Paul to the Philippians, chapter 5
Friday, September 30th, 2022To: 39,939 subscribers we pray God is making Temples of His spirit. 9/30/22 God’s 7th “month, Tishrel 5, 5,783. (Day 6 until sunset.)
HALLOWED means venerated: honor as holy, ‘it’s the word Jesus used when teaching how to pray.’ God is holy, alive and ‘His church is a holy living organism’ ‘not an organization.’ (Webster’s dictionary identifies an Organism as a living thing:) God’s church is a living organism, ‘alive through His indwelling spirit in His called people, making each one spiritually born anew.’ To believe in requires God’s calling. Dr. Luke quoted Paul teaching as much to gentiles after the Jews rejected out of jealously.
(See Acts 13:47-52; For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have appointed you to be a light for the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’” When the Gentiles heard this, they began to rejoice and praise the word of the Lord, and all who had been appointed for eternal life believed. So the word of the Lord was spreading through the entire region. But the Jews incited the God-fearing women of high social standing and the prominent men of the city, stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and threw them out of their region. So after they shook the dust off their feet in protest against them, they went to Iconium. And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.) (Our Lord’s brother ‘James’ explains how faith and works are together.)
(James 2:19-26; You believe that God is one; well and good. Even the demons believe that – and tremble with fear. But would you like evidence, you empty fellow, that faith without works is useless? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? You see that his faith was working together with his works and his faith was perfected by works. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Now Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend. You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. And similarly, was not Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when she welcomed the messengers and sent them out by another way? For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.)
God’s church foundation is built on the whole word of God; Old Testament written in Hebrew and the New in Greek, writers are all called by God to write what He said and revealed. God used a particular chosen people of Hebrew/Jew/Israel heritage, Prophets, Apostles and Jesus the Cornerstone. (Eph 2:11-22; Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh – who are called “uncircumcision” by the so-called “circumcision” that is performed on the body by human hands – that you were at that time without the Messiah, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
For He is our peace, the One who made both groups into one and who destroyed the middle wall of partition, the hostility, when He nullified in His flesh the law of commandments in decrees. He did this to create in Himself one new man out of two, thus making peace, and to reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which the hostility has been killed. And He came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near, so that through Him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you (gentiles) are no longer foreigners and noncitizens, but you are fellow citizens with the Saints and members of God’s household, because you have been built on the foundation of (Israel’s) apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the Cornerstone. In Him the whole building, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.) (This is how and why we can pray, God make each subscriber His Temple of His Spirit.)
Organizations of men can’t possibly become a church of God. When Jesus called and built a gentile congregation through His apostles they knew from where His descent was from. They knew they were being called to become spiritual Israelites. All brought near by the blood of Christ.
Each taught that the weekly seventh day was the Sabbath and it looked to Jesus’ millennial rule on earth. That set aside times are perpetual for Israel and all God’s set aside peoole. So, what’s a believers’ relationship to God’s other 10 commandments? (So to the gentile Romans Paul explained how the Testator (Jesus’) death made His new covenant a reality. He being the one who gave and Israel agreed to the old covenant, His death released them from the old and His resurrected gave all who believed in Him a new covenant, not destroying the law but spiritually magnifying it.
(Romans 7:1-6; Or do you not know, brothers and sisters, (for I am speaking to those who know the law) that the law is lord over a person as long as he lives? For a married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he lives, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law of the marriage. So then, if she is joined to another man while her husband is alive, she will be called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is free from that law and if she is joined to another man, she is not an adulteress. So, my brothers and sisters you also died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you could be joined to another, to the One who was raised from the dead, to bear fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the sinful desires aroused by the law were active in the members of our body to bear fruit for death. But now we ‘Believers IN Jesus’ have been released from the law, because we have ‘spiritually’ died to what controlled us, so that we may serve in the new life of the Spirit and not under the old written code.”) (Likewise, the covenant Testator ‘Jesus’ died to free we Believers IN Him from the penalty of our having broke the law, which was eternal death. So Jesus explained more in the Hebrews text.
(Hebrews 9:15-27; And so, He (the resurrected Jesus) is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the eternal inheritance He has promised, since He died to set them free from the violations committed under the first covenant. For where there is a will, the death of the one who made it must be proven. For a will takes effect only at death, since it carries no force while the one who made it is alive. So even the first covenant was inaugurated with blood. For when Moses had spoken every command to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats with water and scarlet wool and hyssop and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, and said, “This is the blood of the covenant that God has commanded you to keep.” And both the tabernacle and all the utensils of worship he likewise sprinkled with blood. Indeed, according to the law almost everything was purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. So, it was necessary for the sketches of the things in heaven be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves required better sacrifices than these. For ‘our Creator’ Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with hands – the representation of the true sanctuary – but into heaven itself, and He appears now in God’s presence for us. (As Mediator) And He did not enter to offer Himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the sanctuary year after year with blood that is not his own, for then He ‘Jesus’ would have had to suffer again and again since the foundation of the world. But now He has appeared once for all at the consummation of the ages to put away sin by His sacrifice. And just as people are appointed to die once, and then to face judgment, so also, after Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, to those who eagerly await Him He will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to bring salvation.”)
The Holy Spirit of truth when imputed to the mind produces a genuine love for God’s spiritual intent of the law. (The law isn’t done away but fulfilled by Jesus’ sacrificing His life blood for the remission of sins previously committed. (Let’s review.) Jesus’ fulfillment is a spiritual magnification of the law. Example; (Matt 5:27-28; “You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to desire her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.) With Jesus’ principle regarding adultery in mind, think about how He’d magnify the other commandments: for example, (‘you shall not murder.’ To hate someone to the degree of wishing him dead is committing murder spiritually.) Followers of Jesus can apply the same principle to each commandment.
