’s faith and God the Father’s fathering, as gifted on and after that first Pentecost after Jesus‘ ascension.) (Jude 1:4; “For certain men have secretly slipped in among you – men who long ago were marked out for the condemnation I am about to describe – ungodly men who have turned the grace of our God into a license for evil and who deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.”) (Remember Jesus’ identity is revealed at John 1:1-5. Colossians 1:15-20 & Hebrews 1. God foreknew these marked out deceivers, for their condemnation. It was evil of these people, to turn people back to the idea of law keeping for salvation and to prostitute themselves to paganism, rather than believing IN (obeying) Jesus for their saving. Evil of them to introduce pagan practices with a mix of Judaism, calling it God’s righteous ways. These Satan inspired deceptions, through fleshly minded unbelievers, pretty much sum up the apostate that invaded God’s Church and will until Jesus’ return.)

(Jude 1:5-6; “Now I desire to remind you (even though you have been fully informed of these facts once for all) that Jesus, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, later destroyed those who did not believe.” (Jude knew his half brother, (Jesus) was the Son of God and that it was He who delivered the Israelites from Egyptian bondage. Jude understood the comparison of Israel’s deliverance from Egypt, to our calling, deliverance and separation from this world’s system of things. If only professing Christianity believed and taught this fact; (imagine the togetherness and peace that would flow from that knowledge.)

(Jude 1:6; “You also know that the angels who did not keep within their proper domain but abandoned their own place of residence, Jesus has kept in eternal chains in utter darkness, locked up for the judgment of the great Day.”) (When we consider Jesus’ prophetic revelations to John about Satan, we know Jesus will keep these demonic angels in eternal chains, utter darkness, locked up for the judgment of that great future Day, (when Jesus returns. This prophecy is absolute, spoken of as in past tense because it’s certain. When Jesus returns, Satan and his demons bound until a preplanned release date, to go out and deceive, (particularly Gog & Magog.) (See Ezekiel 38:2)

Rev. 20:7-10; “Now when the thousand years are finished, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth, (Gog and Magog) to bring them together for the battle. They are as numerous as the grains of sand in the sea. They went up on the broad plain of the earth and encircled the camp of the Saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and devoured them completely. And the devil that deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet are too, and they will be tormented there day and night forever and ever.”)

(Jude 1:7; “So also Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighboring towns, since they indulged in sexual immorality and pursued unnatural desire in a way similar to these angels, are now displayed as an example by suffering the punishment of eternal fire.” (God foreknew what happened at Sodom & Gomorrah and these things are recorded, (preserved for our learning.) Today’s current Pope says he can’t judge homosexual priests. He’s out of step with Jesus’ apostle Paul. (See 1Corinthians 6)

(Jude 1:8-10; “Yet these men, (of Sodom & Gomorrah), as a result of their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and insult the glorious Ones. But even when Michael the archangel was arguing with the devil and debating with him concerning Moses’ body, he did not dare to bring a slanderous judgment, but said, “May the Lord rebuke you!” But these men do not understand the things they slander, and they are being destroyed by the very things that, like irrational animals, they instinctively comprehend.”) (Peter concurs)

(1Peter 2:12; “Like irrational animals, these false teachers do grasp one thing, “their instinctive behavior is like animals in heat.”) (Peter notes that, “Though they claim to be guided by special spiritual insight gained in heavenly revelations, they are in fact following the sexual instincts which they share with animals.”) Such aren’t believers IN Jesus but believers in tradition, Baal etc.
